we get cheers all the time.... our band gets way more attention than the football team but we also get more trophies than them as well and we win a lot more than them... the principle has noticed that each year more and more people come to the football games to see the bands more than the football game.... our show gets more cheers and attention than the whole game... but yea.. thats just WHS

Our band is really strict and we're not allowed to smile or look anywhere but straight ahead or anything while marching, so when we march down to the football field for games people always try to make us smile and loose our concentration and what not rolleyes
Also when we marched in Canada.. the people in the streets were yelling crap like "Smile your supposed to be happy!" and crap like that.. and since the parade was about 4 miles long, we couldnt play the ENTIRE time so some people started yelling "hey aren't you a band... your supposed to play music!!" and crap... ahhh so annoying rolleyes
But I do have to admit, lots of people were really nice in canada, saying "thankyou ohio" -we're from ohio o.o- and whatnot as we marched by 3nodding

When we practice on the football field (when it was still marching season) we'd put up a sign that said "honk if you love the ___ ___ band!". Eventually we had to take it down because the constant honking would distract us. We had the sign on a highway, though lol

After a show we had some people yelling at us and the Flute section leader, Amy, love her to death, yelled back saying, "Shut up!" Quite funny because she's not the type to yell. Unlike Renne, the other section leader. She's like in your face, biotch, don't mess with me, find your own damn spot.

during the season we have practice before school at 7:30 am on the middle school football feild (since our field is across town) and we get this jackass who lives on the edge of the field yelling at us through a megaphone "do you people have any idea what time it is?! shut the hell up!!"

For the most part, people just sort of ignore the band at my school. At marching practice awhile ago, though, there was some pretty rude driveby stuff...

During the season we went to two different schools. Delaware Valley, Pa which is out of the way. Anyways they made fun of our colors, we wore Mismatched colored gloves, Colored Berets, and different colored hair ties on our shoulders, they were disrespectful aswell And Valley View, Spit at us, mocked our drummers and our colors....I hate when people act like that, other then that, we got cheers and jeers from the.....That's my Story! whee

We don't get yelling because our practice feild is waaaay back in the woods below the level of the actual school. That's one freakin' steep hill to go up and down everyday, let me tell ya...The cross country team's track does loops around our field, so they have to put up with us. The same area for our practice feild is also shared by the varsity soccer team for their practices, and our feild becomes the outfeild for the softball team in spring. The softball coach picks at us, saying stuff like "You people are the ones ruining my feild!" The soccer players always have their stupid goal on our feild and we have to make them move it every single time we practice. The occansional loose soccer ball goes flying at us sometimes too, and that's a hazard. On top of all that, the tennis courts are right beside the feild. Tennis is supposed to be a quiet sport, but not at our school on Thursday nights it isn't! It's made some schools really mad, but they have to deal with it. Our girls kinda like it, because they're used to it although the other school isn't, so they get an advantage. The guys in band like it too, because the uniforms the girls were are really short and when they jump to hit the ball, you can see their bloomers. xp

our field is right behind the school, and the road to school goes around it... across the street are train tracks, AND there's an airport nearby... so it's usually pretty loud. Yeah, we definately get people shouting, too, and honking, especially when we have after-school practice. It's really annoying, too, whether good or bad. We've had people moon us, too. Very disturbing...

Yep! 3nodding Every practice, it's usually a high schooler who drives by and shouts at us...once our band director made the loser sign to one of the drivers...it was so dorky it was hilarious.

Some kids destroyed the tower my band director stands on during the summer before band camp. We don't really get made fun of so much as disrespected. Our practice field is a parking lot. Lots of times, during the fall, there are JV Football games during our practices, so people park on our field. Sometimes we have to cancel practice because people won't move, or because there are too many cars.
The band at my school is very disrespected sweatdrop

So many people did that to our band that our director call the cops and they set up road blocks for our practices.
And we've been mooned 6 times in the last 2 years
