 "We should have your men come back to the safety of the castle. Now that I'm organizing the guards. I sure we can handle things here. The archers should be up on the gates now so they will be dealt with shortly. As for the so called glowing. That was probably the alcohol talking. I can assure you that no glowing has happened around here that wasn't from a lamp or fire." Grant said in reassurance. He was unaware if anyone had talked to Dainne about the glowing lite and didn't want to be the one who gave that information out.

He sighed, disappointed in the man. He turned and gazed out upon the battlefield, taking stock of the situation. Shaking his head he turned to the group before him and looked at Grant once more. "I do not agree with your suggestion to bring my friends back. Not only does it go against my principles, but it goes against theirs as well. They fight for their own reasons, as well as for that which is right. If you want them to return, I suggest you send someone to go get them, and pray your messengers make it through the enemy unscathed, for if I go to them, I assure you I will not return until the force has been repelled. The only reason I stay now is because the Queen requested it.

She was surprised at how many people had come in such a short time. All she expected was Niro, and somehow she also got Ric, Jewlet and Grant. Ah yes, Grant. She'd have to make note of talking to him once the chaos was done. Dainne and Grant were speaking, and she felt it necessary to interrupt. "We will honor those principles. Now that that problem has been solved we must make haste to the war room, shall we not?" The Queen acknowledged Jewlet and Niro with a nod of her head and a light smile. Her son received a mothering, apologetic glance. Prince Dainne had said something about the glowing, she realized. He did not know what caused it, but he knew of it and suspected more because of Grant's thin excuse. Still, they could not tell him the truth. They did not know if his intentions were truly noble quite yet.
"Ric, I'm glad you're here. I was getting worried." There was a sadness in her face as she said it, but it quickly dissipated. "I suppose there is nothing we an do about Zireno now, he's already gone off." She was fretting in her mind always about Zireno, but she knew he would be okay. It was not as if he was going alone. No, her son was not so conceited. He was well-trained in the art of war and he would take a squad with him.

 Ric glance to the side, not quit sure what to say to his mother. "You worry too much mother." He looked back up to here, "As for Zi, he has his paladins with him over by the gates. From what I can see, he seems to be waiting...for once. Perhaps for the first gate to collapse, that way he and his men will be the first wave." Ric wasn't too keen on Zireno's plan, but wasting time like this won't help. "In any case, we need a plan and fast. Captain, lead the way to the war room. We can discuss your plan on the way."

Grant spoke to Dainne. "Well we will discuss that in the war room." Grant turned to every one. "Please everyone this way." Motioning with his left hand back down the stairs to the first floor he put his right hand on the small of Jewlets back and started walking down the stairs. As everyone reached the blue room Grant looked to Jewlet. "Can you keep prince dainne company here wile we discuss defensive matters?" He asked.

 Jewlet kept her eyes down as she was taught to. Quietly she listened to them talk. She would not have much to do and that bothered her a little. She looked over at Grant with a frown when he lied to Dainne. Everyone knew about it and it already had spread through the city like a wild fire the next day. So why lie about it? She put her head back down and smiled lightly as she could tell Dainne was not believing Grant. "Idiot." She whispered lowly under her breath. Jewlet looked at Grant as they went down the stairs. "Yes, Sir Grant." She in a flat voice and then bowed. She freed her self and walked over to Dainne and greeted him properly. "Good day Prince Dainne. I am Jewlet and I will be your company for the time being." She stood up straight and smiled lightly. "Shall we take a seat?" She motioned to a sitting area that was close by.

Before Jewlet got away from him Grant kissed her lightly on the cheek. "Thanks. I'll be quick." He whispered before walking into the blue room. Walking over to a chair he sat down and waited for everyone to enter.

 Niro raised an eyebrow at Grant after the kiss. Wow...who would have thought? He shook his head and enter inside the blue room. Once inside, he noticed the map of Dakrim with little wooden powns on it. He walked over to the table to get a better understanding of what Grant was planing.

She smiled for once. "I know I do, but it's hard not to worry about you boys." The Queen hoped Ric would know it as a true smile. If the time ever came when she could no longer smile as if she meant it, she knew it would be time for her to step away from the affairs of the kingdom. As they entered the war room the Queen came up to the table with Niro, taking little note of the kiss between Grant and Jewlet. It was about time he got emotionally attached to a woman. Anyway, she looked over at Prince Dainne to see if there was anything in his face that could give away, but found nothing. She let him be with Jewlet after that glance and peered at the map.
Quietly, she wanted for Grant.

He looked up at Jewlet, gazing at her questioningly. "My Lady Jewlet, do you enjoy waiting for decisions to be made when the obvious choice is right before our eyes? A lone prince and his Knights are soon to be one of the few forces fighting this invasion, while the rest deliberate upon how to repel them. This is folly. Why not send what can be sent safely to forstal anymore advances? Every moment I waste here is another moment my men can die." Sighing he faced the door and began to concentrate. Slowly he began to ignore all else around him, focusing his enhanced hearing upon the voices speaking within. Nothing said would not be heard by him. Dainne absolutely refused to be left in the dark about events that concerned his and his men's safety.

Jewlet walked after Dainne and then took a seat herself. She looked at him seeing the questioning gaze. 'Hm...' She put her head down and cleared a thought from her mind. She thought about what he was saying. It was true that there were most obvious choses, but they rather try to make a chose that may work better even if it took a lot of time. "I do not. It should be easy to see the chose that needs to be taken, but in haste people can become blind to it." She looked at him as she spoke. "A lone prince... You chose to only fight with your men, Prince Dainne. That 'tis not the best idea in some cases and this maybe one of them." She placed her hands in her laps and shut her eyes. "That maybe true. Have you ever tried to get them a message sense you can not escape the castle for the time being?" She frowned and shut her eyes. "Prince Dainne Alexander Vadlionne, what are you here for?" She said as she used her powers, to get his attention, she lifted the chair Dainne sat in a few inches off the ground. She opened her eyes and stared blankly at him with her light purple eyes.

((Ya know Nex... I'm sorry but your ability to move things with your mind... as is the case with telekinesis have no power to figure out that I even have augmented hearing, much less are able to tell when I choose to up the amplification of it. Thusly.... I'm going to ignore that part of your post.))

((lets not decide to ignore it until she has a chance to change it. I don't want people getting into fights over stuff being ignored. agreed? Nex, he makes a valid point. Can you come up with another reason she would know or edit the post so that she doesn't?))
