Character: Amarith Choice: B RP Response: Amarith slowly spread her wings and gave a couple experimental flaps. No good. Nothing felt broken, but she had definitely bruised her wings and snapped off some feathers. There was no way she could fly right then, and swimming with her myriad injuries seemed like a joke. Not to mention, she could see the rapids from where she stood and knew the water had to be faster flowing than it looked. She wasn't a strong swimmer. She had no choice and began limping along the shore to find somewhere to hide.

Character: Amity Choice: A RP Response:
Amity rolled into the water at the bottom of the hill, sputtering and sitting up. She looked around, blinking a little, and got up quickly, shaking herself off and looking back up the hill. It looked like the centaurs had gone another way to get down the steep hill, but she doubted it would take them long to find them. She looked at the river, peering towards the rapids and then to the roots that could serve as cover. But cover would only work for so long -- distance was still the path she relied on. Amity dove into the river, swimming downstream. The current would help her put more distance, and hopefully she could slip by the centaurs and find another path out of the forest.

Character: Raspbina Luckwyn Choice: A RP Response: She hit the bottom of the hill faster than she had expected and splashed into some water. She could swim faster than run into this water, so she dove straight in and started swimming downstream. Maybe the water would mask her scent.

Character: Isley Choice: A RP Response: Isley looked at the water and didnt know what to do. Then she had a idea that if she goes down stream she would have speed to get ahead. She jumped in and started swimming down stream.

Character: Devon Choice: B RP Response: After all the running, they were out of breath. Their chest hurt. Swimming seemed like a bad idea in this case. Hopefully they could hide well enough- their hunters were trained in ways they were not. "Gods, I have not been a very devout person, but if you help me keep me hidden, I promise to pay a bit more attention." They whispered as they ducked down into the roots.

Character: Tabi Choice: C RP Response: Tabi caught her breath, nursed her wounds, but only briefly - the hunt was still on, and stopping to heal too much would be deadly. Now that she had a guide, she could be a little less clueless - but there were still obstacles to cross, still her physiology to consider. There was a wide river, shallow... but at a more treacherous area, it was easy to cross. Tabi considered her swimming skills - perhaps this would do. She followed the river bank down. Then, taking a deep breath, she took a leap of faith.

Character: Troy Choice: A RP Response:
The roll down the hill was dizzying and momentarily confusing, separating Troy from Tabi enough to where when he first came up, he wasn't sure where she had gone. The river lay ahead and immediately he felt within his element. It didn't take him a second thought before he ran straight to it and dove in, keeping below the surface. Channeling his connection to the water, swift and graceful movements of his tail and body carried him down the water as he tried to mimic the motion of the river. He hoped that Tabi found the best way for her to move forward, setting himself to find her when he found a safe place to get out.

Character: Cian Choice: A RP Response: Oh that. That worked? He was rather mystified it'd worked. Sure, it'd given them the advantage in the form of speed--and just looking ridiculous--but... huh. Cian shook his head, trying to clear the dizziness from it. He took a small moment to check that the bug was safe in his pocket before he continued onward. Towards a river. Scowling at the water, he removed the bug and urged it onto his shoulder--the creature was far smarter than he, even, and quickly relocated itself onto the top of his head upon realizing what the man was doing.
He just needed to swim sideways or even diagonal to get to the bank once he started downstream. Assuming the current wasn't worse than he thought, judging by the white froth further down. Bracing himself, he dove in and began to swim with the current.

For the sure-footed Centaurs, running down the hill was an easy task. However, the hunting party couldn't help but watch in fascination as a number of the animals rolled away in front of them, gaining speed as they travelled.
"These creatures are... strange," Aritao commented, her team nodding in agreement. After a few moments they picked up speed again, trying to catch up to the dizzied but distant prey. They knew there was a river coming up, which certainly wasn't their favourite terrain. It seemed there was no obvious way to pursue through the water, but eventually they...

Character Name: Amity Choice: B RP Response:
Amity could feel the drag of exhaustion as she pulled herself from the river, peering ahead and taking stock of the options she had in avoiding her pursuers. The river had helped to put a great distance between herself and the hunting party, but they would make up the time sooner or later. She didn't know how long she could keep running, though. Amity spotted a fallen trunk, and grimaced a little, glancing back again. The idea of stopping made her anxious, but if she kept going, she'd only be slower and easier to catch. Amity climbed behind the fallen trunk, hunkering up against it and pressing her head against the bark.
She'd just rest for a few minutes and then she'd move again. They couldn't keep hunting them forever.

] Character: Raliegh Choice: C RP Response: Raliegh knew one thing for sure he was not stopping. If they were faster than him and caught him so be it. However if he hid and they passed him he'd have to try to sneak past them which didnt seem likely.

Character: Cian Choice: A RP Response: It was actually a good thing that he didn't have all his armor on, was the silver lining of the moment as Cian hauled his sopping wet self out of the river. He shook himself heavily, droplets flying about in all directions from pale skin and dark fur alike. The little bug had remained absolutely dry, seated atop his head, and seemed to be entirely content to remain there. His pants were too drenched and heavy to really be useful for the pockets right now.
The centaurs were still at it, though. He picked up his steady pace again, mindful of his own stamina. The forest began to even out, sunlight filtering through the trees. It would be beautiful here, without the constant threat of being hunted. His pride especially was bruised on this.
Noting the dense underbrush, he took a risk and ducked low, crawling and dragging himself along the ground. He was going to be a mess, but entirely worth it for survival.
