"Yes dancing makes you thirsty after a while..." she said as she held his hand while walking over to the drink table. Tehra picked up a small cup of punch. She was glad that she had gone out on a whim and asked Tommy to prom with her under the guise that they both didn't know anyone so they might as well, when in truth she had asked him because she had thought he was cute. Tehra turned and looked at his profile for a moment, then turned back forward. She didn't want to be caught staring.

From the other side of the dance floor, Damien was watching Tehra every now and then. He wasn't doing much more than keeping a calm and protective eye on her. Though they were mainly here for B.A.N.D., Damien knew he had to keep watch in case the fallens that were hunting them decided to show up, though he doubtd they'd be here for a while. Damien and Tehra weren't exactly priorities, just annoyances, and they had other things to worry about. He was glad that his charge was having fun, he could tell that even from this distance. Hopefully she'd settle in here in Delmor comfortably, as would he. He was too old for school however, so he'd have to get a job or something of the like to kill the empty hours of the school day.

Tehra could somewhat sense it, this nervous tension between the two- that feeling in the pit of her stomach. She knew it was there, but did her best not to focus on it. Tehra had to be ready and alert if something happened and her and Damien- that's right... she had to tell Tommy about her, er uncle, or more, the man who created her. He WAS staying at her apartment, so Tommy needed to know not to be surprised. She decided to wait until after prom, however, to tell him. Tehra didn't see how it would hurt their partnership, considering Damien was more used to battle and could help him. "So Tommy, what do you do for fun..." Tehra knew it was random, but she figured she might as well find out anyhow.

James Cross was quite frankly annoyed. Everybody always seemed to get a bad impression of him and always seemed to be getting upset for some stupid reason so when the girl Danielle came over to the table James Cross was more than annoyed. He knew she was only saying that there was some kind of alcohol situation going on to shoo him away. He was not going to budge though. Not until he finally told the boy something that for some reason he just did not want to hear. So now, James decided to do it the only way he knew how... rudely.

James went right to the boy's side and whispered in his ear. "I know what I saw at the PU. You shattered that glass without touching it. There is something special about you and I just want you to know that you are not alone because I think I have been given special powers as well."

James knew he was probably getting weird stares from the entire crowd at the table. He didn't care. Nobody seemed to respect him and it was getting seriously annoying. This boy needed to know why James was so interested in him. James needed answers and even if the boy didn't have them it would still be good to talk to someone about the powers James had. Cross did not know why he felt like he had to tell this boy, but one thing was for certain, he needed to tell someone about his powers before he exploded from all of the stress.

Cael backed away from the psychotic. Serenity raised an eyebrow at Cael inquiring if that meant anything to him. Cael shrugged in response, "Bad dates."

Cait and Jay felt as if they'd been sitting just observing events for days. Cait's date had gotten punched in the face but some girl in a blue dress who he apparently knew, a cop had come over to fix the situation (which was understandable) but then he tried to drag the two of them off. Danielle had come over to pull the cop away, but he had whispered something frantically in Cael's ear after pulling him close. He was obviously deluded and Danielle had been warned of his rash behavior, that must be why she was trying to distract him.

Finally Cael broke the monotony, and the girls couldn't help but giggle, "Haha, you mean like the night at the PU when we met you? Is this the bad date you were running from?" Both girls had a good laugh, secretly hoping the delusional cop would be shamed into leaving them alone soon. It was their night to celebrate, damnit.



Rowena frowned. She was bothered by Austin's inability to understand her question. Perhaps the lingo he knew was different, or maybe he really was that good. She might never be sure, but it was dangerous to push it. No point in pushing it when she had such a good thing going. The night could only improve, and she could make her comeback still, even if she had been snubbed by channel q.

"I was asking about the spice in the dumplings. They are so good! Do you recognize the flavor? Also wondered if you'd found a table for us to sit at."

James Cross then became aggitated. What was it with these insolent kids? Maybe Graydon and Oual had been right from the get-go. Maybe Cross just wasn't ready for any kind of law enforcement until he was completely finished with school. One thing was for certain: James Cross needed to figure out how to get people to respect and listen to him. He did not think that this boy and his friend had to be so rude and the snickering girls in duct tape dresses did not help either. He decided that maybe following the 13ROYs was a good idea. The situation with the alcohol outside sounded pretty important anyway. So James looked at the boy and then at both girls in the duct tape and the another girl that seemed to be a close friend of the boy's and then said, "Well... whoever chose this guy as a prom date" James gestured to the boy. "Certainly picked a winner." James said this in the most sarcastic voice he could possibly make. Yes. It was such an idiotic move but again, his irritation seemed to be getting the better of him.

James then turned to the 13ROYs and said, "Okay you hunk of junks. Lead the way and I will follow!" And then the robots were off, showing Cross to the scene of the crime. As he followed the droids outside to the front of the manor, Cross past Oual, who was apparently talking to a very weird looking girl and then Don, who seemed to be working the entrance. James wanted to try and get to know Don more during his time at prom, but so far that didn't seem to be the case. 'Oh well.' thought James. 'There will be plenty of time to talk to Don.' As James continued to follow the droids, he thought about that idiotic boy again. There James was, spilling his one giant secret he wouldn't even tell Oual or Graydon or even Laura, to a kid that he barely knew. Maybe it was better for the kid that he didn't question James further on the idea of having powers. After all, Mister Wyong had told James not to tell anyone or else there would be extreme consequences.

The 13ROYs had finally apparently gotten to the scene of the crime because they seemed to be rolling around in circles and beeping like maniacs. "Okay. Okay. Shut up!" James yelled as he looked around the more secluded spot of the front lawn. There was nobody in sight and the only beverage on the lush grass was some very fine looking bottles of sparkling water. James cursed. "You idiot tin cans! There is no alcohol in sight! You're creator must have one hell of a time with you lying sacks of garbage!" James playfully kicked one of the 13ROYs. The fact is that James found them amusing, even though they were annoying. Following these robots had been the best part of his night so far. Even though James Cross was pretty sure Danielle had probably ordered these robots to take Cross away from the group he had just been with, his mood improved a little bit because of the 13ROY's mix up.

“That cop over there,” Oual said, pointing towards Cross as he left the table angrily, “The one with all the Mr. Sparkys – Is working for me. I have to go talk to him. Come on, it’ll be fun, and maybe you can talk with Mr. Sparky again.” Oual walked at a calm pace so that neither Violet nor James was alarmed.

“Hey, James,” he greeted with a smile. “This is Violet. She’s a new friend of mine.” Anyone could tell that she had some kind of mental problem and Oual had to supervise her. “I wasn’t going to get involved this time. I wanted to give you a chance to handle things on your own. Apparently it didn’t go so well. Is something happening over there that either of us should be concerned about?”

“The… dumplings?” Austin repeated. “No, I – uh - haven’t tried them.” He tried not to turn red. He felt like a fool. “We can sit anywhere you want to. Do you see any of your friends?” He almost asked her to dance, but he wasn’t sure if that would have been right for the situation.
