Hush thought out loud, so that Phantasm could keep track with him. "Let's see, the first one is Nightwing now, the second one was killed by the Joker, the third splits his time between Batman and the Teen Titans... He used to be replaced by a robot during those absenses, but Joker got that one, too... There was a female Robin, but Batman kicked her out, and she was later killed. That pretty much means that we either get that third Robin, or we settle for Nightwing."

"We need to go for Robin; a child is inexperienced and easy to-"
The Phantasm heard movement form the walls, not knowing where they were coming from, but it sounded like an elevator. The Phantasm held up a finger to Hush as he placed his head to the wall of the building, only to have it move and him step back. The wall split open and from inside was a steel wall that then opened; just like an elevator. From out of the elevator came a person dressed in a trench coat, gas mask, and wearing some kind of uniform. The Phantasm had no clue on who he was and before he could ask Hush, the man started to speak in a Russian accent.
"Greetings Dr. Thomas Elliot and friend, I'm the humble Commissar and I present an invitation to you Dr. Elliot to join a special organization looking for talent...Your friend can't join since he had been vigilanting his way across Gotham murdering criminal leaders...I think he was planning ot murder you..."
That was outrageous; the Phantasm had no desire to kill Hush and who exactly did this guy think he was? Must been a hot shot of some kind just to pop up out of nowhere and invite people to some organization. The Phantasm kept his blade hidden; maybe the Commissar didn’t notice he had it and he could slice him into bits while he talked to Hush; Tylor didn’t like the look of this guy.

Spoiler Spoiler dropped from the small appartment her mother now stayed in letting her cape follow her as she fell and landed softly on her feet. She pulled her hood over her head and was out on the street. She had asked her mother to send her news from Gotham while she was in Africa. She was determined to see what was happening in this city. She had noticed the crime had seemed to excelate in the city lately and she had seen less and less articles about batman and robin in the cities news. She worried what had happened to them, and if Tim was alright. She wanted to know if everyone was alright. So she risked comeing back to save Tim, and anyone else, even if they rejected her. She had been training in Africa and the change of scenery had kicked up her sences quite a bit. She was much more aware of her suroundings and thought much better on her feet. She let her feet make tenative steps on the cool night air down the abandon allyway. Spoiler figured the best place to start was the scene of the explotion the night before. She would investigate that disterbance first and follow that to the people that caused it and hopefully to information about what happened to the bat family she had to leave years ago.

"True...But I had no intentions on killing you, Hush..."
The Phantasm didn't know who this Commissar was; he wasn't in any Gotham records, but he seemed Russian. There was a Russian group in Gotham called the Eastern Bloc that was still active in the future, but nothing was said about a man called the Commissar. Phantasm noticed Hush was going to make a move and no doubt the Commissar had something under his sleeve. Seeing as he didn't have the element of surprise and he was too close to his enemy, the Phantasm thought it logical to retreat less he be killed be the Commissar and Hush. With a quick motion of his claw, smoke enveloped the Phantasm completely and the darker shades that were his form faded as the smoke died down with the Phantasm gone from sight.
"Even violent heroes are cowards...I believe that was Andréa Beaumont...Her alias is of course the Phantasm...Though the attitude and the desire to defeat Batman seem very off from Andrea's goals...Odd, might be someone else...Anyway, Comrade Hush! Are you willing to join my organization? I can guarantee a confrontation with the Batman unlike the plans set by a simple two people..."
The Commissar would investigate the Phantasm later since Andrea Beaumont wasn't expected to be interfering here. The Phantasm was caught many times on the sensors, but from this encounter, it was becoming apparent that Andréa wasn't behind the Phantasm’s interference even though she was the original Phantasm. Right now what was important was recruiting Hush; his intelligence could prove vital in countering Batman's intelligence and helping with several projects.

[enter Ventriloquist from Metropolis]
As Joker waited for Gossamer to reply, the Ventriloquist started walking by, having returned from Metropolis. "We're back," said Wesker. "I know we're gack, moron." Scarface said. "Do you think--" "Of COURSE I think! It's YOU that we need ta be worried agout." "Maybe we should lay low..." "And mayge you should act like a REAL ventriloquist and SHUT YER YAP!"
All of this talking was getting on the Joker's nerves. "Oh, Scarface?" Joker said, turning to face them.
Scarface's head turned to face the clown. "What do ya want?"
Joker replied, "You know what your problem is, dummy?" Then, the clown drew out a gun. "You talk too much." Wearing his trademark grin, he fired, and a bullet went right into Scarface's wooden head. A second one shattered it.
"NO!" Wesker cried out as he looked at the remains of Scarface, tears beginning to stream down his face. "How could you DO that? He's not a dummy! He's a real person! He IS! HOW COULD YOU?!"
Joker walked up to the desperate man, still grinning, and said, "Simple. Like this." He pulled the trigger again, and one more bullet fired, blowing the gray matter inside Wesker's skull all over the sidewalk. There was no doubt in anyone's mind. The Ventriloquist was dead. Joker put away his gun and pulled out a deck of cards. He dug through it a bit, pulled out a Joker card, and placed it where Scarface's wooden head would have been. If any police officer, or any member of the Bat-Brigade saw it, they'd know EXACTLY who did it. As an afterthought, he picked up Scarface's tommy gun, then actually looked at it, and realized how useful it could be. "Well, HE won't be needing this anymore..." Putting the deck away, he walked back to Gossamer, carrying the tommy gun with him, and said, "Alright, before we were so RUDELY interrupted, shall we return home, then?"

Spoiler Spoiler stepped gingerly as she looked at the the rubble. The police had finished with the scene. Now it was her turn to pick up what was missed. She had already hacked the police report of the scene. Their was still samples to be analyzed but that would come up tomorrow some time, such as DNA and things of that nature. Spoiler hesitantly stepped through the rubble that was the explotion site. She tried to play back what had happened. She knew no, at least known to her, robins, batmans, or batgirls were found at the site. She took hope in that. There was also no sign of bodies being moved. Other then the Ventriliquist without his dummy. She tenatively looked over the place of his body when she saw a slight nick in some of the remaining rubble. She worked out the physics of the man's height and the bullet hole in Wesker's hand. "Scarface..." She thought, he was shot too...by...joker. She remembered there were extra cards found near Wesker. "Who would take him? Where would he go?" She asked herself in a whisper as she looked around as a slight breeze brought her cape in the wind a bit. She let her eyes jump. She always had to be aware incase someone was watching her. She couldn't let someone sneek up on her now. She had to many goals now. To save the dark knight, the boy wonder, especially the one she kept a picture of on her at all times in a small locket she now wore under her uniform, and to stop Joker, this new mystery woman, whoever she was, and apparently Scarface. Had this whole town gone to s**t while she was away? She wondered as she again searched the scene.

"Sounds like a plan to me." she grinned, then glanced down at Rosie. "I think the kiddo could use a little break for now. Huh?"
Rosie, who'd hidden her face behind Gossamer once she heard the first gunshot, peeked up at her a moment and knodded.

Joker smiled and nodded. "Well, there's a couple beds, for when Harley and I used to fight. Rosie can get one, and we'll take the other. She can get the one not with the various chemicals and such." He looked at Rosie and said, "No offense, kiddo, but I don't trust you with things that can blow us all up."
Hush looked at the Commissar, and said, "Alright, let's go. Don't be wasting my time, though. Do you have a spare matching set of pistols wherever we're going?" He missed his guns.

Rosie giggled a bit.
"Sounds good to me." Gossamer purred.
Rosie glanced up at Joker, then back to Gossamer a moment with a small smile on her face. "Yeah. I'm tired.""

Harley and Ivy had finished their Linner, lunch and dinner, and had made it back to the museum. They were determined to double check their own servalence they had added and they wanted to see if they could convince those 'cute' as Harely had called them, security guards to take them out so they could get their cards. They had a neat and nice plan that was working beautifully till one of the security guards had a little bit to much to drink. One started to mouth off about Joker. Ivy almost threw him to the floor to cover up his mouth. But she played it off well. She wrote it off to saying she doesn't want to talk about random guys she wants to talk about them. And giggled but the seed was planted. Harely was interested but didn't pry at the momment. But she wanted to know what her pudd'n was doing. But she wouldn't break character. She played with the one guy's colar flipping and straightening it, which only made her think of her clown. She always fixed his colar. She was like his puppy, his mother, his scape goat, and he was her life. Was..she tried to focus on the word. History, she was better. Who was she kidding, she was exactly the same as she was before. She fit in with him, she had made herself fit him. And he loved her, he had to. And she would show him how he missed her. How much she needed her. Ivy smiled and laughed but was hatching ways to keep Harely from finding out about Joker. From finding out about the other woman, revenge and vengence wasn't what Harely needed, she needed to grow beyond the stupid clown. Make her own way.

"Then it's decided! Off we go!" Joker said, taking Gossamer by the arm again, and grabbing Rosie's hand with his free hand. The three of them headed back to the warehouse; there was a hidden way to where he actually stayed through there.

Sapphire peeked around the corner of the building and watched the three leave. She turned back around and leaned against the wall and sighed. That was one headache gone before it started. Her luck seemed to be turning a little bit....though she still didn't have a place to stay now...great. She moved out of her hiding spot now that Gossamer and Joker were gone and looked out onto the city. Just where was she going to stay? She wasn't exactly pals with anyone here. She could go back to the Batcave and...no, he turned the teleporter off right? She'd have to find someone first. Maybe she could rent a....no, she didn't carry any cash on her costume. Crap, it was all in her appartment. Everything was in her appartment.

"Having trouble?"
The Phantasm stood a foot behind Sapphire Spider's left shoulder, not even hinting at he was there for who knows how long. Defeating Batman needed to wait; there were other heroes here that could help him mop up crime in this city and hopefully have the same idea of justice. The Phantasm stepped forward and was not standing beside Sapphire Spider as he continued speaking.
"The Earthquake...Do you know what caused it?"

((Enter Apocalypse from JLA Satellite))
Apocalypse crashed landed into the ruins of the part of the section of Gotham that was hit by the Earthquakes. The damage he left was monumental, but no one was there to be hurt beside some robots that were in his way. Doombots he had crushed in his landing; they were everywhere gathering up criminals and aiding people. This was quite unlike Doom and Apocalypse assumed it was part of some scheme. Not wanting to deal with Dr. Doom since his strength was not worth testing since the results were almost predictable. Like Apocalypse, Doom was a genius, a genius who knew how to acquire power at any cost and had earned Apocalypse’s respect little by little by watching his activities. Victor von Doom was a man of strength and would make an excellent Horseman, but he was a leader, not a follower, so Apocalypse wouldn't bother wasting his time. Seeing this city being of no real use to attack or test rather, Apocalypse decided to head elsewhere; a familiar city from his universe instead since the city of Metropolis was also being aided by Doom's robots.
((Exit Apocalypse to New York.))
((Enter Doomsday from Eastern Bloc Headquarters.
"It's him...Apocalypse...Follow him Doomsday...He has power that could greatly power our device...Though I question if such power could be contained..."
Doomsday was disappointed he didn't get to fully unleash his rage on Supergirl; this device in his back was making him too docile; it was his rage and destructive nature that gave him power. Doomsday just needed to figure out how to remove it. As directed by the Commissar, Doomsday did his best to try to catch up to Apocalypse, seeing it as quite ironic their names meant the end in a sense. As soon as he was far enough away from Gotham, he was removing the communicator and the device; Doomsday would remain no pawn of anyone.
