((@Flamgra smile )

Dismissing the rush in the stranger's voice, the guard captain continued on. It was his job after all to find information on those who approached his Mistress' gate, "Is there a position you are particularly looking for that might spark the Matron's interest?"
PostPosted: Sun Oct 25, 2009 6:07 am

Flamgra shook his head, this was going to take a while, but never the less; he would play the guards game.

"I am applying for the weapons master position. On my campaigne to the surface I lead a troop of five soldiers, including myself, into the heart of a Sylvan elf settlement. In one night we overtook the city and made slaves of them all. I was praised by the Dunmer of the surface and given the title WarLord." He said proudly, for him it was truly an acheivement. Flamgra bent to one knee and crossed his right arm over his chest.

"In the name of Lolth, glorious and mighty is she, I wish to lend my services to Matron Lariexith of Tor'afin." As Flamgra finished he bowed his head, incase the Matron had eyes on him as he speak.

The moment the doppelganger guard captain heard that the stranger had come to request the position of Weapons Master, he knew that his own job would be put into jeopardy should this renegade receive the position.

"And what makes you think you have the ability to become a Weapons Master? Surely leading a group to the surface, enslaving a village, and earning a title isn't all you have to offer? Houses tend to do that all the time around here. That's a better source of Undergaia's income."

((Sorry I have to stall. Just that Lariexith is busy right now having a meeting.))
PostPosted: Sun Oct 25, 2009 3:05 pm

Flamgra set his sack down near the gate, readying his spear and dagger.

"If you be not a coward, then let me prove my worth" He said defiantly, looking around so not to have an ambush. He could be facing odds of five to one, even ten to one. One guard leapt from the stalagtites, attempting to be silent. Flamgra picked up on his energy and without much motion, thrust the blade into the guards chest. The male guard gurgled on his own blood and fell to the ground. Flamgra pull the blade from his sternum and flicked the blood from the blade.

"And lets keep this you and me,I would much rather NOT appear to be entering by force. Would not bode well. That is, IF the Matron values your work." He laughed and once again looked around, the dying man about one or two feet away.

((Sorry to control one of your guards ,just needed it to post more than like, three scentences lol))

((Oh no, its fine actually. They're all NPCs and they're a dime a dozen lol.))

A clapping could be heard from somewhere above. The guard captain made his appearance on top of a dark ledge inside one of the many stalagmites, perched upon his lizard mount, "Congratulations, you took out one of my men. Did you not know that attacking a House's guard is pretty much declaring war on the House? Are you prepared to take down me and my men...intruder...?"

((You can potentially kill the guard captain in this fight. I won't be needing him anymore.))
PostPosted: Sun Oct 25, 2009 3:24 pm

"Is it not also Lolth's teaching, that if you must kill someone,do so" Flamgra looked up and smiled at the man,his grin sadistic and his glare, tempting.

"Come down and fight me,unless the mighty guard is afraid of one Drow" Flamgra said, throwing his Kunai through the hole in one of the stalagtites. Impailing one archer between the eyes, the Kunai's handle just sticking out of the hole. Blood flowed from the hole like a fountain, as it did so Flamgra just laughed.

"I can do this all day,so we can do this the easy way,or I can kill every last guard until only you are left. I am sure the Matron will have no issue replacing the lot of you." Flamgra smiled, then his expression became slightly stunned. One arhcer had fired and pegged him in the right arm, near the elbow. This was painful, but not incapasitating; Flamgra pulled out the arrow and scoffed, completely insulted by the archers blow.

"I have had lashings more painful than that, how is it you even protected this place for so long?" Flamgra laughed as blood trickle down his right arm.

The guard captain smiled down at the daring drow, "Then let the war begin. We'll see how you fair with my Matron's defenses she personally set up," the captain allowed the comment to linger in the air.

"You do realize that my Matron has eyes placed at every nook and cranny in her House. Should she hear you speak such a way about her House. How DARE you insult her defense mechanisms!" While speaking to the stranger, the captain was relying messages to his men behind his back in dark elf silent.

-Prepare to kill. Fill the darts with the strongest and excruciating poison you have. Fire sparingly when I signal.-

After the captain finished speaking to the intruder, the captain then summoned his innate globe of darkness ability and completely shrouded himself in darkness. While inside the globe, the captain leaped down from his mount, taking his pwifwi and wrapping it tightly around him to hide his heat signature from the stranger, then the captain disappeared in the shadows. Making his way to the ground as he gave the signal to two of his archers to begin firing their darts of poison.

Flamgra just grinned at the guards feeble attempt to intimidate him.

"I did not say her mechanisms were flawed, just those who pretend to use them." Flamgra smiled and gaxed into the spear,he was not the only one who could shadow blend. A few darts and arrows fired at him, clanging off of his plate and just a few millimetres short of penetrating his leather.

"You're not scared of the dark..are you?" Flamgra tossed his shark tooth knife into the source of light immidately over head. After doing so Flamgra became one with the shadow, blending to a practically invisable state. Only a faint sihlouette could be seen moving swiftly through the darkness, zig zagging to each stalagtite in the immediate area. He quickly ran his spear into each hole, ensuring to strike every guard he could,in the first thirty seconds he killed three guards. Ever so swiftly moving from shadow to shadow,so not to expose himself.

The rest of the guards who had wrapped their pwifwis around them watched as their colleagues fell from where they stood. The guards then took to the upper canopy. Climbing up the rock formations out of the line of the attack.

The other guards, who were hidden inside the stalagmites used the portals inside to transport to other stalagmites and fired a few darts in the perimeter where their unfortunate kin had just fallen. Then before their enemy would trace their line of fire, they'd transport to a different stalagmite and wait.

((@Flamgra smile )
Lari nodded at the Matron's response and pressed on to the conversation, "I will be truthful with you, Matron Zara. Being a mother myself, I take extreme caution when dealing with others who have young children themselves or about to have a child. I have a firm belief on motherhood. It is very sacred. When I had my daughter, I went to extremes just to be sure to have a good life for her. Because of her, she was the start of Tor'afin's new revelation. And that is when I seized the throne for myself from my own mother. But of course I went about it very cautiously and was sure to put her into safekeeping from far away. I look back on it now and realized that my actions may have been a little too rushed and should I have failed then I would have left my only child in the world without me. A child without her mother," at this Lari sighed in disbelief, "I can imagine her to grow up with the intentions to avenge my death and have her destroy herself in the process. Then Tor'afin would have never been introduced to Ulorbbath!"

Lari then leaned back with her finger pressed to her lips as she analyzed Zara while still contemplating in her own thoughts, "Its a messy business when there's younger lives at stake. If you truly want this alliance then let it be known that Tor'afin's history is based on war. We consider ourselves a War House. And that is what I want to continue to do now that my daughter is reaching her maturity."

Putting her hand down and situating herself in the chair more comfortably, she then locked her fingers together on her lap, "Now that's said. You were speaking earlier about establishing some sort of trust between us? How do you plan on going about that?"

Zara lightly presses her lips together as she lowers her chin slightly in a nod, "Being a mother yourself, you already know such trials and caution and the extreme that I am willing to have for my child as well." she lightly murmurs, listening for a moment or so as her deep crimson eyes watch Lari. At the other woman's words and sigh, her expression softens slightly, "The lengths mothers strive for our children and the future of our kind... You seem to be a mother that knows this all too well."

Listening, her eyes narrow just slightly in thought, lifting a hand to brush the back of her dark, slender fingers against her chin. "Such an ally would be useful as protection..." Her gaze returns to the other Matron, a moment passing before the corner of her lips tugs slightly. "Well, unless you have a particular way you wish to earn your trust, I may have a way that can increase the status of your House without risk to your soldiers."

Lariexith raises her eyebrow as she smiled slightly at the Matron's comment. Slowly she sits back in her chair and places a finger on her temple while her other hand made a gesture, "Go on."

Zara pause a moment in consideration, lifting a white brow before exhaling. This will be her hand, after all. Showing it without even requiring an agreement to the alliance beforehand. Risky. The corner of her lips tugs regardless. "This will be a... deeply inlaid plan. Complex only with the layers of buffering needed. Though put into its simplest terms, rumors will be spread through unknown commoners, rumors that will stir distrust between the second and third Houses. Perhaps even the possibility of a mole. Distrust will grow with suspicion and in time they will turn on each other..."

Recalling the meeting she had had with her Archmage before the meeting with Gaundroth brought an evil giggle to Lariexith that she could not confide, "Ah, yes. That third House. Plans have already started to begin for its demise. Personally my dear, I love the blood shed. That's what brings the thrill of it all. But I can assure you, it will not effect your House or mine."

Sitting up straighter in her chair again, Lariexith then started to dig in her purse at her waist.

"I'll tell you what, my dear. Just for the moments we have been talking I have grown fond of your mind. Perhaps you will be a useful ally in the near future. So why not we go ahead and sign this.."

She then pulled out a scroll and unraveled it as she presented it to the Matron on the coffee table that separated them, "Its a written document of our agreement to pledge our allegiance."

I, Matron (first name and House name), have vowed to allegiance with Qu'ellar Tor'afin.

I, Matron Lariexith of Tor'afin, have vowed allegiance to (House name).

I, Matron (first name), have vowed to aid Tor'afin if this House should ever encounter trouble.

I, Matron (first name), swear that neither I, nor any House member, are permitted to declare war on this House as long as this Contract remains untarnished.

I, Matron (first name and House name) independently agree to this Contract and allegiance with Lariexith of Tor'afin.

Matron Zara

PostPosted: Mon Oct 26, 2009 1:34 am

Zara quirks a brow at the corner of her full lips tugs with some amusement as well, "Very interesting indeed. Hm. It would seem that we would be a better pairing for such an alliance than I previously realized. Your forward action and planning compliments the stealth and confidence."

She lifts a white brow as the other Drowess starts to dig through her purse, only to open the scroll and slide it towards her slightly across the coffee table. The guard moves forward, taking it before offering it to his Matron. Her slender fingers reach for the parchment, reading it over twice. "This does not have either a specific set of circumstances or a set of time this would be effective. You spoke of something of a... short term contract? Or should we revise this?"
