Character: Lycos Current Square: 19 Response:
Lycos found themself sooner rather than later just...standing there, swaying on the spot. Their thin, frail frame was somehow able to hold the large bird on their shoulders, but whether that was out of their own will of their consumption was unknown at the time. But that was neither here nor there, as they seemed to snap out of their daze fairly quickly, though their movements were sluggish compared to how they'd been darting around earlier. It must be all the pollen, they thought, that was making their allergies act up. But they weren't the only ones, they knew for a fact. The way the Grimm was eyeing up people, screaming for almost no reason-- No, wait. There was plenty of reason, to be fair. While the scenery was beautiful, here they were tripping over fairy rings and becoming attached to giant birds.
"Huh? What?" Lycos responded to the Litch- apparently a doctor- as they just hadn't really heard correctly. Must be the ear fluff. "Oh. No, we...we're okay. I think?" Honestly, Lycos wasn't sure about the rest of the group at this point. "Um...I mean, she-" they pointed to Sierra, "Was being really loud. Maybe she got hurt?" But she didn't look hurt.
And honestly, right now, Lycos just wanted to take a good long nap. Going back to the carriage sounded great but...they also wanted to find the guy they were looking for. It was a matter of doing what they were supposed to be doing, even if they were feeling like just laying down right then and there.

Character: Clare Current Square: 13 - clare is hunkering down on the middle square Response: Every time she climbed a small foothill, Clare looked around desperately for the others, hoping to find the source of the call. She thought she saw figures in the distance, but it was so easy to lose yourself in the beautiful view. Hands clutched to her chest, she spun slowly on her slight vantage point, soaking in the surroundings. It was truly breathtaking. With a sigh, she gathered her dress together and firmly sat herself on the soft, flower-covered ground. She could see the carriages on one horizon and the forest on the other - she must be near the middle of the meadows. "Hopefully people can find me... oh Milky, what have I done?" She asked her tail forlornly. She hadn't found a single hint to where Peter could have gone and her expedition team was in shambles. This was a fool's errand, after all. At least it was beautiful here, and soft... perhaps she ought to just stay a while.
Clare is always available if you have information or questions !

Character: Latros Current Square: 19 Response:
How they made it to the next area with everyone was anyone’s guess, but to them it was a journey of a lifetime. Literally, it took so long, at least from their perspective. How could you keep track of the passage of time when everything looked so similar?
They rejoined their twin at some point. Sometime later there was a tightness around their shoulder, they glanced over for a moment with wide eyes to find a giant bird perched there. Luckily Bitey had moved to their other shoulder. They weren't quite sure what to make of this new creature, or what to name it. "Flappy," was all they managed to say.
They paused for a moment, felt the slow creep of time pass by for a bit. There was something else they wanted to say, but it had escaped them. Like that fish in the summer they had tried to catch. There was a litch there, sorta like them but with less things mixed in. They had a flitterat as well! They must be all over this field, and who could blame them, there was so much grass and so many flowers to frolic in...
The litch was saying something though, that they were a doctor. Their eyes seemed to focus on one thing finally, ears flicking slightly in the breeze. Lycos seemed to take the lead, and they just nodded a bit at first. "Pretty...sure there was a scream, but...we're not hurt. These guys are pretty friendly it seems." Latros motioned to the familiar on each shoulder. Aside from Bitey biting them, they had been pretty chill and went along for the ride.

Character: Devon Current Square: 19 Response: Devon frowned. While they couldn’t judge them for prioritizing their mission, the fact that they did so over others well being was… disappointing at best. She was certainly not someone that Devon was going to be putting their faith in anytime soon. Alright, so maybe they judged them a little bit. “Do what you think is most important. I suppose we all have our jobs to do. I shall deal with this one way or another.” Hopefully other people would be more helpful than she had been.
They listened as Sierra spoke, brows drawing together in concern. Yellow flowers having effects on people? Someone under the effects were still wandering around the field? Could this have been something that lead to the other exploratory party going missing? They made a note to tell all of this to Clare when the opportunity arrived, for now, making sure that everyone was alright was their first priority. “I think it would be best to head back to the carriages and to see if we cannot locate Professor Honeymint along the way. If you are also affected by these flowers, you ought to lie down as well. It will be easier to keep on eye on symptoms in a slightly more controlled environment.”
They listened as one of the twins spoke up. They both still seemed highly confused and dazed. Was that the result of the mushrooms or the flowers? Or a combination of both? Well, it would be hard to tell with the given circumstances. "My name is Doctor Devon Holloway. I'm going to be keeping an eye on all three of you, I suspect the plant life around here has the side effect of confusing people. It'll be best if we get out of here. I'll lead the way, please stay close to me." They nodded at the rest of them. "May I ask for your names?"

Character: Coralynne Current Square: 22 to 16 Response: Coralynne heaved for breath as she climbed high and high. Man, you need to work out, her muse laughed at her. Oh hush up, she snapped back. The cute little kidden was having no problem climbing and was no leading the way up trotting happily. The bird was still on her shoulder and the added weight was a unwelcomed aching feeling now.
Up this high there was very little for flowers. A fresh cool breeze danced through Coralynne’s hair and filled her lungs anew. Breathing deep and few more time Coralynne took advantage of the height to look around. No signs of the Doctor and his crew was here. As a matter of fact, no one was anywhere around here. Where did everyone go? She wondered not for the first time today. Was she now lost or were they lost?
Deciding that maybe it was time to head back to the carriage, Coralynne started down the mountain. "We need to go find the search party before we get in more trouble then we can handle", she said to her new companions. As she made her way down hill, she could see a yellow fog just above the valley. Strange she hadn’t noticed it before. Maybe this is all the pollen the search party has stirred up? That filling gave Coralynne a little hope because that met someone was still around. Or maybe its not the search party maybe it something else that help whole crews get lost? Her muse set with a shiver.

Character: Kerrick Current Square: 14 to 19 Response:
Kerrick reached for Misfit the little bugger took off towards the next area. Running after him Kerrick again found himself deep in flowers.
Sighing he began to wonder why he agrees to this location. Maybe one of the other areas would be more challenging them dealing with all these flowers.
Leaning down he began to move the large flowers to the side trying to find Misfit so he can find a spot to sit before moving on. He was wondering where his red headed friend got to. He has not seen her in awhile and it bothered him that he was worries about her. He knew better. All about self peservation no one else mattered other than for gain.
Thinking he failed to notice Misfit scurry by his feet and fo wandering among the flowers on the other side of the area they were in.
Hover flitted away from his arm and began to hover to collect food for himself although he looked full already.
Kerrick was staring off into the flowers ot really seeing them his mind going over different scenarios as to why he was truly here, where his new feiens is and what happened to the missing expedition.
The breeze was cool but carried a lovely scent of the flowers it was relaxing so relaxing. Kerrick decided to lean back and get comfortable. Breathing deeply his eyes fluttered closed and he drifted off into a peaceful slumber.
He awoke confused as a sensation of whiskers brushing his cheek was felt. Turning hisnheas he saw Misfit staring at him and Hover flitting back and forth in the air.
Sighing he sat up, rubbed his head and got to his feet. Not knowing how much time had passed he began to move.

Character Name: Cyan Move to: 18 to 23 Response:
Cyan felt a small twinge of guilt as she walked away from the Doctor and their new patients. Cyan hoped the doctor didn’t judge them too harshly, but at least the twins weren’t missing or dead. The doctor would take care of them, so Cyan had no reason to worry. Cyan couldn’t waste their time worrying about how people perceived them. She had to move forward.
So, it seemed like Cyan was collecting familiars now. This bird was an odd one – one that Cyan had never seen before – but the flitterat she was quite accustomed to. It made her a little nervous the way the bird seemed to stare at Honey like they were going to be its next meal. If the bird ate Honey Cyan likely wouldn’t keep the familiar around. So, for now, the bird would simply be called Bird or That Bird. Just until she could figure out if she could trust them or not.
The hybrid wandered in to the tiny cluster of trees in the middle of the meadow, peering around. There was a fairy ring of mushrooms and what looked like an indent where something heavy might have once been placed. Cyan was slowly starting to piece everything together. Something called these meadows home. It wasn’t just the expedition that came before them that had travelled these lands before. Cyan wasn’t all that surprised. In truth, there was rarely land that was uninhabited. It seemed to her that perhaps Dr. Horn had trespassed and gotten himself in to some trouble. But how much trouble was the question?
Time to keep moving.

Prompt for Square 16 Wandering through the flowers, you feel something n** at your ankles. Looking down, you see a slimy crocobee buzzing at you warily. It seems it's territorial, but giving it a flower or two will probably earn you a new friend!
Prompt for Square 19 Something blots out the sun for a moment. Looking for the source of the sudden eclipse, you see a shadow dive towards you. A 'woosh' goes past you and suddenly you see a large, brightly coloured bird land on the small tree in front of you. It sits for a moment with its large wings outstretched, soaking in the light. You've never seen a creature quite like it, but it seems intrigued enough to follow you.
Prompt for Square 23 Over a small foothill, there is a shallow valley with a scenic stream flowing through it. As you get closer to the water, you notice some strange looking grass growing between some rocks. But wait, that isn't grass - it's long, coarse strands of green hair. The hair almost seems similar to a Kirin tail... didn't you pass their valley a few days ago? How did it get here?

MaarikaCurrent Square: 24 to 23 Response: Maarika seemed to have come to the edge of the Wildflower field. She was not sure if she should look beyond this area, and she was about to consider crossing the border, when she turned and found a rather lovely crown, woven of twigs and leaves, set upon the flowers. She knelt, and examined it, taking a bunch of photos, in case it was some sort of clue, before carefully wrapping it up and packing it away. It would make a nice decorative piece, and she could use it as a direct visual inspiration for some platinum and gem tiaras when she got back home.
She then straightened up and turned east, deciding not to push past the borders of where she was supposed to be exploring, her eyes sweeping the horizon. The area really was very beautiful. It was a pity, really, that it seemed to be full of dangerous plants of various natures... She would happily spend days here, searching for good inspiration, otherwise.
But then again, spending time here had seemed to lead to the disappearance of the original team who had been investigating this area, and that was why they were here in the first place. Clear sign, really, that this place was less then safe for anyone to spend too long in. She pondered heading back to her luggage, and sitting down to sketch out some of the ideas in her head... She felt like she had not been able to find much of value to the search, except that freaky flower and MAYBE this plant-crown.(WC: 262)

Character: Raspbina Luckwyn Current Square: 9 to 14 Response: Persuing through the flowers some more seemed to cause an exodus of insects. One of them seemed to like her though and the fluffbug perched on top of her head. Insects were not her favorite but this one seemed...friendly. So it could stay. She supposed. "Just don't bite me, okay?" she said up to it.
Razz felt like she was falling behind, though that was silly. She could still see that rude Grimm up ahead, not that it mattered. Ugh. What was wrong with her? Whatever. She looked a little harder for clues, accompanied by her two new flying companions. She was still going to let Misty name the flitterat when she got home but maybe she should name the fluffbug herself. "Hmm," she hummed thoughtfully. "What to name you," she murmured, mostly to herself, as she searched the area.
He - okay, she wasn't sure of the fluffbug's gender, but it just felt like a male. If she was wrong, well it was a bug. He took flight from her hair and landed on a flower. He really seemed to like it. "Looks like a lily," she mused, then laughed. "How about I name you Lily?" she asked the fluffbug. He seemed to buzz happily at that and flew back to her hair... bringing pollen with him. She sneezed. "Thanks, Lily. So much." she said and rubbed her nose.
Awesome. Now she was talking to bugs. If she couldn't get a date before, she sure as hell wouldn't if she got caught talking to bugs.

Character: Coralynne Current Square: 16 to 11 Response: Finally, back in the flowers something brushes up against her ankles. Looking down at her ankles, Coralynne sees a brightly colored crocobee buzzing around her. "Oh well hello. Sorry little one did step where you were laying?" Coralynne hadn't been paying attention to where she was going. In an effort to make up for her carelessness, Coralynne kneels down and offers a few flowers as an apology. Buzzing around the flowers, the crocobee seems to calm down excepting the offering give to him.
Not to sure which way to go, Coralynne decides to take a rest. “Ok guys let’s take a break for a sec so I can gather my thoughts.” Coralynne voices to her new companions. Pulling out some snack, Coralynne lessons to the sounds the meadow has to offer. A little breeze blow through stirring the pollen from the flowers around in little twisters. Breathing deeply in the sent Coralynne smiled at the peaceful environment around her. She was still pretty much alone but she was grateful for the companions that had followed her.
Finishing her food, Coralynne stood up and brushed the peddles and dirt from her skirt and hands. “ok guys which way should we go now.” She said as she looked around her. The meadow was truly starting to look all the same; one big yellow sheet of flowers in every direction. “Lets go….this way and see what we can see.” She marched off in the direction she had pointed to her companions right behind her.

Character: Kerrick Current Square: 19 to 20 Response:
Still sluggish from his unintended nap, Kerrick walked slowly with his new friends tagging along. Misfit sat on his shoulder while Hover nestled in the palm of his left hand. It was a weird sensation but he liked it.
The sun was bright, really bright. It seemed to become brighter with each step he took then again it may due to the fact his eyes were still adjusting to going from full sleep to full wakefulness. Shrugging he put his eyes on the ground and kept on walking.
Suddenly the flowers, grass and such around him became shaded as if the sun was blocked by something massive. He looked up with his free hand over his eyes and all he can see was a shadow of some sort coming right at him in a perfect free fall dive. The air around him became frenzied due to the size of whatever this was moving so quickly he dropped to his knees and waited. He looks up and sees a giant magnificent bird perched on a small tree about 20 steps in front of him in the corner of his little area he was searching. This creature was unlike anything he had ever seen and quite frankly it seemed majestic to him. It suddenly moved it's wings stretching outwards as it watched him, sizing him up. He stood perfectly still, told his new friends to stay still and waited to see what this bird would do. Luckily it seemed to approve of him.
Wondering what to do next, Kerrick slowly walked towards the tree but far enough away to not agitate his new visitor.

Character Name: Cyan Move to: 23 to 22 Response:
Well, Bird had seemed to settle down, and Honey seemed to be a little less frightened of their new companion. Did Cyan dare to say they might actually be able to be friends? Perhaps Bird deserved a real name after all. She was going to have to dwell on that later or wait for one to come to her.
Cyan climbed up a small foothill, Bird flying off ahead to -- Cyan presumed -- survey the area. When Cyan got to the top she found a small valley with a beautiful stream cutting through the center. This meadow really was a lot larger then it had first seemed. Come to think of it, Cyan was quite parched, but while the stream looked clear enough, Cyan didn't dare drink from it. But perhaps Bird and Honey could refuel and rehydrate.
Cyan set Honey down, keeping a close eye on them and Bird to make sure nothing afoul happened. Just as Cyan let Honey run loose for a bit, she spotted something peculiar growing between the rocks.
Cyan didn't dare touch it after seeing what happened to the twins, leaning in and --- eeeew, was it hair? Gross. Cyan couldn't tell what kind of hair it is, but it looked vaguely equestrian. Was it ... Kirin hair? Maybe it came form one of the Kirin-blooded on their search party. That would make the most sense, or even the Kirin from the valley they passed a few days ago could have wandered through here. Or, maybe someone from the first expedition?
It gave Cyan something to think about.

Prompt for Square 11 This is where someone found a page of Dr Horn’s journal. Better find them if you want to read it!
Prompt for Square 14 You're wandering towards the tall, grass-like flowers now. You've lost the horizon in one direction, and in all the others you can almost be blinded by the beautiful flowers.
Prompt for Square 20 A small space of flowers seems to have been torn up and scattered about, with a few long, beautiful feathers left in the middle. They sure are shiny!
Prompt for Square 22 Dancing amongst the flowers, occasionally jumping up and kicking its hooves, is a fluffy young kidden. It seems as happy as... well... a kidden in wildflowers. As soon as you approach it, the kidden bounds gleefully towards you, offering up a flower in its mouth.
