Chris Watts || 25/25 || Incredibly unimpressed
Chris glanced at Sunny, wondering what the hell that was supposed to mean and then back at Shun, pleased to have at least some form of explanation. Even if it was, incredibly ******** stupid. But he wasn't about to criticize actions that had already been taken - it was already done and everyone was at least together.
Like Shun had said, they needed to make a plan, and soon. Time was starting to run out and from what Chris had gathered, Thorne and Shiloh didn't have that time.
"Well, whatever we have, we might as well share it. Maybe if we pool the information we have, we can spot the inconsistencies and lies. Not to mention, the more information we have, the better a plan," Chris said to Shun, taking a look around the room. "If no one wants to offer first, I can go. I did talk to a lot of people though."

Jack Hawthorn | 25/25 | arms crossed discussion time
"Damn right you had a good safety net." Jack sighed and looked skyward for something. Who knew what it was. He seemed to be the only one of the opinion to not mess with things so openly, whether it disturbed someone's sensibilities or not. Gathering information was supposed to be more covert.
He watched as a familiar face went to check on Chel, waiting until the latter had shooed the former towards someone else before speaking up. "...Temperance," he said by way of introduction, a frown creasing behind his mask at the lack of hers. At this point, why wouldn't she be there. "Always at work even at a dance, I see."
Well, that seemed good enough.
Nodding to Chris, he said to the group, "Just list everything you were told, one by one, and by whom. A systematic examination will bring out the inconsistencies."

[ Unmasked Temperance: 25/25 sheepishly talking to Chel and Shun and Chris] "My mask? Oh, it's, um, right here." She held it aloft. "It won't stay on anymore..." Temperance has tried to pull it back down over her face, only to have it fall off. Even though the ribbons had remained tied before, now as soon as she secured the mask, they unknotted and revealed her face. She flushed, remembering why she'd pushed it off her face in the first place. "Anyway, Chris is right - pooling is the best way to spot lies. Still trying to take charge, Jack," she said mellowly. From a pocket deep within her voluminous skirts, Temperance produced a small notebook. "So I heard that the man on fire does not want to use a human for the tithe," she began, hoping others would follow suit. "He told me that, specifically. The deer person said that deaths tonight stick - it seemed implied that one would make an, um, political move, so to speak, and off someone you hated. Prividainye said something similar and that everything depends on if we act." Temperance continued to list things methodically, reading from her little notepad.

alois scholz in heels || 25/25 || need more fellows With Alexander in tow, Alois dipped into the brilliant scarlet foyer with its bubbling white wine fountain and myriad dancers. Scanning the crowd was of little need - Hux towered far beyond the average man here - and naturally the pair were spotted in an instant. Ever together, even since their departure in the ivory halls. Alois wondered what would come between them, if not the call of their masters.
With a hand splayed to Alexander to perch him there, Alois weaved through the crowd toward the two dancers, or lovers, or soulmates whom he required. A hand raised and touched Hux’s shoulder. He braced his fingertips against Bennett’s arm as well. „I have need of both of you,“ he broached quietly. „The party’s excitement has Father’s prodigal sons growing unruly. I’ve corrected one myself, but Adoelle’s boy and one of the guests have joined in on the rebellion. It is a contagion, I expect, and one we should quash with the heartiest of treatments.“
He turned to Bennett, and tightened his grip. „Your lesser half, brother, has obtained a mask. This will need to be remedied.
„And Huxtable, you may want to talk some sense into your lesser half too. He thought it wise to use his mental prowess to push me out of the ebony spire. As far as I’ve seen in gathering the lot of you, they haven’t left. Alexander is waiting for us now. Shall we?“ In last parting, Alois offered both arms with which the others could link as he turned toward the high arches of the scarlet foyer’s exits.

"Shun knows most of what I know. Won't bore you sayin' it twice."

alois scholz (unmasked) || 25/25 || just witnessed a murder Alois watched blankly while the eldritch gentleman nonchalantly snapped the bird’s neck and stuffed it beneath his mask. A brow furrowed as Alois received a lone wing feather, moist, and he pocketed it out of confusion for the proper etiquette in this situation. He only half-listened to the story of budgerigar, though he found it good fortune that he caught one for the hungry patron. What he had to say in response, though, was somewhat disappointing.
„I sink she’ll be fine,“ he returned as he glanced back to her. „Between Ezra and ze mask law, I doubt anyone will touch her tonight.“ He splayed out a few fingers in parting, then strode back into the crowd.
He had much work to do, and little time left as midnight approached.Silverah quick acknowledgement of eldritch bro~

Autumn Smith 25/25, sharing information "..The ******** did he mean, Adoelle's boy?" Autumn asked, watching the little scene of assholes parade in and out of the scarlet foyer. Odder still was that they hadn't caused a commotion...
"So. They didn't start a fight in here. ********," she spat, then turned back to the group.
"Anyway! My dish is all this. One: According to Rabbit, Adoelle is on the list of possible kill-ee's tonight. Two: The Burning Man, or Ezra, or whoever the ******** we're calling him now, doesn't want a human dead tonight. Three: Gloom, the little... weasel-thing, said Spinel b***h and Burning Man's target was once human. Clammed right the ******** up when they saw him. Four: The Prideful One told me the Sinister Survivor is the most important person here. He could kill everyone, but for some reason, he doesn't. Five: Alois told me one of the deer triplets is done for. Six: Spinel b***h told me the magic of the masks protects us. You can give it away to protect someone else, if you have to. Seven: The... weird guy with that voice thing, uh. Sunny's dad? Says that Melany helps decide the tithe. Eight: Hux let me know Adoelle thinks she's done for. And nine: Pax told me they're not helping pick the tithe. They're just here as a representative of Heliodora."
Autumn clicked her tongue, looking around the group.
"So I kinda think... we need to talk to Sinister Survivor again, figure out what's up with him. But what I don't get is How one of the deer triplets is going down, if they all have masks. Lemme know your thoughts, yeah?"

Shun Kuroda 25/25 | Brooding
Chel had already pointed out Temp's folly, so he didn't bother doing the same. Instead, he narrowed his eyes as a group of masked doubles came by and left, speaking of several cryptic things. From what he gathered, one of the real guys ended up with a mask, and that more than just Alois was rebelling. Maybe.
His attention turned to Autumn, listening to her spew out her information. It... was more than what he had, honestly. Now that he thought about it, he didn't really have a whole lot of substance. What had he accomplished tonight aside from start that royal mess in the ivory hall?
Failure...
The word echoed in the back of his head as his fingers drummed against his arm. He remained silent for now

Jack's face creased some more as they listed notes off. While Temperance took them down, he asked, "Who is Adoelle? Pax? Melany? Heliodora? Prividainye? What deer triplets?" (Some, like the latter, were more to gain further information rather than flat out get the wikipedia page. He had taken photos; he had seen rather deer-like people.)
It was deja vu again, like the questions he had been asking when the weres had attacked.

Chris Watts || 25/25 || Trying to help
Chris nodded at the information shared, worrying his sleeves in thought. Finally, he spoke up.
"I have information similar to Autumn, but some differences. Shiloh told me, the unmasked one, that Melany knows that we're working against her and will do anything to stop us. And Pax told me that the proposed tithe is kin, but not kind. She's like us, but unlike and that we should protect her." He paused as he spoke, taking another breath.
"Adoelle said that there are three patrons here, her, Melany, and The Burning Man. By the end of the night, there would only be two. The guy in the plague doctor mask, he said that the patrons had it in their best interest to lie to us and that out of them, one of them was the least trustworthy and to find where the information didn't line up."
He nodded towards Shun and Autumn this time, saying "For instance, The Spinel Lady, Melany? She told me that these favors were helping decide who will help pick the tithe. But that contradicts clearly with the triplets picking the third, along with Pax not helping to pick at all. It sounds like she's the one lying to us the most."
"I think we should instead, talk to The Burning Man. I was told by the Prideful one that he was the best option of the three and was also told by The Burning man that The Sinister Survivor wasn't trustworthy," He said, giving a bit of a shrug. "It could be that someone gets one of the deer triplets to take off their mask, if they offer protection. What I'm more worried about is that dude- " He gave a nod to the Eldritch Gentleman "Told me The Enemy was going to reveal one of his forms tonight."

"Spinel mentioned the Enemy being the patron of all of us," Shun mumbled, "Only other thing I have to add that has not yet been said is apparently she will do everything in her power to ensure the tithe goes through."
He let out a breath. Yeah, he didn't have a whole lot to add.
"From the sounds of it, there are two prime targets. One of the deer siblings, or Adoelle. The latter fits the 'formerly human' bill, though I am uncertain of the triplets."
Towards Jack, he let out a grunt, "Adoelle is the maskless girl who was near the Burning Man. The deer triplets are the three deer-like folk, Pax being one of them. Heliodora is another teenager who is currently stuck in her grove, and such Pax is here to represent her. Prividainye is the one who has no face. And Melany is the Spinel Lady."

"Not to be argumentative here, Chris," Autumn replied, tilting her head a bit, "but I don't trust the burning man for s**t. Maybe divide and conquer, then? Cause that ******** put me in the hospital when Zac wouldn't give him his heart, so. Not inclined to kiss his flaming a** tonight." She shrugged a bit, then added more quietly.
"Glad to see you're not dead, man. It's been awhile." Her attention turned back to the others, and Autumn added.
"So maybe.. both of them? See if we can get someone who hasn't pissed off Spinel on the Burning Douchelord, and someone else can head off after Sinister Survivor? That's my thought, anyway. I don't think we should just write Sinister Off cause someone in cahoots with that horrible woman said he wasn't trustworthy." Her attention turned to Shun.
"What do you think?"
