Adalyn's stomach rumbled. She hadn't had a bite to eat. Surely she must be disappointing the Queen. This did not sit well with her. She decided to take her anger out on the nearest target - Astra.
Adalyn charged at her, hoping to land a solid bite.

Most of the time the interactions with these things happened so quick Eirian hadn't had a chance to appreciate how menacing they looked. Dark red eyes and a creepy smile dripping with blood would fix anyone in their tracks. When he spoke, the words practically froze Eirian's blood. "When you join us..." The scratch down their back seemed to tingle at these words. It was in their daze that the cannibal slashed Eirian across the chest. The fey hybrid watched helplessly as he was then lost to the crowd. Eirian glanced down at their new wound and was glad, not for the first time, not to have the flower of their mother's people. That attack could have spelled their end. Then, after hearing a whistle come from the direction the cannibal had run, a creature fell from the ceiling. Eirian had just enough time to stupidly look up and then back at him before he lunged at them. With a cry they fell to the floor with the cannibal landing on top. Pain washed through Eirian and they cried out while struggling to be let go. He was too strong for them to throw off. Instead Eirian had to watch as the creature licked their blood from his nails as if it was simply chocolate. Bile rose up in their mouth. The cannibal stood but before Eirian could do more than sit up a little, he placed his still-bloody finger on their forehead. Instantly the fey hybrid stilled, unsure what was about to happen. The nail glided smoothly down their face before stopping just before their nose. Eirian could feel the smear of their own blood, cool now, and tightening the skin around it as it dried quickly. A sickening smile and a boop to their nose and the monster was gone to the rafters. Eirian, still mostly on the ground, turned and threw up. Taking a moment to draw out their amulet from their pocket, Eirian healed themselves just a little.The blood that had been pouring from their wounds slowed down and started to congeal. Content with the patch job, they fey hybrid stood up. They wiped their tears from their eyes and what was left of the sick around their mouth. Now wasn't the time to be weak.

I was Bitten!Warg Attacking!HP: 69/70 Damage Caused: 4 (Phobos)  The room had suddenly erupted into chaos. As soon as the older wargs started fighting, it seemed everyone else was getting into it. s**t, he even saw Coco. The others were likely here too... he didn't want to think about that! Kingston looked and saw a dryad, or what was once a dryad, attacking some students that he vaguely recognized, and it didn't sit well with him. He lunged at the infected called Phobos. They seemed to like picking on one student in particular? Wel Kingston was going to pick on them He charged in snarling, claws outstretched to attempt to rip the dryad apart.

Astra had not been expecting Adalyn to jump her. Neither had she expected for her to try to take a bite! What was even the point of this all? She yanked her arm away before the hybrid had a chance to tear away a chunk of flesh, and tried kicking her in the face to get her away. That, at least, got the message through, loud and clear.
Stop. Breathe. Now was not the time to panic, or to cry.
"You're better than this," she mumbled to herself, ignoring Adalyn. At least this bite wasn't likely to infect her, or if it would, the infection would take much, much longer to take hold. No, she had bigger fish to fry– like that Naiad!

After her strike, Astra watched carefully, moving around Hiroshi and keeping an eye out for whomever might decide to turn her into a snack. As soon as she had, she once again shied back, pressing against the wall and checking in all directions to see if there was someone else who'd try to take advantage of her distraction. This time, it seemed, she might have struck lucky.
Emboldened by the ability to have struck him twice without consequence, the girl tried again, reaching out and letting the electricity arc and crackle to hit the perverted naiad, and then tucking herself back against the wall again.

I was Bitten!Warg Attacking!HP: 69/70 Damage Caused: 4 (Phobos) Perhaps it was because he was in warg form, or perhaps because he just saw his friends getting attacked by monsters, turning into monsters, but Kingston was mad and seeing how this... thing had just attacked Eirian, who was a very nice person, Kingston continued to attack Phobos. Why? Why had so many of them been bitten? Why did they have to fight against their friends? He didn't want to become one of them. As he thought about it, the bite on his arm seemed to throb, and it just made him even more mad. He clawed at the dryad again.

The last attack hitting and her ability to evade notice had emboldened the little geist hybrid. Astra saw the Naiad getting further away from where she was– out of reach. So she did the natural thing– she followed. Careful to avoid the knots and clusters of people fighting, she slipped ahead, just far enough to let loose a single crack of electricity before making a prodigious retreat.
Maybe things weren't going as bad as they felt, right now. She was helping! She was doing good. And if she could help fell this monster, well, then the others could do the same, too.

I was Bitten!Warg Attacking!HP: 69/70 Damage Caused: 4 (Phobos) It wasn't enough. It might never be enough. These creatures had caused so much hurt, so much pain to the people Kingston cared about. He had been so optimistic before, that maybe this was just a misunderstanding, maybe they could have been reasoned with, and they could talk this out, but after everything he'd seen tonight, he didn't think that was possible. The only thing he could think of was "Why must you hurt people who never hurt you? Go hunt down the ones that did this to you, and leave my friends alone." That was the only thought going through his mind as he attacked the dryad again.

Man, this whole 'targeting and then getting out of the way before he caught who had attacked him' thing was really working out for Astra. Yes, her leg hurt from where it had been bitten when she paused and paid attention to it, but the adrenaline was more than enough to let her ignore the thing, and she imagined that if it had somehow been infected, that she'd have been able to feel the difference somehow.
She darted forwards again, weaving between a couple people before striking with an arcing bolt of lightning, and then disappearing back into the crowd.

I was Bitten!Warg Attacking!HP: 69/70 Damage Caused: 4 (Phobos) There was so much noise going on around him, it was almost maddening. There were people screaming in terror and pain, the sounds of his once friends biting into people, the clashing of weapons and... UGH! He wanted it to just... STOP! Kingston went in low for an attack, aiming for Phobos' knee with as much strength as he could muster.

As pumped up on adrenaline as she was, Astra wasn't going to stop anytime soon. She lunged forward again, this time losing sight of Hiroshi, but not focusing on that. No, she just... had to... get this fish, and the best way to do it was to keep on his tail!
She scoured the crowds, moving to dodge someone lunging at her and jogging off before they hopefully decided to make a chase of it.
As soon as she spied the Naiad, she started carefully winding towards him, before reaching her amulet out again and letting him have it.

Amulet Attack!Amulet Element: Electricity HP: 55/60 Damage Caused: 4 (2+Type Advantage) Target: Javlin There was no ostensible reaction, yet again. No charring, no sudden limping, no writhing for some amount of time before finally composing itself again... it just continued to juggernaut through the crowd, scratching and slashing. Astra was thoroughly detached right now, otherwise, they were certain they'd be far more heavily affected by the events unfolding around them. Instead, they would strike out again, as often as would be needed. Again, and again, and again, and again, until they were dead and the Academy was safe and she could go home to her family and things could be normal again.

Amulet Attack!Amulet Element: Wind HP: 54/60 Damage Caused: 4 Chervil nodded at his friend as he narrowly missed being attacked by himself; really it was more his fault for getting too close right after they had been attacked. "It's alright; no harm don-" Suddenly he saw a new creature that he hadn't yet encountered barrel towards him, and before he had a chance to do anything, it took hold of his arm and sank its foul teeth deep, through his sweater and into his bark-like flesh.
The pain was excruciating, and in spite of himself he felt sadness at it; had it hurt so much for his friends? He angrily yanked his arm back,glaring at the shreds and marks of sharp, needly teeth.
He managed a smile as Eirian used their amulet to take some of the edge off his fresh injuries. He had already lost one of his friends; he was not about to lose this one. "I've got your back!" he called out to them. "Let's take them together!" He suddenly spotted a familiar face in the crowd of creatures and aimed a blast at it; if he remembered correctly, his wind amulet had been particularly effective.

Amulet Attack!Amulet Element: Electricity HP: 35/60 Damage Caused: 2 Aedus felt a little better feeling Eirian's healing amulet effect him, he aimed his own amulet at Phobos again and attacked. This was madness this whole battle was crazy.
