His eyes rolled and he allowed the smirk to fly onto his face. “Who said we were going further? I know I didn’t. Putting a hoof in the water is so that the winner, so me, knows they were there first and thereby making them the winner.” He said with an all knowing tone sticking to his sentences. “And I’m sure that you really don’t like to get wet.” He stated. Ed knew he was going to win, and he wanted to let her know so that she didn’t give her hopes up.

She blinked at him, considering that not too long ago, he was bragging about how he got further than her. She sighed and shook her head, just getting a tad annoyed on how he would say one thing, then just say another. She eyed him for a moment. "Hmmm... you seem to be so confident. Why should I even bother racing if you're so certain that you'll win?" She asked, giving her tail a flick.

Tilting his head he nodded. “That makes sense. Maybe we shouldn’t race then.” She was confusing him, he thought with surprise. Thinking back on this conversation he detected that he might have contradicted himself somewhere. He gave a mental shrug, moving it to the back of his mind. Maybe she would rather just walk back. “Do you just want to take a stroll back? Catch our breath or something?” Even though his breathing wasn’t any different. Maybe they could…talk?

"Maybe we shouldn't." She said a bit dryly. Now, she rarely ever got like this, but his constant changing his mind or words starting to wear her just a tad bit thin. She nickered softly, getting it out of her mind so it didn't bother her anymore and gave her tail a flick. "The walk sounds lovely to be honest." She said, her cheerful smile returning to her.

Ed heard the aggravation at the beginning of her words as she agreed with him on not running anywhere. To tell the truth, he was getting a bit aggravated with himself as well. She kept getting his thoughts jumbled and he was rather used to them being in perfect working order. Perhaps on the walk they took he would be able to assemble his mind so that his thoughts weren’t as crazy as he thought they were. Taking the initiative he turned in the direction towards the lake and nodded his head, “Shall we?”

Charl has never met one so confusing, yet so interesting to be around ever, but she had to be honest... it was quite fun to be around him. When he had turned and asked if they should go, she nodded and took a step to follow after him. "Lets."

He gave another small smile, one that lighted up his golden eyes, and he made a daring move and took a step closer to her. “Then let us go.” He started walking, and he had to admit, it had been one of the most interesting, and funniest days he had had so far in his life.
So, I think this is done, yes!?

She returned his smile warmly, tail swishing softly. When he stepped closer to her, she blushed softly but followed after him slowly, wondering where their walk would lead them, enjoying the time they had together.
