Kazuki lowered all the way down and then looked up without turning he spoke.
"I still will not tell you what I mean..." Kazuki turned and looked at Ari. He slowly walked over and stoped a good few feet away from him.

"I'll figure it out on my own, then. I came to ask you if you would be interested in joining a tribe I'm going to make, dedicated to the moon. You seem to understand the importance of the moon, and you're a nice, calm kit...perfect for my tribe. So, would you like to join?"
He hoped Kazuki would say yes. If he couldn't even recruit Kazuki, who seemed perfect for his tribe, he didn't even want to think about his chances with Rendo, or any other modifox he met.

"I will join but you must treat me as an equal." Kazuki said this with all seriousness. Though he would glance away a few times he meant what he said. He wanted to be equal to Ari. He felt confident in this as if it was a message from the moon itself.

"And why should I?"
He wasn't challenge what the kit was saying, yet. He honestly wanted to know what skills Kazuki thought he possessed that would make him worthy of leading a tribe. Or if he had some other reason, Ari wanted to know what that reason might be.

Kazuki chuckled a bit and shook his head.
"I gave you the reason already." Kazuki began to walk by Ari and stoped. He looked at Ari a bit shyly. Since he knew he might be over doing it. Yet he had to. It was the only way to learn.

"So, because there are two faces to the moon, there should be two leaders. Is that your only reason? Let me try asking again: why should you be my equal? How are you more qualified than...Rendo, for example?"
Had the kit known that he was planning to make a tribe, before he had told him? That was a bit worrisome. But Ari wasn't going to think about it too much, yet. It all depended on how Kazuki answered his questions.

Kazuki just looked at Ari and paused for a moment.
"Who else can hear the call of the moon? To be a leader you must be hunter, scout, shaman, gather and what ever else is required to be a leader and to step in in case the head hunter or gather or anything is out" Kazuki then stoped to think for a bit he needed to be careful since Ari was determined to be the only leader.
"Plus can you really handle everything from just down below and on your own?"

"So, you claim to have all of those skills, then?"
If the kit was telling the truth, and was as talented as it sounded like he was describing himself, then Ari could see the benefit of having him as a co-leader, or something. He had to admit, so far Kazuki was the only other fox he had met who felt the same call he did.
Although it would be odd to give someone so much younger than him a position of power. But he desperately needed more tribe members, and Kazuki seemed his best bet. If Kazuki truly was that talented, maybe Ari could get used to the idea of him leading the tribe, too. But as an equal like Kazuki demanded? He didn't know.
"Suppose I find some fox who's more talented than you in those areas. What then?"
Was Kazuki's perceptions of his own skills inflated by ego? Or was that simple fact that he acknowledged? If it was fact, would Kazuki agree to listen if Ari found this hypothetically more skilled fox?
Or was Kazuki simply looking for power, and unwilling to fully submit to authority? Could he count on Kazuki to listen to him, once the tribe was started? Or would Kazuki go off and do his own thing, using the authority he wanted Ari to grant to him to try to control the tribe, and make it more Kazuki's than Ari's?
((Bleah, post at midnight, pardon the incoherency.))

Kazuki smiled softly.
"Should such a fox come about and you truelly feel they are more skilled then I will step down or let them have it. Though I should tell you. Do not just judge by size. I may be a kit now but I wont be forever. Do not let that power contorl you. For a I worry that you may let it go to your head." Kazuki sighed and shook his head for a moment. It seemed to him that Ari was much to focused on weither if Kazuki would take his place when in reality Kazuki just wants to help him run the tribe. Also to help watch over the people that come and join and them.
Kazuki thought and felt no more should be said. It was up to Ari to deicde. If he would let his fear of losing power cloud him then so be it. The tribe would fall just as the moon falls to give room for the sun.
"I am going to hunt now...I'll leave you to think." Kazuki got up and began to head down the mountian. If Ari was to be selfish as he appeared then the tribe was doom.

Kazuki seemed to doubt that there was anyone more skilled than he was, yet he did agree to step down should such a one be found. Perhaps he could trust Kazuki to help him lead, if the kit wasn't as ambitious as Ari originally thought?
Ari looked up to the moon for guidance, hoping that just this one time, he would be blessed with, if not words, than feelings enough that he could make his judgment. Yes, he did want the tribe to be his own, but Kazuki didn't want to be the sole leader, he wanted to lead with Ari, as an equal. Could Ari bring that up, if it seemed that Kazuki was seeking out too much power? Yes, he probably could. And if his tribe went how he wanted it to, it would be large soon. He had had so much difficulty just dealing with the two kits at once, what would it be like to have to rule an entire tribe of perhaps hundreds of foxes?
Ari blinked. Was that the moon guiding him? Or just logic? He didn't know. But either way, he had made his decision.

Kazuki continued down the the mountian. HEading slowly his ears alert. For a kit was rather graceful to an extent. It was odd but comforting to know. He stoped when he heard a noise. He listened and felt and noticed it was something small. Possibly a mountian hare. He waited a bit and remained still as statue when the creature appeared he pounced. It was a mountian hare a small one. It would be good enough for him. He caught the hare and then continued on down the mountian hoping to find a nice place to eat.

Ari watched Kazuki catch the hare. Well, it did look like Kazuki was a decent hunter...That still didn't help the reservations Ari was still feeling. He was going to have to plan this, to make sure that Kazuki couldn't try to become the sole leader of the tribe.
And, if he and Kazuki were to be equals, he supposed he ought to try to put the same limits on himself, however much he didn't like the idea. But he really did need Kazuki in his--their tribe, after all.
Not liking the mountain, Ari went back down, into the clearing in front of the lake to think about how to do this.

"Alright, Kazuki, you get to lead the tribe, too, once it's officially been started."
That way Kazuki would have time to grow up, and experience life some more. There were some things you could only learn firsthand. Plus they barely had enough for a tribe yet. There was Rendo, and maybe the kit Rendo had been talking to...That left them three members short, if both Rendo and whoever he was talking to agreed to join.

Kazuki gave a very soft and shy smile. Then he steped itnot he water. He guessed it was ok to bathe with Ari around. She began to swim out and have fun as most kits do. Yet he was very shy about it. Very timid it was odd. Consider how boldly he seemed to present himself.
