And of course before he could even open his mouth to call out to her, Schörl had summoned a youma to sic on him. Him, with no attack power to speak of and first-level, basic magic that only fed off the basic magic of others. Damn it.
But he wouldn't run. If she was still in close-enough proximity, she would still be able to hear him. Maybe she would have her ears open to hear his cries of pain and other such sounds of carnage depending on just how sadistic she was, but he needed her to be receptive to him, so that would have worked to his advantage.
"Schörl!" he yelled, recalling to mind the other name of the generals he had committed to memory from Scholomance's letter several months ago. "What is it that I can give you in exchange for the Saturn Knight's starseed? Or is there nothing you want from me at all?" As he spoke, the senshi did his best to fend off the creature mauling him as best he could, but it was tricky when he only had his bare arms to keep it at bay. His own words rung futile in his ears, but he didn't feel he had anything to lose by asking.

Tortuga, Page of Jupiter
Tortuga was about to answer the dark clad guy who was now carrying the knight piggyback style when all hell just seemed to happen... even further. The squire seemed to lose interest, she was the only one between the three of them who would likely be able to hold her own. She left them to fend for themselves, one first stage being weighed down by the body of the knight while the second, Tortuga himself, would have to act as a guard. A job he promptly failed as a Lieutenant landed a blow to the dark mirrored fellow, it had taken Tortuga to realize who the boy was since he had never met one... just heard about them.
Before Tortuga could even react to the attack the lady with poofy hair did something... and in the process partially blinded him since he hadn't looked away fast enough. He might not be able to see anything other than sunspots at the moment but his hearing worked just fine. The mirror boy shouted just as voice hissed out He's ours which was quickly followed by the boy shouting out in pain. The kid was begging someone to take 'him' there was only one 'him' that the kid could be talking about and that was the bone knight. Tortuga tried to, he tried to help but everything was still a bit of a blur. His eyes needed longer to adjust but he could see enough to make out another kid in white pull the knights prone body the last few feet into the empty store.
Unsure about his own abilities to act as a protector right then Tortuga crouched down even lower, he had dropped low instinctively when he got light blinded, muttering to the mirror senshi 'breath, just breath' over and over. There was little more he could do right then as he was torn between helping the kid at his feet or going after the body of the knight. One needed drastic help but Tortuga knew there was little that he could do, the other seemed to need a paper bag to prevent hyperventilation.
The decision was taken from his hands when two things happened, one was a snow globe sailing past his head, he had to do a double take on that one, and the second was the mirror boy seemed to get over whatever had plugged him and climbed to his feet before taking off into the thick of things. Tortuga's sight was better now enough that he spotted youma loose in the area. Luckily they seemed to be focused on the lady with the butt wings but he didn't like his chances out here in the open with only one page protecting the building that was currently housing the body of the knight.
Scrambling to his own feel the tall redhead finished the last few feet to the empty store door only to find it shut. Rather than ruin any type of barricade the page inside might have set up Tortuga shouted through the door, "I'll stay out here and guard the door!" He wasn't the best guard but he was better than nothing right? Now if only he had a weapon besides his fists, and his medical bag which he still had on him by some miracle, he might actually be able to do some good.
Not quoting everyone mentioned since that would be insane ^.^ just assume everyone nearby is quoted
tl;dr - Tortuga fails as a bodyguard, gets blinded by light, has a snow globe just miss his head, then takes up guard/human wall duties in front of building currently housing Scholomances body.

Hvergelmir Knight of the Cosmos
Hvergelmir let her thread spin until she was certain that Scholomance's body was safely secured within the building, and it was clear that hostilities had slowed, though not stopped. There was protection for the body now, including that ferocious sailor soldier from earlier with the tentacles, and that was more than Hvergelmir could've offered -- a good thing, since there were four nasty-looking youma heading that way.
Hvergelmir's fingers paused in their spinning and choked down the thread to grab the spindle in hand and bring it to a stop: abruptly, the bright light fell, leaving those around Hvergelmir to enjoy the renewed stability of lighting, once their eyes adjusted to it.
"Schörl," she called out across the battlefield, ignoring the phantom itching under her skin. "You have a starseed and no body to go with it -- and no knowing what further casualties you risk by prolonging this battle, just to gain, what: a four-fingered soldier with a limp and a broken mind, bound to hate you if he remembers you at all? I can respect your cunning in bluffing a weak hand -- but if even if you get his body back and take Scholomance home to be your soldier, or trade him for some grudgingly willing convert here, if you lose even a single soldier in this conflict, your men and your superiors may not like what you paid their lives to gain.
"Call off your men and bargain with me. You have Scholomance's starseed -- I'll make you a fair offer for what it's worth. Supreme excellence consists in breaking the enemy's resistance without fighting -- isn't that so?"
HP: 200 / 200 DMG: N/A PER: 2 + 20 = 22 (vs. Schörl's current PER resist 10) Effects: 22 - 10 = 12 > 5 = Delayed Action, Schörl must address Hvergelmir directly and also cannot take a rolling action this turn.
Hvergelmir is not casting magic this turn, so the Accuracy penalty of -3 is not currently in effect.
Tremolite found himself wondering as he approached the Circle K from across the street to survey and try to make sense of the mess. The Negaverse seemed to be outnumbered here and since it wouldn't be realistic to stop someone on his side to ask to be filled in on the situation, Tremolite thought that it would probably be more efficient to beat it out of one of their enemies instead.
As if in response to his train of thought, it was at that moment when he heard a Jupiter Page (Tortuga) shout something about staying outside to guard the door in front of the dead storefront. Curiosity piqued, he started towards Tortuga with a smirk, twirling the back scratcher in his hand idly at the same time.
"Something you're guarding hmm? Are you prepared to die for it I wonder..."
Reinerite started off in the direction that she had lobbed the snow globe and was thankful that the bright white from earlier appeared to have faded away.
She spotted the red-haired man (Tortuga) from earlier, the other standing in front of what appeared to be some sort of storage facility...
And didn't that just seem suspicious.
She headed over, the general in green's command still ringing in her ears-
A blond-haired Lieutenant (Tremolite) headed in the same direction, Reinerite giving the other a simple nod before lunging at the red-haired man with fist raised and every intention of using it.
Ptolomaeus sunk to his knees and wailed in agony, and the sound was heartrenching -- for a second, Chrysocolla almost felt a little bad, but only for a second. He might have been Chaos, but he was in her way and he was in Cinnabar's way and Schorl's way - whatever he wanted didn't matter if he'd stand against them. Join or die, join or die.
She could feel the exhaustion starting to take root in her bones -- twice magick'd, in such a short timeframe, and -- it wasn't safe, to do it again, not until she refreshed. And she didn't want to do that here, so --
Chrysocolla concentrated and blinked out of existence and appeared next to Hvergelmir, her arms crossed, unaggressive for the moment.

Eleusis Page of Cosmos
It all happened so fast. Eleusis felt terribly useless, watching everything fly by around her. Watching Scholomance fall off his starseed, watching the Order go out -- and then there was a terrible, blinding flash of light, and she threw up a hand but it was too late, and she was blind and stumbling. She was too slow, too weak, too utterly useless to do anything but flail, desperately, and almost die, and --
And the light stopped, and so she opened her eyes.
Scholomance's body was gone -- carried off by better, stronger, smarter Order fighters. And the Knight, a fellow Cosmos Knight radiant as the stars, was trying to bargain.
A bargain.
Perhaps this time there would be no thrown Generals to interrupt Eleusis's offer, and make negotiating impossible.
"General!" She called, as politely as she could manage, taking a step forward. "General, ma'an, my offer still stands. It, ah, might be a better deal now? A live Lieutenant for a starseed?"
The Dark Moon senshi (Ptolemaus) was running back into danger, and there were too many of the enemy to risk throwing herself back into the fray and leaving Ice further undefended; and so Scylla remained by the barricaded door. There was another still with her on guard, and in the distance Hvergelmir seemed to have dropped her blinding light and be trying to bargain with Schorl for Ice's starseed. It was her quoting of the Art of War that made Scylla blink. For to win one hundred victories in one hundred battles is not supreme excellence.
The Art of War was how she survived as Jada. Pretend inferiority and encourage his arrogance. All warfare is based on deception. As Scylla, she fought by Machiavelli- If an injury has to be done to a man. it should be so severe that his vengeance need not be feared. If this worked, she might need to further consider a balance.
Yet with four youma, an angrily berserking Cinnabar, and two approaching Lieutenant converging on her and the Page next to her... she'd little time to consider the things she might try and do in the future. For now she needed to keep them from getting his body. Allowing his corruption was not an option. Frankly, she didn't want to see any corruption.
Nor was she feeling particularly inclined to try and- ffff. Tortuga was getting hit, and the youma were tearing at her, and while under normal circumstances this wouldn't be a problem, she didn't dare use her magic this close to the door, so she was swinging at one of the youma instead. She flailed, cursing.

Hy-Brasil, Squire of Earth HP:193/200 ATTK: 5 DEF: 5 Effects: Aspect active: Accuracy can’t be lowered DMG: 2(roll)+5(attk)-5(DEF)= 2 DAMAGE!
The light faded away as Hver called back her magic. Hy was forced to blink away the spots in front of her eyes as she attempted to return her vision to normal. She knew it would take some time to get back to where she was. The one thing that came rushing back to her though was the overwhelming need to protect something. To protect Scholomance. “Dammit!” She cursed as her eyes scanned the battlefield trying to figure out where his body could possibly be.
A voice issuing a command nearby caught the Squire’s attention and she turned as the youma that Cinnabar had summoned were rushing off to attack their prey, Scylla. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Schorl as well, but the Cosmos Knight seemed to have the woman’s attention, meaning that the b***h wasn’t going to run off with Scholomances starseed. So, Hy-Brasil took off after the youma.
She wasn’t nearly as fast as they were and was too late before they pounced upon Scylla like raving dogs on a chunk of meat. Hy didn’t doubt that the eternal could handle herself though. It was tortuga against the two Lieutenants that caught her attention. They were clustered in front of the building and Hy was willing to take the chance that maybe scholomance was being housed inside. The poor basic though was not going to last long with two lieutenants.
One of the Lieutenants attacking Tortuga was familiar. The one who had chucked a snow globe at her earlier. That made her decision easy enough. She rushed in, and instead of using her burner as a blugeoning weapon, she went right in with her fist. Punching at the lieutenants jaw from the side. Unfortunately, her readjusting eyesight meant her punch was just a bit off.
Tortuga was prepared for a fight since he had joined the lady with the butt wings protecting the door but he wasn't expecting the convergence of youma. Luckily they seemed to be focused on the lady however, before he could jump into the fray with the demon creatures someone called out to him. Some blond guy in a lame a** cadet uniform, a negaverser, was quickly approaching. It seemed that Tortuga's opponent would be a human rather than a youma.
He opened his mouth to snap out some witty remark, maybe a dirty harry quote or two, only to yelp in pain as a secondary, previously unseen, lieutenant punched him. It wasn't horribly painful but it still sucked and now he was facing two lieutenants, granted the eternal was facing three youma, at least this chick's uniform was a band uniform. It was nice to know that there was some verity in their outfits. Even if they sucked.
Tortuga punched back, mostly trying to get space between them since he didn't want to be cornered. He was about to continue his attack when the squire from before showed back up going after the blue haired band geek. Still not entirely comfortable hitting a girl, the tall redheaded page left the girls to fight it out and faced the blond again. "'If we bury you a** up, I have got a place to park my bike.'"
tl;dr - Tortuga spots Tremolite, gets hit by Reinerite and punches back, Hy-Brasil shoes up, and Tortuga faces Tremolite before snarks at him.

He wasn't sure he stood out at all in the chaos, shorter than a lot of people in DC that he'd met, bleeding from a split lip and bloodied nose, cuts on his arm and both legs... what might stand out was his Knight level energy signature, and the unconscious body of Leucite he dragged with an arm over his shoulders.
Bargains were being bantered about, and he shook his head a little trying to process them before he raised his voice (still ragged from Leucite's attempt to choke him.)
"ALTERNATIVELY. TELL THEM TO ******** OFF OR THEY CAN GO BACK, DOWN A ******** GENERAL."
And this one had some actual teeth to him, unlike the little corrupt who'd screamed and run with one hit. Leucite had given him a fair run for his money, and he imagined the loss would smart. Thugs like himself were a dime a dozen, you had to look to find someone who actually knew what they were doing.
(What's up naughty children, Kai is here to bleed on you.) DMG 13+ 12) + roll HP:123 of 250 Def: 5 : Effects: Aspect of mars: 1+ attack for every 10 hp lost.
Hy-Brasil was returning, and Scylla... needed to get up out of this pile and help the Page at the door, and her companion. The body was important. Let Hver get the starseed, or fail; Scholomance would not corrupt. They wouldn't have that small victory.
A knight came onto the field, carrying a General, and Scylla used the opportunity to smash her fist into a youma's face, watching it go up in a flicker. Three left. And an angry Cinnabar. Too bad she hadn't been closer- that had been a good hit.
"Help him! I'll be there as soon as I am done with these three." Possibly; unless Cinnabar got to her. The half-youma was hulking out, and it didn't look pretty. The fact that the chill running down Scylla's spine wasn't fear didn't make her feel any better either.
Hver probably wasn't very happy about their new bargaining chip, but Scylla was- she just wished she had been able to do the same to Cinnabar. And chances were, the unconscious man would be treated with a similar disregard. But if not...
Scholomance still wasn't on the corruption plate.

What was that about burying his a** to park his bike?
Tremolite snorted at the quote from Tortuga that literally flew over his head. "You're not making any sense. Anyway, if you're not moving and insist on being in the way, I'll just have to make you move then!" He snarled, crossing the distance that remained between them to strike out at the Page's side with his back scratcher.

Whimsical Blue rolled 2 20-sided dice:
11, 9Total: 20 (2-40)
A low growl rolled from the half youma general as the fighting went on around her, her form hunched and poised on the balls of her feet. Her tail flicked behind her, restless and eager. There was so much movement… for a few moments she seemed confused about who she wanted to target. Her eyes darted from one to another and then…
Someone joined the battle that caught her attention immediately, and the feral look she wore shifted from wary warning to rage, lips curling in her snarl. There was… something familiar about that man. Danger. Threat! Memories struggled to rise from the depths to break through the fog that held her, but she caught only vague flickers. Fighting him… marking him. Blood running red… It filled her with need.
He was saying something, but if she heard it, it didn’t seem to register… nor did the man he carried, unconscious in his arms. He was a threat. He was the enemy. Gathering herself, the General launched herself forward, her motions animalistic and heedless of the danger to herself. She rushed the mars knight with a roar, bowling into him with her full weight.
Youma Absorption - Cinnabar activates her ability by biting into a full youma. This causes them to dissolve into a black, oily cloud that she then swallows. While absorbed, the youma gives her a physical boost, upping her strength, speed and defense. After ten minutes, her body rejects the youma and its regurgitated; slightly drained, but undamaged. This ability comes with a ten minute cool down. While her body is recovering, any attempt to eat another youma will result in getting violently ill as her body rejects the absorption.
