Richtersveld, Squire of Pluto

Death seemed assuredly imminent.

When the corrupted senshi in front of her had disappeared just as easily as the aliens nearby, Richtersveld figured that the Negaverse was gathering those it had aligned with and were leaving the rest for dead. And despite it, she took in a deep breath, and let it out. No point in panicking. She would flee, but she knew her legs wouldn't take her out of range quickly enough. Perhaps someone who hear her--

It was suddenly much quieter, and Richtersveld opened her eyes, looking around.

The area was buzzing with some sort of noise -- people gathered around Caedus, people gathered around a machine -- the Celestial Theatre, when had they gotten here? -- people gathered around something down in a hallway called The Code. She gathered, loosely, that the Code might have been the one that was relevant to her, but she had no interest in pursuing it.

Instead, she did what she was always likely to do.

Richtersveld pulled out her first aid kit, standing in the middle of the main area and looking around for anyone who might have needed a boost. It seemed that injuries were far away here, or at least the thoughts of them, but she wasn't entirely certain that the ease of the environment was doing much to stitch anyone up--

Quote:
Richtersveld knows first aid and has a first aid kit! Someone who needs something looked at is free to flag her over -- it's not magic, but it can help!

The Code had no lungs by which to exhale, and yet still somehow it seemed as though its very presence was one exasperated sigh.

“Where do I even begin.”

Not a question. It had no eyes, and yet it seemed to have the ability to focus on someone so they knew it was addressing them.

To Vígríðr. "If I’m not what you expected, that’s your mistake. But you're new, so I suppose I can forgive you. Don't point, it's rude. Do you want to explain to them what you think I am, or would you rather I tell you? Don’t wait for royalty, there’s no one here but me.”

It’s focus turned to Agrippa. “I’d like to see you balance the universe, Page. Do you think it’s easy to be everywhere at once? If I could do everything myself, I wouldn't need you, would I?”

To Lourdes, “Do you have something helpful to offer? How’s your Wonder doing, have you made much progress there?”

To Saqqara, “I don’t think I’m looking to take advice from a ten-minute old Knight who’s asking me about her fashion choices. If you don’t like your outfit, maybe you should put on a coat.”

To Dunwich: “I don’t think you should be advertising that you’re sleeping with the enemy. Find someone to purify him. You’re a walking death sentence. Why would you tell him who you are? What are you people doing?”

And then, to Andronicus, “I don’t know who told you there were pieces of the Code on Archideus, but I’ve never heard of it. You’re mourning something that never existed. I don’t put pieces of myself just anywhere.”

It sounded a little done with everything, but it still swelled with energy, and did seem interested in everyone who had come to it.

“I was starting to think I might enjoy some company. Do any of you have any good questions? Or did you just come here to whine? Yes, I’m a Cornerstone Code piece. Once, I was a great energy, stretched throughout the universe. But, as darkness grew, so too did the threat of corruption. A powerful enough force could have saturated me, poisoned me. So I came to an arrangement with the Senshi strong enough to ally with, and broke myself into many little pieces. Each and every Knight has one hidden at their Wonder. We have a mutual arrangement, you protect a sacred location and a piece of myself, and I give you the power to do so. Your magic comes from me, so maybe treat me with a little more respect. You’ve said Archideus just exploded? Is that where all this energy has come from? What did you do, why did it explode?”

There was a distant part in Caedus’ mind that acknowledged that Oberon listed himself and a string of other names as friends of his, like they still cared to wear the title.

Most of him was still trying to understand what that meant. What any of this meant.

‘It happens’ didn’t seem like a good explanation, and he wished he could go back to pretending like he’d only hear the part where Oberon said they were friends.

But, he supposed, the friendly thing to do wouldn’t be to ignore someone who stuck their neck out for you. He couldn’t look at Oberon; he drew one knee up with more strength than he had and propped his elbow onto it as he sat there and curled into himself. He felt like a broken doll, strung too tightly and too loosely all at once. His fingers curled into his hair with more force than they needed, and without his cape, creating something of a wall to hide behind with the left side of his body was as much as he could manage.

He did not say that if he could have accessed his powers he wouldn’t have been down in the Rift, but his expression said the thought crossed his mind. He wanted to rest. He wanted to disappear, to be away from everyone, but it had been his choice to come here, and his choice to engage the Negaverse at all.

He made bad choices, so no matter how good ‘disappear’ sounded, he supposed that it was still a bad choice.

He nodded to Oberon because--yes, he did know why his starseed was like that. The answer just didn’t come easily.

When Scylla first spoke, the ‘You’ had been so fierce that he thought it sounded sharp; he thought he’d disappointed her. He thought she was mad at him. And, she had every right to be, of course.

Her words were pushed to the back of his mind, to the fog that swallowed everything he didn’t want to deal with.

Pendour said it was okay, but it didn’t seem like it was. She’d seen Oberon’s hands like he had, but at least she could do something about it. His free hand rested over his chest, like he thought that might keep his starseed where it needed to be. Like he was afraid of it slipping out of its own accord.

He nodded to her, but he didn’t know how he could rest.

He didn’t return Encke’s smile, he didn’t have it in him. His lips had turned downward.

He looked at Réalta and seemed reluctant to risk the contact with her, but he didn’t draw away. He’d opened his mouth as if he might have said something, but she was gone and he closed up again, directing his eyes to the ground for a few seconds as if there were words there to solve all of this.

In her absence, he told those closest, “It was not her fault. She has no reason to be sorry, they did not fail. It was my fault.” Again, “I am sorry.”

He could not look at Neryn and his fingers curled a little tighter in his hair. He turned his face a bit as if to hide it, and he closed his eyes firmly.

“You did nothing wrong,” he insisted, and he felt their shame because it was his own. ‘King’ had never stung so much. Words did not come easily, but he didn't want someone else to blame themselves. “You are not at fault. Please do not blame yourself. You have done your best, and you have a good heart. That is what is important. We will figure this out. Earth is full of very good people. It will be okay.”

“Earth has not replied to any correspondences,” the Console reported to Scylla.

When Beta Leporis spoke to the console it made a low processing noise, and then a shrill alarm, and then went silent.

“I’m sorry, we don’t have those records. You are welcome to review the Library.”

It seemed to recognize Réalta and Namielle as Mauvians but its programming didn’t seem so keen to be modified. “Please do not perform unauthorized maintenance or I will be forced to employ self defense mechanisms. If you have an authorization form, please scan now.”

And yet, a panel was loose and easily accessible; while there was no guarantee that this would improve the machine’s cognitive abilities, the rattling inside could at least be investigated. It wasn’t difficult to tell that the damage to the Celestial Theater was somewhat reflected in the condition of the Console. Though it worked, it functioned poorly; loose gravel and dust had jammed in many of the fans and the exposed wiring were surely responsible for some of the basic issues it seemed to be facing.

Beta Leporis

If Beta Leporis heard what the console said, she showed no signs. Except, perhaps, curling on on herself closer, trying to quell her sobs into her knees. She, of course, failed.

Page Agrippa

Agrippa considered sticking her tongue out at the Code, but decided against it. Instead she slipped out from behind Valhalla, deciding that the Code wasn't a direct threat, and reached out a tentative hand. She considered, for a moment, trying to touch whatever it was, but ultimately decided against it. What if it was caustic or dangerous? And to be perfectly frank, she didn't have permission to touch this thing.

"Good... questions..." she whispered to herself. What did the Code consider a "good question?"

"Why were we brought here," Agrippa finally piped up, addressing the code with more formality and respect this time. "One moment we were fighting a battle and the next... we were here. Who pulled us here, and why? Do you know? It's um... it's okay if you... don't... sir..."

Her voice tapered off at the end and she stepped closer to Valhalla once again.

Squire Lourdes

"Oh hey there," Lourdes grinned, keeping a hand on Asphodel's shoulder to keep him steady. "Good to see you again. Welcome... I guess... to the moon. This is the moon right? Yeah, the moon."

And then the Code was rude again.

"Okay listen, pal," she began. She was, however, cut off by a smaller page who was trying a different approach. Lourdes decided to try that same angle. Maybe the Code would respond better if she was a little... nicer. Even if she didn't feel like being nice right then.

"We didn't do anything," she sighed. "Except try to help. There was this... alien? Valencyan, I think he was called. Lyndis? Lorndun? L... Lyndin! His name was Lyndin. Some high-ranking a** hat or something. He came to build a weapon that would shoot itself into the negaverse, force purify everyone down there maybe and save his people also maybe. And then, in the most underwhelming plot twist of the god damned century, he betrayed us. He betrayed everyone. A bunch of General Sovereigns and the ******** Queen herself showed up and all hell broke loose. We lost..." her voice softened as the commotion from the console room reached her ears. A kid, by the sounds of it, sobbing over her sister. Youmafied. Lourdes swallowed shudder.

"We lost a lot of people." Her voice was softer now, regretful. "I don't know why he turned on us. I was too far away."

Asphodel Knight of Saturn

The moon? They were on the ******** moon?

Asphodel exhaled slowly in shock and exasperation. He'd been to Saturn recently, so it shouldn't have been a big deal. Maybe it was because, back when the Negaverse was still a new presence in Destiny City, the primary objective was to keep an eye out for signs of the Moon Princess. She certainly wasn't here now. There was just the magical helpdesk computer and the Code.

"Thanks for the magic," he offered the Code, curious but polite. Frankly, it was disturbing to confront the fact that, yet again, the power at his disposal was bestowed on him by some unknowable magical entity. Quite different from the seething hunger that was Metallia, but still. Unsettling.

The scene around Caedus was hard to miss, but Asphodel elected to keep a distance from it all. There were politics involved there he didn't know enough about to even form an opinion, and the poor alien looked miserable on top of that. Better not to crowd him.

Sailor Lich

Going from <******** I'm gonna die to oh this is cozy, I'll just sleep here a while to a room he'd never seen before had Lich extremely confused and rather agitated. And it was stupidly bright in there. Ow.

Which. Ow. His cheek and jaw hurt. A lot. He groaned, rubbing gingerly at the area were a dark bruise was forming. Someone placed their hand on his shoulder where he sat, and he jumped, turning to stare up at the girl from before (Eivissa). "Well, I'm alive, so that counts for something, right?" It was a statement, not a joke. He could hear someone crying. People were upset. There were losses he'd not seen or could comprehend.

To her questions about where they were, what happened.... he could only shrug. "I'm... really not sure. Your guess is as good as mine. I thought I heard someone say something about a Queen, though? And a theatre?"

His name was called, and Lixian's head turned on a swivel. "....Vaylin..." He said with a relieved sigh. Well.. That was at least one familiar face among the crowd. The Senshi's (Scylla) warm smile seemed to infect him, and Lixian felt as though he could breathe for the first time in what felt like ages. He let out another quiet breathe he hadn't realized he had been holding in. Yet, he remained where he was on the floor, sitting next to Caedus.

When Caedus apologized, Lixian grimaced. "...We know..." He said softly. He understood at least. That Caedus was sorry. "You couldn't have known.." Caedus wouldn't have expected Lyndin of all people to turn things on its head like that. Lixian wanted to show that he believed in the other. A hand on the shoulder, something... Yet he did not move.

"You... You did what you could too." The Cadet offered softly. We're still here." Even if their numbers weren't as great. They could still do something. Lixian did not blame Caedus. He might have blamed himself, blamed someone else. He laid none of it on Caedus. "...We will figure something out." Lixian agreed.

Sailor Minkowski

Minkowski definitely wanted to believe in Anser's words, and she did manage to crack a small smile at her new friend's attempt at showing off. At the same time, the problem was ultimately that she had no place on the battlefield. She was good at patching up senshi and knights that she met while patrolling the streets at night, since those were generally only mild cuts and scrapes. Friendly sparring sessions, she could also do.

But a large-scale battle, where people were getting more serious injuries than just a couple cuts and bruises? Minkowski couldn't help but still feel like she only served to drag everyone else down. It was one of those things that she should have really tried talking to someone about, on a professional level anyway, but was difficult to do in a way that didn't give away her powered identity. Once more, she didn't voice these thoughts out loud, however, especially since she could tell that Anser was trying to cheer her up, and so instead, she tried to focus on what she could do for the time being.

"Please allow me to heal you some more," Minkowski finally said, calling on the ethereal butterflies again, wishing to at least do that much for Anser again. She should have focused on herself as well, sure, but Minkowski was also a person who desperately wanted to please other people, and leave a good impression. The magic of this place dulled the pain of her injuries for now, anyway, so she could turn her focus to others in need.

Super Sailor Nephthys

Brought into Scylla's side, in a hug, the senshi of vampires nodded her head. "I'm glad you're well..." She was glad so many had made it out of the battle, though she knew many had not. There had been so much going on and she'd been very overwhelmed, something she was sure Scylla would understand.

"A lot happened..." She whispered before looking at Caedus. "You should rest...so should many of us." Here if need be. They could go home after, when they'd had some time to recover and come to terms with what had happened. "You're family is safe Scylla?" She whispered, leaning in close for only the other to hear. She didn't want to worry Caedus or others. "You should have told me about this appointment you set Scylla...or at least about this place." She wasn't upset, not really, but she did wish she'd known.

"Mmm, it's nice to meet another Thorn." Reaching out a hand towards Bellatrix. "Nephthys, senshi of vampires." Which really, taking into account her uniform, was a fitting sphere. The only thign which would make her look more suited to her sphere was if she ever were to join chaos and her uniform gained more black. That however would never be happening, she was content with where she was in this war.

She really didn't like the idea of returning home tonight, not because she'd be alone, because she wanted to be close to someone else who'd just been through this battle. But she couldn't leave her cats alone either, someone needed to take care of them. It wasn't like her parents wouldn't...but the poor things would miss her. Tomorrow though she thought spending time with someone else, Jada, would be a good idea since she couldn't tonight by inviting herself to sleep over the others home...muich as she might want to.

Eternal Sailor Lepus

Oh.

Oh no.

Lepus wasn't good at comforting people in the best of times, and she certainly wasn't good at comforting people in the worst of times. Heck, she was hardly capable of keeping a pair of nine year-old chibi senshi twins alive! It was a miracle those two were in one piece while under her care, even though Lepus would insist she was perfectly capable otherwise. Beta was distraught over the loss of her sister, and Lepus wasn't really sure what to say, because to be quite honest, up until today, she hadn't exactly known that senshi could become youma!

She also had no clue how you were supposed to reverse the process, either!!

Beta was a couple years older than Lepus, a college student while Lepus was in her last year of high school, but she felt like she had to at least try to be the adult in this situation, even if she normally hated considering herself an adult. After all, Alpha and Beta, while not exactly... her senshi, were still part of the Lepus constellation, so she felt a weird sense of responsibility for them. Sort of.

(She didn't really know if this had any relevance to their past lives or not- all she'd ever really gotten memories of were Pascaline being a fantasy pope and prankster extraordinaire.)

"Beta, Beta, listen- we are absolutely going to get Alpha back," Lepus said, though quite frankly, she had as much of a clue as to how that would be accomplished as the computer seemed to have, "I will personally fist fight and punch each and every Nega baddie if it comes down to it."

She was, quite possibly, making things worse, but then again, that was par the course for Lepus.

"So like... I'm not going to tell you some stupid stuff like 'pull yourself together', because that's a really dumb thing to say, but I also don't think Alpha would want to see you so upset." Wait no, that was definitely going to make things worse. How should she reword this? Umm...

"I mean, like, I don't know what was happening between the two of you that caused such a huge rift, and maaaaaaybe I guess it's wrong of me to be so nosy about it? But I mean, if there's anything I've learned from my time babysitting Aomori and Hokkaido, it's that even if they have their differences, they still care about each other? So I mean. Um."

She was kind of starting to veer off track a little, and Lepus made a lot of wavy motion gestures with her hands that suggested she was trying to figure out the right words to say again.

"We're going to get Alpha back."

Prince Castor of Hail -
Loc/Action: Interacting with the Console

Well, he couldn't say he was surprised. But- He didn't expect it to function as if other facilities were in operation, or to be so responsive. The system was a system after all- a glorified computer. And he'd had to deal with too many computers that were all in the end, badly created AIs that company big-wigs thought were 'great' but in actuality made for a shitty UI. The bane of working in the echelons of corporations.
"The affliction is not a contingent. It is a senshi starseed currently malformed in some way and unable to be woken by Mauvian influence. It shows no traces of chaos or corruption or an inclination towards the influence of order. It remains volatile if interacted with though currently it is dormant within it's vessel. The senshi is Sailor Velenia, and they have recently suffered an attempted starseed extraction and are recovering physically." If that prompted a positive... who knew.

Again, he doubted this console would have anything but the strange symbols he couldn't read. "A codex for translation will also need to be provided so we may fill out the required paperwork. An earthen script for textual forms and data- either Latin, Greek, Arabic or Chinese would be preferred. The most modern Earthen language is also acceptable to the last update."

Then the girl (Beta Leporis) approached and his heart sank. This was what he feared- what he hated. The cost of the war and those it afflicted. More- how children were being forced to fight in something they had no choice but to accept.
Senshi who had no choice but to answer the call.

"Oh." His voice was softer, and he took a deep breath as he moved to her.
"I....You're sister was made into a youma- that does not automatically make her a monster." He did not touch her and he knelt, but his wing curled around her, black though it was. "Monsters are those who embrace hurting others, who would cast away themselves for the sake of power. Youma are people corrupted, with starseeds are deeply wounded, afflicted. I-" He felt terrible. She was a child- and had just lost her sister. Of all things. "I cannot promise much, but if we can find her, there is a chance we may be able to purify her and help her. But most likely right now she is within the rift, and all we can do is recover at this time, and heal." He leaned back sighing.
"For now, know that she is alive, and there is a way we can save her. It is possible." He couldn't offer more than that. Purification was a thing one must desire, and his the girl's sister refused... it would be then, the time to mourn. "Take your time, and come see me when things have died down. I will help you."

Looking to the other girl (Lepus), he gave sad smile.
"You have a friend beside you- and that is a victory. Know that you are not alone." He nodded to the other senshi, hoping she'd understand that he could not do much more than offer a few words to maybe, comfort the girl.

Looking to others around the console.

"It said a library- and while I'd like to think that would be of help, I have my doubts we'd have an effective time learning anything- not without a rosetta stone or, a very talented code breaker among us. If that thing is not able to provide us with a codex or a means of translation, that may be our next step."

Casting a glance to Caedeus, Castor yelled at him.
"And don't think I've forgotten you're there." He shouted at the man, abet rather lazily. "Once you're recovered well enough we'll talk in private, and see what to do about that bomb in your chest." He waved a had at him and those around him. "Also it goes without saying you owe everyone some answers Sailor Valenia. For now however, rest, and try not to let them all coddle and overwhelm you."

"Maybe this time though you'll start to understand just exactly what is at stake." Castor muttered to himself.

[Page Basiluzzo of Uranus]

Basiluzzo originally settled a small distance away from Encke and the crowd around Caedus, conveniently keeping his eyes on just about everything else. With the way Encke had spotted him, with the way Encke had looked at him, he could sense there was a fight on the horizon.

Warily, he looked up, for just a moment.

Oh.

Finger-heart.

Basiluzzo's wary expression brightened into something a bit more hopeful, and he returned the gesture when he was certain Encke was glancing in his direction, thumb crossed behind pointer finger, and decided to come a bit closer to the group.

Who was the suspiciously Sadie-shaped Neptune knight occasionally stealing glances at him? ...Wait. Neptune. Was that-- He lifted his hand and waved when he caught her attention slide back to him, offering a bright smile that she might have recognized from meeting Richard in person.

He wasn't about to call out what he thought her civilian name might be there, but--

He glanced to the person they had all gathered around, able to see the shame and fear in the lines of Caedus' body and feeling his heart go out to him. He didn't feel like he necessarily had anything to offer that the others hadn't already offered, but he attempted a supportive, "we'll be here for you. And your cadets."

Basiluzzo wondered if he could get his father to cook up any of the things Caedus had enjoyed previously...

Transcendent Super Anser

Anser was certainly trying her hardest at cheering Minkowski up, and the small smile that Minkowski cracked was encouragement, enough to make her bounce a bit in her spot. She opened her mouth to maybe attempt another encouragement, but Minkowski called the butterflies around her once more, and Anser let out a sound of delight.

"Oh, sure!" The bone that had somehow been cracked over her face did wonders for getting her back on her feet and getting the two of them out of danger, but her body still ached, there was no denying that. The two of them had taken a serious beating, enough to knock Minkowski out entirely and enough to leave Anser stuck on the ground, observing the situation around them but finding herself unable to actually do anything about it. "I'd love to."

She paused, tilting her head.

"But you need help too, right? You were knocked out for a bit there... Are you okay?"

Super Sailor Acrucis

Acrucis sat in a vacant daze, staring at what may appear to be some arbitrary spot on the floor. But in her mind it was where she last saw Sidouer laying on the grass-covered ground only a few feet away.

The battle was over. In the moments just before the final explosion was to occur, Acrucis watched in helpless horror as her one remaining friend was carried away by another corrupt (Niter). She had tried to call out, tried to beg them not to take her. But her voice was gone and all she could do was lay there helplessly at the feet of a Lieutenant who thought he was offering her mercy by keeping her from witnessing what was presumed to be the Senshi of Static’s death.

The pearlescent bead was a heavy weight in her palm. You need to hold onto it. That’s your role in all of this, not mine. Hot, unshed tears burned her dry eyes at the memory of the pale-haired senshi pushing the small precious item back into her procession. In the end, like her magic, it was a useless thing to have.

Overcome by grief she felt useless and defeated. Her hold on the magical item weakened until finally she let go of it. With a soft tapping sound it fell from her trembling hands and rolled somewhere between two knights. She did not care to retrieve it and in some capacity hoped that it fell into the hands of someone more worthy of possessing it.

Her prayers were never enough for what was inevitably needed, injuries often too severe for her magic to have much of an effect. Even shortly after the ambush took place, she tried twice to heal someone and both times failed. The first had not functioned as it had in the past but the second- she had lost consciousness before it could be used.

Someone had asked about medical aid and The Console’s response was rather jarring No medical professions currently available. Even it did not recognize her as someone worth consulting.

Deep in despair, Acrucis closed her eyes, and indiscriminately focused on two signatures that were somewhat close to her. “Prayer of Healing,” her voice no higher than a whisper when the palms of her hands were held together. Her bruised neck ached from the thin chain that had been wrapped around yet she refused to use a prayer on herself, believing wholeheartedly that she was undeserving of such relief.

Selfish as it was to offer aid without first asking permission, or surveying the area to see who was in most need of help, Acrucis needed to know her place in all this, the role she was meant for as Sidouer had previously mentioned.

Will get others in other posts. Don't mind this one, it's boring wc fluff.

Super Sailor Scout Attack: Prayer of Healing
Sailor Acrucis brings her hands together in a prayer motion and whispers her attack after which she holds her hands out in front of her in the direction of an injured individual within 15 feet of where she is standing. Both Acrucis's hands and the individual are bathed in a soft yellow light as a heal over time is cast. It can be cast on up to two people at a time that are either in front of her or to her sides. This attack can heals moderate cuts, scrapes, bruises over the next 10 seconds (minor injuries heal in 5 seconds). It can reduce the severity of a major injury but will not completely heal it** and can be cast 3 times.

In the event that there is only one target to heal her Prayer of Healing does a double heal which increases the time from 10 seconds to 20.
This heal does not heal severe wounds it can only reduce the recovery time it takes for severe wounds to heal.*see below*
- More useful in battle situations outside of ORP's
- It is a heal over time that allows a target to continue fighting while still receiving the heal benefits up to moderate wounds.
- The moderate wound still heals at the 10 second mark and anything after that provides relief from the pain of anything deemed severe. (ie if a wound is received at the 2 second mark it will heal at the 12 second etc.)

Sailor Alcor

The murmured sound of voices cut through the thick haze that wrapped around her mind like cat claws raking through a strip of velcro. Mentally she tried to shunt the voices out, wall them off so she could find peace and just quietly slip away.

“Please wake up…” a familiar sound, a sorrowful plea that came out as a soft whisper meant for her ears alone.

A warm body pressed to her side, lithe arms helped prop her up in an almost sitting position holding her close and Alcor felt as the frost that clung to her coat, her skin, froze the tears to her face and kept her eyes closed, she felt it begin to melt, albeit slowly at first. The warmth beside her was familiar as was the warm scent of oranges and amber that her sister loved to wear.

In her heart she knew who held her and yet as the frozen tears thawed, Alcor couldn’t bring herself to open her eyes, to see the fear or panicked look on her twin's face. Instead, her arm… as stiff as it was, she moved so that her hand rested atop Eleonora’s, the black claw-tipped fingers reverting back into normal nails.

The Senshi of Cold offered no words of comfort or understanding. Neither of them were at fault for what happened, but on the other side of that same coin, they were both to blame. From the start, despite whatever argument they were in the middle of, the two of them should have been together. It shouldn’t have been some Page looking for someone he’d never met to unite them.

It seemed that he’d been successful in finding Eleonora and Alcor made a mental note to thank him later for it.

But for now, all she could allow her mind to consider was the thought of going home. To make the talking stop so she could just rest and allow herself to recover from the trauma of nearly being turned into a youma. Not a corrupt, Alcor knew without opening her eyes to know that her broken magic had started to change her in ways she dared not even imagine.

The General, he knew. She saw the pitied expression as she begged him for help. Even he was aware that she couldn’t be saved, not without the divine intervention of Cosmos herself rescuing them as she had done when they were stuck in the Dark Kingdom when Caedus escaped the Rift.

A part of her had wished he would have just ripped out her starseed even if it meant that she may never be reborn. It would have been the lesser of two evils since it ran no risk of her turning on her sister. Even only partially changed, she could feel the urge to resist Eleonora especially when she dared to try and use her magic to stop the transformation.

But the part of her that was still human knew that she was doing what the General would not and allowed her to try and melt away the ice.

[Page Imhotep of Mercury]

"Yes," replied Imhotep, simply, as he glanced up at his husband, "because when we awoke and filled him in about this, we promised we would not keep any details from him. So yes, he gets to know we were on the Moon. And yes," his lips quirked up, faintly, painting his face with something devious, "he gets to be envious about it."

Because, truly, Promethei's declarations aloud matched up with Imhotep's mental declarations. What the ********, indeed. How were they on the moon, indeed. It was at least less strange than Mercury, indeed. As Tobias had said, there were thermal scans proving Mercury was not a cold world. And yet.

If this was going to be so incredibly strange of an adventure, at least he could make someone else envious about it.

He listened in to the things happening around them in an attempt to give them context for what they had just come from and how they had been saved. One of the senshi mentioned something of a Celestial Theatre and a machine which was bad at keeping appointments. Many of the knights like them had moved down a hallway, talking to what looked to be an animate piece of paper. Some remained gathered around one of the aliens at the center of the drama. That was the one who had his starseed stolen, he thought?

He gazed up to Promethei and minutely gestured with his head in the direction of the piece of paper. It had said something that implied it was the source of all their magic. Perhaps its snarking may be useful.

He started toward The Code, expecting Promethei to follow.
