Jason was becoming exhausted from all the running around, but still pushed himself to his limits to keep everyone else fit and healthy. And since he did so well with Solia, he tried again with Harrison.
However, Harrison did not have the same shipping status as Solia had (Plus Rep was probably thinking bloody murder about now for the amount of times he had tried to touch him SERIOUSLY NO HOMO). Which was why all he got was a bandage before Jason was practically thrown through the air by the boss.
Fun tiems were not had.

Before Dakota could rush in for another strike, Ryan caught the taller moon by the arm and hastily wrapped a bandage around it.
"Don't get yourself killed knocked out in the process. You're too heavy to carry to the infirmary." It was true of course. Dakota was a friggin' giant.

Suddenly, Sempai with a bandage. Blinking as Deryk did so she watched him move away before smiling. "Thank you sempai!!!!!!" She yelled after him.
She didn't get much a chance to go right back to fighting as Jason caught her. And applied more bandages. And maybe felt her up.
She was okay with the first part, slightly confused with the second. She just began to shoot things, and stare at her boyfriend running around.
Shouldn't you help him? He'll be fine! .....you sure? Sure I'm sure. ......... Israfel was speechless.

The minipets were gone, and no Massacre in sight was enough to make his stomach twist in worry. Surely no one would have attacked him, surely he'd be all right. There was nothing he could do about it for the time being, rendered helpless by the demands of the task at hand, all he could do was resist the brutal AoE that this enormous shadowling was doing and get close enough to hack at it with a desperate swing.

Harrison's reaction was delayed.
"Hadn't...seen that before," he said.
Except he had. From another Rep, in another place, arms extended into long, dark claws...
"Rep..." he started to ask, but there wasn't much time for that either. He parried instead. Watching Rep work was always ******** amazing, and working alongside him- it didn't get better than that. But Harrison was suffering from a very Boss-like ache, and the viciousness and command of shadows wasn't helping.

"Me either." Rep admitted, leaping back to counter the shift in weight along the axe. He had been meaning to do the usual charge before, that brief breathless grasp at flight and being something more. The accidental alternative had been darker, the fear surging in his veins had tasted sweeter, and it had been familiar in a way he couldn't place. It might have startled him out of his fighting rhythm if it hadn't been for that residual feeling Tracey did that twisting shadowy strangeness all the time. "Did the job though." he said vaguely, as if waving off the fact he'd just done something he'd had next to no control over and treated it as normality.
He didn't need to look over at Harrison to address him, just knowing inherently when he'd be in earshot, when they'd be close enough to almost touch in the whirling attack and parry mingling of blades and axe. "Shoot." he said, casual as he could manage, it was just a monster, just life and death, just another day.

It wasn't the pain of the dying that stuck with him, it was the final, desperate plea not to go through it alone. For a hand to reach out of the darkness and save him. And if not save him, to hold on.

He remembered, he remembered more often honestly than he would like to. Saying yes to that other him had been an agreement with more small print than he had initially realised. "Aye. It's like having two lives." It was easy to tell what moments were his, realised in a richer sort of colour and intensity than the dream like distance of the other him, but it was always present. "You get used to it." he said gruffly and you did, but never entirely.
It was still hard to reconcile the mixture of dread and euphoria he felt at Harrison remembering, that other him would be delighted he knew, finally in some way returned to the Boss he'd lost. But he'd never really doubted, even in the dreams there'd been a confidence he envied, a man with so much momentum and drive his world seemed to bend to him like a parent with an indulgent child. He was pathetic in comparison, and some part of him worried that other Harrison and B0nez might enlighten his own to that fact, throwing his faults into much sharper clarity than they'd ever been.
Tracey said, focused entirely on the fight at hand, he didn't have time to muse on other things.

Harrison pressed B0nez's tip against Rep's side obediently. He squeezed the trigger, and the energy lancing up and down the blade charged into a single point.
"...A real long brunch."

"Sounds like a good ******** idea to me." Rep said, he was about ready to have a shower and crawl back into bed to start the day over again. But first there was the teeny issue of a rampaging shadow creature trying to trample HQ flat.
He was ready for the barrier this time, and as his vision suddenly tinged violent pink, his body screamed with power. For a few moments in time he was carrying the power of two charges and it felt as dangerous as it probably was. There was no option but to use his own charge, red electricity starting to spark from the runes along Tracey.
"This s**t is overclocking." he hissed through gritted teeth as he leapt into the attack, trailing pink and red, the two steps and the jump were easy and he felt like he went higher on wings of borrowed energy. He could taste something tinny and he didn't know if it was blood of electricity. He didn't care. As the momentun ran out he threw Tracey wide, doing a somersault in mid air that could have left him disorientated but instead gave him the force to come down to the ground spinning, the whum of Tracey's blade cutting through the air audible.
He hit the creature in a thud of combined energy and leapt back, once again desummoning Tracey to leap back, staggering to a stop beside Harrison, expecting gravity to collect on him as always with interest, but finding no pain at all.
He just laughed giddily, it was all he could do.

The strangely distorted minipets were gone; Jordan kept himself from thinking about what would happen if the ones he thought he'd recognized were really dead, because this day sucked enough already.
Instead he charged at the lumbering form of the giant shadowling. It moved more quickly than he was expecting it to, and Ferros clipped off the side of its claw instead of hitting solidly. Jordan growled with frustration.

The next blow landed harder. Was it his imagination, or had the creature staggered when he hit it again?

The giant shadowling might be getting tired, but Jordan was getting tired as well. Ferros barely touched the monster this time, but it was enough for him to feed, and he rumbled, the sense of heat filling to overflowing.
The shockwave of the monster's claws slamming down onto the ground made Jordan stumble, and he moved back hastily. They couldn't afford another swing at it if they wanted to stay standing.
