Adolf could feel the tension in the air. He'd come to Mystic Fountain to try and find his goddaughter, Athena, and just visit her since he was passing through, but there was something going down in the woods he'd found himself almost lost in somewhere along the way. He could smell an elf and a snake, something that was probably one of those newfangled robot-things and something very dark and chaotic. It was this darkness that seemed to permeate the most, and the elf's scent was getting continually weaker.

Confused, he decided that he might as well find out what was happening since he was there anyway. Besides, people tended to listen to demons... but then again, he was in his human form now, and though it was often still considered an impressive sight, it wasn't much in comparison to a twenty-foot-tall wolf.

He walked into the middle of the fray, absentmindedly brushing a couple twigs from his old gray travel suit. "...What's happening here?" he asked, aimed at anyone.

There was a tiny twitch in Ophi's eye. "And it wouldn't kill me, you know that. So go on, go back to Ialo's side. Twist his mind, and force him to be something he hates. That's what you do best, anyways."

The woman silently stepped aside. "I will record that as an affirmative answer. Perhaps I may ask you more questions while I am on duty."

"You mean something you hate. That is the difference between us serpent, you callously force your beliefs onto those close to you, you never listen to what they want, what they desire, how they want to be. All I do is grant people what they want, I give them everything they need to be happy. Do you really think so ******** highly of yourself that you use yourself as a model for everyone else? If so, you're more of an idiot than I ever thought possible."

He jammed his right hand to his face and began to squeeze his temples, the constant bickering and questions and idiocy was beginning to take a toll on him.
"N...Fine, fine. Do whatever the hell you want, just make it quick."

((Oh and he would have gotten violent normally, but he has to restrain himself for now since he's in such a weakened state))

{{Yeah, but that potion should have given him a much stronger power boost. Of course, that power boost is supposed to help white magic, so it might not have worked as good as it did on Ophi and the others. When Riser is at his full state, he and Lin will HAVE to have another encounter!! biggrin }}

Adolf just stared at everyone and sighed. Maybe his question wouldn't be answered. Kneeling beside the elf, he gently put a hand on her shoulder. "Are you alright, little one?"

"I want to establish with you the knowledge that I am not here to hurt Ialo," the nameless female robot said. "My task is employ myself at the school and take on Ialo's duties temporarily so that he can rest without having to catch up on work. He being a severe workaholic, I have been granted the use of force to ensure that he does in fact, actually get rest beyond his current state of unconsciousness. Even if it requires me to inflict a second state of consciousness."

Even someone lightly and caringly resting their hand on her shoulder caused Lin to groan softly in pain because she was deteriorating so quickly, just like the plants and water life around her.

All she could do was wince in pain at the stranger's question and lose even more color in her skin.

Adolf frowned. This wasn't good at all. He quickly deduced it was because of the loss of life; not a had conclusion to come by after remembering that she was an elf, and therefore directly tied to nature. He murmured a small spell of healing, hoping it would work. Demonic magic was not, by far, anything close to white magic, but he hoped it would help her. There was little else he could do short of moving her, and that would cause her more pain and then she may be mad at him because he was a Yokai; he knew well the prejudices white-magic users, especially elves, had against anything even relatively 'dark'.

Ophiuchus snorted. "If you ask Ialo, he will tell you that this is not what he wanted." But you don't ask, because you don't give a damn about what others think.

He turned his head to the side, and looked at Lin. She was dying. And yet, Ophiuchus wasn't freaking out. That... was the strangest sensation, to calmly watch someone you cared for die in pain. But at the same time, he knew she wouldn't die. She couldn't die. It was like he was willing Lin to not die, and because of that... it was working? He could heal with a touch, maybe he could heal with thoughts too.

He silently walked over to her, and held his hand just above her head. She still hated him, but he was still the one who could heal her best right now.

{{Cool post, Secret! smile }}

The magic spell did give Lin some energy, but it didn't last. As long as she was in this dying area, as long as nature was dying around her, she, too, would continue to deteriorate. And Lin didn't want someone to focus on saving her at the expense of the forest around her. That forest had been there for thousands of years. It needed to be saved first.

Lin shook her head slightly and said softly, her voice still with a haunting lilt to it, "No. The forest... help the forest, please. I will be alright."

Adolf saw the snake-man come over and he let the other take control. The snake-man seemed to know what he was doing, while Adolf did not truly know. Vaguely, he wondered if after all this was done any of them could show him to Mystic Fountain High School so he could find Athena. Then he decided he would have to tell them his name first because otherwise it'd be quite rude.

But... oh, would it be better to heal the forest? Well, he couldn't do that, per se, but he figured he could put up a small shielding charm that would, at least, stop the death in its place. Another murmured spell, accompanied by a soft flash of reddish light, and this went into effect.

Lin felt Professor Akakios come around her, and she frowned/winced as he leaned over her. She didn't want anything to do with him. He was more concerned with bring that dark, cruel man back, of apologizing to him, than he was with helping the forest! She was not the man she thought he was, not by a long shot, and she wanted him to leave her alone!

But since she was so weak, she couldn't even move herself away from her professor. Just frown deeply.

But she did feel that the stranger was trying to help the forest by stopping the dying process. It didn't heal it, but it stopped it from dying, and she was very appreciated of that. She tried to smile at the stranger, but not knowing if she did.

Adolf saw the attempted smile in that pained movement from the elf, and he gave a returning, but brief, smile of his own. His idea must have worked at least a little bit, and he was glad for that.

Ophiuchus frowned slightly. It wasn't like it was a big task for him, to heal the forest. He... he had forgotten how selfless Lin was. No wonder she hated him, he was extremely insensitive.

His eyes glowed brightly, and his Ouroboros motif appeared, as a wide ring of light that began from where he stood and expanded out hundreds of feet before diluting into ambient light. With that wave of white magic, the forest slowly sprung back to full vigor.

"Thank you stranger, for stopping the forest from dying. You made it that much easier for me." Ophiuchus spoke softly, in feeble hopes that Lin would not hear his voice.
