Lin was used to that staff. She had seen it many times. She nodded at her professor.
When Athena was done asking her question, Lin answered her professor's question. She would have waited for him to answer Athena's question, but it was quite rude not to answer an instructor's question. At her school, a student could receive a detention for it.
"Yes, sir, of course I do. I want to heal people, help them. I want to save lives. That is why I do not understand why vampires and werewolves need to be healed. They have no lives. They are only filled with death and disease. They take lives. By destroying them, we are, in fact, healing people, protecting them."

Ophiuchus patiently listened to Lin and nodded curtly, then answered Athena's question. "I have nothing specific off the top of my head, but I suggest you stay away from plants that are potentially poisonous to foxes and dogs." He stood for a moment, switching back over to Lin.
"Not necessarily.... I've been saved by vampires and werewolves many times before." He idly spun the staff in his hand. "I will prescribe regimens for the good of my patients according to my ability and my judgment and never do harm to anyone." He tossed the staff in the air where it stood suspended, as though time had stopped for it. "Withholding treatment counts."

Athena was starting to get eager about learning more... Maybe she'd be able to pretend to threaten her brothers with new poison knowledge! That would be fun. Especially when they messed with her stuff.

Lin did not respond back. It was not her place. Plus, she had nothing more to say to him. She was quite infuriated. They obviously disagreed greatly. At her school, everyone believed the way she did. Here, she was hard pressed to find someone with the same values. Good grief, this school HOUSED vampires and other dark creatures. It did have something she wanted, though. She desperately wanted to learn about Western medicine, and she would.
She listened to the rest of the class attentively, biting her tongue. She answered when she had the answers, which was most of the time. Then, the bell rang.
Most of the students ran out of the classroom quickly. She, however, stood up slowly and properly and carefully stacked her books. They had gotten 3 books during the class, and she was anxious to start reading them and memorizing the image of the herbs with their names and attributes.

((I gotta go. Bedtime!))
Athena yawned as the class ended, staring at her books before sighing and scooping them and her other various things up. A bit bothered, she rearranged them to her liking; personal items in her bag, and books carried with the largest width and length at the bottom and smallest at the top. Then she nodded vaguely to herself and made her way out for her next class.

Ophiuchus still sat on the desk, his hard gaze following Lin. It wasn't a malicious look, just... hard. Steely, almost.
"Lin Yin, what is your complaint?" He was no fool, he saw the sullen look that crossed her face a few times during class. "For a girl who knows so much, you seem upset." The staff finally fell from the ceiling, and fell into Ophi's lap.
((Bedtime for me too.))

Night simply waited the rest of the class out before the bell rang. "elven who needs em!?" He growled annoyed "She didn't even use her pen apparently to good to do what other races do ... BAH!" He ended his complaints and followed Danni as she got up to go.

She nodded politely in his direction. "Sir, thank you for the compliment about my knowledge. My complaint is that I do not share your views on healing vampires and werewolves. They kill and maim."

Ophi blinked, then stood up slowly. "Humans kill and maim. So do angels. Gods. Fairies. Dragons." He walked slowly towards Lin, his arms crossed, the staff disappearing. "One of the sweetest girls I ever knew was a werewolf. As was the most intelligent boy I've ever come across. In fact, I fell for a vampire once. I'm pretty sure I still love her." He looked straight at Lin. "Stereotyping is a very dangerous thing. Don't do it. Objectivity is the key."

((I've never seen Death Note. The only anime I've every really watched is Sailor Moon.))
Lin gasped and looked up at her professor in shock and horror. She felt as if her throat was tightening up. This man who had so much knowledge... a HEALER... had fallen in love with a vampire? Still loved a vampire? She had wanted to ask him so many things, pick his brain. Now that was all ruined. He had ruined himself by loving a creature of pure evil.
Her breathing was becoming labored and shallow. She felt as if she were hyperventilating. This professor... this entire institution... was tainted with darkness. She couldn't stand it.
She left her books on her desk. She didn't want to touch them. She wasn't going to be in this class. She didn't want to be in this school.
She shoved by her professor, actually shoved him aside lightly with her arm, and ran out of the classroom with only her bow and arrows. As soon as she was out of the room, she had to lean against the nearby wall. She had to catch her breath. She had to calm down. She could be out of this school soon. She felt as if this darkness... this corruption was pressing in around her from all sides. She couldn't escape it. It was sucking out all of her air.
((Oh Lin....))

Night lingered calmly looking at ophi. "I would help her by the way she looks she could pass out at any second ... which is a bad thing." He looked in the direction Lin went. ",and considering how many idiots see a person passed out and immediately try to revive them with some outlandish method, I would be quick about it."

When Shintero looked around the clinic he noticed by the door out of the room had a map next to it. Curious he went over to inspect it, and since he has a good memory because of it he won't get lost in the future. That is as long as the school grounds still matches the map. One thing he noticed was a room marked as main office near the front entrance of the school. "Hmmm looks like i have something to do after all" finnaly i can get my schedule sorted out he thought to himself. Then he remembered Kindra had arrived injured and obviously had no time to even sign up for classes. "Hey Kindra wanna come with me to get our classes sorted out?"
Kindra was petting the Shintero's dragon when he started to talk to her. "Oh right i guess we should get that done." She said as she walked over to him. "Hopefully we won't be late for class." The two walked out of the clinic and she decided to follow Shintero since he seemed to know where to go. "So does your dragon have a name?" She asked when she remembered he called the dragon an it.
"Oh uh I havn't thought about naming it." Shintero slowed his walking so he was walking beside Kindra, and so he could look at the dragon. "Hmmm I think ill name it Yuuki" The small dragon gave a small chirping noise in response to the name, while changing to the color of a delighted yellow.
"Yuuki" She said absent-mindedly as she pet the dragon. "Its a good name" She was suddenly shocked when the dragon changed color. "Wha-" She was speechless at the sudden change of the dragon. "How?......What....." She kept stoping having a hard time thinking up a question. "How is it able to do that?" She asked after getting over her shock.
Shintero was kinda surprised she was the only one so far surprised at the fact that his dragon was able to change colors. "Well i don't exactly know how it changes colors. But i do know that the colors represent its mood. Like right now i believe its happy or something along that line." He explained to her. Heck i bet some people would think of it as a mood ring. Not long after they had left the health clinic they reached the door to the main office. Seeing it Shintero opened the door and they both walked in. Their was a lady sitting behind the counter looking at various papers and looked up when Shintero closed the door.
"Students should be in classes by now, what do you want?" She said clearly irritated that students where breaking the rules.
"Oh sorry. we are accualy here to sign up for classes where doing this late because i found Kindra here injured and had to take her to the health clinic and since they where short on hands i had to watch over her." He explained quickly as to get them out of any potential trouble.
"Very well here are the lists of the various classes" She dug around her pile off papers and pulled out a couple of sheets and handed them to Shintero and Kindra. The two looked through the papers and soon had an idea of what classes they wanted. "So what will you be signing up for?" The lady asked while pointing at Shintero.
"Hmm western herbs, white magic 101, elemental magic advanced, elemental spirit summoning, combining magic with weaponry, Oh and if possible independent study with elemental magic" He said handing back the paper.
After Shintero listed out his classes the lady looked at Kindra and so she started to list out hers. "Western herbs, white magic 101, defensive spells basics, meditation, combining magic with weaponry." She looked over the list one more time to double check. sastified with her choices she handed the paper back to the lady.
The lady took the papers and scaned them for about a second looking at their choices. "Very well. I would avise you two to hurry along to your white magic 101 room since you just missed your first period. Oh and the next period will be starting in just a few minutes and its quite a long walk from here. I suggest you hurry."
Shintero just stared at her for a sec. "Oh crap we have to hurry!!" he said taking kindras hand and running out the door. Once they where out of the office Shintero casted a lightning spell and formed it into a dragon right under their feet and soon where flying fast over the head of many surprised students as they went zipping past.
Kindra allowed herself to get pulled out of the office by Shintero but gave a small yelp in surprise when they where suddenly in the air flying. "Wow thats an amazing skill you have." The arrived at the room in no time at all. and as soon as they reached the door the dragon practicaly flew into the ground leaving them to run through the door.

Jewlet sighed getting really close to leaving tha class. She rased her hand up and waited to be called on. 'I would, most likely, learn better from a book until the real teacher comes back.' She thought as she sat up straight. Her doll sat in her lap and seemed to be looking around the room, but that was only Jewlet making the glass eyes of the doll move. She could feel that some people were creeped out by this action. She didn't care at all, she hope that, maybe, it would keep people away from her until she felt welcome'd to this school.

Ophiuchus calmly watched Lin rush out the classroom, stepping aside as he was lightly pushed. Behind him, a ghostly naga appeared, hissing softly at Lin, but not in any menacing way. "Sir," it said. "Maybe you've gone too far?" Ophiuchus shook his head. "She's got to learn. You can't take everything so seriously, or so be presumptuous in the magic world." The ghostly naga sighed. "You've got to be more empathetic, Nagendra." Ophiuchus said nothing. "Or at least, work on your people skills."
The ghostly naga, invisible to all but Ophiuchus, faded away. The healer turned back to Jewlet, who was still in the class. "Yeah?"
