Serenity laughed, dropping her childish tone for a more devious one. She crossed her legs and smiled at Cross, "Well look who grew a pair. No thank you Mr. Chaperone, I think me and my friends are much more comfortable in this room. The lights are so pretty here and, well, we were all just about to get acquainted. My friend here," she gestured down at Cael, "is feeling pretty tired, and that room," she sneered and motioned towards the room Cross had 'ordered' them to, "it's all dark and gloomy. Plus," Serenity leaned forward and whispered, "I don't really feel like giving anything up to a man twice my age." She leaned back and smiled again. *** Cael was still lying on the floor, but he let himself smile a little at this exchange. He had always been a little embarrassed that between the two of them, Serenity had the biggest cojones, but that was what he had always liked about her. And it felt good knowing that someone was looking out for you, even if they did say hello with their fists.

Tehra giggled lightly as she offered him her hand. "C'mon, dont lose faith in your skills.... I love to dance... it is so much fun..." She said, her curls bouncing about her smiling face. "And sorry about the costume comment. If you'd like some help with it, I'd be more than willing too- I made mine, and thus I can sew..."

"Ah, Mr. Cross?" Danielle moved as quickly as she could towards the quickly crowding table, pulling her dress up and rubbing at her contacts as she did. Suddenly, her foot wobbled and she began to fall over. A large metal hand snagged her as a pair of 13ROYs caught up to her. They followed her closely as she finished walking to the table, looking not unlike giant metal bouncers. "I know you're supposed to be chaperoning this event and not running investigations, but I was wondering if you could escort these two 13ROYs out to the parking lot. There seems to be someone serving alcohol out of the back of their truck. The people in charge here seem to think that's a problem." "HURRY UP, ," The first 13ROY suddenly boomed.
"AFFIRMATIVE," the second added. "ANGELS DON'T WAIT FOR SLOWPOKES."

Tommy took her hand and stood back up, getting back into his dance steps, "Well...I do have other designs...and one I especially want...but its a bit complex." He said biting his lip.

<<< Previously Lindsay grinned at Chris, who returned her grin with ease and excitement. Though the two of them were simply friends, Lindsay knew that Chris would definitely be excellent company for the evening... and he had known Lindsay for a long time, so he might forgive her if she had to... dare she say 'electrify the room?' She wore her camisole and stockings under her dress, which was huge but not so unmanageable that she couldn't take it off in a short time and finish her costume, so she could easily get in on any action if it were necessary. There was definitely something rather strange going on at the concert before any rockets were even thought of, so since the only similar element she could see was B.A.N.D., she was ready. Chris hopped out of Lindsay's car and opened the driver's door to let his friend out. "Milady?" he chuckled, offering her a hand as she straightened her jewelry and skirt. "You ready for this, Chris?" Lindsay asked, a smile making its way across her face despite her suspicions about the evening. "Ready as I'll ever be..." He replied, "though no offense to you... trust me, I love your company and I'm glad that we managed to get this together so we could both go... but this date restriction thing is ridiculous." "None taken, I know. And on top of all of the couples formed out of necessity, there are going to be those couples who are going to use the whole 'they asked us to bring dates thing' as an excuse to be nauseating..." Lindsay added. "Haha, yeah. Ready to go on in?" Lindsay clutched her small purse to her. "Now I am!" As they entered the mansion, they passed Annie Body and Mascot Guy, both reporting for Channel Q. She waved and smiled at them out of politeness and carried on. Chris followed suit, and the two of them entered prom, though slightly late thanks to a bit of trouble parking (read as everyone got there at once), and began to listen to the recorded music that was still playing before B.A.N.D. came on. In short, the scene they saw was chaos. But, as prom is always chaotic, Lindsay disregarded it. Here's hoping my suspicions are wrong about this crap.Chris went to the nearest table to talk to an acquaintance he saw; Lindsay went to get herself a root beer.

"Show it to me..." Tehra said with a smile "Or tell me about it.... we could probably get it made together...." She thought back to how she made her outfit, a unique leather number. "You know, when you read those comics half the time they never tell HOW the superhero got the outfit... they are quite a pain, aren't they?"

Violet looked at the badge with hungry and excited eyes; the prospect of having one to call her own was enticing (despite the fact that, in all likelihood, she would quickly neglect it as she did many of the other possessions she had once coveted). "You could really get me a shiny badge?" she asked, smiling excitedly. "I had a badge once, only it wasn't so shiny, and it was white. But then I lost it. Or somebody took it. But yours is even prettier than that one was..." Violet trailed off, her attention being drawn elsewhere. "How come there are Mr. Sparky's everywhere?" she asked, either forgetting or never truly being aware of B.A.N.D.'s performance.

He blinked, blushing a bit, "Um well...its another full body gold suit...but leather instead of useless cloth, it would have a metal chest plate that goes around the back, gold also...um...better gloves and boots, gold metal elbow and knee pads, and a more bullet shaped golden helmet..." He said embarrassed. He chuckled at the comment on heroes costumes.

"Sounds very fitting...." Tehra said with a smile "I'm pretty good at working with leather. My whole outfit is made of it." She said, continuing to dance with him across the floor. "I'm glad we met Tommy, this is fun"

Beth watched Anthony with curiosity, never had she met someone so strange in her entire life. As he walked back up to her he smiled, "I feel a little better, how are you?" He asked he as he brushed the hair out of his eyes. She smiled and took his hand, "I'm alright, let's dance."
The prospect of dancing wasn't one Anthony readily embraced. It wasn't that he was a bad dancer as he was quite coordinated it was simply that all the moving about in a large crowd compromised his readiness and it became hard to determine how many of the people were really there and how many his mind had conjured. None the less he followed her on to the dance floor, he saw James Cross and nearly blew his identity as a hero but had the mind to keep his mouth closed and just nod at James.

Serenity decided it was time to help Cael off the floor. She had expected his date, who she still wasn't introduced to yet, to fly to his side but it seemed like if he waited for her he would be waiting until next Saturday. She hopped off the table and held out her hand for him. *** Cael was greatful for Danielle. Finally on his feet, with Serenity's help, he dusted himself off and said to Danielle, "That's the second time you've helped me out with that guy, thanks. I didn't realize you were someone big and important." *** Serenity was surprised to meet yet another girl that Cael knew in his new town. 'He works fast, doesn't he,' she thought to herself, 'Maybe he had a point all those times he said I made him insecure...' She couldn't shake her conflicted feelings about Cael, and the thought started to creep into her mind that maybe it was a bad idea to have come down here to find him. She would never let it show on her face and kept a up a cheerful look as a defense, but knew she couldn't do it all night.

Tehra smiled at him as they continued to dance. She loved to dance, and Tehra had even been a member of something known as a show choir at her school in her first city- it was a group that sang and danced to broadway style songs. It had been so much fun- sparkling dresses and bright stage lights. Tehra had looked into something of the sort here and Delmor, but no such thing existed. Her mind then flew to other things- such as the amount of strange people here. "You know... something tells me we aren't the only heroes here in Delmor. Have you noticed how many oddballs are around here?"

Tommy seemed to be gazing at Tehra, something about her seemed to cause him to drift into a sort of trance, maybe is was just teenage hormones. When she spoke he snapped out of it, "Oh, um yeah, sure there could be more, we can't be the only two here right?"
