Aki blinked, watching curiously as Zexon was sniffed just like she'd been previously. She made sure to hold him still, smile lingering upon her lips, with her other hand still clutching a couple cookies. She watched a moment as Ristuka held out her hands, and parted her lips to speak. But then she smacked herself, causing Aki to jump slightly in surprise. She started to ask what was going on, but saw how intently she was staring, so she decided she didn't want to interrupt. Instead she simply loaded her mouth back up with cookies, further halting her ability to speak.
Zexon stared as well, from his upside down perch, meeting her eyes with his tiny ones, and fluttering his wings as he heard a voice. Yes, of course, he responded mentally, flitting upwards and towards her hands to land once more.

Alex nodded sagely, eyes not rising. He grinned, knowing he had not heard the end of it. A moment later, she proved him right. He set his fork down, taking hold of Kira's hand and led her out onto the dance floor. "C'mon, it's simple," he said, as they got to an open spot, as if it was made just for them. The slow song playing was perfect for the dance he would show her.
"First, we join hands on one side," he said, clasping her right hand in his left. "Then you place your hand on my shoulder, and I place mine at your waist." He draped her left hand over his right shoulder and slid his right hand around her waist. "Then we take one step this way," he said, gently pressing forward on Kira's hand. "You take it on the right foot, I go on my left, that's a one-count."
He gave her a reassuring smile. "See? That's not so hard." He led the way to his right, then back one step, and completing box step with a step to his left. "Then we just repeat those four steps," he finished. "Nothing could be simpler." With that, Alex led back into the box step. "It's easy. Aren't you glad now that we're out here?" he asked, giving her another smile.

"...I don't want to," Kira wined as she realized it was actually happening. She dragged her feet just a little as he pulled her to the floor, her expression almost looking pained. Yet, that tiny part kept her from pulling away completely, wishing to try it just once. Already, her cheeks were glowing pink, and the actions that followed only made it worse. Her ears had flattened back, but more in a drooping manner than a threatening one, pressed down against her skull. "Nnngh..." she let out another odd, groaned whimper as they reached the floor, her eyes darting around nervously before focusing on him, and... how very close his face seemed. This was much worse than the cake sharing moment.
Almost like a doll, she allowed herself to be positioned, standing in front of him and timidly staring, watching as their hands met, and her other was settled over his shoulder. Her hips gave a soft little shift forward at his touch, and then settled back properly once more, her blush deepening from the soft pink to a developing red. She felt impossibly silly. What did she know about dancing?
Still, she found herself following his next instructions as well, peering down at their feet as his moved and her right shifted to follow, stepping with him and trying her best not to step on him as well. "Ah.." she murmured, sounding almost surprised that she'd done the step, despite its simple nature. She glanced around herself again, then peered meekly back toward his face, her feet shuffling with slight awkwardness before the motions started to become more fluid and natural looking. The grace of a cat?
"I... I guess so," she agreed, offering another timid little smile from her flushed features.

Phae stared at him blankly. Her violet eyes then narrowed. "And you presume that I wish to dance?" Her eyes drifted towards the dance floor to watch the couples glide across the floor. Some of the students were quite talented, others looked as though they were going to cause bodily harm.
"I don't mean to be rude, but I have no desire to dance with you or any one else at this party." She figured the direct approach was her best bet. This entire situation was awkward. It was no wonder she preferred to be alone, or at least observing others. She was one of the rare few who was a loner, but not shy. She brushed back a long strand of black hair. "There are plenty of other girls here. I'm sure they'll be taken in by your charms."

Alexandros glanced downward at his own feet, making sure hes still knew the dance. He could remember the steps, but it had been a long time since he'd danced the Waltz box step. Especially to modern music. His classical upbringing hadn't included much in the way of modern technology, and that include such things as radios or CD players. He'd grown up listening to Bach, Tchaikovsky, Mozart, and Handel, not Justin Timberlake or Lady Gaga. Still, his muscle memory contained the dance as completely as the last time he'd danced it.
He was enjoying himself, reveling the rhythm and enjoying the company of a nice girl. She was the first girl his age he'd danced with since he was barely old enough to stand. It was nice to have his hand on the waist of an attractive young girl who was his date, even. A quick glance above at the stars illusioned on the ceiling. The moment was perfect, he knew. "Now that you know the steps, you open yourself the rhythm. You lose yourself in the dance and become a part of something grander," he mused, smiling at the girl whose face was not six inches away from his.
Alexandros Julius Archimedes knew one thing for sure in that moment. He wanted to know more about this girl. She was something special, and he knew he would want to be a part of her life.

Ryu walks into the room wearing a black suit and shoes, his dark brown hair brushed back his eyes shifting from person to person in a feeble attempt to find his date, after figuring it might just be better to wait for her to find him he takes a cup of punch from the table, walks to a corner and stands there waiting for any indication that his date had arrived

Kira peeked at their feet again, then once more found herself peering around the room, half expecting to catch someone staring at her. But, why would they be watching her anymore than another on the dance floor? She was doing a proper dance at least, she thought, rather than flailing like a couple others. She figured she wasn't doing much to majorly stand out.
As she gazed around at the others though, she realized how lucky her partner results had been. She didn't end up with corner boy, the guy with the tail, or the weirdo stuffing cookies into his mouth. She ended up with a weirdo in robes, but that was alright. She was genuinely relieved that he turned out to be pleasant, and was still secretly fascinated with his power, the rose's stem currently carefully tucked into her pocket. Her ears twitched, and her gaze returned to him, still flushed, but smiling weakly as well. "That's alright... I'd rather remain small and unnoticed," she replied honestly, and her movements remained the same. The simple, yet somewhat graceful steps after his own upon her light feet.
They really were very close to each other. She hadn't ever danced with someone before, and the feeling of his arm at her waist kept sharply standing out to her at random intervals, then would once more be drowned beneath another thought or distraction. Due to the issue she'd previously mentioned, she hadn't let herself become attached to someone. Her father was too busy working to teach her anything, and she could hardly imagine her brother doing a proper dance. He'd likely be the one throwing himself around, turning a slow dance into a mosh pit. She exhaled a little sigh at the thought, her lips twitching into a warmer smile.
"I think we kind of lucked out though," she said after a pause. "Not ending up with... some others here." She still hadn't even dreamed or considered this would turn into a romance. She was content just with the idea of a friend.

Luna happily walks over to Ryu in a blood red dress with a flowing black robe sword in a side sheath seeing a familiar face. "Hey Ryu, are you here for a blind date to?" Smiles. She hadnt been on a date in a long time, and was waiting for someone to have a connection with.

Ristuka cupped him delicatly "How cute!" This time she spoke out loud. A large grin graced her face as she stroked the small bats head. 'How old are you?' Ristuka could only talk to animals mentally thanks to her mutated DNA unlike other vampyres who could just read thoughts in general.

"yeah she aint here tho.....and honestly this is the first date i've been on in 3 years......." he said somewhat embarrased telling Luna that while he waited for a response from her he took another drink of his punch, finishing it he crumpled the cup and threw it into the trash can 10 feet away making it perfectly

Aki watched with her cookie filled smile, chewing away and quietly monitoring her pet's safety. She could never be too careful with him, for reasons that weren't to be disclosed so easily. Not that she figured this girl was in league with any of the bad people. No, she quite liked her new vampire friend.
Zexon shuffled a little closer, crawling across her hands with his wings outspread and gently latching to her skin. His tiny eyes peered up at her, sparkling with their own little hint of interest. He glanced toward Aki, who just beamed wider, and then peered back at the dark haired female. Two! his voice piped up in her head, sounding older than a two year old human. Of course, animals aged differently than people. I haven't met someone I could talk to before, he continued happily. At least, not without the use of some experimental technology in the works.

Sam walked over from the snack table, a pumpkin cookie in his mouth and hoped over to Ryu and Luna. Wondering if they'd recognize her in her boy disguise. She knew she had to keep herself un-found or else she'd be kicked out... but she just wanted to make sure they'd keep quiet about it so they wouldn't freak. He smiled at them from his cookie, leaning ageist the wall next to Ryu. She giggled to herself mentally. His bright golden eyes looking at both of them. Finishing his cookie he asked. "Hey guys... whats up?" very casually smiling in that special way of hers. ((cocking her head to the side, closing her eyes, and smiling))

"do i know you?" he asked looking directly at sam and wondering if he had heard about this being his first date in so long, but at the same time not trying to sound like anything was wrong but not being a p***k either. "and why do you talk to us like you know us?" he asked without waiting for him to answer his first question [Spazz edit: You're cutting it pretty close too, in terms of length. If you both work on posting a larger amount, then you'll also have more to reply to, and it won't be as hard to make posts longer.]

Luna laughs thinking about how its been such a long time since she has dated as well. "Dont worry boy, your not the only one." She sees Ryu fighting with a boy nearby. Feels a familiar aura from the person but cant put her finger on it. "Ryu, I think we do know this person." [Spazz edit: Watch the incomplete sentences and post length!
