"Ah, Rore. Where might you be heading? I came to find you. Some bad news. The town to our west was burned to the ground in the night. Reaper has made his first move." Jake just decided to walk with him.

"Yes though could use some more light. Oh well night-vision eyes do come in handy. Ah, our welcome wagon." A group of dark elf bat riders landed not to far from the three. "Hello. My name is-" One of the dark elves had thrown a spear at Reaper hitting him in the shoulder bouncing off. Reaper shook it off. "Now you shouldn't have done that. Gorash. Teach them a lesson."

Rore lowered his hand from where he was going to stifle another yawn, finding that it wasn't coming. He wasn't as tired now that Jake had said that almost casually. "Er, the guard barracks...armory...place. When did you find out about this? Wouldn't it be too wet last night, due to the rain?"

Gorash nodded. "Okay..." He'd never fought dark elves before, even when they were riding on giant bat things. Walking over, he picked up the spear that had been thrown, tested it's weight, then brought his arm back. After doing a small hop backwards, he threw the weapon, catching one of the bats through the throat when it screeched challengingly. It's death throes tipped the beast and it's rider over the edge. About three or so were left in the group now. Gorash dodged to the side as more spears were thrown, aimed perfectly at him this time. A loud keening sound made him look up to see a bat coming at him. It charged with the dark elf on it's back swinging a sword, smashing him in the shoulder in attempt to send him flying. But he'd planted his feet down firmly, catching the bat like he was hugging a stuffed toy. He used the momentum to swing it around and launch it at it's fellows, feeling a cut slice his cheek as it bowled one over. The remaining dark elf was unsure of what to do next.

"He used sofisticated explosives. Phase rock bombs I think i'll call em' but they do alot of damage and make big fires. Fires no rain can put out for some time if you catch my drift." Jake kept walking beside Rore.

Reaper clapped. "Very well done. This is why I brought you Gorash. Now..." Reaper walked over to the dark elf and smiled as he jumpped back. Then Reaper began to speak in the dark elven language and once or twice pointed at Gorash. A few moments later the dark elf told them to follow. Reaper went back to his fellows. "I told him that if he didn't show us to his leader then i'd tell my friend to cut off all his limbs and allow him to bleed to death." Reaper smiled at Gorash. "You see Gorash dark elves don't really find me or Oni very threatening but you my friend are well built tall and menacing." Reaper began to follow the dark elf through the cave passage way leading down.

((Bah, sorry I be slacking in this RP...Had to maintain mine I created and the others I'm in... sweatdrop ))

Rore nodded in agreement, not really understanding the extent of what Jake said. It was more in politeness and trying to wrap his muddled mind around the concept. "So even the rain couldn't have saved those people..." He bowed his head in respect for the dead.

Gorash frowned, a crease in his forehead as he thought. That would be the least that he would probably do to the poor dark elf. Just think of it. The inner voice of his darker side whispered enticingly. They say that dark elves are the masters of torture. I wonder how loud they can scream... Gorash clenched his hands into fists, shaking at the effort of restraining himself and keeping control. He forced himself to follow after Reaper.

Silvia awoke and stretched. The bed she was put in was quite comfy. She looked beside her and saw in the next bed her daughter. She smiled and began to put on her clothing.

"Yeah, though I believe I know a way to stop them. It'll just take some time to figure out. Well I just wanted to inform you on the situation." Jake paused for a moment. "I wish Strider was here."

The dark elf had lead them for some time until they reached a gate with two elves standing gaurd on towers bows in a firing position. The elf that had lead them spoke and the two lowered their weapons and opened the gate. Reaper continued to follow the elf as they entered a large stone city. "Magnificent isn't it?"

"Yeah and as dank as a swamp. How much longer until we reach the palace?" Oni was getting impatient and tense. Something was off. As he looked around he could see eyes watching them and gaurds were following them. "I don't like the looks of this one bit."

"Calm yourself. If I must i'll set off a flare. Though it may hurt our chances of gaining these fine peoples help." Reaper waved the torch flare in his hand and replaced it back in his pocket.

Elistral was having a nice dream. First she was fishing, then riding a horse. Why was she riding a horse? She didn't know, just turned and mumbled happily in her sleep.

Rore laid a comforting hand on Jake's shoulder, as much as reassurance to him as himself. "Thanks. Shouldn't Strider be back now though? I know he said finding these elves were hard, but..." He trailed off not sure where it was leading anyway.

Gorash silently agreed with Oni. His skin prickled with the uneasiness of tension. The dark elves' eyes had begun to annoy and unnerve him at the same time, always floating out of and in sight. He kept his gaze forward and tromped along, muttering. "I feel like a rat trapped in a maze..."

Silvia finished putting on her clothes and decided to explore town. First she passed by the fountain and sat at a bench, watching and learning from all the people around.

"Yeah that's what I was thinking, but knowing him he'll pop up when he's needed the most. He always does. Though whats really unsettling is that he hasn't sent word of his progress or to ask of the situation. It's not like him." Jake sighed.

"Calm down my friend. You know as well as I that if we truely wanted to we could kill all of them in the blink of an eye. This is a show of peace and of bravery. If you let them see that we are afraid or unnerved then they'll find us weak and not trust us. Here we aren't looking for a fight, instead we're looking for allies. Allies that are not easily immpressed." Reaper fell silent as he and the other came upon a large archway that lead into the palace. "We're here."

Rore shrugged and let his hand fall back off of the boy's shoulder, letting it rest on his belt. "Well, it has been some time since any real danger's been around. He's probably forgotten." He stopped as the young guard who'd been leading them disappeared into a small tower, the barracks. Glancing up at the stone, he yawned and pinched his cheek to wake up. "You want to come in?"

The troops that had accompanied him trooped back down underground, many holding crates or dragging sacks. The village had fallen easily. Crow blinked at the coldness of the morning, though it was quickly warming up. Hopefully now, the supplies would last longer, now that the glutton was gone. Ezekiel cawed his approval, flying around.

Fenrir appeared behind Marie and George, looking a little more haggard in appearance. He rubbed an eye as he studied them for a moment. One of them looked disgruntled, while the other didn't seem to care. "Nice day out, isn't it?" He said cheerfully. "Fresh air and sun does a lot of good, I've heard."

Gorash bit his lip to stop a grumble from coming out, one that he didn't really have control over. The palace in question was as dark as the other buildings, though more extravagant in it's designs. Any other time, like on the surface, he would have been glad to stare at it for a long time. But now, he felt like just seeing the bright sun again. This blackness was too familiar.

"Might as well. I don't have anything better to do." Jake went in after Rore.

Marie had jumpped when Fenrir appeared. Marie and George had been hiding at the top floor of a tower that wasn't used by gaurds until war times. "What do you want you leech?"

"If you wish to get technical here. I'm the leech, not him." George wasn't very disturbed by Fenrir. George had slightly felt him coming. Fenrir was good at hiding his presence. "Though I really do have to ask why your here."

The gates to the palace slammed shut behind them and Reaper looked forward at a pair of stairs with a single pair of glowing orbs coming down them.

"Not many surface dwellers come to this place." It was the king of the dark elfs. "Especially not any as strong as yourselves, Reaper. Yes I know your name. I have heard much talk of your dealings with the demons of Crow. So tell me...what is it that you want from us?"

"Your undieing allegiance. All of your armies. They must all swear allegiance to me." Reaper did not smile but watched as the kind drew his weapon.

"Such disrespect. Why should we agree to this offer? All you shall use us for is puppets in your little game. No. I shall end your game here." The king charged.

Reaper sighed. "What a shame." Then faster then anyone could blink there was a flash and a loud boom of Reaper's gun. All the dark elfs around looked at their dead king with shock and terror. "Anyone else feel like joining him? No? Good. I shall leave my capable lueitenant Oni here to command you. Now call a bat for me and my large friend." Without hesitation a bat came swooping down. "Well I tried diplomacy Gorash but some people are just to proud." Reaper hopped onto the batand flew away as another came down for Gorash.

Most of Salim's guards were fairly young, though a couple were middle aged or older. They'd kept a stern vigilance, though it wasn't really needed now that it was relatively peaceful. Rore felt a pang of homesickness when he thought about his own mentor, not having contacted him in so long. He pushed it out of his head while he went to find the armory area. "Have you been hitting these things with rocks? Look at these notches!" He exclaimed, looking over the blades of the various metal weapons. "Well, no...Erm, we were trying to sharpen them..." "Let me guess, without the proper whetstones?" "Uh..." "Well, they're still usable.."

A nice breeze came up, ruffling the tall grass and Crow's clothes. It was going to be a sunny day, he figured, compared to the night before. He munched on something he'd grabbed at random from a passing crate, his stomach rumbling a little. Maybe they'd go and sack another village. It certainly would boost their supplies further.

"George is right, what I am is definitely not a leech." Fenrir didn't elaborate and shuddered, not really liking the actual things. He plopped down on a crate, settling back comfortably against the wall. "Everyone wonders why I'm here, they never ask "How are you doing?" or "Yes, it is a nice day!" Oh well." He patted his hair down from where it had been sticking up, continuing. " 'Came to give you guys something helpful. But that depends on how bad you want it."

Gorash watched the giant bat fly away. not quite following Reaper's suit yet. He kept wondering why he called him "large". He'd always been of average height and slight build, excluding his armor of course. Or maybe you're just trying to deny something, hm? Shaking his head angrily, Gorash
stalked over to the beast and, after a brief moment of figuring that he'd have to ride it like a horse, climbed on it's back. Guilt washed over him when he thought how heavy he was for the bat, but it rose into the air easily.

Jake had read Rore's mind about his home. What's wrong Rore? You've never mentioned your old home before...tender subject?

"We have no time for games 'Observer'. Just tell us what it is and we shall debate on whether or not we'll accept it." Marrie was never truely fond of Fenrir. She merely tolerated him with an unhappy front.

Reaper flew straight for some time until they reached a large tunnel and he turned upward and it wasn't long before he saw a light ahead so he switched off his night vision. He flew out and looked around. The exit had let them out in the black mountains of the west. Reaper began to circle the exit waiting for Gorash.

((Waiiit...Who's the 3rd person who took the poll here?))

Rore jumped a little, glanced around before seeing Jake. He shrugged like nothing happened and went back to reviewing the weapon stock. Not that much anymore. He replied in his head, turning over a spear in his hands thoughtfully. What happened's in the past now. Even though I still think about it at night.

Fenrir gave an exasperated sigh and crossed his legs to sit more comfortably. "Ach, fine. There goes my attempt for courtesy--" He broke off suddenly and yawned widely, tears popping up at the corners of his eyes. Rubbing at them, he went on. "Sorry, I didn't get much sleep last night. Going on though, it has to do with Salim, of course."

Gorash felt like he had to duck down in the tunnel, though it was probably more spacey than he imagined. His normal vision returned to him and the light darkened considerably, until he saw an opening ahead. Blinking at the brightness and bringing up an arm to shield his eyes, he glanced at what lay outside of the mountain. "What...Where is this place?" He called to Reaper.

Jake continued to follow Rore inspecting some weapons himself. Well then would you mind telling me about it? I am quite curious I must say.

George and Marie looked at each other. "Aren't you supposed to be on their side?" George moitioned towards the town.

"No technically he's nuetral." Marie contradicted him. "We'll take whatever help we can get. What do you have?"

"We are in the Black Mountains. Mal's Desolation. This is where great wars between Mal and the other gods would rage. Well that is until Strider killed him the first time. Now it is just blackened and cracked mountains. This is also not far from Mal's palace. We'll Jake's palace is more along the truth now. Come. We have to return to Crow and inform him of our plan. Oni already knows it and will relay it to the elfs." Reaper turned his bat and flew towards the plains.

((Must be a ghost...
Edit: This ees asleeep! I think.))

Rore picked up something else, then instructed half the guards to do the same while the other half went off to the blacksmith's for the proper equipment needed to maintain the weapons. I...don't see why not. He sat down on the floor of the armory and took a lightweight sword in his hands, about to sharpen it with a stone. But he took a glance at Jake, who had sharp hearing due to his dog ears, and set it down again. If you don't mind listening to my rambling.

Crow watched some of the Ravagers milling around aimlessly. they were reluctant to go back down into the dark, underground tunnel. He wanted to stretch his wings a bit, so he let them stay. Soon he was up in the air with Ezekiel, watching the black bird dart to the ground every so often it saw a bright object.

"And a point for Marie." Fenrir chuckled inwardly at his little joke. Then he took some rolled up paper out of his pocket and showed it to George and Marie. "These are the blueprints for Salim. You want to accept it nooow?" He gave a cocky wink at the ice demon.

Gorash kept silent. He didn't know who he was talking about, though he had a feeling he'd find out soon. The bat he was riding took off, gliding after Reaper's beast. Another question nagged at his mind. How could these bats, if ridden by the dark elves, have no problem maneuvering in the daylight? He shrugged that off too, enjoying the cool breeze on his face. Does it really matter how these things work? The voice spoke up irritatingly. You'll just lop off it's head when we land, anyway. "No, I won't." Gorash muttered back. Oh, that's right, I'll behead it.

((un asleep XD))

I don't mind. I like hearing peoples pasts. They're always either very dramatic or very happy. Both I like so please, go ahead. Jake perked his ears up as if to show Rore had his full attention.

George looked at Marie and she shrugged. George turned back to Fenrir and sighed. "Very well. I suppose they wouldn't hurt." George took the blueprints and looked over them for safe measure and nodded. "Very good. Thank you Fenrir. Marie with this we can leave. Farewell Fenrir." There was a flash and George and Marie vanished.

Reaper was coming close to the hilltop where the Ravager base was located. Reaper saw that Crow was near by flying around. Reaper dove and landed on the ground. He hopped off the large bat and in one swift motion the bat had been shot in the head, it's job done. "Crow! Come down here!" Reaper called and just as he did a flash erupted behind him. He turned to see George and Marie. "Ah, nice timing."

An elf walked into a large pateo of sorts looking off into the scene of a large golden city. Birds were chirping and the sun was high in the sky. The elf bowed. "Master Azeois, news from the dark elves is that Reaper has taken control of their armies. My lord is asking if it is time to make our move."

Strider stood up from his chair on the pateo and sighed. "Ready the army, my friends need our help." The elf bowed and exited the room closing the door behind him. Strider sat back down and took a sip of his elven wine. "I hope we won't be to late."
