The teachers had been summoned to help keep those within the auditorium safe. Kirket had busied himself setting up comfort wards around the room to ease tensions, and occasionally checked in with small groups of students to gauge the level of unease of the group. Ava has not been seen since, as she has been busy securing the school with enchantments and spells. Finally, shortly after the disturbing broadcast, she arrives, slipping soundlessly into the auditorium.
A hand rose once she was noticed, a spell cast to block off sound nearby her as she leaned in to speak to a teacher. They spoke quickly to one another, Ava's face flickering from concern to fear before hardening as she released the spell. Calmly, she strolled towards the stage, taking her place in the middle.
"Below has issued a state of emergency. Major schools have been ordered to keep those they have within their building for safety. Safe houses have also been created for those who were not at a school at the time. I urge children to call parents if they can. We will be passing cellphones to ensure everyone who needs to contact someone can." She paused as those within the room began yelling, questions flung and frightened comments barraging her. Ava stepped backwards slightly, taking a moment to observe the fear amongst the crowd before, with a careful hand raise, she attempted to direct attention back to herself.
"I understand you are afraid, and we lack the answers. I know as much as you do, and unfortunately no one who could know more is answering our requests. For the time being, please understand we need you to stay here out of safety. I cannot let you leave, and I am incredibly sorry for this. I would never dream of trapping my students or outsiders if it wasn't absolutely necessary." Her head turned, hand raising to gesture towards Mink, the grimm tribe leader, who had begun dragging large boxes into the room, slipping past the enchantment safely thanks to Ava.
"We have food and water, and the staff will listen to needs and try and secure them. Once we can ensure the building is safe I will release the barrier in this room so you may travel across the school safely. Until then, please rest."
With this, Ava descended the stage, traveling to assist Mink. Meanwhile, the head caretaker, Annabelle, lurked around, assisting any young juniors or freshlings who may need help.
What to Do: Currently, there isn't much to do except getting to know one another and theorizing what is happening. Attempting to leave will only result in being escorted back by police, and the doors are magically sealed for now. There isn't a way out, so you might as well get comfy where you are.
If you wish to talk to Kirket, please quote nepsah. If you wish to talk to Ava, Mink, or Annabelle, please quote Yushika. As a note, Ava and Mink are very busy and may give abrupt and quick responses.
The next round will begin November 4th, 2016.
There may be minor updates before then to this thread, so keep an eye out while RPing.
Note: Your character can be found here if they were near the academy at the time of the mass evacuation.

Normally things didn't really phase Lilo, but there was just something that didn't sit well with them. Well...to be fair it was really everything that didn't sit well with the young Baphomet. Lilo didn't have parents that they were close to and really didn't have many friends. So at this point they were just really concerned about their own safety. That and the numerous people that were hurried into the building.
Lilo would just have to make the best of the situation.
Who were they kidding? There was no best case scenario. Lilo tried to hide the worry that was engulfing their body as they walked calmly over to grab a few water bottles to hand out to others. "Does any one want something to drink? Anyone. At all?" At this point they really just wanted something. Anything to take their mind off of the matter currently unfolding.

It all happened so fast, Eilwen had lost track of her own brother when panic set into the crowd on the festival ground. She had tried lingering behind, Erion had gone into a house of Mirrors when the alarm had gone off and the evacuating had started. She had no idea what the cause of it was, but she did know that people weren't very organized when they were thrown into a mass panic. "Erion!" She had called out to him, where had he gone? Did someone take him? She tried going into the house of mirrors after him, but the owners had shooed her away, ushering her toward the auditorium. They assured her that her brother had to be on his way there as well. Everyone was. She backed off and tried wandering around a bit more before someone basically had to start dragging her toward the safe zone. Someone she'd even been separated from Fakir....
Hopefully someone had ushered him into the Auditorium, but she was honestly terrified that he had found somewhere outside to hide and that whatever was happening out there would get to him. Inside the auditorium wasn't any better. Nightmares and Daydreams alike were angry, terrified, and confused. Kirket was doing his best to help calm people down, but she wasn't in the mood to be calm now. She asked those around her if they'd seen a young Chimera with colors like herself, but it didn't seem like anyone had really bothered to pay attention to others around them in the panic.
"Erion!" She called out again, but her voice was drowned out by the other panicked voices in the room. Didn't people know you were supposed to remain calm in these sort of situations? She bent down to try peeking around all of the busy individuals, only to have one of her tails stepped on. She slung shipped her tail out, thumping it into the person responsible. "Watch where you're going!" Eilwen didn't even know she had it in her to talk to people like that, but the look on her face must have been scary because the Nightmare responsible moved away from her in a quick fashion. Well, that made her feel even worse about herself.
It was then that the screaming started, and then static. She found herself close to one of the displays when the broadcast started. Despite the room being quiet, it would be a great chance for her to yell for Erion again, she couldn't take her eyes off the screen. Was this for real? This wasn't really happening, it couldn't be. The broadcast set people into a frenzy all over again and she just stood there, staring at the now blank screen. They would be safe here, right? Erion was definitely in this building somewhere. Not outside and scarred out of his mind. What was she going to do if he got hurt? She didn't even realize that she was crying, but she could feel her usual panic starting to creep in on her. She could not afford to have an attack right now. Not with all these others around....
Anyone!
Feel free to interact with Eilwen, although she's a little shaken up right now. QAQ;;

Coco was in a near panic and tears when she heard the announcement, she had been at the festival trying to win prizes for her hopefully soon to be girlfriend and now there was this crazy announcement and she had to go to the academy shelter. She made her way to the shelter and listened to the broadcast. She was terrified tears running down her face, were vampires or zombies coming to eat them all?? Coco bit her lip and huddled on the floor, wishing Calypso was there with her. What if Coco never got to see Calie again?? What if a monster came and ate her face off?? What if one of the creatures got her and drank all of her blood?? Coco's fears ran around in her head till Ava got up on stage and Coco felt like she could breathe again, she was confident that as long as the headmistress was here they would be ok, the teachers and caretakers wouldn't let monsters eat the students faces off. Coco didn't get up to get food or anything she was too nervous worrying about this lockdown. What would become of them all??
Kunibert, for his part, was enraged. How dare something terrible happen today?! He'd been having a wonderful day! He'd gone trick-or-treating with friends--well, okay, he'd gone to a haunted house, same diff--he'd gotten a new rat, and he and his friends had just been settling down to watch some scary movies, and then this...this utter nonsense happened! Kuni grumbled at the announcement over the loudspeakers and went down to the auditorium. Grumble, grumble, grumble...However, he disobeyed the order about not bringing his belongings. He brought a small backpack with an e-book in it and, on a whim, he grabbed Mushroom as well. If there was going to be some sort of emergency, then Kuni didn't want to be separated from the 'kit for very long. Mushroom tended to get into trouble when he was unsupervised. With entertainment and a fluffy fox in tow, he headed down to the auditorium with his friends and roommate.
But as soon as they got down there, they were separated. Kuni kept standing on the tips of his wooden toes, trying to see his friends, but there seemed to be no sign of them. Drat! How could they get lost out here?! Well, okay, very easily, but that wasn't the point! The point was, in times of emergency, everyone stuck together. "At least I have you," he murmured to Mushroom. Mushroom whined and licked his cheek.
When the broadcast began, Kuni turned to watch the loudspeaker with a frown. He listened to the entire message. He was aware of a rattling sound--the sound of his leaves shaking and hitting against each other. Whoa, was he, in fact, shaking in anger?
Yes. Yes, he was. "Vhy vould you do zat, you crazy [!!!!]ers?!" he screamed at the loudspeaker. "Make angry UTube videos like a normal person and leave ozer people out of your freak show! Vhy are you going to take it out on us, you jealous [?!<3][!!!!]ers?!"
Still seething at the injustice of it all, still listening to his heart beat loud in his chest, he turned to a nervous Chimera nearby. "You!" he barked. "You're looking for someone, yes? Hold my kit und I vill look for zem for you."

Aedus kept Nim close to him as he heard the announcement and said to her "Come on let's get you to safety." Aedus refused to let anything happen to Nimah. He was worried about his familiars and her's but knew they would find a place to hide, his mission was to get Nim to safety and find out what the hell was going on. Aedus cocked his eyebrow as he listened to the broadcast what was this BS was this some kind of after Hallows eve joke?? Aedus grumbled if this was real someone needed a smack down Aedus was a jerk and a grump sometimes but using stones and freshlings like this was monstrous and now these victims were out for revenge?? What the hell?? Should they be eating the ones who hurt them not causing the damn school to go into lockdown? Aedus turned to Nimah "What do you make of all this??" Then Aedus listened to Ava clearly, they were stuck and that annoyed Aedus had to call his parents and make sure they had gotten to a safe house. He called his mom with his cell phone and she was at one of the safe locations with his dad. Then he turned to Nim to make sure.. Then he remembered she didn't have a family to check in with. This was one time he wouldn't push her away if she needed a hug, he was sure she would be terrified with all this crap going on.
Foras had spent quite the fun evening out with Ganymede, he couldn't say if their relationship had really progressed any further, but at least the two of them had had fun together. This was the first event that they had gone to together, and yes in the back of his mind he was totally counting it as a date. He knew he had feeling for Gany, in fast he was pretty sure everyone knew that, but he was trying to take things slowly, more naturally, after his dear friend had been so hurt before. They had just gotten out of a rather spooky haunted house and were considering getting some snacks when the panic set in around them. Some rude individual bumped into him, nearly toppling him over, which was quite a feat considering his size. Just what was going on here?
He pulled Ganymede in close to him, guarding his small friend with one of his large wings. They needed to get to the Auditorium, but Foras was sort of holding onto some hope that this was some...elaborate prank. And a good one at that. Could the teachers pull something like this off? Well, he highly doubted they would want to really get people into a panic like this. "Don't let go of me, okay?" Foras looked down at Ganymede, trying to get a feel for how his friend was handling this situation. Whatever this was, Foras would make sure they made it out okay.
It wasn't too long before they made their way inside and Foras found a spot against the wall for them to hang out while other Nightmares and Daydreams filled up the large space and moved around, looking for friends and family. It wasn't just Academy students either, but those who had been attending the Festival as well. This was not exactly an ideal situation for anyone.
"This...might not be a prank after all." He sighed, but remained relatively calm. He was sure whatever was going on the teachers at the Academy would know how to deal with it. When the broadcast came on Foras could barely watch it, but his ears caught it all. He didn't want to think about what had become of that hostage, but at least now he was fairly certain that whatever was happening here was real. His hold on Ganymede became tighter, although he was trying to be gentle with his small friend, he knew he wasn't exactly comfortable with this amount of closeness.
"Are you okay?" He asked, worried that someone might have brushed up against his friend in the crowd on their way in, or that he might not be handling this news all that well. He'd be here to comfort him in any way he could.

Kappa had been stuck within his room during the event. Costumes were frightening. People were scary. Everyone scared him. He had thought that if he stayed indoors it'd be safe. No one could hurt him in his room. No one would find him.
But they did.
Not so long ago he had heard a knock at the door and a demand; "Come outside, we need to bring everyone downstairs." He had refused, hiding further in his covers. It didn't matter that it had been a caretaker, and it didn't matter he knew, deep down, they couldn't hurt him. They could want to, but then they'd find their name in the news and body behind bars. That didn't stop him from hiding, and it didn't prevent them from busting the door down when he kept refusing. Kappa screamed when they tried to gently pry him from the bed, and eventually he grew limp. He knew he couldn't fight them.
When he was dragged into the auditorium Kappa fell onto his knees once released, head snapping back as the doors closed. He had tried one last ditch effort to get out, hands slamming into the doors violently. They didn't budge. Magic.
Figures.
And then the broadcast.
The geist had been distracted by the broadcast, mouth parted slightly and eyes wide as they watched the screen. She was coming? Who? They were here to hurt them. Someone wanted to hurt them. Someone wanted to hurt them. Instantly, seconds after the broadcast, the geist bent over, leaning on the back of their heels and clasping their hands over their ears. Too many voices. Too much yelling. Too many people.
Stop. Stop! Stop! Someone help him! They were going to die! They were all going to die! HelphimhelphimhelphimhelphimhelphimheLPHIM!

Trying their hardest Lilo tried to move between the people gathered without causing more turmoil. It felt like one wrong move could send the entire crowd into a frenzied mob of panic. That and Lilo really didn't want to fight anyone, not right now. Without any kind of warning someone near them shouted about something, almost making them drop the few water bottles they had craddled in their arms.
"Hey. Now's really not the time to be shouting at people. We're all on the same side...hopefully. I know this is a stressful situation, but you losing your mind is going to make everyone else even more on edge and I really don't think we can afford that right now." Lilo took the water bottle and nudged it slowly at the other student. "I'm sure who ever your looking for got somewhere safe. They've locked down this whole place. There's nothing we can do right now though, so just drink some water..."
The small seed of doubt had been planted into their head as soon as it slipped out. Were they really all on the same side? What if X had someone on the inside? No, no, no. This was not the thing Lilo needed to be focusing on right now! There was some commotion to the side that caught Lilo's attention. "Well, here's some water if you want some. I'm going to go check on that one over there that seems to be losing it." Lilo wove between a few people, trying to get to the one that seemed to be collapsing.
Trying not to startle the other, Lilo cleared their throat before poking the person in question with a water bottle. "I don't know what you're going through right now, but water is nice. It helps, kind of. Here." Being nice was exhausting. Thank the nine they were out of water bottles to give out to people.

You know. These meds made it hard to be scared.
Perhaps she had the wrong dosage. Maybe she needed to ask her mom if they could get something new, since obviously not feeling wasn't good. But the normally anxious Ella found that, after all of this, it wasn't so frightening. No, wrong, it just hadn't hit her yet. This felt surreal, at best. A dream, even. Everything was a dream these day. Everything seemed as if she wasn't in it, and this particular day wasn't an exception.
Dazed, the hybrid blinked at the screen. Perhaps this was a joke. Some prank some angry Youtubers were playing. Maybe the evacuation was because they THOUGHT something bad was going to happen after seeing the video.
Maybe. Maybe. Maybe.
As long as there was a maybe she wasn't too concerned.
Kuni glared at the Baphomet and snatched a bottle of water from them. "I--am not--losing--my mind!" he shouted. Mushroom whined loudly and nipped his throat. Ugh. He didn't want to hurt Mushroom, and it was obvious he was hurting the pup's ears. He sighed, still keeping his deathglare fixed on the Baphomet. "I am shouting because I am annoyed," he said quietly. "It is not because I am crazy or panicked. I don't do zat." He honestly wasn't sure how much the Baphomet heard--by the time he'd calmed down enough to talk like a normal person, they were gone.

Eilwen was trying to deal with her attack on her own, int the middle of a crowded room with other panicking people. It was definitely not going well, but at least someone was trying to help her out. Well, they were sort of telling her to stop freaking out anyway. How could she not be worried? of course, she knew she shouldn't be shouting. But she just looked at the offered water and shook her head, she was never able to eat or drink anything when she was panicking. "N-no..thanks..." Eilwen said, tears still streaming down her face.
Then to her other side there was someone trying to help her search for her brother, but a fennekit was being shoved into her arms. Oh, it was so fluffy and cute. "R-really? Thanks. He's young and looks a lot like me, but he's not Hallowed either. His name is Erion and we're wearing the same costume too!" Speaking of which, this dinosaur onesie was starting to get pretty hot in the room crammed to the brim with other Nightmares and Daydreams.
"I'll watch you little 'kit for you..." She felt just a tad bit better with someone else helping her out, but it certainly wasn't stopping her tears. Only finding her brother would help out with that. He must be hiding in the Auditorium somewhere, he just must be....

They'd been at the festival, having fun. Waiting for pizza. And then it happened. The alarms started blaring, and everyone had broken into a running mob. Initially, Niamh had been worried she'd be trampled in the crowd but, thank the Nine, Aedus had kept that from happening. They'd all be herded into the auditorium, freshlings, juniors and seniors alike. The tiny Fey kept her wings tucked tight, and close to her friend. As much as she wanted this to be a drill, it didn't seem the case. Then the broadcast came on. She shook a little, after watching it.
She turned to Aedus, eyes wide. "It has to be a joke, right?" But she knew better. It clearly wasn't a joke. Phones were being handed around, students getting to call home. Not that she had anyone to call. She frowned slightly. Her poor familiars! She couldn't call them and tell them they'd be okay. She watched as her friend made his call. "Are your parents okay? I hope they are. Did they take your familiars with them? Shoot, mine are in my dorm. I mean, I left food down any everything... but they're there alone. Well, I mean, I gues they have each other..." She couldn't stop rambling. Her heart was beating fast and she just did not like this whole thing.
And then she saw the Geist. She'd learned in Health class recently about the signs of a panic attack, and this sure looked like one to her. Walked over to them, taking care not to make startling motion. "Hi. Is there something I can get to help you? Or maybe we can repeat something together? I'm Niamh." That's more or less what her instructor had told her to do. She hoped she was remembering it correctly.
She glanced back at Aedus, a rather helpless look on her face. She was scared, but this Geist was clearly having a much worse time than she was. At least she had a friend here.

"Sank you," Kuni said. He handed the squirming Fennekit over to her and patted Mushroom on the head. "Be good," he said. "Don't be a fuss to--vhat's your name?" Come to think of it... "My name's Kunibert Ogdenasson, und zis is Mushroom. He can be a little adventurous, but he's a good fox."
He looked over her costume--a dinosaur onesie, juvenile, but whatever--trying to commit it to memory. He had had time to get changed from his costume, which he was grateful for now. Being dressed in his Haunted Hallows costume during an emergency would be...embarrassing. But whatever. Okay, so white, blue, and red Chimera, very icy-looking. Probably a freshling. He nodded to her. "I'll be back," he said. With that, he set off into the crowd, searching for the child. No sign of him yet. Kuni took a pull from his water bottle, then put it in his backpack. The backpack went onto his back, where it was safe from harm. Where should he start?
A flash of green gave him an answer. He grinned and pushed through the crowd, making a bee-line towards Kirket. When he reached the counselor, he tapped the hybrid on the back. "I'm looking for Erion, he's a vhite und light blue Chimera vis red scales und he's dressed as a dinosaur. Have you seen him? His sibling, I sink zey are, is vorried sick about him."

Dragging you into this, too, because I'm trash like that!
Everything seemed to be a blur to Ashi. He paced in a small spot trying to keep himself calm. This was a real threat, something being made to everyone and it was very possible that he himself could get hurt. And they had everyone locked into into key locations that weren't exactly a secret... The Baphomet's hooves clacked against the ground but all sound other then the cries and paniced voices speaking where the only things to be heard. It was at a time like this that Ashi wished he had a close friend or another that he could be near that would help him feel more attached.
The person on the screen was scary but the 'she' they were referring to seemed far more scary. Ashi was having a hard time digesting the whole thing. He was rather happy sitting in his room sewing a new skirt for one of his classes when the emergency message came through and he was lost in the flow of others brought here.
