 Sepheran was out of breath by the time he made it to the right class. He had gotten himself a little bit lost...well it was the third classroom he went to today. Sepheran crossed his finger hoping that this was the real one. Liannan chuckled on his shoulder in her snake like way which only made Xeros, his Questing beast join in on the laughter. He flushed slightly...not exactly the way he wanted to start this class. He clutched the small bag of large crickets in his hand, a favorite of Xeros, reaching in he grabbed one throwing it at Xeros to get him to shut up as he walked in. He was already late though so he didn't have time to do much about it. Stepping through the door he looked around people already getting into groups. Jack...he was so late. He hoped he could still sign up. When Liannan mentioned a sign up sheet he quickly strode forward, Xeros slowly following behind him, and set to work signing his name. Well whatever happens happens.

 Christof was running once again- or rather limping as he dragged his leg after him, the heavy ball of Scruff clamped down on his ankle, but at least he had managed to get the dumb fat Scareon to come along to class finally. A bag of spare and mangled Parts tucked into his backpack as he managed to fling himself, late, into the classroom. Alright, alright he was here! He didn't like arriving late, but this time he had had a good excuse- or HE thought it was a good excuse. The dumb Scareon was being very difficult. Once again as he crept into the already-started classroom, he noted the students had been divided into groups already. But... but which should he join? There was Master Barth over there, and Mistress Riley over there and Master Malodore over there and.... he shifted, clutching his backpack while the scareon continued to gnaw on his ankle, thankfully shielded from it's dripping jaws by his boot.

NO MORE LATECOMERS BEYOND THIS POINT
Extension: You have until Tuesday, 22nd Feb, 3 days from now to finish rolling; remember, today is 19 Feb for me. TO MAKE IT EASIER, WHEN MINIPET SITE RESETS ON TUESDAY, I WILL LOCK ALL GROUP THREADS! After that, I'll have Malcolm go around and check the calculations for each group regardless of how many people posted in your group. Therefore, if you fail, you... Well, fail. >.>; If you get everyone to finish their rolls before then, you'll at least get the chance to reroll.
The cauldron drains itself if your group's mixture fails. >.> Causing you to have to try again.
Proxies: You can proxy for your friends if you know that they are busy IRL. However, if I catch them posting in other RPs during this time... >[ So yeah, if they can post for themselves, let them do it. If they are sick/bogged down by work/school/can't come online/etc, then please go and ahead and proxy the roll for them... They'll have to put in an RP response when they're free though.

[THIS ACTIVITY WILL BE DONE IN YOUR GROUP THREADS, NOT IN THIS THREAD. YOU HAVE A WEEK OR SO FROM THIS POST TO DO THIS, I WILL INFORM YOU WHEN YOU HAVE 48 HOURS LEFT.

Returning to his desk after he had inspected all of the groups' mixture, he placed Ayakashi down gently on the ground before giving the desk a good, loud slam to catch the students' attention. When he saw that most of their faces were turned towards him, he smiled, walking to stand behind his desk, "Most of you did well in the previous assignment. Now let us move on... From here on, its individual work. We are going to cook using the FEAR mixture. The small stove on your table doesn't use fire, so don't worry!"
He wasn't going to allow history to repeat itself.
As he spoke, he placed his saucepan on the stove and turned the knob to 'low heat' as he addressed the class, "Turn on your stove and set it to low heat. Then, I need you to scoop out enough mixture from the cauldron to fill up the measuring cup provided. The mixture is not hot, don't worry... Its actually rather cool and since all of you did well - except for that one group I had to redo it for - it will not stain your skin."
He removed the cloth off the tray on his desk, revealing a measuring cup with an orange mixture in it. Grabbing it, he poured its contents into the saucepan, "Use a spoon and keep stirring it... After this step, its completely up to you. Refer to the ingredients list on your tray. You need to put at least one sweetener, one binder - or two if you used water, an acid and the ingredient you brought to class. The rest of the ingredients are extra, to add scent or color."
He stayed silent as he grabbed container after container, stirring them into the mixture before adding some meat strips in, "Keep stirring until it resembles one of those, and is a milky white color. To test it, drip a spoonful into the water provided." He pointed at the whiteboard, where he had written a few things beforehand, "Call me when you're done. Have questions? Ask."
OOC/Whiteboard:
Task: Describe the process of your student making the Fear candy, and bold the ingredients + food used. Then, describe the finished Fear Candy (its shape, color, smell, hardness, etc.) and how it is received by your student's Minipet. After that, OOCly calculate the score of your Fear Candy using the guidelines below - this score is important because we'll be using it in the next class. 8D
Soft ball: 2 or less sweeteners used
A small amount of syrup dropped into water forms a soft, flexible ball, but flattens like a pancake after a few moments in your hand.
Firm ball: 3 to 4 sweeteners used
Forms a firm ball that will not flatten when removed from water, but remains malleable and will flatten when squeezed.
Hard ball: 5 and above sweeteners used
At this stage, the syrup will form thick, "ropy" threads as it drips from the spoon. The sugar concentration is rather high now, which means there’s less and less moisture in the sugar syrup. Syrup dropped into water may be formed into a hard ball which holds its shape on removal. The ball will be hard, but you can still change its shape by squashing it.
All three types will harden with airing, but to their respective hardness although it will no longer be able to be molded. You should be able to make about 15 to 20 Fear Candy per batch - make more if you are quick, but keep it consistent except for color. You may shape them to any shape you wish.

Hardness your Minipet is neutral with: + 0
Hardness your Minipet likes: + 1

Also, Malcolm is tricky; he did not tell the students that there is a sort of ratio to achieving the perfect consistency of the different balls. If your student has background in cooking, go ahead and make your batch perfect. ;D Perfect batches are worth +2.

Firm Ball: 4 Sweetener: 2 Binders (3 if water used): 1 Acid
Hard Ball: All 6 Sweeteners: 2 Binders (4 if water used): 2 Acids
If you draw out your Fear Candy (even if its a MS Paint doodle): +2
Total Score: You can go into a negative number!
