Stubbs... I remember seeing something like that. YOU were the undead menace. I read previews that showed the ability to detach your hand and use it to control people, eat people, and of course make zombie servants that would eat your enemies.
Dotd again, so it was a disease, then? I had a theory about it being, as the specially emphasized man's message said, tortured souls from hell. "when there is no more room in hell... the dead... will walk the earth" It may have started with the last soul that went down there, hell reached a capacity, (that could happen? who knew?) and the souls that had alreadly been down there, driven completely mad by their suffering, would gain control of a newly deceased brain. When thier heads were damaged, their soul would get flung back to hell, rejected, and set to another corpse with the burning desire to satisfy their satanic hunger. Of course, that wouldn't explain why the lady turned about a week after being scratched. Supporting the demonic possesion theory, in the credits they show the survivors' progress in that little boat. As they sail, a small raft drifts close enough that they can check it for anything they could use, they look in a cooler and find a bloody head, still moving. Or, could a disease do that as well?

*Masters of Horror* WAIT PAUSE THIS RIGHT HERE
When did the day of the dead remake come out? TELL ME. Last I checked it was just speculation! AM I OUT OF THE LOOP?
Also: The Dawn of the Dead remake never said what is was did they? It may have been a virus, but George Romero wasn't involved in the remake. Originally his were about radiation, I believe is the official word on that. That quote you are referring to is from the book of revelations, I think. Or some crazy christian propaganda like that anyway.
The bloody head is probably because Aqua is right and it was a disease. According to most disease zombie theorists, as long as the brain is intact it will seek out human flesh.
You don't necessarily die of the wound, because if the wound isn't life threatening then it'd be stupid to die from it. That's why it took that girl like a week to die. She died of the virus, not the scratch. Resident Evil takes so long because the T-virus mutates your cells and I guess that takes a bit. Nanobots might have been a friend and I talking about possible theories, but they could be transfered just by touching someone. Nanobots are ******** creepy. *is the best guild evar*

The remake has been out since 2004, http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0363547/ It has that guy from Medium in it, and it starts of with a little girl eating the main character's boyfriend's neck. Awesome.

*Masters of Horror* K, watched it last night. I liked it! I guess most people don't. But I was routing for the bad guy the whole time. He may have been an a*****e, but he was the only one with any sense. And he was cute, for someone who's prolly like 40. *is the best guild evar*

Another strange thing with zombies; why don't they eat all of the flesh? Do they smell too much of the virus in their dinner's meat and turn away from it? That may explain why they don't eat eachother. Why only live human meat most of the time? I've seen a few zombies (probobly one of the first infected) that look like they were never even touched, all exposed skin is still there.

*Masters of Horror* Why don't lions strip their kill to the bones? Why don't they eat each other?
Answer those questions, and you shall find the answers you seek. *is the best guild evar*
