Teiluj post 3

The tears pricking at Teiluj's eyes seemed to halt a little at Nkoles words. Growing a little wider as he spoke about her mother. He was right, Maya wasn't likely to be doing something so horrible. Blushing a little she nodded, "thank you Nkole. You're right, Mamma has a few friends who like me are hybrid of Alkidike and earthling. She views just about everyone in a good light." Keeping her hand in his Teiluj reveled in the warmth and the contact.

Opening her mouth to mention that she was going to start looking for Aysun and Chandra Teiluj was distracted as Enki started speaking. Fear rushed through her. "I don't want to fight, I've already seen and felt the damage they can do. Why do we have to be the first line of defense?" She mumbled, her body trembling where it stood. Even as Antiope spoke there was little reassurance there. The emotions of the crowd were starting to overwhelm her. To many voices, to many sounds, and she wanted to run from it all. As Enki spoke again it only seemed to fuel her own fear.

Teiluj stepped closer to Nkole, pressing her body against his for comfort as she searched the crowd. If she could find more familiar faces, if she could get their assistance in running from the impending battle she was going to try to do that. She had heard from other healers the stories of how they had been pulled into the oban war and forced to heal. She herself wasn't skilled enough in healing and feared what would happen if history with her kind was repeated. "Aysun and Chandra and some other friends. Nkole... I don't want to be here if war breaks out... lets leave now. Lets go on our adventure..."

Her eyes continued to search the crowd until they settled on the familiar face she knew to belong to Aysun. It had helped he had been on Maw, the height had made him easier to see. "Oh, there! Aysun!" Teiluj shouted as pointed out Aysun. Giving him a large wave hoping he could hear and see her in return. Waiting a moment Teiluj's thumb slid over the skin of Nkoles hand as if reassuring herself he was really there. She turned back to look Nkole in the eyes a worried expression settled there. She wanted to know what he was thinking, but was too afraid to ask. Too afraid the talk of war was sparking some memories.

Kiyelt 1

Kiyelt was seriously ready to kick some alkidike butt, Oba had laid a serious fire in his viens and his boyd had molded around it. Yelena and him were no more but he still had all of his familiars for company. He was given a wide berth due to his exotic and large companions. That fact made him very proud, he was who he should be. Home was wherever he wanted it to be. Poor Sauti getting clawed over for not good reason, someone had sttuck a prickle bush up those alk's butts and it was a pity the rest of them had to clean up the mess.

"I say we help Sauti, together we are stronger, this is not my first time in this position."

Sauron 1

Sauron strode over to the familiar voice "Nor mine, well met Kiyelt, I see you've made new friends. Sauron had his own predatory creature plus those his daughter had found. "I too think we should all band together, we did it once we can do it as many times as needed."

He would alwasy protect his family, he didn't care who threatened. Some of his children had also chosen to fight, caryying on the family legacy. Still Sauron felt better knowing that Seze had her pets and Vallen now had a radaku.

His own Skava stood close by, studiously ignoring the other critters around him.

Vallen 1

Vallen was a ways away from his father, petting his radaku and looking for his friends, he couldn't see Issaly never mind Isairs, it wasnt' fair, he wanted to tsee them, talk to them and he was stuck here with his father and his motivational speeches. They were here weren't they? That should be answer enough to the question of helping Sauti or not. Those who cared enough were ready to help protect the land. Sauti had helped save Jauhar so Jauhar would help return the favor. Vallen couldn't stop petting his new radaku. He reminded Vallen of his sister's radaku but black instead of white. Unduru growled when others got too close which made his master grin, baring many white teeth.

Xarn Post 3

Well apparantly he didn't Xarn brushed himself off as he stood. He looked at the two being, bowing slightly at the waist. "My name is Xarnith. Xarn...to friends." he smiled as he straightened out. "Its a pleasure to meet you both."

He shifted the sling on his front to his back. The youth wanting to present himself more...warrior like.

Dris'rynne 3

"Good," Dris'rynne nodded. If war broke out relations with the Alkidike would never be the same, regardless of whether they condoned the actions of the extremists or not. It was a last resort that would more than likely go through if they chose to stand against them. Although she had only practiced in private, Dris'rynne felt ready to fight against them.

How many are going to have to suffer before Aisha's lust for domination is sated?

Her parents had yet to return and the weight of her responsibilities was heavier now than ever. Dris'rynne knew her grandfather was still in good health, but her grandmother was frail. He couldn't watch after her and the girls. Then there was Talisia to consider...It was enough to make her want to pull out her hair! "Some homecoming, right?"

Callum 3

"Sauti born." Callum answered easily. "I haven't been in Jauhar for long. It's been an adjustment."

He had his suspicions as to this boy's particular mix, but asking would have been rude. The shifter skin was obvious, though his hair could have been Wind or a dyed Tale...the small curved ears are what clenched it for Callum. A fellow Shifter/Wind stood before him, or so Callum guessed, with far brighter coloring than himself. Lucky.

"Resources are relatively easy to find here, but like you said, you have to know Sauti to really make sense of it. I can't see why they would want to leave Aisha. They're smart, so I can see how they might adjust to life in the crags, but...I don't know, I guess I'm just confused as to why they would want to be so far from their sacred tree."

Ouen | 3

“Hey now!” He drawled, leaning back to take a better look at her. Now that she was looking at him and speaking, she seemed a lot more familiar. She seemed to recognize Shenandoah, too, and remember something of how Ouen came to have his companionship.

Why, that meant she could be only one person – “Mirin!”

“You’re lookin’ pretty damn impressive yourself,” He grinned broadly. “Last time I saw you, you was pretty tiny. Not that it stopped you from makin’ an impression.”

A cry from the leaders brought their attention back to the front of the crowd. None of what he heard took him by any sort of surprise, and for a moment he raised his hand to the side of his mouth so as to project his own opinion.

“So bring on war! We got a say over who does what in our own land, and if the Alkidikes don’t like it they can sharpen their swords and try an’ hack their way through. If this crowd’a cowards wants to let ‘em pass, I ain’t gonna sit tight and pretty about it. I’ll fight my own dang war if I gotta – border to border, I tell ya. An’ hell, I’d follow them right into Sauti… ‘cept they won’t get that far.”

Having said his piece, he turned back to Mirin with a shrug. “That’s ‘bout sums it up, I figure. I sure ain’t gonna lie down an’ announce to everyone that we shifters are a bunch’a moony pushovers.”

Juno | 3

Hm. So he was from Sauti. But he wasn't just plain Wind, that was certain. Feeling none of the apprehension that the other might have, Juno reached out to touch a lock of feathery white hair.

"You're a half-breed, though. What sort? You aren't part Shifter, are you? 'cause that'd be a funny coincidence."

It would make sense; he had the blue crystals and gleaming eyes he was becoming familiar with. But he looked so different from Juno, it would certainly have been amusing if it was true. It was like someone had up and tried to find the two most different ways a Shifter-Wind halfbreed would end up looking, Juno with his clash of color and this fellow with his subtle, fair hues.

There was more speech from the leaders of the crowd, but Juno shrugged at it all and nodded to agree with his companion. "I heard some rumors one of their leaders is over there, or something like that. Maybe not a leader, but someone with some influence? I dunno, I don't get this Alkidike folk. I really think they're gonna be some special kind of disappointed when they get there, though. Would hate to get a war started over it, especially when all of these folks don't even have anything to do with the issue. Whatever the issue is."

Callum 4

Not bothered at all by the stranger touching his hair, Callum nodded his head. "My father is a Shifter and my mother is from the Wind tribe. You're the same, aren't you?"

Callum reached out to touch the smoother crystals on the boys shoulders. It was fairly amusing. Had one of them been born female then they would have been completely different, yet so very similar. "I have to say I prefer your combination much more so than my own. The contrast between your hair and skin is lovely. Does it shift?"

"Really?" He furrowed his brow. "I wonder what she would have been doing over there..." Shaking his head, Callum shrugged his shoulders and relaxed. "Personally I'm hoping that one of their higher ups will be open to talks, and we can avoid all of this."

Smiling softly, he reached up to tuck some of his hair behind a pointed ear. "The name's Callum. I know it's not exactly a good place or time to say this, but it's pretty cool meeting someone like me."

Cyn Post # 2

So it seemed, between the two of them the leaders agreed with him. Peace was the preferred option, but one must always be prepared for anything. A lesson Cyn was learning more and more each day. He had come to the festival in hopes of maybe meeting with his sister for she had been gone for so long. He hadn't even gotten a chance to mention his trial and give her the gift he had made. The crowd had caught his attention and Cyn stopped to listen when he noticed the leaders. That was reason Cyn had stuck around to listen, and he was glad he did. Like his father before him, Cyn would fight to protect his village if it came to that. "Negotiations first, war as a last resort." He'd mumble to himself before reaching back to throw up his hood to cover his red hair. He'd stay close in case the leaders spoke again, as he felt this to be an important time. He couldn't be the sheltered kid anymore that just practiced archery, he had to pay attention to and explore the world around him. Cyn moved through the crowd, his head on a swivel as he looked for Syqvara. There was no way to even know if she was her, but he hoped she was. He tried his best to not disturb or bump into anyone as he moved around but as more people showed up it became a more difficult task.

Biroki (Post 1)

Biroki had been listening, thinking about what this meant. He felt tired. Old. He wasn't old, but he had lost so much to war already. Part of him wanted the war – the excuse to let his destructive powers loose, with targets he could exercise his wrath on without fear of reprisal. But he felt... cool. The trip to Zena, and the many issues that had been exposed during that trip, had changed him. He stood from where he had sat this whole time and strode over to the knot of people engaged in heated discussion.

”I support this negotiation. If their aim is not to attack us, then I say... l-let them through.” he said, ”We don't need to fight them. We don't have to fight them. There is h-hope that our friends among them will stop this before it gets out... out of hand. We should take that hope, and not interfere.”

Niadra - Post Three
She frowned. This was worse then she thought then. For a second she thought she spotted Nyiim and froze, but she must have been imagining it because she didn't seem him after that. She shook her head. "Do you think there are a lot of extremists? Or only a few?" it would make a difference, and a huge one, if they knew the number of people they would have to fight or stop.

"Do yuo think that Aisha would want that? I've never met her or anything, but I figured with so many hybrids running around she had to be okay with the earthlings?"

Mano Post 4

Awww, she was so cute when she blushed Mano thought to himself, rather enjoying the pretty Shifter's reactions to him giving compliments. There was always a wide range of reactions from embarrassed to confused to more then accepting. It was always a joy to see how the different people he was interested in reacted to him. As she said that he could stay with her, that she didn't mind the company, and that their golden haired friend could stay as well, Mano was delighted! This was in fact the best of days, a blessed one, and he was going to have to pray to all of the Gods and Goddesses later in thanks.

"Alassiel, that's a beautiful name." Mano murmured, turning to look toward the Wind Tribesman as he introduced himself as well, "And Xarnith, wonderful! My name is Mano and it's great to meet the two of you!" He gave his best smile, his ear fins giving a happy little twitch as he introduced himself to the pair that he wanted to spend the festival with! Provided of course that it kept going forward, hard to tell when people were currently debating what they wanted to do about the 'Alkidike'. Those were a people he didn't know nearly enough about and he felt that he really needed to remedy that soon.

Stepping forward so that he could hook his arms with those of his new companions and he asked, "So! What shall we do next? Tense as it is there is a festival going on and we can still have fun if we try!"

AMINAH POST 4

Aminah nodded her head, her face flickering with a frown before she replaced it with a look of either peace or contentment for the sake of her children. "I don't agree with what is going on, but this one I'll be sitting out." She let her eyes flick to the two on her lap.

"No dear, I don't think that it's because everyone wants to go to Sauti." She hung on her words while trying to think about how to explain it to her babies. "There are bullies who want to start trouble. We don't want that, though, because it's mean to everyone else. But Sauti isn't the problem, it's the people who want to go pick on the people in Sauti." She squeezed Jerami's hand.

JHANA POST 4

Jhana was nodding her head to her brother, so sure about her suggestion that she didn't think it could be wrong, but stopped and looked to her mother with shock when she answered otherwise. "Oh..." She trailed off. Her idea made more sense. But bullies were bad.

"But Mama, if they're bullies, won't they give us trouble too if we do something to them?" They sounded like bad people, but if they wanted to pick on someone Jhana didn't want it to be her.

She was so wrapped up in her ideas and thoughts, she hadn't even turned to look at her auntie. But she thought maybe she could get her auntie to agree with her. "Right Auntie? They'll just pick on us too." She half whined.

SATHE POST 4

She heard the sound of her nephew's voice and her face lit up. She did miss them, and they were getting so big now. "Look at you two! You're almost as big as me now." She laughed.

She let Aminah's answer be the end of that conversation, but offered her hands out to her nephew to sit on her lap. "Want to come sit with me, Jerami?" She patted one hand on her lap. "I think that they just want to steal the big firebirds away from the people of Sauti." She made a face to the little boy and girl in her sister's lap.

TAU POST 4

Tau answered for Liira before she could get a word in. "Of course you can. And you don't have to ask mommy for it." He winked at her and spun around in a circle. "Alright, what to eat, what to eat?" Tau spotted a stall with serafin meat on a stick. That looked delicious and easy enough to eat. "Alright here." He lead the way and ordered for the three of them, handing over the coin and grabbing the four sticks. Two of them were for him of course.

"Now eat this first and then we'll find you sweets." He handed a stick up to Tyyn on his shoulders before she was snatched away by Liira.

LIIRA POST 4

Liira had to practically run to catch up with Tau. Damned legs. He had already bought the food before she could even say anything, but she had to smile at his words. At least he knew better than to let her skip dinner before desert.

He handed the stick up to his daughter and Liira could see her pulling her hands off of her dad, and Tau only holding onto the sticks. She quickly snatched Tyyn back off of her dad's shoulders and back onto her hip - secure. "Alright enough of that. At least hold onto her if you're going to have her that high." She nagged. He handed her a stick as well and she help her baby in one and her food in the other. "If you eat all of it you can have desert." She added.

TYYN POST 4

Tyyn accepted the food from her father and her eyes suddenly widened when she felt herself being pulled backward off of her dad. It wasn't the first time though, so she just latched herself onto her mom's hip and took a big bite out of her food. "It's yummy!" She exclaimed, her mouth watering for more.

She was only a few bites in when she realized that she would be full before she finished. "But mommyyyy... I can't finish this. It's so big." She frowned.

She ate as much as she could, but was too full for sweets. "Daddy I'm done." She said, holding out her stick with meat still on it to her father.

They had been walking while eating and without even realizing it, Tyyn was back in the group. Without her desert, she thought with a groan.

YEJIDE POST 4

Yejide was still listening to the talk around her, incoherently grumbling something or other about the situation when she felt a nose near her side. A radaku had just approached her out of the blue. She pursed her lips and leaned away from it. What did it want?

Its owner seemed to come trailing behind, apologizing for it and calling him bored. "Mhm... yeah... you should probably keep that thing tied up." She suggested with a grumble in her voice. Animals smelled, and this one was large and too close to her to get away without smelling him.

She could hear the others still talking about the discussion, but to her it was all talk at this point. Someone let her know when something was actually going to be done.

Sorry in advance D: Yejide is a sarcastic grump. Probably not the best company, but if Careele wants to keep talking to her she could warm up C: She needs the company.

MIRIN POST 4

Mirin laughed out at Ouen's outburst. He knew what was up. She lifted her head and shouted "Yeah! Bring 'em on, that's what I say." It was only right. If they wanted to fight, Mirin would give them a fight. Stand up against them.

She was less than skilled in battle, but what did that matter? She had taken on the Obans with Ouen when she was younger, she could take on the Alkidike now that she was a decent size comparably. She turned to Ouen and put her hands on her hips. "I can't even believe this is a conversation right now. What other option is there? How could anyone want to just pretend it isn't happening?" She scoffed.

Syqvara Post 4

In her time standing and thinking she noticed a movement out the corner of her eye that caught her attention. Chandra was being pounced upon by, who she assumed was, his brother. The leafling smiled to herself as she watched, then not wanting to intrude on their moment she turned away completely. Sy moved slowly and eventually would disappear into the crowd, deciding that her friend wouldn't want to see her. It was a thought that upset her somewhat and one hand went to the pouch at her side that held different plants in it that she had collected.

So deep in thought she didn't even realize she was heading right for someone. She didn't even pay attention to the movement of others. So when she was pushed out of the way of someone trying to join their spouse she lurched forward and collided with the back of someone. Syqvara gave a small squeak and threw her arms out and around Nyiim to prevent her from falling to the ground completely. Face pressed into a male's back and her hands against his chest she felt embarrassment invade every inch of her. Sy was almost positive that she was red all over. "S-S-s-sorry..." Her stutter was worse than normal and she didn't dare move.
