Last of the Wilds by Nightwish. I can play it on my flute but it would sound so much cooler with the full band.

i would absolutely LOVE for our marching band to play 241 by reel big fish. its such a catchy tune!

I really want to do a Fantasmic show for marching band two years from now (the next 5A state year in TX). It'd also be my senior year, which would be awesome.
For concert, there's about a million and one things I want to play, but chances are none of them will get picked. A lot of them I've heard other bands play recently, and some our band wouldn't be able to play due to instrumentation, lack of effort, etc. As a short list with reasons why we probably won't play them, I want to play:
Shortcut Home (top band played it on our most recent concert/we tried it last year, but few people worked on their part)
Tears of Life/The Legend Comes to Life (both are old Pokemon movie tunes that are orchestrated)
Fantasy on a Japanese Folk Song (we played a small section of it in our marching show last year)

We must have the coolest band teacher ever cause I have played so many of the songs you guys wanna play. We played like all of the beatles songs, some anime stuff and I have no idea how anyone got him to do that but hey good for them, and way to much pep band music. Our whole band are nerds cause we only have like 364 people in our school. Anyway I kind of wanna play some music from corps bride cause its so cool.

I reallllly really wanna play Holst Jupiter from the Planets in orchestra, its such a cool piece.
I also wanna play Mahler: Symphony No. 5 in C sharp minor. third movement preferably. The horn part is gorgeous. I'm gonna wait till the end of junior year to ask the orchestra director if we can play it when I'm a senior so I'll get first part . The horn part is gorgeous! I love it! rofl

ChikoTsukino i really like the frank ticheli pieces my church band plays them all the time but my school band don't i want to play an american elegy, shenandoah, and a jubilant overture [[which is an alfred reed piece]] He does have some really good stuff out there.
