It was getting a bit late for their meet up. But whatever, at least he was here, and it wasn't like Zak didn't have enough to keep himself busy. He typed up a quick response:

Apollo had managed to just get his shirt over his head when his communicator buzzed with a new text, most likely from Zak. He stepped back to his bed to grab the electronic and bring it up to his face, only to drop it with a surprised shout when he was met with an irate face glaring up at him. "Pick me up, idiot!" An angry, albeit familiar, voice shouted from down below, where the communicator now lay. Apollo breathed out and with his heart still hammering in his chest, picked it back and turned it over so that he could stare directly at |20+0|/|. "When did you get back out?" He set him down on the ironing board, they could talk -- or more aptly, he could be yelled at -- while he finished getting ready. "That's not important. What is important is that you're meeting with that fleshy, Zak, by the windmills," |20+0|/| informed, and for a moment the communicator began to vibrate. Apollo reached out to grab it, expecting another text, but a glare from the ghost pokemon stopped him. "No one's texting you." He was... excited. Apollo seeing that dumb fleshy meant that he could see Meebus again. "Okay..." Not in the mood to question his actions, or motive, he slipped into his shoes before making the short jog back to the bathroom to brush his teeth and hair. "Hurry it up! No one cares what you look like anyway!"
With |20+0|/|'s words of encouragement urging him on, Apollo was able to leave his room five minutes later, and with the Rotom's instructions, he found his way from his hotel to the windmills. It was once they'd arrived at the meet-up spot that |20+0|/| pulled himself out of Apollo's communicator, and zipped away to find his friend, leaving the trainer to do the same. Thankfully, it wasn't that hard, and he found Zak in front of his computer. "Glad to see you can keep yourself busy while you waited," he offered a smile as he walked over to the taller male. "How have you been?"
A head start wasn't needed, in |20+0|/|'s case, as he found Meebus not too far away from his fleshy. Unfortunate, but he was there! "m33bu5! (Meebus!)" Happier than he'd been in a long time, he zipped over to the other Rotom, completely ignoring the other pokemon that was with him in the process. "17'5 b33n 4 l0n6 71m3 51nc3 w3 l457 54w 34ch 07h3r! h0w 4r3 7h1n65? (It's been a long time since we last saw each other! How are things?)" He was quick to slip back into his 'native tongue', English far less preferable than l33t. Besides! It wasn't as if Meebus wouldn't understand him. In fact, he was the only one who did. It was one of the reasons why he considered him his friend.

Zak was typing at his computer, but paused when something pricked at the back of his mind. A moment later, he realized it was someone approaching, and lifted his gaze. He must have heard Apollo's footsteps or something, in his subconscious, and a wry smirk flickered over his face as he met the man's gaze. "Prevyet," he returned, closing his computer and sliding it down the table, "I prefer to stay busy." It was a bit nice, not having to worry about his accent here, though it almost felt unnatural at this point. He'd been so inconsistent on whether he was using it or not....
"What have you been up to?" he returned. He was aware he was somewhat subverting the question, but he didn't really care to answer it. Things had been complicated, and irritating, and they were exactly what he didn't want to think about. He wanted a distraction. Apollo was good at that. The man had a natural draw to his appearance; he really was gorgeous, and easy to get lost in. There were still thoughts, a tiredness tugging at the back of Zak's mind, but it was so much easier to push them aside with a pretty blond in front of him.
His own rotom, meanwhile, seemed to straighten from where he was with Boo, and turned as his friend approached, expression as neutral as ever. '.... Hello |20+0|/|,' he replied simply, at first. Boo jumped at the pokemon's quick approach and greeting, and quickly shied away, cooing softly. As the blond shook himself out of it, however, Zak lifted his head, expression returning to a more neutral look. "I see..." he replied quietly.
He quirked an eyebrow at the question of a question, resting an arm on the table, and giving a look to prompt the man. Not that he seemed to need it. Immediately at the name, Zak's eyes narrowed. He didn't try and hide the frown that showed on his face, either, and for a long moment, he was quiet, tapping his fingers on the table. "... And just why do you think I know zis 'Cyrus'?" he replied back smoothly, evading the question, for the time being.
Meebus looked at Rotom, blinking once. '.... That is good,' he observed simply. Zak smirked at Apollo's teasing, prodding question. "Take a guess," he replied simply, but by now, his tone was a bit more dry, and the atmosphere of the conversation was shifting. Or, in his opinion, souring. His expression gave it away to some extent, too, though it became more and more of a poker face as Apollo continued. At one point, he turned his attention to his watch, and it might have seemed like he was rudely ignoring the conversation, but he was going through his contacts. He stopped when Apollo mentioned trying to reach him, though, and looked up, expression flat again.
"... I have no idea vhere he is," he replied hollowly, "We aren't exactly close, as I'm sure he alluded to himself." His eyes narrowed, just a hair, before he relaxed, and looked away. "Please don't tell me he's ze only reason you vanted to meet up," he drawled out, sounding bored, and honestly disappointed. Seriously.... He was in a weird enough mood as it was. Having Cyrus be the subject of this meeting with such a beautiful blond was... Ugh. He was going to have to slug him next time he saw that pipsqueak...

There was another pause, and his appearance again quivered, before he added, '... I--' Or at least, started to. Boo had finally had enough, and, puffing up a bit, zoomed up, gently bumping up against Meebus, and nuzzling in close, staring defiantly at |20+0|/| . Meebus looked down at her, quiet a moment, before changing what he was going to say. 'This is Boo,' he introduced instead, sweeping his usual, blank gaze back to his friend.

Zak kept his gaze averted, not particularly caring to look at Apollo at the moment. He frowned more, almost in disapproval, or perhaps... discomfort, at Apollo's remark. That.... that was a bit cheesy, especially given the circumstances. His gaze slid over to give the man a bit of an unimpressed, judging look, though he obviously didn't mean it too seriously, given he turned to look at him a moment later. He folded his arms loosely on the table, leaning forward and looking at the man, offering up his attention, at least, though he still looked a bit put out by the way the conversation had gone.
At Apollo's initial question, his shoulders dropped, and he stared hard at the man. His natural response was to be smart about it, or maybe salty, but honestly... his final remark hit strong. Because really, he did want to occupy himself. He sighed, looking over at their pokemon, before placing his hands flat on the table, and pushing himself up. "Sure. Vat did you have in mind?" he prompted, placing his hands in his pockets as he stepped around the table and set Apollo with an even look. If he was going to come with such an agenda, and then go and suggest hanging out, Zak was going to make him at least come up with some suggestions on what to do.
A few, almost grateful sparks crackled through the air around Meebus when his friend actually greeted the other ghost pokemon. Boo blinked a bit, murmuring a small little sound, something like a greeting. Meebus kept his gaze on Rotom, however, remaining calm, even when the question is asked. 'No, I am fine,' he reiterated, 'I--' He stopped again, but this time, sparks began snapping at the air around him, and they carried more more weight than the ones a moment before. He blinked, remaining still as the static began to grow. Boo squeaked as one nearly hit her, and quickly backed up, eyes wide as an aura of electricity began growing around Meebus, frantic, though the pokemon's expression remained empty. The very air started to change, and charge, before there was a strike of electricity through him, culminating in the air, conducting through him, and into the ground. Immediately, the air was normal again. '.... I need to talk to you, |20+0|/|,' he stated, turning, and drifting further from Boo-- and their trainers. Never mind that whole.... everything.

Apollo snorted at Zak's reaction to his comment, though it was quickly followed by a sigh, "Sorry. That was bad." He wasn't going to pry -- because he and Zak certainly weren't that close -- but he was curious to know just what it was that was on the taller male's mind. Zak didn't seem the sort to let just the mention of one person throw him off, not that he was going to outright complain. Or... maybe he was. Apollo didn't know him that well. "Let me check what there's to do," he replied, and pulled out his communicator. He'd visited Icirrus City before, but it'd been so long ago he didn't know what was there for entertainment purposes.
He'd just managed to pull up an info page when he felt the hairs on the back of his neck stand up. Instinctively Apollo turned around, eyes dilating when he noticed their Rotom, though his worry laid in Zak's rather than his own. "...Does he do that often?" he questioned warily, turning back to face the trainer of said short-circuiting pokemon; at least, that was what it looked like to him. Eventually, he turned back to his original task, once things had calmed down. "There's exploring Dragonspiral Tower." Which, meant more walking. Oh Arceus. "We could also go swimming. And, if all else fails, I'm sure we can find a bar and hole up there,"[/color] he suggested.
|20+0|/| frowned at Meebus' insistence that he was fine. When he clearly, and most definitely, was not. That being said... he didn't know what to do. He'd never had this happen before, Meebus was good at remaining calm and collected, so what was protocol here? Did he keep pushing in the hopes that his friend would, eventually, give way? Or did he-- |20+0|/| blinked, coming out of his stupor, when the air began crackling with static, viciously and growing quickly -- and it all surrounded... "m33bu5 (Meebus?)?" This... this wasn't normal either, far from it in fact. Unsure of what to do, and his face turning white with panic, he'd just begun to formulate some sort of... action plan -- that may or may not have involved finding some sort of lightning rod -- when, just as suddenly as it had all began, it stopped. Zak raised eyebrow at Apollo's laugh, then gave a tilt of his head as his gaze slid away, as if to concede that, yes, it was bad. But... that was okay. He moved to stand up and waited for Apollo to come up with some ideas on what they could do to stay busy, half occupying himself by trying to peer over at the screen and see what he found, and half taking a moment to just observe the blond. Why wasn't he more easy going about this? Why couldn't he just push the topic from beforehand aside, and move on to more... enjoyable aspects? Why wasn't he motivated to even think about things they could 'do' together? He had never been this.... chaste in... ever! He had never felt this way. Not since puberty. That alone was enough to get him grinding his teeth together. What the hell had Meebus done to him with that stupid confession?
Zak was so pulled into his own thoughts, so stubborn in trying to ignore his own thoughts and focus on Apollo, that he didn't notice the change in the air. Not until the blond himself brought it up, at which point Zak straightened a moment, and then turned to follow his gaze. Oh. ".... Nyet," he replied in a low voice, brow stitched ever so slightly. 'What ze hell is wrong with you, Meebus,' he wondered silently, staring at the pokemon. Maybe he wasn't the only one messed up over this....
Turning his attention back to Apollo as the electricity dissipated, he tried not to think on it. He'd talk to Meebus later. The pokemon obviously had something on his mind. For now, though, he was going to try and just.... get away from all of that. He smirked some at the final suggestion, after having spun through the other in consideration. "A drink sounds good," he admitted, stepping up closer to Apollo, holding his gaze. He moved to step past him after a pause, though. "But a svim sounds better. Let's go," he agreed in his typical, lazy drawl, moving to head towards Dragonspiral Tower. After all, that was... on the ocean, right?
Meebus ignored his friends concern, and understandable confusion, as they moved away. Boo was left, startled and confused, where they had been, shaking slightly. The bespectacled rotom turned to his companion, expression empty as always. '.... Just listen.' It wasn't pleading, or demanding, but it was more than his usual monotone voice. It was a request. It sounded as simple as he ever said it, but there was the slightest lilt, the smallest drop in tone that softened it, ever so slightly. He remained still a moment, his visage wavering slightly, before he continued. '... Zakhav and Boo are very important to me,' he stated after a moment. It sounded, again, like a simple fact. He went quiet again, and though his expression gave away nothing, he was struggling for words. You could almost feel it. '... Y0u 4r3 4 600d fr13nd, |20+0|/|,' he added, appearance shimmering again, 'Y0u 4lw4y5 4r3.' He went quiet again, then added, 'W47ch 0u7 f0r D43v4,' before he seemed to lift up, as if taking a deep breath. 'Nothing is wrong. I'm sorry,' he finished, before moving to sweep up Boo, and follow their trainers.

It was certainly concerning to know that electrocuting the air wasn't normal for his Rotom, and in the back of his mind Apollo couldn't help but worry that |20+0|\/| was somehow at fault, but there wasn't much he could do. Not in suggestions or solutions. So, he'd have to leave it alone. It stopped shortly after anyway. "Why not go for both?" The bright-haired male suggested, eyes following after Zak's taller frame, before he turned around to fall into place beside him. "Unless you're crunched for time."

As much as he wanted his questions answered, |20+0|\/| grew silent the moment he was asked to, and leaned in worriedly. With how reactive he was, the Rotom couldn't help but to scrunch up his face when Meebus spoke of both Zak and Boo being important to him, but after several seconds his visage relaxed and he became... contemplative. If they were important to his only friend, it'd do him good to... at least tolerate them, like he did for Apollo. He could do that, for Meebus' sake at least. |20+0|\/| blinked, surprise visible, when Meebus began to speak in l33t. Only for his face to turn blue while he simultaneously began to blink rapidly; if he'd had hands, he would've started waving them in front of his eyes. Thankfully he didn't actually begin crying, though tears did p***k at his eyes, and he nodded his head rapidly, a warm feeling creeping in throughout his body that had nothing to do with the heat plug that was currently in his possession. "7h4nk y0u (Thank you)," he croaked, before clearing his throat. It was just -- if he thought about it too hard he'd start crying -- it was nice to have their friendship validated? Confirmed? It was... a great feeling, knowing that Meebus considered him to be a good friend. So choked up on emotion, |20+0|\/| didn't even bother to question Meebus on who 'Daeva' was, or why he should be wary of them, though he certainly made note of it, and happily followed after the other and the humans.

She shook her head, clearly displeased with how Vandal was pardoning his new trainer's actions -- though taking some responsibility for his actions, and acknowledging that he had no choice in his actions was a sign of maturity -- and eyed the illusion before her. "She should've been more understanding of the position you were in," Still though, as much as she could argue for Vandal, Mila knew that she didn't know the details of his history with his trainers, or him well enough for that matter, and so she chose to drop the conversation soon afterwards.

Zak was tossing Daeva's pokeball back and forth as he walked Icirrus. He was deciding who to use here; this was probably his worst case scenario as far as gym typing went, simply because a lot of his pokemon tended to be of the same type, and didn't dual into more useful typings. Thankfully, he did have some variety, and pokemon could learn moves outside their typings, so he wasn't totally screwed, but whether or not he wanted to have Daeva on his team again was... a matter of contention. When she evolved, she was.... Well he wasn't sure if she was disobedient or not, honestly. But it still resonated with him, much more than he would ever admit.
In the end, he had her on the team just in case, but planned to use just about everyone else before to get the job done. It shouldn't be that hard.... his pokemon were strong. He'd trained them well. And they were unquestionably obedient. He couldn't use his starter, but.... he had options.

Zak knew the battle would be challenging, but... arceus. He found himself staring in disbelief more often than not during its duration. This guy, Brycen... he was definitely prepared. Gym leaders didn't often have a lot of strategy to their pokemon, but this guy definitely did. That hailstorm had chipped away at his pokemon, his moves overcame type disadvantages... he even had a berry to reduce the damage of a quadruple weakness. In the end, Zak had to use Daeva, and even when he did....
The dragon ghost came out in a billowing form, towering on the battle field, but Brycen's weavile didn't even flinched. It hissed challengingly and brandished its claws, ready for battle. Daeva breathed out an eerie, crackling growl, her body lowering as her muscles tensed. She lurched back as the enemy lunged, but let out a furious growl as shadowy claws dug into her torso and ripped at her spiritual essence. She immediately retaliated with a flamethrower (as per Zak's demand, much to his, secret, relief), but was taken down immediately the next turn as he swapped tactics to revive Feraligatr. It didn't go unnoticed, though... as he pulled the pokeball and item out, Daeva's head snapped around, noticing the lack of command. Meeting her eyeless stare, he healed his other pokemon, and watched her collapse under the final attack of her opponent. There was a pause before he recalled her, and sent Feraligatr out, to finish the battle. This was.... not going to be as simple as his other battles, even after it was over....
