Alkaid tumbled unceremoniously from the vent, falling with a thunk onto the cold, wet cement floor below. She grimaced as she pushed herself back up onto her feet - then noticed that they were finally all together again. Everyone that had 'drown', all of them, they were back!

She looked around for Hiro but, not seeing him, frowned and tried to concentrate on the mission at hand. There were three doorways - one open and two closed. She glanced at the decorative one and then towards the plain one - the first seemed too flashy to her, it drew too much attention.

She began to make her way to the plainer door on the right, but noticed the pale haired lieutenant had beaten her there. Just as well, if there were two keys already, she'd just save hers for later.

"Not to rush you lieutenant," she crossed her arms over her chest, feeling the weight of the key where it was hidden inside her long gloves, "but we need to get moving."

"Not to be a smartass, but," Bismuthite snarked back, "Let's take a little time to quickly form teams."

He obviously wasn't feeling the most kind or hospitable. He wanted to get in, get the captives, and get out. He'd had enough of this already. He felt they should be further along in the mission than,...than this! He was beginning to feel aggitated. ...Obviously.

Alkaid stared at Bis long and hard after he snapped at her, weighing her options. Then she finally just pushed pass him with a glower.

"We don't have time to stand around and play patty cake."

She dug into her glove and whipped out her own key, impatient and eager to get to the pulsing source of energy she knew to be Marthozite. Marth, who would be with Tanzanite.

She put her key in the lock of the plain door, twisted it, and flung it open. Without another word to anyone else (they could all stand and wait to make teams if they wanted) she simply stepped through the doorway.

Fluorite watched the exchange and sighed. This place was starting to get to them all...

They had to end it, then get the ******** out of there.

Wordlessly, she unlocked her own door, but took a careful look at what was on the other side before deciding if she ought to step in or not, unwilling to mimic the other lieutenant's mistake.

Alkaid opened the plain door to the right with her key. There was a narrow hallway inside, and then another door. Her key would not fit in the second lock, and the space was so tight that she had to crouch down on the ground and allow Bismuthite to crawl over her so that he could try his luck.

On the other side of the door, someone screamed.

To enter or not to enter? It was up to Bismuthite now.

Fluorite stood by the red door. Her key unlocked it. Unlike the other door, there was no tight hallway or second lock. There was only a foul stench. Something was wet on the floor beneath her feet. A light bulb flickered just ahead of her. A curtain was pulled hastily over one corner of the room. By the flickering of the light, she could see the outline of a shoulders and a chair.

What does she do?

The other Negas divided themselves swiftly, hanging back in the hallway for back-up. General Serandite led a few of the lieutenants back outside to support the cavalry. There were more senshi gathering -- they needed all the help they could get.

xxxxxMyalite was relieved to see such familiar faces after such a battle. She would admit that part way through, a little something in her had snapped. She was now utterly silent, not wanting to say anything more than would tarnish her reputation. As she examined the two doors, she thought, Two doors? What stupid chicanery. Some trap. But she agreed with the two more experienced negas. Splitting up was the best method of attacking the base.

xxxxxMyalite looked at her two options. The snarky, light haired one, or the one she had humiliatingly clung to. Well the purple haired one, Fluorite, was standing in front of a rather decorated door, marked with the symbol of the Blood Moon Court. That probably meant that the BMC senshis were hiding somewhere behind it. Myalite could care less about the prisoners. She just wanted to hit something with a tiara. With a flick of her hair she walked towards the left door and said, "Well then I choose this one, blondie."

(Thank you Akina. Just had to restart again.)

When he finally got to his feet, and calmed his racing nerves, he managed to head over to the two doors. "I think I'm following you." He said, hoping to have some luck by being in the others company.

She had not almost fallen, and she's almost attacked the other...but not almost been attacked herself. Maybe she had some sort of luck with her. Not to mention it seemed the other two were going together.

The scream. It was louder now. Urgency ceased whatever smart remarks might have come from the silver-haired lieutenant as he crawled over the senshi and quickly jammed his key into the door. Hell, even if it wasn't the right key, he was determined to make SOMETHING work! The screams... each time they just made his blood run cold and his heart beat rise...

There seemed to be no deadtrap on the other side.

Seemed.

"Be careful." She told Myalite. "There's no saying what's waiting on us here..."

She'd learned that much so far, at least, and Fluorite made her way inside, carefully.

Then she saw the curtain. The outline. It could be a trap.

Or it could be...

"Hello ?" She called out, carefully making her way toward it, card still at the ready. What could she do but take the risk ?

xxxxxMyalite nodded at the lieutenant's suggestion. There was no telling what was down these halls. Especially with the screams well ...

xxxxxMyalite shook the thoughts from her head. She was dedicated to doing this. She would do this. Instinctively she walked a little bit behind Fluorite to the left. They could cover more ground that way. No telling how much ground they would need.

xxxxxShe noticed the lone chair and the curtain, just sitting there, creepily. Myalite noticed that Fluorite already had her card out and ready. Her hand went immediately to her wrist, only to remember that she had thrown it at the eternal senshi. Concentrating deeply, Myalite pulled the bracelet out of her subspace.

xxxxxShe was ready.

Following behind the two females, the white haired male looked around them. "Could be a trap...lets hope it isn't." He whispered, keeping his voice soft. He didn't like games such as this, at least not when he felt an awful lot like the mouse in a maze.

Pulling out his paper clip, what a lovely weapon right? He prepared himself for whatever may come.

Proustite had a broken finger. It was swollen and purple and hurt like nothing he'd ever felt before. Despite this, he was feeling proud of himself. There was the starseed of an eternal senshi in his pocket. He had gotten revenge for his injured limb. Travel by vent was terribly slow. There was little space, and too many bodies--

But the views, considering everybody else had breasts, were totally worth it.

His mood was improving.

They were making progress. It was slow, but it was true. Eventually, the senshi's luck would run out, and the negaters would persevere by sheer force of will. He wasn't prepared to leave without the agents that they had come for.

Proustite was drawn to the right door by the sound of that wretched scream, and stepped, warily, into the hall behind Bismuthite.

Alkaid shifted and crouched to let Bismuthite crawl through the small hallway and over her to get to the door once she realized that her key would not open the next one.

She said nothing - she was on a mission and she simply wanted to get through with it. But then the screams started and a cold, chilling grip settled around her stomach.

She shifted a little, uneasily, and stood up as far as she could once Bis had passed. She glanced behind her as she felt the presence of Proustite, but her gaze was immediately back on the pale haired lieutenant and the door he was trying to open.

Who was there?

The right door opened to a simple cell. The door, heavy and thick with deadbolts, gave the clear impression that what it wanted out was meant to stay out, and what was kept was intended to stay in. In the center of the room was a sagging, limp form. Small even for his age, and hardly recognizable from the rather prudish, youthful looking teenager that Bismuthite knew as Wolframite. The upper half of his uniform has been burned, and where the two layers of dark fabric had been eaten away, burned skin showed underneath, traveling up one side of his neck, ear, and leaving half of his disgusted, mattered hair burned. Red, angry blistered had formed and his ear looked raw and chewed from the abuse. His eye patch was missing, as were his shoes. His face, bruised, swollen, and cut, left his rather smooth complexion discolored and misshapen. Despite what he had seen, the brief moment of silence and being unattended had left him with a small window to rest, and he had his eyes closed, looking more dead (and even decomposing), than alive. A heavy set of chains were wrapped tight about his body, and both arms hung limp by his side, one hand utterly useless with broken fingers, the broken bits discolored from days of neglect.

There was no sign of a guard. Eternal Alixa, who had been here to drag his chair after the murder of a fellow Nega, had left. He had heard some shouting and commotion, but had little idea what it all meant, his mind hardly able to complete a decent thought and not wanting to do much else. It was the blips of energy that had woken him up. The energy that had pulled him from his sleep and made him flutter his eyes open, and he listened, half afraid he was hallucinating and the other half worried those who came would die or be captured as well. IT came closer and closer, and at the creak of the door, he pulled his head up to look.

It wasn’t a pretty sight for Bismuthite and the others, but for Wolframite, he had all the pleasure of seeing a fresh set of faces that were not here to end him (as he had believed would be the end of his day). While his lips were cracked and caked with dry blood, he managed a simple, awkward. “Hey.” Long speeches were out of his realm at the moment.

When the chains were broken and Wolframite was given someone to lean on, nowhere near capable of walking out on his own, they group headed out of the cell. The Negaverse captain looked back at the chair he had been stuck in for what had seemed like an eternity and where he thought he would die, and looked ahead. Part of him hoped he wasn’t still sleeping of if he had died in that chair after all.

Together, the entire party left and headed out of the warehouse.

THE PLAIN DOOR TO THE RIGHT

Captain Wolframite had been saved!

Having achieved their objective, the rest of the party made a hasty exit out to the battlefield where their comrades were waiting for them.

THE RED DOOR TO THE LEFT

Fluorite, Myalite, and Kizakinite entered the room. The purple-haired Nega called out to the figure in the chair, but there was no answer. Possessed by an urge to know she pulled back the curtain. They had found one of the missing Negaverse lieutenants who had been abducted two weeks ago.

Lieutenant Helicase had tears plastered to his cheeks. His mouth hung open, locked in a scream. His arms were still tied behind the back of the chair, but most the fingers on his hands were missing. A smiley face had been carved into the bare flesh of his stomach. Half of his hair had been ripped out. Whatever pain he had endured, it was over now. That much was clear. The guardians of this boy had seen to his end.

He would never live to kill another civilian or senshi ever again; he would never live to do anything again.

On the wall behind the corpse of Lt. Helicase, there was a phrase written in blood:

THE DREAD SISTERS WERE HERE.

The mission to rescue Lt. Helicase had failed.
They were too late.

Left with nothing else to do, the remaining party members unchained his body from the chair and took him back to his family -- back to the Negaverse who waited outside for word.
