The call was heard, AJ turned to locate the owner of the voice when he saw a fluffy boil, nope, a boil with fluffy ears and tail.
He smiled, "I think you just need to hit them as hard as you can will do, my bro snapped on them and they vanished as black mist. Keep on your work, you are doing quite nicely!" AJ petted the head affectionately.

Danny was going to hit some more shadowlings, when she felt a tug on her sleep. Andrew? Andrew looked a bit scared. Ooooh. Cry baby bunting wanted help.
"Aw don't worry!" she said cheerfully, "I got your back, buddy." A look to AJ. "And uh ... buddy of a buddy!"
Danny stepped in front of the twosome and lit herself small walls of fire as the shadowlings approached, warding them off. "Well? Start punching!"

It was not expected. As a gentleman, he should protect the ladies rather than another way round. However, if a lady wanted to prove herself, a gentleman should not stop her.

With the added protection given from the female ghoul that Andrew had been hiding behind, who looked a little like her firey friend even, Maple took the opportunity to attempt another heal upon AJ.
Even though he still totally didn't reserve it for that comment. Really, he didn't.
Still. She might as well be a good friend and heal his ailments; he was still a little worse for wear than Andrew was (probably because he didn't cower behind someone, even though she really wanted to follow suit). The petite witch hoisted her broom again, swinging it almost like a bat this time to allow the healing spell to sail through the air and hit AJ.
Again, small. But something. The backlash she felt wasn't too kind as usual. "Aa ~"

Lizzy kept quiet as the students started to sass each other. At least, they sounded like they were trying to out-sass each other, or something along those lines; she had seen how sassing could actually lead to people bonding, instead of having the opposite effect, so some sassing couldn't be harmful, right?
"Lattice! It's good to see you again, after so long!" She smiled at the ghoul, although she knew that she couldn't see it; maybe she'll feel it? Hear it?
To be honest, she was quite relieved to see everyone more or less getting along; why fight each other when there's a hoard of shadow... Things to defeat? They just kept coming, even when she thought they were done. Noticing how the students in their little group of sorts were getting tired, she decided to heal Demi up... By giving him a pat on his head.
Because his ears reminded her of Mitsu's and so fluffy.
And then she got clawed by one of the shadowlings.

As Lizzy nursed her hand, glaring at the shadowling who had attacked her, she wondered if maybe, she should just fight back; as she was about to do so, she noticed another familiar face - someone she met a while ago - nearby, with another group of students. He looked like he could use some help, so she briefly abandoned her post and hurried over, putting her hand on his arm.
"Uh, you might not remember me, but you looked like you needed some help with heals," She was half-muttering as she concentrated, allowing a little bit of her fear to flow into the boil, hoping to bring him some relief. After that was done, she smiled sheepishly at him, nodded at his friends - oh hey Danny - and then skipped back off to rejoin her own group, "You guys might want to stick together with us! Safety in numbers, right?"

Diana nodded as Damien went back into the fray, happier that he seemed a bit better. However before she herself can join the fray she gets distracted once again by the fluffy tails as the other hell hound in the room came over. Diana bites her lip as she holds herself back from hugging those adorable tails swishing around in front of her. She knew that there was a time and place for such things and now would probably NOT be the best time. However their conversation, if you could call it that, was starting to get a bit funny. That is until she saw Fluffy2, as she had dubbed him, leave the room. She could not help the pout that came over her face as the adorable tail left her presence.
Then though one of the larger shadowlings got close to her and bit her, ripping through some of the fishnet on her left leg and drawing blood. With a hiss she uses her hand to swat it off of herself. "Great Hecate! How DARE you bite me you little beast!" she growls out at the creature in distaste and slight pain. She then tucks her wings further and spins her newly bandaged tail at the creature. Only to watch as the thing dodges and giggles at her attempt. Looking around to spot Damien, she smiles slightly to see that for the moment he is doing fine. However it was also this moment that she saw him. The new boil had entered the room and while she couldn't remember his name, she did know that this particular fluffyness was running for treasurer. At the sight of his waving tail though she couldn't keep back her strange urges any longer, she went over to him and grabbed his tail. She rubbed her cheek against it's soft fur and sighed before reluctantly letting it go. Then looking to the boil she had just randomly grabbed the tail of, she bit her lip and gave a sheepish grin. "Um.. sorry?" was all she could offer for her odd behavior.

Damien had realized it was a revolving door of canines in this place. While the forces of the enemy shadows were being driven back, they were still multiplying, it wasn't a clear victory yet. And the taller hound was moving out to another area, entrusting this place to him. It was a sign of confidence in his abilities that made him beam and forget about the squabble over food.
"Leave t to me." the green furred boil said in earnest as the boil retreated and in came.... good old thack.
Thack that was currently being attacked by Diana in hugs. Guess she made friends pretty fast, or the demon ghoul had a key that the other hellhound liked.
The sudden pat on the head by Lizzy was affectionate, as he tried to let it last and tilted his head in the direction, but all good things must come to an end.
There was no end in sight to the fights, defending the spider ghoul as she moved on to find other creeple in need of gentle touches. "NO ONE HURTS MISS ITSY BITSY!" he roared, knocking aside the naught shadow that manged to get a strike in.

Grateful for the numbers, Steffani stayed within the throng, swinging her purse at the offending shadows to try and ward them off. She landed a solid thwack on one of them, but they weren't falling as quickly as they had before.
And they were striking a jacking lot harder.
"I don't know how much more I can do this." Steffani said, grimacing as she shrunk into the group. She was already starting to feel exhausted, and it felt like it wasn't going to get easier any time soon.

Spider's ghoul's advice about sticking together we really unnecessary, Andrew wasn't going far from the wall of protection he found. Despite the earlier confusion at the well, he was still pretty sure Danny was half dragon in there somewhere.
He attempted another wave of fire at some near by shadowlings, but his aim was off. Probably because he didn't get close enough.

Safety in numbers, yes Maple could abide by that kind of thinking because then it was least likely that she could mess something up if others were around to do a better job. The ghoul stuck close to Andrew, the mysterious other flame demon and AJ as it was.
But then she noticed the patchwork from earlier seeming to struggle once again. If they needed the numbers, they needed to make sure no one fell - and oh as much as she sucked at this she pointed the bristles of her broom once more at Stefanni and let her FEAR channel and flow towards the other ghoul.

Steffani perked a bit at the jolt of FEAR, looking Maple's way and smiling. "Thanks." She said, straightening some and wielding her purse. The others seemed to have everything under control, but she wasn't sure for how long. She swung again when a shadowling came at her, taking the hit and... missing entirely. "Jack!" UGH. She shrunk back in with the group, wielding her purse in a defensive stance for now.

Siddie heard another ghoul's voice, sounding small and uncertain and in need of help. She swung around to look for the speaker, and discovered that it was a zombie ghoul she'd never met. Still, that was no reason not to help, and she hurried over to lay a hand lightly on the other ghoul's shoulder. "Here, are you okay?" The pull on her Fear shield was light, and she frowned a little - that hadn't done much good.
