[Prompt 7 - Zone A Finale Battle] After the rest of the group up at the castle is reunited and the mist begins to clear, they all rush down to the river to aid the scouts that ran ahead. The large serpent is visible well before they arrive and it’s obvious something has happened as the front runners are frozen in place. With more time to prepare themselves, they are able to launch into a battle before the front runners can take damage.
[The Boss] is a giant, iridescent serpent with four enormous, milky white eyes. A large portion of her body is visible above the crystallized lake, but the rest is coiled beneath the surface. Shadows flicker across her skin, occasionally taking the form of the child-like youma before melting back into darkness. Given the smaller youma and the serpent's proximity to the playground, it would be safe to assume that this monster might once have been the town's Schoolmistress.
She has ??? health - she will be dead by time frame rather than actual HP count.
Her special ability is a petrifying gaze that locks up the characters’ muscles and freezes them in place, unable to speak or move.
[For Battle] All characters will use the 6 sided die:
Rolling 1 - 5 = damage to boss, you collect a point for every damage done (1 damage = 1 point, 3 damage = 3 points).
Rolling 6 = This initiates the boss effect, your character earns no points for this turn.
SPECIAL BONUS - "You are now smelly" If your character explored the toy chest in prompt 3a, you are immune to the boss effect because of the kid-youma stink on your clothes. The serpent assumes you are one of hers. Instead, you do 6 damage and collect 6 points if the number 6 is rolled.
A character may post a dice roll every 8 hours. (You may have a maximum of 3 rolls, and no more, even if I am late closing this thread for some reason.)
If you chose Choice 1 in prompt 6a (to scout the river) you forfeit your first roll and may not respond to this prompt until 8 hours have passed. (Unless you carry the "You are now smelly" status effect as outlined above.)
If you were part of Choice 3 in prompt 6b and you rolled a 1, your character must exit to the Base Zone and you do not get to participate in this prompt. If you rolled 2 - 6, no cool down is required between that post and your first boss roll.
