Apparently in the forum I've been frequenting lately, it seems to be the 'in' thing among certain people to be as surly and hateful to anyone and everyone that doesn't 'get' you.
Their alleged counts of badassery are also highly questionable at best. I scoff. Call them on it and cite logical fallacies or basic psychological tendencies (like confirmation or hindsight bias, or overconfidence) if they argue. Alternatively, simply post a photo of Spongebob with the caption, "I stubbed my toe and only cried for twenty minutes."
Sometimes it's fun to play their game for a bit.
