The crystals gradually disintegrated until the other two were comfortably standing on the ground again. Zhi remained hovering and surrounded in a faint veil of light. "Okay... uhm... you two go ahead and report in with Chie. If... if you get there before me let her know that I'll be there soon." Zhi turned away, still keep her mask on to hide the intense conflict she surely couldn't conceal otherwise, '... probably.' She thought to herself as she took off into the sky again. She needed to think. She needed to decide on what she should do. If she didn't explain what happened herself it would be worse, but not by much considering all that happened anyway. "Taylor..." The small crumbling raft Suri claimed as her flagship swiveled about almost as much as it's drunken navigator before bumping into a halt for the first checkpoint. tab Ferrah only gave a small nod in thanks as she watched Zhi characteristically zip off. A brief wonder passed through her mind as to why she wasn't going with them to report to Lady Chie but it left as soon as it came. To be honest she couldn't care less if she came with them or not, just as she didn't care if Zhi got in trouble for it later. She inly had one thought of concern and that was the impending war she was certain was on the horizon. Above all she needed to look into methods in order to keep Lahlil safe. With a determined grimace Ferrah trudged her way to the office.
And so, there Rinka stood blind, crippled and alone. Zhi had flown off to face whatever judgement awaited them and Lahlil had vanished into the crowd. What should she do? Certainly Chie would want to hear her side of the report, even if it was going to be short and broken. Was this their plan the whole time; use the rogue and ditch her when she wasn't needed anymore? No, certainly not. Well, at least maybe not Lahlil's plan. She was such a nice kid... though she did get a little weird towards the end. Maybe is all was just a ruse. Unsure of where to go next, Rinka simply stood where she was dropped off and let the cogs within her head churn around the idea that she had been played. Certainly there must be something she was missing.

Laden with a very large pack, even for him, Karuto turned left into the main road and into sight of the gates. He was in no rush and has even stopped for some Teriyaki Chicken on a Stick. He munched on the treat as the crowds parted to reveal the entirety of the gates...and the multiple armed Vortex operatives that were milling about. Chie herself stood at the gates, an aura of lightning surrounded her. Karuto made a sour face and narrowed his eyes 'Lightning Armor? C'mon B*tch, get your own thing' He thought to himself as he approached the exit to the village. He didn't see Koutetsu around anywhere so the Raiken threw his pack off of his back and rolled his shoulders now that he was free of its burden. With a grunt of relief, he strode over to Chie, hands on his hips "Oi! A little odd to see you out here" He used one hand to massage his massive shoulder muscles as the other arm rotated to loosen it up "You, uh, got anything going on or something?" He wasn't an idiot- he could tell something was going on. And while Karuto generally tended to stay away from the bigger issues of the world- tending only to focus on the plot events that happened in his village- Chie seemed really on edge for some reason...
Chie's menacing aura faded the moment Karuto appeared. "Karuto?!" She said in absolute disarray. "What are you doing here? You and Koutetsu need to be as far away from here as possible!" She said as she pointed in the far distance. There was clear urgency on her face. "You need to leave now and get the boy as safely away from this as possible!. Koutetsu is too vulnerable of a target for what's heading our way." She said sharply. Her mind went to how easily the previous five tailed demon host died, which released the five tailed demon. If Karuto was still here, then that meant he had not yet trained her former student. And if that was the case, then the boy was an extreme liability if he remained in the village. After all, Koutetsu's earnest efforts are why he was chosen to be the five tailed demon host. But the people which Uzushiogakure had to worry about next would not care able his plucky personality. It was for this reason that Chie had to get the two of them away. She was not going to take no for an answer.

Waiting until she was able to sail on through before making an obscene gesture at the gate guard. Normally she'd be all over his remarks, after all who the hell was HE to say s**t about her KIND. Lucky for him Suri had a sister to find.
Catching a rope to the dock the Oni pulled herself ashore and proceeded to explore her new surroundings like a feral animal. There was no doubt about it, she did not belong here. Not with all these.. humans all in one place. Their soft foods, funny scented perfumes, and the cloths! Why all the cloths! Suri made these pants herself and they lasted her these past four years! Saiko appeared at the gates to check in with the gate guards and let them know he was leaving on Chie's authority. However, as he appeared at the gates, the man quickly realized that Chie was already there. Not only that but, she was yelling at Karuto it seemed. Saiko formed a handseal, causing him to disappear and reappear next to the Uzukage. "Lady Chie, I'm leaving to finish that mission you have given me. I will be going by myself to leave as many people here as possible to defend the village if it comes to that." The man would say before grabbing a mask out of his bag and placing it on his face. Suddenly his chakra materialization was completely changed, giving him a much less threatening chakra materialization. He almost passed as someone who wasn't a shinobi. "If I'm not to come back, then it was good working for you Lady Uzukage." Saiko would wait a moment to let Chie have a final word if she wished before he would disappear perhaps for the last time.

It wasn't long before Rinka snapped out of her angst-fueled daze and began wandering the docks that made up the entrance to the village. Probably not the wises choice she could have made at that moment; with only one arm and no eyes, one wrong slip could mean a quick, watery end for her. Still, she had to get somewhere that wasnt... well... here. Rinka's pace was slow and steady, keeping sure not to draw too much attention to her as she blindly nudged through the crowd towards... wherever. It was then Rinka heard something she'd never expected to hear again: an oni, or at least what she assumed to be an Oni. Her hearing was not exactly the best, but Rinka made out her name being called well enough to raise concern. Her pace quickened as she blindly pushed her way through the crowd, moving faster and faster as she darted in what she had hoped was the opposite direction of the voice. Rinka didn't know who was after her, but they knew her for sure, and that was enough of a reason to bolt. Her efforts to escape would be in vain, however. Mere moments after her dash for freedom began, Rinka found herself blindly crashing into a pair of dock hands unloading crates sending her sprawling to the ground.

Her face might have been solemn but no words, human or oni, could describe the rage she felt at that exact moment. These ridiculous and pitiful excuse for a race had done the unthinkable to her sister, and left her to beg in the streets? In a flash Suri was by her side seeking to help her up on her shoulder. Koutetsu sprinted through the streets, his thoughts on the conversation he and Sumiko had. As he neared the gates a strange sight graced him. Karuto-sensei and Chie-dono seemed to be in frantic conversation over something. A small accompaniment of masked shinobi and kunoichi seemed to be flanking the Uzukage. Something's wrong, I can feel it. He slowed to a walk as he approached. "Chie-dono, Karuto-sensei said you cleared me for a mission with him. I've arrived on time, prepared to head out." he announced, somewhat stiff even for the amount of caution he put forward in breaching the topic. He avoided asking about the cards. He had jumped the gun and rushed head long into the battle with the bijuu which resulted in it being sealed within him. The Gobi wasn't really bad company, when they spoke, but Koutetsu knew that it had changed things. Especially his relationship with Chie-sensei. Koutetsu wasn't sure what to make of his former academy teacher anymore, though being the Uzukage afforded her a tremendous amount of respect.
