First it was xyzzy, then plugh, and when they completely re-did the leaflet, they changed it so that the code was random for everyone and it reset at ascension, and you only get one chance to try. (There are other magic words, which gives you a less than 50/50 chance; I don't remember the others. ) @ Skiz-Erz: There's no way to get back through the maze if you missed the fireplace stuff.

How do I beat the secret teasure map thing you find early on?

And what the hells the ketchup hound do?The secret treasure map? If you're talking about the Slug Lord, Dr. Hobo, or Dolphin King maps, you need to have certain items to get the rewards. If you're over level 4 or so, don't bother; the reward items make a good early outfit for low levels. The ketchup hound is used for something after you get the Hey Deze map reward.
