After he passed out in front of the gate he had a dream he was flying for awhile and then landed in a soft bed. He awoke to find that his dream had come true and his was in the barracks of what he believed was the fourth squad. He had a pounding headache and felt really tired, so soon after looking around he fell back into a deep slumber. He dreamed that he was on a great stone platform balancing on the tip of a pin with a fierce wind blowing in all directions and in the center was a Yin Yang symbol. On the opposite side of the platform was a man in a meditating position, about in his mid 20s-early 30s, with long hair in a well kept braid. He was dressed in a habit, monk robes, and appeared to be in a deep phase of meditation. As Datto tried to approach the monk the platform began to tip in the monk's direction. When his end started to dip the monk opened his eyes and held out his hand signaling Datto to halt his forward progression. The monk made a sweeping gesture with both hands and then procured a rope from thin air, then pointed to Datto,, and then to rope.
"How am I supposed to do that?!" Datto yelled trying to be heard over the deafening wind.
The man threw the rope into the center of the Yin Yang symbol where it oddly stuck there like a powerful magnet. The monk then pulled himself, appearing to hover, to the white dot of the symbol in the center of the platform and sat there and motioned Datto to the black dot.
Datto tried to imitate the monk, as the platform began to tip in his direction, but only manage to make himself look like a fool. He concentrated harder, trying to analyze what the man at his opposite had done.
How did he do it? He made something solid out of midair...wait air!
Datto concentrated his reaitsu, remembering the times he had change the elements. He could tell he was running out of time, because he was starting to slide toward the edge of the platform. He quickly made the same sweeping motion as the monk had done and the air solidified into a rope. A clunky poorly woven rope, but a rope no less. Once it had been made the rope shot off on it's own connecting to the center of the yin yang symbol. Datto pulled himself to the center just in time to keep the platform from tipping over.
The man looked at him as the winds slowed then died down completely.
The monk pointed to the ropes, "This is proof of our connection,as wielder and Zanpakuto,"He then laid his hand upon the rope and a constantly changing ray of light engulfed it and went into the center of the Yin Yang symbol. When the ray came up the other side and engulfed Datto's rope it was the reverse coloring of the monks shimmering rope. "I am your Zanpakuto Kouseitan'i Sakasa (reversible element). After today your powers will obey you and you shall not be at risk of hurting those you care about with them. Now stand and approach the center."
Datto stood and walked to the exact center of the platform in resonance with Kouseitan'i Sakasa. The monk held his hands over the middle of what seemed to be this place's very center. "Place your hands on top of mine, then close your eyes and concentrate on the perfect balance we now hold." Datto did as he was told and soon he felt a warm glow of energy radiating from all around him. Then it all seemed to find a focal point and condensed in between him and his Zanpakuto spirit. "You may open your eyes, young one." Datto opened his eyes to see a beautiful, and large, broad sword standing underneath his hands. "This is the physical embodiment of our power, use it to protect and bring balance to all within your ability." As the monk spoke Datto felt himself being pulled away and the monks voice grew fainter and fainter.

(Sorry it was so long, I've been thinking about this a long time)

Datto scratched his head, "Sorry I'm such a hassle, I've always been kind of a klutz." Datto continued to redden.
Man I'm SOO smooth. Jeez I suck at talking to girls.
Maybe you should work on that, if it is causing you so much unrest.
You make it sound easy, and how would you know about that? It's not like you've had any experience either.

Datto could tell that would be all from his Zanpakuto for now.
Maybe I try though.
"Hey Sora-chan I was wondering....maybe...you know..we could" Datto was blushing so fiercely he was sure that the people in the area could feel the warmth flowing from his face.

Sora cocked her head tot he side as she watched Datto blush more. At first she didn't understand what he was trying to say, but then she understood. "Okay." she said with a smile as blushed slightly. "But, I think you should get some rest before that happens. I don't want you to pass out. Hanatarou-kun said you exhausted your reiatsu." she told him as she pushed him by the shoulders to sit back down on the bed. "Take it easy for awhile. Then we can go on a date." Sora said with a giggle.
