Messiah Hope Summers
Suddenly thoughts of the food lingering before her completely disappeared from her mind. She heard a voice. It was unlike any voice she's ever heard. So regal...so intelligent... Hope turned her head back to the musician only to find his brilliant eyes upon her. Breath caught in her throat. They were enticing her, drawing her back in. It felt like playing with fire; so much fun but so dangerous to do.

I...I do. She stammered in her thoughts, with her wide eyes locked on his. Her entire body was facing him now and she could feel a tug from Kurt on her arm, but her mind was completely engulfed with this stranger. There’s always more questions than answers...

Yes. They do. Constantly. Her mind spoke back to his as she took an uneasy step forward. The crowd had gathered and many people stood between them. With a wave of her hand and a slight mental nudge, it was like the sea of bodies parted, creating a clear path from her to him. Always don't do this, don't do that. Mutant Messiah this, Mutant Messiah that. It didn't dawn on her that she just outted herself to a complete stranger. I want to know everything. I want to know how to play the way you do. I want to learn why the sky is blue. I want to not feel like people fear me and I should be handled with kid gloves.

Taking another step forward, I want to have fun, live like there's no tomorrow. I want to fall in love. I want to know who I am and what I'm here to do.

Frustrated by her thoughts, Hope brought her hands up to her head and they lingered entwined in her hair. Her eyes felt like they were burning and when she brought her eyes back to him, they literately were. I want to make my own mistakes. Drive a car that isn't hotwired. Worry about purses and outfits and my hair. I want to be free...like you.

Magneto, while holding his daughter, Lorna within his arms, turned his head towards the young lady with red hair. The hair and eyes that burned like fire. The smile remained as he spoke again towards her.

"So they cage you, lock you up."
"Throw away the key, because they say you're precious..."
"So fragile... something that should be kept locked away for all eternity."
"Why?"
"Because they fear you."
"They fear the awesome abilities that you have."
"And when people fear you? Then shun you."
"Jealousy starts to sink in, because they are envious of what you have and what they do not!"
"So they, take that shining light from you!"
"Your unique life light!"
"Throw you into the darkness."
"Give you excuses! One after another!"
"Leaving you there, ALONE in the darkness!"
"To defend yourself - with no helping hand to guide you."
"No support system, nothing."
"They don't even consider listening to you, when you want others to hear your voice."
"To hear your bleeding heart."
"To hear your needs! Your wants! Your desires!"
"Why do they ignore you?"
"Because they FEAR what they do not understand!"

"They fear, the powers that you reign, child."
"A child, who is growing into a beautiful young lady."
"Who has so much to give, so much love to share."
"So much power, that they try to shield your thoughts!"
"Tell you that it's dangerous for you to venture out!"
"That if you were to venture out you would only do harm!"
"They will not let you live your life, because they FEAR that you will do more harm than good!"
"They have explained to you the dangers of leaving the safe haven."
"That if you leave, you not only place yourself in danger but others as well."
"You nothing but a danger to society!"

"When in your heart, body, mind and soul!"
"You know for a fact that's not true."

"You're innocent! You've done nothing wrong."
"Yet, they still tell you, forcibly, you must stay here!"
"You must obey! You must, you must! Why?"

"Because you'll do nothing but cause harm!"
"By accidentally releasing your powers!"

(Note**This may have triggered an event that occurred recently with Hope at Hellfire club with Emma Frost. When there was this sudden burst of energy emitting from Hope without warning.)

All the while Erik spoke in his mind, you could hear the increase of his voice, raising, as he expressed what he saw in the innocent mind of a child, who's not had that much of a life.

His mind's voice relaxed, returning back to the calming, soothing rivers of relaxation. No signs of tension or stress apparent. On the outside, Erik still had the friendly smile he had shared with the girl, earlier. No change, no shift, everything just the way it was. Normal, friendly communication.

"May I ask... am I wrong? Mistaken? If so, I do thoroughly apologize." Bowing his head not only in his mind, but in the present as well. Showing he is humbly sorry for interfering with the young lady's thoughts. That he is just an old man, who saw a light in a young girl's eyes that was slowly starting to be placed out. Due to all the restrictions being placed onto her. Snuffing out that flame that demands to be released from those binding chains called life.

Kurt felt her pulling away, and began to grow Angry. Not at her. At Magneto. He must have been filing her head with thoughts and un-true accusations. He could not be to sure, but whatever he was saying, was drawing her in. He Yanked her back, now a wild glare resting upon Magneto. He could not control the Snarl that ripped from his throat. He only partially cared about the people around him.

" Magneto. " He called, well above the crowd. " If you even think about touching her I vill Kill you. " He was forced to be harsh, the German accent making the ferocity seem stronger. He usually would have never threatened someone like that. His family was in danger though, and he would protect it no matter the cost. He did not care if people around him saw what he was. That was not a big deal, compared to losing his Loved ones.

Magneto's eyes shifted towards the blue demon man, who dared threaten him. He couldn't help but allow a laugh to escape his lips. Tilting his head slightly to the right, as he had the girl known as 'Hope' standing before him now. As he was sharing a casual conversation with her. While his own blood was sitting beside him. He was no fool, he was not going to place harm upon her.

His eyes however, did lift towards the sky as he saw an unsettling event slowly about to unfold. His silver blue eyes sealed shut for a moment as he diverted off several robotic beings that flew through the air at a blinding light. "Pardon me my dear." Erik stated towards Hope. Looking directly towards Nightcrawler, as he went into a different language perhaps the blue demon could understand, "Mein lieber Freund....die einzige Sache dass Sie sollten haben Sie vor Angst. Sind das Metall Vögel, die in den Himmel fliegen."

[[ **Deutsch translation : My dear friend, the only thing that you should be afraid of. Are the metal birds flying in the sky. = Meaning that there are Sentinels scouting the park currently. ]]

When Nightcrawler pulled her back, she turned to him jerking her arm free. When she faced him, her red hair flew in front of her eyes, slightly jailing the fire in them. "No!" She stated, sending a pulse our from around her; the same kind that threw Emma over in the Hellfire club but slightly not as strong. Humans around her were knocked over along with her heavenly hot dog cart. No one was threatening her, at least in her mind. She just needed to break free from the shell she was living in. Hope turned back to the stranger while people began staring at her.

Her mouth fell open and the fire subsided in her eyes. No. You...wow. She sighed. It's as if you read my soul. She began walking towards him quicker through the open path. Who are you? Hope's feet began to move faster and her heart was racing.

Magneto lifted his head back up to where Hope could see who he was. No evil smile, just a friendly one. Showing her the face that looks like everyone else's just aged finely. Like wine. Wine is good when it's aged. Only after, a long amount of time has passed. Will you truly know the taste, the history of everything that was placed so hard into that one bottle of fine wine.

As Hope got within a few feet of where he sat. He slowly slipped his arm away from Lorna as he got up, before the young lady. Bowing towards her in the up most respect, as if she was a princess. "I am, Erik Lehnsherr... known to others as Magneto." He looked up through his long white hair, that had fallen down against his face. As he stood back upright, he reached out with a gentleness towards the young girl's hand. With a 'may I' expression?

Hope nodded her head, lifting her hand to his. "Magneto?" She said slowly for the first time, with her wide eyes traveling up his chest to his face. He loomed over her with his tall, commanding stature. "I-I'm Hope." It felt like she was dreaming, which seemed to happen a lot as of late... heart "I don't have a cool nickname or anything..." She looked away slightly embarrassed, red rushing to her cheeks. "You..." She couldn't explain it. "You know so much...how?" She wanted to learn from him. Anything he was willing to teach. He seemed elegant, reformed, and rich with culture. The X-Men seemed rag-tag compared to him. Powerful, but they were a motly (awesome) crew. Everyone hovered around her, she felt as if he would set her free somehow.

Erik smiled towards the young lady before him, as he placed a gentle kiss along the backside of her hand. Out of respect. His actions no doubt, would more than likely upset not only Nightcrawler, but perhaps the rest of the X-Men as well?

The kiss was gentle, soft, filled with affection towards the young lady. Standing back upright, he gave a simple nod of his head, "M'lady Hope, it is. Such a fine spirit does not need a nick name."

"You remind me of someone... that I met long, long ago." Slowly releasing her hand, as his went back down to his side. He couldn't help but crack a smile at the comment "You know so much...how?"

"I only know so much, because I've been walking this planet for a very long time, my dear." The thick British and German accent rolled off his tongue as he spoke calmly, still in that friendly conversational matter. Magneto watched as the crowd of people started to get angry, and mob like. More than likely from her innocent actions just a few moments ago.

He did not want to fight. Nor was he going to allow a fight to break out. Lifting up two fingers to his left temple, he concentrated on the internal metals within the individuals blood streams that were not involved with him or their gathering currently. The X-Men would not be harmed either. Then again, he wasn't harming anyone, merely giving them a sense of low iron, and that they felt very tired, or quite possibly. Hungry. His eyes focused on the crowds as they slowly dispersed from the area, more than likely heading towards restaurants to eat or home to rest at.

For if those Sentinels returned, he did not want lots of blood shed here from innocent bystanders. Magneto would do everything in his power, to prevent those imbecile robots from attacking anyone still remaining in the park, where they all now stood. Turning his head to the side, as a few vertebre popped in and out of alignment, "Now then, where were we...? Ah yes.. what was it that you wanted to ask me, M'lady Hope?" The fingers that had been at his temple, now moved several of the metal benches closer for all to take a seat upon, if they so wanted to do so.

X-man Polaris
She flushed a bright red and ducked her head with happiness, beaming up at him from beneath the locks of the brown wig. But that smile stiffened as she heard what he asked her to tell him. She shifted uncomfortably in her seat, "There.....there are people.....over there" her eyes flicked to where Cable, Domino, formerly Hope and Nightcrawler were standing. "They're.....um....they're talking about us....more specifically....you." She had seen it far too often in highschool and more than often been the target of the gatherings of gossiping cliques, to not recognize the poses, fleeting glances, and the subtle gestures of people talking about others unkindly. She ducked her head again and her hand tightened around his. She didn't know who they were or what they wanted but she wasn't going to be shy about defending the only person who seemed to truly care about her.
She tensed further as the little girl came over. Currents of energy were crackling along her skin and metal objects began to vibrate slightly as the girl spoke.
Quote:
"I don't really like insulting someone's intelligence by lying to them. I hear you are a bad person, a great enemy to the team I seem to have been recruited to, and I suppose there must be some truth to at least some of your acts, as I have seen at least one dead man standing behind you with an accusing stare. Never a good sign. Yet, your soul does not feel like that of someone, who could really be as evil as you are described. Dangerous, certainly, but dangerous is not always evil.To each their own, I do not truly care about your past actions. What I am curious about right now is, if you are indeed to become an enemy as is suggested, I would like to know why. I do not take things at face value, and if I see no true reason to fight someone, I am not going to do it simply because someone else told me to. So far I do not have actions to base a judgment on, so I am beginning instead with words, I will hear what each side has to say on the matter, before I make a choice. When actions present themselves, which always speak louder than words, then I will make a decision on those as well."

Her jaw clenched and her eyes sparked with anger at the insinuations against her father figure. She didn't particularly care if people spoke badly about her...after all was expected for them to disparage a freak like her...but not Mr. Lensherr. Not the kind old man who had taken her in, shown her control, and above all the gentle kindness of a father. The humans of the crowd were looking a bit askance at the name Magneto, heck even she'd heard it before but there was no way Mr. Lensherr had any connection to that monstrous mutant. In her anger that mid western drawl came out as she finally spoke in complete uninterrupted sentences. "Best watch yer words girlie. I don't know who ya are but we're decent folk who just wanted ta give a bit a music ta the nice folks here in tha Big Apple. My daddy ain't got no connection ta that Magkneeto fella so I suggest ya jest be movin on ya hear?" The metal around them began to hum faster and draw closer to the mousy girl sitting on the piano bench beside the older man with the cultured accent. Even the hairs of the wig were picking up on the electromagnetic current and began lifting up in the air slightly.

Erik then turned his attention to Lorna who shifted uneasy in her seating arrangement.
"There.....there are people.....over there" His eyes diverted away from her momentarily over towards where she suggested. Towards where Cable, Domino, Hope and Nightcrawler were standing. "Go on, Lorna, I'm listening. What else?"
"They're.....um....they're talking about us....more specifically....you." His eyes stayed locked on the X-Men members present before them, unbeknown that they were now standing at least a hundred feet away from where they once were only a few feet from where he had been playing earlier. Nodding his head slowly, he smiled towards Lorna. Wrapping his right arm around her figure as she leaned in against him. Allowing her to grip his hand as hard as she wanted to do so. The smile remained.

Erik was thrilled to know that both Lorna and Cal had made wonderful observations. Kudos for the both of them. He was about to say something when his attention shifted now back towards the young girl, as Lorna disapproved of how Zephyr was questioning him.

Feeling the energy starting to crackle along Lorna, Erik raised up his right hand, very delicately brushing some of the brown locks of hair away from her face. As he leaned in placing a soothing kiss against her forehead, while whispering towards her ear, his voice was calm, tender and reassuring. "Lorna... my dear. Calm down... she's not worth it. Just relax, words can and do harm. I realize that. It's the physical actions that concern me, my dear. Just relax..."

His cheek was now resting against the side of Lorna's head, "I won't allow anyone to hurt you." Placing a gentle kiss along side those hidden green locks of hair, Lorna was so desperately trying to hide from the rest of the world. He admired her fire, that burned within her. He also was glad to know that Lorna was there, not just as one of his students, but there as a family member. Who'd protect him.

Lorna, strong of a character that she is, needs to let this rage filled energy go. At least for the time being. The so called innocent minds, of ignorant fools standing around them. Had no idea just whom they would be messing with if they even considered to cause havoc with him and his family present.

User Image
Zephyr's gaze followed the gentle brush off of hair. The girl had called him father, hadn't she? For only a moment, her eyes narrowed at the girl, for only a moment losing the calm. Parents, who needed such useless things? Her tiny hands gripped into fists for just a moment without her realizing it, and she shook her head, the voices beginning to stir. They liked to stir, any time a single thought of doubt came into her mind. They grew louder, whispering confirmations to the secrets.
"Shut up!" she hissed at them once more, the pesky things so seldom listening. She didn't have time for this, they needed to go away! Her eye gave a twitch as she focused on trying to calm down the invading voices, the ones that did not belong to begin with, eye staring past everything that was there as she focused.

Eventually, the voices receded, and she let out the breath she had been holding, looking over to Hope to see that she was getting along and not wanting to fight either. She smiled.
"You don't want to fight either do yah?" she smiled brightly to Hope, standing and brushing off her dress. She wanted to try the piano, her eyes falling on it, but figured she should be polite and wait until Hope asked her question, turning back to the conversation with a smile, though she wasn't sure how involved she actually was in it, her mind always seemed to be elsewhere.

It was more of a statement than a question.

Cal nodded once. "Yes, I think it will." She caught her lower lip between her teeth and blinked slowly down at the group of mutants that had accumulated in the park. How ironic was it was that, though some tensions were admittedly somewhat high, this was the longest that the opposing forces had been together without serious conflict. She was a little curious about the young girl - Zephyr? - and how much she tended to chatter, but then, not everyone could be as anti-social as she was.

Cal sat up on the branch and dangled her legs into space, flexing her toes. It felt strange, but she was more at home now than she had been since leaving Ireland. Strange, since the Zodiac had been the most eclectic combination of girls in the world. Six American girls in a large, Irish mansion while the owners were traveling the world. How far she'd come since then. From the awkward, gangly teenager with acne and oily hair to the beautiful young woman who knew herself better than she'd ever thought possible.

"Erik, now that you've finished with your concert, I don't suppose I could steal you away for a while?"

After dispersing the rest of the humans off in a safer distance, he returned his gaze back over towards Cal. Holding out his hand for her, "Please join us Cal." The palm of his aged hand reached for Cal's hand, his calm and patient expression hoped it would extend out towards Cal momentarily. For if she came to him, he would gently take a hold of Cal's hand, delicately within his. Cupping both of his hands along either side of her single right hand within his hands.

His eyes sought out hers, as he spoke to where only Cal could hear him. "Sit here for a while... just for a little while, Cal... and then you and I.. can talk, can sing, can play romantic music until the sun sets for another day." Erik's voice was calm, serene and sincere. Pulling up her hand gently, as he kept constant eye contact with her green eyes. He wasn't going to force Cal to stay, he wanted her to do what she wanted to do. He only hoped that she would stay, when he was done with the conversations taking place currently. They could have their alone time soon enough. Gently kissing the backside of Cal's hand.

Hope turned her head to the side in a quizzical manner. "Who?"

"A young girl, who you may know... known as Jean Grey. You look just like her. I met her when she was very young, and had no way of controlling her powers as of yet. Charles Xavier and myself went to visit her, when her parents were concerned about the usages of extreme differences in their daughter."

"They feared what they did not understand, thus, they contacted the both of us, when Charles Xavier was opening up a school for the gifted and talented children out there. Meaning mutants with extraordinary powers."

Erik could not help but smile towards her, knowing that she must have had a million questions to ask. Nodding his head at her, "Take all the time that you need. I am here at your disposal M'lady Hope." His eyes diverted just briefly away from where she sat, seeing that others were now approaching the small seated gathering. The smile still so ever present, there was nothing evil about the smile. This was neutral grounds. For the time being. Magneto was not going to be the one to throw the first punch, it would have to be one of the X-Men to start something.

Cal nodded slowly, taking a seat by his side. She'd left her shoes and bag on the ground near the tree, where they were still in sight. She smiled reassuringly at Hope and brushed back a length of brown hair that had escaped her ponytail. The layers in her hair made it a daily occurrence, but she didn't mind since wearing her hair up wasn't something she did on a regular basis. Only when the wind was blowing.

Leaving her hand in Erik's, she tipped her head toward hope, gesturing him with her eyes to continue on the conversation.

Erik turned his attention towards Cal who now joined, which he was forever grateful that she did. Kissing the backside of her hand once again, as he spoke towards her. "Thank you my dear, you look absolutely stunning in those shades of blue." Keeping his lips pressed gently against Cal's hand. The only thing she could see where his silver blue eyes for a brief time.

Nodding his head towards Cal as he kept his hand within hers. Looking over to the side where Lorna sat, placing his hand down against the bench he was sitting at. Hoping that Lorna too would join in on the conversation. Being social was nice, especially when the company was nice as well.

Diverting his attention from the girls along either side of him, Erik returned his attention towards Hope. "The music, you asked about it."

"I learned by hearing it. I could memorize the sounds the piano."
Gesturing with his fingers as a few of the keys played a simple tune as in 'chop sticks' Chop Sticks played a LARGE piano lol

"So you forcibly grab, the lady Hope?" Calm as he was, to Cable's mocking tone, he did not threaten the man, nor did he make any such moves. Waiting for Hope to decide on what she wanted to do.

"Force her to leave, when she feels safe?" Perhaps that may have sounded as a challenge, when it was not. Remaining in place, Magneto frowned at Cable. Looking at Cable who was roughly handling Hope, which Erik was not liking one damn bit. He would not intrude on family affairs, too much baggage to deal with. He was sure that Hope would more than likely have an outburst to Cable's actions. Only time would tell.

Kurt had now been Standing beside Cable, trying to Pry Hope from Magneto's Lies. He knew the warning that was given to him, but the birds gave him no sort of Scare.
