Velouria Dragoon You must be mad...Anything would have been better than that crappy excuse of "well I just wanted to heal myself" Why has he never done that before then? It was hard to suspend my disbelief. In the end, that crappy hand excuse was used to kill Donna, no worse than kill her. And it also cheapened the previous bad wolf bay ending with Rose.[/img] They did explain the hand thing though, he couldn't stop the regeneration process before because there was nowhere for the excess energy to go. He could use the hand because it was a match, a way to filter off the energy. They'd been playing it up all series though, there were loads of references to it. I know it was a bit of a poor point plot wise, but it did sort of make sense. I'm not happy with the way things ended with Rose, I think she deserved a proper goodbye from the actual Doctor. And now he's all on his own, again! xx

And yeah, it is sad that the doctor is on his own again. I wonder who his next companion is going to be? ...or you wouldn't have come here.

Any word on Mickey and Martha joining Torchwood?
Glad they brought Mickey back. he was always a lot of fun, and much more fun when he stopped wanting to be the "tin dog" of the group. and the banter between him and jack was hilarious. They pretty much set Martha up to join Torchwood in it's 2nd season.

Mickey is awesome, although I'm still not sure how I feel about him potentially joining Torchwood. His interactions with Jack have been great so far, but I don't know how he'll get along with the rest of the characters.
I guess we'll have to wait and see.
Also, Martha joining = totaly saw it coming from her first appearance in season 2.

Yeah, Martha joining was totally obvious. If he's trying to hint at it, well it didn't work. It was more like being beaten over the head with the idea. lol

I didn't get why he tried to save DAVROS and then just kinda waved bye-bye to Dalek Caan who'd just saved his @$$ as the ship burned around him.
Dalek Caan would have been a neat companion. Then they could've gone a series without the Daleks but WITH the Daleks... one of them. It would be funny too to see people's reactions to a one-eyed squid in a salt shaker on the Doctor's travels. Its either 'wha-what the heck is that thing?!' or 'IS THAT A DALEK!? AAAH! RUN!' He might not be too fantastic at running though, which is sorta something all Doctor Who companions need to be able to do.
Next series's companion needs to STAY ON for more than one already. Its so stupid and depressing when the Doctor ends up alone as he has for the last past three finales.
The Doctor regenerating should have to be the Doctor regenerating. That was seriously crap with the hand.
They should have done more with the Daleks. It could have gone somewhere with 'beware of your pride' or something.
So sorry for Donna sad . I LIKED Donna. She's my favorite companion so far. Didn't stand there and gawk at the Doctor the whole time, she made herself important on her own.

I didn't get that either...poor rejected Dalek Caan =( I will write up a small summary about my thoughts of this episode, once I get over my confusion, frustration, sadness, joy, anger and general 'WTF?'-ery 3nodding Other than that I think it was a very good episode.

Dalek Caan should've been the next K9. The Doctor and his pet crazy Dalek that he takes out every once and a while to break the ice at awkward dinner parties. "One will still dieeee! Gaahahaha!" xp

Dalek Caan can see the whole of time. How is that not useful to have around?
'Caan, will it rain tomorrow?' 'ONE WILL STILL DIIEEEE!' '...That's a no, then?'

Well, the Doctor can see the whole of time too. You know what'd be funny? The Doctor and Caan having a conversation in which neither of them spoke because each knew what the other was going to say anyway. Then whoever the new companion gets irritated because she has no freaking idea whats going on. Then Caan shouts 'ONE WILL STILL DIEEEEE!!!!' and the Doctor mutters 'I knew you were going to say that'.

You must be mad...Was I the only one who wondered why the daleks (or Caan himself, assuming he was sane enough to do it) didn't repair Dalek Caan's shell? I loved being able to see that one crazy eye, and it was great to look at, but seeing as how the daleks were keeping him alive and all, I wonder why they didn't close him back up again like a respectable dalek. Guess he was just too crazy to bother with? ...or you wouldn't have come here.

Some people show off their beauty because they want the world to see it... Others try to hide it... --------------------------------------- It was amazing,
The best bit was, everything me and some friends had predicted, never happened, making it even more thrilling
--------------------------------------- Because they want the world to see something else..

I'm so glad I avoided this guild until I was caught up with everything in the whoniverse! I'm glad I finished torchwood and Sarah Jane before finishing Dr. Who. I was wholeheartedly disappointed with the whole thing! I realize they were trying to tie everything together and be unique but they forgot that they said that the move WAS official cannon so the doctor is already half human. I do see how Donna leaving that way was poetic because she realized she was the most important person and that she had to go back to being nothing. She, however was not my favorite companion so I wasn't so sad to see her go. I love that they tried to tie in the spinoffs but they could have done it so much better. It just seems like the finale was written first draft and the producers were like "OK we're doing it, what, no we don't have time to edit anything!" Rose was the most disappointing to me. I just think she was nothing like she should have been. Yes she has been trying to find the doctor but not that much time has passed to account for her excelled intelligence, and she was useless throughout the whole 3 episodes! She did not have any of her usual spunk. I'm glad to see that they saved torchwood but I don't really like the idea of mickey replacing Tosh. All in all I think this was just too rushed and should have been waaay better. The concept was great they just should have taken a little more time to develop it.

Okay, I've now seen "Journey's End" several times, and watched it and "The Stolen Earth" back-to-back, and let's face it, people, it was one heckuva thrill-ride. The whole "three-fold man" thing gave us handy (ooops, sorry) solutions to both Rose and Donna's storylines, but what has bugged me most were the rather convenient "rescues" for Torchwood and Sarah-Jane - Tosh "just happened" to have been working on the ideal defence, Mickey and Rose's mum dimension-jump in at just the right moment to stop SJ getting exterminated.
Now, I had imagined the "three fold man" thing as being resolved in a "Three Doctors" situation, with Tennant (10), Ecclestone (9), and McGann ( 8 ); 10 staying in the TARDIS going "Huh?" as his regeneration apparently stalls, whilst 9 appears at Torchwood (courtesy of The Rift?) and helps out Gwen and Ianto, whilst 8 arrives to save SJ in the nick of time. None of them realise exactly what's happened until they meet up at the Crucible, and combine their intellects to stop the Dalek master-plan.
Just my thoughts on the matter; it would've worked. Congratulations to the Beeb for keeping the whole thing quiet.
