ll - Boomie - ll "Ahahaha! Datto, you're so clumsy!" she said between laughs. "I can't believe you managed to trip like that!" she said before realizing she had just laughed at Datto. Sora's face flushed and she covered her mouth with her hand. "I have to go now. Try to keep the house in one piece?" Kyoko said with a chuckle, referring to Datto's accident. With that said, kyoko got up and washed her bowl and headed to the door with the box of onigiri. "That's the first time she's laughed for real..." Kyoko mumbled under her breath as she left. "Sorry, Datto." Sora apologized with a sheepish look before sitting up and taking the hand that was burned by the ruby. "You burned your hand." she said with a frown as she brushed her finger tips over it gently. "Wait here."Sora said as she got up and headed to a back room before returning with a small bottle. "This should make it better." she said as she took Datto's burned hand and used her free hand to open the bottle and take a bit of the healing salve onto her finger before gently rubbing it onto his injury. "You shouldn't have grabbed it." Sora said as she finished putting the ointment on it. You should learn to control your power. Then he wouldn't have gotten burned...Sora's head shot up slightly at the female voice. "I think I'm going insane..." she mumbled in a defeated tone before smiling at Datto. "Does it feel better?" Sora asked as she blew on it slightly in hopes of making it feel better. "It feels better just from you helping" Datto blushed but looked worryingly at the hole in the floor and the burn on his hand. What was that about? I shouldn't be able to do that.
No it was only you panicking and losing balance again. I shouldn't happen again, and I have a feeling that stone might be an anomaly.
Why's that?
You should not be able access my power like that. It is a very dangerous and very unstable to handle our power. Once you actually use me for the first time, your drawing on me like that should cease. Also it hurts you and I when you do it so you really should not anymore.
I'm very sorry. I'll wait until I can train with you to use your power again"So what now? Wanna go on our date?" Datto blushed fiercely again at the fact that this beautiful girl was going on a date with him.

Yuu sighed figuring that he was probably over reacting and that Rangiku and Hikari were not doing what it looked like. Rubbing the back of his neck for a second he silently decided to go back in there and apologize. So he turned around and without looking walked forward into Rangiku who had been coming out to explain things. Without warning they both toppled over from the force of the collision with them landing on top each other before Yuu quickly rolled off. Yuu closed his eyes and sighed then cleared his throat. "Sorry Rangiku-fukutaicho. I guess I should watch where I am going. Sorry for a few minutes ago as well I admit initially I thought it was what it looked like then I thought about it. With how much Hikari-Fukutaicho and Tsurabisu-san care about each other she wouldn't do something like that. So please forgive me." His face turned a light pink that was barely noticeable as he sat up then quickly tried to change the subject. "How's Hikari-Fukutaicho doing anyway?"

Yuu looked away from Rangiku as she sat up giggling and his face turned a deeper pink. Then she spoke up and decided to go along with his change of subject which was a relief and allowed him to wipe the blush from his face so he could turn to face her again. "Of course not Rangiku-Fukutaicho. Your a wonderful person and I couldn't think badly of you for very long. She is? Well I suppose that's for the best we don't head back right away anyway. She keeps calling for him? Yeah you probably should tell him then. You know how Tsurabisu-san can get when it comes to Hikari-Fukutaicho..." Yuu looked at Rangiku as she stood up and did the same brushing himself off momentarily. "It's possibly a bad dream I suppose. Yeah I am heading back today. So you will be staying here then? ll - Boomie - ll "You were real." Sora said with a smile. "The other guys always put up a front. They never acted like themselves. But, you did. That's why". she said as she walked over to Datto and hooked her arm with his (the uninjured one). "Well, let's go on that date before it gets late." Sora sang happily as she pulled Datto out the cabin and down a dirt road that lead out of the forest and into the streets of Rukongai (spelled wrong I'm sure). Datto smiled and blushed as she answered his question. Then she drug him out of the cabin. As they departed he gave her mother a wave goodbye. When they reached the Rukongai and entered deeper into it's midst Datto started to put his guard up. There wasn't usually trouble in the sections closest to the Seireitie but one could never be to careful. As they walked Datto heard a voice calling his name. He turned toward the voice and tried to tell where it was coming from. He scanned the horizon but didn't see anyone. Suddenly there was a sharp pain in his shin. As he looked down to see what caused the pain he saw a little girl with long purple hair and a pouting face looking up at him. "Datto-san you big meanie! Why were you ignoring me? Don't you remember me?"Datto decided to play with her a little bit. "Why who are you little girl? I think I would remember such a cute little girl." "You're a big dummy, you know that?!" She started to tear up. Datto knelt down and gave her a hug. "Ah don't cry Kirie. I was only teasing. There now no crying ok?" From the house behind him emerged a tall lady with long flowing auburn hair. She was wearing an apron and had four children hiding behind her. "About time you came home Datto. How has the Soul Academy been treating you?"

He's such a shy boy, but he is such a kind soul."When she departed from the children they all ran and tackled Datto. They showered him with hugs and kisses and playful fighting. Datto pretended to be fighting them off. Miranda turned her view towards them. "The other children just adore him so. To them, he is their own personal guardian angel."She turned back to Sora, "If you've been with him for any period of time you'll know that he is quite strong and also quite clumsy, but with the kids he is nothing more than a big teddy bear."As she said this Datto was overtaken and swarmed by the other children.

When she walked, she was so graceful that she seemed to float across the very ground she tread. "I am pleased to meet you dear, my name is Miranda. So you must be friends with my son Datto. He's such a shy boy, but he is such a kind soul."When she departed from the children they all ran and tackled Datto. They showered him with hugs and kisses and playful fighting. Datto pretended to be fighting them off. Miranda turned her view towards them. "The other children just adore him so. To them, he is their own personal guardian angel."She turned back to Sora, "If you've been with him for any period of time you'll know that he is quite strong and also quite clumsy, but with the kids he is nothing more than a big teddy bear."As she said this Datto was overtaken and swarmed by the other children. Sora giggled as she watched Datto become the kid's teddy bear. "I've seen the clumsy side. I have yet to see the strong though, but I'm sure he is." she said with a smile as she looked at Miranda. "He is a great big teddy bear though!" she teased as she giggled at Datto. "But, I'm a little jealous...I never had a brother or sister. I was the only child." Sora said sadly before smiling brightly. Her eyes were full of remembrance as she watched Datto helping Kirie onto his shoulders while the other kids begged to be picked up too. "He proved how much we meant to him when we where being harassed by a local gang. They thought we owed them money and we wouldn't pay them so they decided to take matters into their own hands." Her cheeks were flaring with color and her eyes were as fire as she spoke, "We sent Kirie out back to get some water and they ambushed her. She screamed so they knocked her unconscious. As they tried to escape with her Datto came flying out of the house with nothing but his bare hands. We watched from the window as his anger flared and the terrain began to change. If we hadn't kept them from watching it would have probably scared the young ones. Everything was changing, the trees, the earth and even the air. Then he sprung forward and took every single one of those thugs out. The one holding Kirie tried to use her for a hostage, but Datto disappeared and reappeared behind him and took him down and scoop Kirie from him in one swoop. That's why she missed him the most. She doesn't know how, but she knows he risked himself to save her, and from then on she didn't leave his side until the Soul Academy recruited him. Excuse me I seemed to have started to tear up." Miranda wiped the moisture from her eyes with her apron and continued to watch Datto and the children play while Kirie sat on his shoulders.

But, you did. That's why". she said as she walked over to Datto and hooked her arm with his (the uninjured one). "Well, let's go on that date before it gets late." Sora sang happily as she pulled Datto out the cabin and down a dirt road that lead out of the forest and into the streets of Rukongai (spelled wrong I'm sure). Datto smiled and blushed as she answered his question. Then she drug him out of the cabin. As they departed he gave her mother a wave goodbye. When they reached the Rukongai and entered deeper into it's midst Datto started to put his guard up. There wasn't usually trouble in the sections closest to the Seireitie but one could never be to careful. As they walked Datto heard a voice calling his name. He turned toward the voice and tried to tell where it was coming from. He scanned the horizon but didn't see anyone. Suddenly there was a sharp pain in his shin. As he looked down to see what caused the pain he saw a little girl with long purple hair and a pouting face looking up at him. "Datto-san you big meanie! Why were you ignoring me? Don't you remember me?"Datto decided to play with her a little bit. "Why who are you little girl? I think I would remember such a cute little girl." "You're a big dummy, you know that?!" She started to tear up. Datto knelt down and gave her a hug. "Ah don't cry Kirie. I was only teasing. There now no crying ok?" From the house behind him emerged a tall lady with long flowing auburn hair. She was wearing an apron and had four children hiding behind her. "About time you came home Datto. How has the Soul Academy been treating you?""So pretty..." Sora whispered breathlessly before blushing and looking down. "H-hello, I'm Sora Asakura." she said with a deep bow before lifting back up slowly, not looking at the pretty older lady. She smiled at one of the kids hidden behind her before looking to the side for a moment or two before looking at everyone with a smile. "It's a pleasure to meet you." Sora said happily, regaining her confidence. Datto was close enough that he heard Sora whispering. At her comment about his foster mom Datto smiled. ll - Boomie - ll Sora couldn't say anything. She just watched Datto play with the young girl named Kirie. For some odd reason, Sora felt like a burden. Datto looked like he was enjoying himself and she felt that he should be here with his family instead of her. She felt guilty. With a small sigh, she let a small smile cross her face so others didn't see her guilt. "I'm really surprised...I never thought of Datto to be like that. But, even those who seem weak will turn the tables and fight when pushed." Sora said with a smile to Miranda. "Not that Datto is weak. Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses." she added as she turned back to watching Datto and the children. "Datto is fortunate to have someone like you." Sora said quietly. Miranda looked Sora with a knowing look. "I saw you two holding hands as you walked by. I can tell he likes you, just from the way he was walking. He had an extra bounce in his step you could say. Also, do not worry yourself so much," Miranda smiled as she caught Sora off guard, "You maybe be able to hide your feelings from Datto, but I've been around long enough to tell when someone is upset. What ever it is you are worrying about it is not that important. You should spend as much of your life as you can just being happy." Miranda leaned in close to the Sora's ear and whispered, "That's the secret to my beauty. You'd never guess it, but I'm 466 years old. I keep myself as happy as I can and just enjoy what life has to offer. Now it seems to me that you two were going somewhere. I do not wish to impede any further, so I let you to go on your way." She turned to the group of children and raised her voice, "Come on now, it is time to wash up and have dinner. It was good to see you again Datto, please do try to stop by often okay?""Will do!" Datto said as he walked up to her and Sora with a beaming smile. He kissed his foster mother on the cheek,"You take care of yourself and the little ones for me okay? Especially Kirie, I know she can be a hassle." "Okay you and Sora have a good time together. I'll hopefully see you soon" And with that Miranda walked back into her house to tend the children.
