Normally half breeds are constantly looked down upon... often called parentless... or some people even refuse to acknowledge us." She said happily. "And I am proud of it and who I am.... you should be proud of it too.... but that doesn't mean you should walk around as a Gryphon in the open and risk being killed by some creature that doesn't understand you, I just mean don't be ashamed of who you are." SHe said smiling.

"The only thing stopping me from acting halfway decent is Rikku, I'd respect her even if she wasn't the priestess oracle lady. She's special." Maia chuckled and raised her eyebrows in suprise, "You don't know how to fly? Have you ever tried?" The creeping darkness was cool and welcoming on Maia's hot and feverish face, she'd spent the whole day working in the sun until it had been time for the meeting, "Ah, the days almost over, time passes by so quickly nowadays."

Grimloq had returned from his journey with the fairy to bury one of his fallen brethren. However, he came back escorted by two honor guard alongside him. Grimloq was on tribe business and needed to see what tribes would be joining the Blue Scale Tribe at the festival. Every tribe was invited, but not every tribe could attend. Grimloq was going to start this quest tomorrow when the sun rose; right now he needed to find a place to stay for the night. However, with the coming Day of Oracles, finding a place to stay for just one night was hard.
"Sir, maybe we should just set up camp? Getting a place to stay in Central is hard this time of year, especially for Lizard Men."
Grimloq didn't say anything; he had not a thing to say for the matter since it was true. Humans were still quite intolerant to other tribes that looked too different from their own, but this happened only during the festival due to the Day of Oracles being mostly a human tribe event. Grimloq hoped since the High Priestess wasn't fully human, tolerance would rise on this day, but it wasn't looking like any change at all was happening.

She grimaced at Maia's statement, "Yes, I have tried...and you don't even want to know some of the places I had bruises on. The jumping off of the cliff ,overlooking the river, in that one place, was a bad idea." Ruri shivered at the thought of the cold water rushing over her head as she hit that water, hard. "Nope, never want to do that again...But what's even worse is when your trying to run from a village and they start shooting fire arrows at you. That sucks, because as soon as they hit you feathers...then you have to jump off the cliff and prey that your wings decide to work for you."

"You only jump off of stuff after you know you can fly." She laughed. "So why don't you just try flapping your wings like crazy... and see if you can take off." SHe shrugged looking at the darkened sky. "It doesn't sound like flying would be too hard,... you could even just spend some time watching how the birds do it and learn in from them, or ask someone from the harpy tribe to teach you how to fly." SHe stated, wishing her clan could fly.

At the mention of the harpy tribe, Ruri looked down at the ground again. " As, much as I hate to admit this...I really think they don't want anything from me anymore. I ran away...when I was really young. I thought the peaceful life was boring. Who knew?" She laughed bitterly and looked back up at Rikku and Maia, " I was a wild child and never knew what a good thing I had. My master was teaching me the wild arts and I had a sort of family with him. But, then I took off thinking I knew better. " The laughter turned into a sad smile and she continued, " People don't like things they don't understand, and I've only known a few who do, maybe if I would have stayed I would have known better, but I didn't. And, I'm not going to stand around feeling sorry for myself either. " Ruri's eyes grew fierce for a moment and took on their gryphon color but quickly toned down again. " I fell in love, and I had good thing for a while...until I lost it. Now I'm stuck hiding who I really am again. Well..." She looked at the two again, "At least from some people...Hey...ummm...Would you mind having a overly large bird in your garden tomorrow?"

"Of course you are welcome to use, the garden whenever you want." She said happy to help. "However I would say that it would be wiser to head back to the Harpy tribe... If you want I can come with you, and Maia can come too..." SHe thought. "And it has been a while since I paid a visit to the Harpy tribe.. I should probably go out there anyways... and how could they say no if I asked them teach you.. and you apologized."

((Sorry for not checking up on the RP. Btw, I'll be gone at Otakon this weekend. Justr wanted you guys to have a heads up. Anyone else going?))
The Panlong looked up from beneath the cold waters. In front of him sat the massive fortress that the notice had been sent out for. Tonight seemed like a fine night. There were to be no problems from what he understood. It was nice, having peace. Why the water lord, Mizu, called he had no idea. It wasn't often that a notice was sent out. Tell the truth, he would have never known about it if someone else from the army hadn't told him. It was just his lucky really.

She looked at the priestess and gave her a slow smile. " You would do that? I mean...I...ah..." Ruri blushed and looked away. "Thank you..." She decided that studying her feet at the moment was a better prospect than looking at anything else. " After, I do this...I need to find Sergrin. Those blue armor people might still be looking for him and I can't leave him out there on his own."

Maia frowned, "You must really love the guy." She sighed, "I have to admire that, you've got a good heart." She grinned, "Rikku, when do we set out?" She looked to the priestess with raised eyebrows. How many secrets have I kept for this girl??? She wondered.

"We set out asap.. because we need to get back soon... the Day of Oracles can happen any time in these next couple of weeks, and I need to be back in the central city for that day." She said happily. "and don't you think it will be easier to find you sergrin, when you can fly around the land looking for him." She smiled.
((I will probably just go to Kumoricon... It is a lot smaller... but also alot closer to my house.))

Maia smiled again, "Alright then, Do you need me to tell any officials that you're going? They may not like me, but I can be trusted." She looked with distaste at her fingernails, mentally noticing how overgrown and long they were. The darkness crept up on her like a stealthy criminal, stealing her of all the daylight. It was the perfect time of day for an attack, "But we need to be cautious if you want to leave tonight, I have no problem with it. It still seems like a good idea to leave in the morning." She sighed and thrust her hand down, folding it together with her other one.

Mizu stop at the top of the fortress, looking over the vast ocean that seemed to stretch for miles with the beautiful glare of the moon, but then the Land of Blossoms disrupted the long view by not reflecting any of the moon's light.
"Soon my plans will destroy the Land of Blossoms and water will rise around the land and their rebellious nature will drown along with their lives."
Mizu wasn't present in his armor, the plan that was required needed for him to be unrecognizable by the creatures of land and they all recognized the Water War Lord Mizu for his armor, not his actual appearance. This would make it easy for the plan to carry through and the resistance fall.

"I should probably tell Grimloq... but the only reason I would tell him is so that he didn't worry.... I will just post it somewhere." She said calmly. "and I know we will be vulnerable... however if we wait until morning, I might be bombarded with things I need to do before the festivals, and Day of Oracles, so it would be best if we go now." She stated thinking.
"Maybe I will go early and see what Mizu is up to." Tai said swimming around bored. "I mean its not like I have anything better todo..." He swam around looking for Mizu, before deciding just to go wait where they were all going to meet.

Maia nodded, "Ready when you guys are then." She flashed her teeth again, though it was almost too dark to see them. She took a step forward and gazed down at Ruri, "Ruri, you ready?" She gestured with her hand towards the trees, "We can get there quickly through the paths untreaded, but if comfort is your cup of tea, we'll have to take the road."
