So preoccupied with the sight of Lin, he wasn't controlling his powers as he quietly walked through the nature towards her. With every step, the plants around him was drained. Of life, of color. They ended up shriveling up and turning as black as ash. When he reached Lin, he created an overcast that covered the sun from her-- as if there was much sun left. "Hello there, youngster." he said very quickly, in an attempt to scare her. He probably did.

Lin had been sitting on a stone bench that was partially hidden away in tall bushes and many flowers when all of a sudden, the plants around Lin started to die! She gasped and looked around, horrified and helpless. What was going on?! And then, a darkness settled over her, blocking out the setting sun. Before she could look up, though, she heard a low voice behind her. She quickly turned with a glare on her face for whoever it was behind her. When she saw Dymetri, her glare somewhat faded and was replaced with a startled, unprepared expression. After hearing and learning all that she had today, the last thing she was ready for was a direct encounter with a vampire, let alone Mr. Valen. She sighed and brushed back a strand of hair behind her ear. In the morning, her hair had been in a bun. When she had come out to the gardens after her last class, she had let it down and darkened it. Her school had taught all of its students how to change small appearances about a person, such as hair color, length and style. "What do you want, Mr. Valen?" That was the most rude greeting she had ever given anyone.

Whirling the massive bulk with relative ease, he spun on his heels and unleashed a blue beam of energy. In moments, every terminal or machine that may have once passed as a computer was left as molten metal. "Time's up Mr. Enlil. Leave, join me as an adviser, or become an experiment in my holding tanks like little H-2a436 here." He said, waving the enormous rifle to Horus.

Ialo twitched, his pupils shrinking as the room was flooded with light. "His name is Horus." He took a deep breath, looking at the destruction. His father warned him several times that there would be friction in the company, and that someone would always be trying to take it over. Ialo had prepared for this day. The terminals were no great loss, only in hours of labor. Everything he needed was backed up, all copies deleted. And much of the top-secret information, prototypes that Ialo had been working on, were committed safely to memory with no digital record or paper trail. Everything else the company had ever done was recorded on fifteen white satellites. He held his hands up in surrender, the hacked phone falling to the floor and short-circuited, self-destructing.
"Let them go. I don't care about me. I don't have to win, I just have to not lose. And if I have to, I will take you and this entire building and everyone in it with me." Granted, the threat was extreme, destroying an entire building? Wouldn't Set and Horus die too?

[[*slaps boom*]]
He smirked. "Call me Dymetri, why don't you. It's not like you'll ever be my student." He sat down next to her and pulled out a cigarette. "Your hair looks better down, by the way. If you care about your appearance more than school, you might actually make a boy very lucky one night." he said with a smile. It lit up the cig and took a drag. He made a small letter O with his puff of smoke as he exhaled. He sat with his legs open carelessly, his back hunched slightly because he rested his elbow on his knee. That same knee was touching Lin's, but he made no point to further this contact. "What are you doing here, by the way."

Lin felt the knee resting against hers, and she wanted to pull it away, but there was something that made her leave it right where it was. Some pull... Plus, after what she'd experienced today, she wasn't entirely sure about much right now. Except that this man was very infuriating.
She glared darkly at Dymetri. "Schooling is the most important thing to me, MR. Valen." She accented the 'Mr.' so that he was sure to catch the fact that she did not call him Dymetri as he had asked.
"Appearance is important, but only so that you will portray how studious and professional you are and so that you will be a good representation for your school or work place. I could care less about ensnaring a man."
Yes, she had said man instead of boy. She also tried very hard not to inhale that detestable cigarette smoke.

Dymetri took another drag. "You need a different view upon the world." he said softly. "I'm not saying you're wrong.." He slowly turned his head so he could meet his eyes with hers, holding his breath so the smoke doesn't hit her much. His eyes were a shiny platinum-- a huge contrast from his deep, almost scratchy, voice. As she spoke, he noticed her voice was.. breathy. It accentuated the natural female trait of having a breathy voice. It was almost sexy. He looked away. "Heh. I should apologize." he said, even softer, looking down. He let the half-done cigarette drop and he stepped on it. "It's different if you live forever. You could have fun in the beginning and work when you need to.." He lifted a hand to scratch along his chin where stubble began to show. "Mortals need to think as you do. You need to work to have a better time working and when you're done working, you live. But by then you're too old to really live.. at least if it involves other people that aren't sixty-four." he said with a smirk. He looked at her again, his hair hiding the top of his eyes. "Haven't you ever wanted to just go out one day and go to a club illegally? Haven't you wanted to wear a less revealing outfit and taunt men but then come home untouched?" He leaned closer to her, their noses almost touching. "Have you even tried a Starbucks coffee?"

"Child, this only proves your naivety. To earn yourself a name in this world, you must be born. In the case that your parents do not name you, the orphanage or your adoptive family will. These two, had none of those. They had no parents, no orphanage, no adoptive family. All they know is what we've taught them. I do acknowledge their existence though, and hence they've gained designations. Neither shall ever have a true name." He lowered the rifle and set Ialo in his sights. The massive swirl of blue energy could be seen deep within the massive gun.

Ella woke up to the baby's crying. She pulled herself to her feet and walked over to him. "Aw." She smiled knowing well it was feeding time. "Oh, I know the name now, Kreshnik." She smiled and then went on to the feed Kreshnik. [[Kreshnik- meaning knight. Yes finally I figured out a name!]]

Lin was finding it quite hard to breathe at the moment. Mr. Talen's.... Dymetri's eyes were so clear and bright. That wasn't what surprised her, though. She had expected his eyes to look different up close. She wasn't sure what, but someone who was pure evil was supposed to have different eyes. But his looked completely normal. Well, there was a slight ethereal quality to them, but nothing that jumped out at her yelling 'evil!'.
And yes, he was quite close to her. A man had never been this close to her. It wasn't proper. So why wasn't she say anything to him, asking him to keep a proper distance? She didn't know at that point... and she honestly didn't care.
She did grow slightly confused, though, at the mention of some things that she had never heard of before. Go to a club illegally? She thought she had heard some girls talking about that from a different school when Bai Ching visited different areas in the East, but she hadn't known what they meant.
And coffee... Something coffee... "A what? I believe I... have heard of... coffee in the past, but I don't know about the specific kind you are... mentioning." She was quite surprised at the sound of her own voice. It was very soft, low, and breathy.

Ialo tried edging to the side a little bit, but the gun just followed him. There were still more hidden machines in the walls and ceiling, but the moment they came out, this man would just fry them. He frowned, thinking. He could call some of the teachers at the school for backup, but that would cause a huge commotion - not there wasn't one already. His heart falling, Ialo suddenly realized that they must have locked down the entire building, or hidden this very well, because no one else besides the other soldiers (yes, Ialo decided they must be soldiers of some sort) were around.
"... If you kill me, you know what you lose, right? Just because you've destroyed every terminal in this room, that's just a drop in the bucket. You've destroyed 23 machines." Ialo's mind was in overdrive, taking inventory of every tactic at his disposal. "That was all twelve terminals, but only six cameras, three microphones, and two holographic projectors." Ialo looked up slowly, at the man, right into his eyes and laughed. He was laughing. "Never mind every single other computer in this building! What now?"

His jaw dropped. "Starbucks is the largest coffee company in the world." he said, sounding out each word. He blinked. "There is at least one in every single place you go in the world. Except for maybe Africa." He stood up in front of her and extended his hand. "Would you be insulted if I wanted to take you to try one? My treat." he said, smiling a genuine smile. "No car, no anything. Just the amazing powers of the undead." He smirked. "We could even race, if you'd like. The closest one is over the ocean to Iceland. And don't worry, the myth about vampires being unable to cross a body of water without their coffin isn't real, so you have no advantage if you were to take my offer."

Oh dammit! It was so hard for her to refuse a challenge, especially from him, considering he was a vampire. She had to show how much more powerful elves were.
She stood up, not daring to take his hand, and her eyes were bright blue with the challenge. "Alright. I accept your challenge. However, it is best if you stop mentioning your... well, what you are."
She then smirked. "Ready, set, go." She concentrated very hard, and for the first time, she was able to turn into her hummingbird form on command! And quite quickly.
Immediately, she zoomed in the direction of the ocean.

He stood there and watched her fly away. "A bird." he shook his head in amusement. "Elves." He jumped about fifty feet into the air and as gravity took it's effect, his body began to break apart into smaller and smaller pieces until he turned into mist. It began to travel in the same direction Lin left, going faster and faster. The mist had a purple glow to it and if you had been an obstacle in it's path, you'd heard a soft humming noise as it passed you. He was close to Lin and decided to play around with her. He kept at her pace and was right behind her. He was close enough so that she could sense him. He loved to toy with her. They were already above the ocean when he began moving so that she was in the center of his indigo mist.
