Just a reminder, the Photoshop contest ends September 16th! We've got two awesome entries so far and I'd love to see some more. I'm still not sure what the hell I'm gonna do for a prize but the winner and I will have to work out that tiny detail.. Anyhow! Check out the Contest sub Forum and you'll find the Photoshop Contest july-august whatever.. which is now extended to the 16th. So lets see some more entries and have some fun with this.

I'm planning on doing all sorts of baked stuff for halloween, there will be cake for sure. got some cool cake stencils too! Should be fun.

I want pictures of this legendary cake. wink Hey, Bri, I love your avie!! And I've been MIA, AGAIN. I know, I know. I need to be shot. I really recommend that everyone try to avoid the tonsillitis, strep throat, laryngitis combo. It's not fun. Avoid it at all cost. (I'm sure it's really just strep OR one of the others, but I've had all three and it FEELS like all three.) Speaking of which, I'm off to the doctor... Hope you all are well.

Well, my strep test came back negative as did my flu test...
(Any of you ever have THAT done??? It's a treat. I mean, it's not like losing a limb or anything, but they take a long thin tube and run it up into your nose and down to the back of your throat... Hard to keep from crying.)
So just my semi-annual bout with tonsillitis. If I ever get insurance, those lil' bastards are SO out of there. Been having problems with 'em once every two or three years for the past 10. On the plus side, since the other tests came back negative, it's a good indication to be an internal bacterial infection and thus not contagious. I'm on some amoxicillin and that should hopefully knock this out in a few days.
Now if I could just eat and/or talk above a croaky whisper....

I really does suck not being able to eat above a croaky whisper. Sorry to hear you're sick deary. But fear not! I think we should start whipping this place up for Halloween don't you think??
I'm considering doing a contest for the artwork on the front page, now that summer is at it's end, we should get going on autumn and I think that's as good a place to start as any. Also, as we did last year, the costume contest will be back in action later in October. I'd also like to get some arts and crafts, and all sorts of other Halloween themed nonsense in all the various forums we have. I'd love to hear some ideas from everyone. Lets get the ball rolling eh?

There are two people getting sick in my house but for some reason I don't normally get sick, it's good but odd. I hope you feel better. I got to see the final evening for the Olympic Trials at Northern Michigan University. They had that Apollo fellow skating there and he won all of the events. I suppose if your parents name you something like that they were really expecting something out of him huh? hehe! The final evening that I went there were all kinds of injuries and even one boy had his artery cut by another boy who fell. He was bleeding all over the ice. The skates they wear are deadly sharp and they seem to wear hardly anything at all. I've been working on my projects for class so hopefully my clay piece will come out ok from the kiln and I will be able to take pictures. For the ceramics class we had to recreate a historical vessel. I'm also working on a shirt pin for my jewelery class too which will be a luna moth.

I like fall but at the same time it gives me this cold feeling in my gut, that fall feeling you know what I mean but at the same time I think of warmth and fire. bleh. It's almost the same feeling as worry.
