Perry Hartley "Wow you guys. Dancing in the hallways? That's a thing now?" Motthew blinked, suddenly remembering they were at school. Dancing in the middle of the hall. He let Doriana go, suddenly a little self conscious. He just smiled at Perry "Hey all in good fun, right?" he glanced at Doriana and just winked.

Glen waltzed down the hall, humming a merry tune and turning a few heads as he passed them by, including the Headless Headmistress herself en route to his locker...
"You will be popular! I'll help you be popular! I'll teach you the proper ploys when you talk to boys Little ways to flirt and flounce I'll show you what shoes to wear How to fix your hair Everything that really counts To be popular I'll help you be popular!"
"Glen?" The HH paused and stopped Glen. He brushed the wig's curls aside to look up at the head of the school. "What is that you're singing?" She asked.
Glen asked, "I was singing?" He blinked and cast a side look and then shrugged. he smiled at the HH and said, "I guess this outfit's affecting me more than I thought. Aunty Glinda is always singing something or other.
HH nodded then turned and headed for her office, having seen a little bit of everything over the years, so nothing really came as a (major) surprise.
Glen finally arrived at his locker and set his Spellbound book bag (the one accessory he would not yield for this day) down on the floor. He unzipped it and reached deep down inside, clear to his elbw. He closed both eyes and stuck his tongue out to the right side of his mouth, hunting. He then delved deeper into the contents...
"No, that's lunch. Hm, a prezzy for Hellene ... Oh that's where I left that! ... Eww! Should never have kept that!"
(I imagine he magically expanded his book bag like he did his locker.)
Glen's face then lit up with a hearty "Ah ha!" and he pulled out a small briefcase. He set it down and popped it open and two large stacks of papers, or posters rather, lifted up from inside. Glen then stood back and waved his 'wand' and the papers started flying up and all over every hall in the school, pinning themselves to the wall.
Everywhere a student or faculty member looked, there was a poser with a winking Chase and a smiling Draconia, with the caption reading;
"VOTE CHASE Q AND DRACONIA ST. GEORGE! - THE ULTIMATE CHOICES FOR TOMBCOMING KING AND QUEEN!"
Glen stood back and admired his handiwork. He then proceeded to pack up his stuff into the book bag once again, hefted it onto his shoulder and headed off to see if he could find his bluddies before classes started.

Doriana stopped when Motthew stopped, and came to the same realization he did. She shook her head, returning to reality. Her face turned a dark red sync she looked at the ground. They actually... Danced?
"I... I.... I uh... Enjoyed that." She glared at Perry for a second, before coming to yet another realization.
"Heeeey, you're the boo that got the food spilled on me the other day..."

Doriana Taylor "I... I.... I uh... Enjoyed that." Motthew grinned, his antennae twitching. Hey, she enjoyed it! that was all that mattered. It seemed... like they both forgot everything around them. It was probably later than they thought too. Quote: "Heeeey, you're the boo that got the food spilled on me the other day..." Motthew looked at Perry, raising an eyebrow. "Hey, you're right. What happened, man?" he folded his arms. The incident seemed completely accidental, but who knows?

Gryff took up a spot next to his locket to wait for Lin and Atomica to arrive. He adjusted his bow and flipped through his Snicker feed on his phone.
Gryff @ScornRimmedGlasses
Stereotypical Gender Presentation Day has begun. Boos wearing their mother's clothing, smells like a Deadipus Complex to me.
A faint tinny taste in the air warned him that magic was afoot.
"GAH!!"
A poster with a brotaur and that ghoul with the decent fashion sense appeared on the wall he was leaning on. There was one on his locker too. His eyes narrowed.
"This is NOT acceptable," he sneered, ripping the poster off his locker.
They were all over the place.
Gryff @ScornRimmedGlasses
This means war.

"Hi Gryff!"The telltale enthusiastic greeting let Gryff know that Atomica and Lin had arrived as was their custom, and he was given a temporary reprieve from his Tombcoming 'rant' as it were. Lin walked up, one hand waving the fan at himself ( BOO these weird dresses were HOT!) and pointing a claw at Gryff with a wink and a click of the tongue. "Looking SPIFFY there Gryff! That bow is..." Lin stopped whatever he was going to say as he noticed the crumpled up poster in Gryff's claws, then turned and looked around where everywhere one might lay an eye (or eyes) upon, there were similar posters. Lin then turned back to his hero and gave him his best supportive smile. "Gee! I always knew you were a top class monster Gryff ol' pal, but campaigning for a Tombcoming rival?" Lin looked at Atomica and beemed. "Now THAT'S why Gryff is top class!"

Perry looked momentarily confused, then realisation dawned.
"Oooo the creepateria? Oh man, that was chaos." He grinned, clearly still amused by it all. "you got caught in the crossfire? Well uh, sorry about that aye? collateral damage I suppose." He shrugged. "Nothing personal."

Jewels frowned deeply at the sudden appearance of posters. Magic? That was totally cheating! "no no no, thiswillnotdo.."
She looked to Sally for suggestions, her resolve faltering. What chance did she stand against magic and look at Draconia!? She was so shiny and she'd hosted a killer creepover. She was nice, and no doubt popular. Ooo, her hands balled into fists. Frustrated and conflicted.
She noticed Gryff tearing an offending posted from his locker. Could they do that? She chewed her lip, thinking. "We need posters... lots of them. and and... we need groups behind us and..." Her voice cracked and she deflated. "I... don'tthinkIcandothis..." She whimpered weakly.
She stared forlornly at the crown in the trophy case, the photos of previous kings and queens. This wasn't just about the crown, boo-tiful and sparkly as it was, no, this was about other monsters accepting her, more than accepting, embracing her. She wanted their adoration, she was tired of being that shy little mole girl in the corner who never got the boo, who never got anything nice. it wasn't fair and she deserved something good. Inspiration struck. If Draconia and Chase could pool their campaigns, why couldn't she find someone to run alongside her? But who?

"Careful. Caaaareful!"
"Shad" whispered more so to himself than anybluddy else as he emerged from the shadows inside of an empty locker. (Missed his own by just two rows!) He stretched one leg out first, which was incredibly awkward. More so than usual given the attire he managed to get his claws on for this rather unique Thursday of Spirit Week. A surprisingly fitted and fashionable dress with flowing ruffles and strapless at the top.
Of course the sheer style of the dress gave him pause in how to exit the locker with a touch of modesty. I mean, the boos were given the option to dress as ghouls... but did that include the under garments as well? Well, Shadeaux wasn't about to admit to anyone whether he "did or did not" take part in THAT, but he still had his pride. (He actually did, you know!)
Arching his back and with both hands on the edges of the locker, he finally slid outside of the confines and emerged safely in the school hall, amidst all the other boos and ghouls dressed in the opposite gender.
He then adjusted the stylish and feathered mask that he wore over his face, the better to shield the shades he still had to wear to mask the light from his sensitive eyes.
He grabbed his books and shut the locker door and proceeded down the halls without a misstep, some of the boos comically 'werecat whistling' in his direction, and a couple ghouls doing so as well. He blushed at the attention, but then something else struck him as amiss.
No misstep?
He glanced down at the purple high heels he had on and then it dawned on him.
He was walking more steadily in these things than in his own high tops.
Hunh.

As she began coordinating her outfit the night before, Marceline had realized that it began looking like something Rory would have worn; brushing a temporary streak of white to her hair, she went with it. She blushed as Rory took notice and, with a single finger, moved the white streak from her eyes. "It'll grow back." Marceline said apologetically, then winced at how awkward that sounded. "Heh, anyway... That skirt is pretty clawesome! I may have to borrow it from you sometime."

From behind, something poked first Manny, and then Draconia, in the back of their shoulders. They turned around to spot... "Well how do you all!"The normally hextreme Chase done up like a typical Southern belle, complete with a ruffled top that seemed five sizes too small. (And torn at the seams in several places.) He twirled his parasol and batted his eyelashes beneath his bonnet. Manny guffawed in delight. Draconia said, "Oh Chase, you look adorkable!""Why thank ya kindly suh! Ah do declare yore sweet words could charm the mourning dew right off the honey su...hold that thought."At the sight of Glen approaching, Chase stuck a thumb and forefinger between his lips and let out a shrill werewolf whistle ... immediately followed by a crash. All eyes turned down the hall to spot "Shad" now stuck on top of the lockers, trembling. Chase said, "Duuude! He should totally be more scareful in a dres like that!"

Marceline LaGhede "It'll grow back." Marceline said apologetically, then winced at how awkward that sounded. "Heh, anyway... That skirt is pretty clawesome! I may have to borrow it from you sometime." "Borrow it from mother, you mean." Rory corrected, swishing this way and that to show off the dripping red beads on the hem. "It's her skirt. Kinda surprising how well it fits..."Suddenly, posters for Draconia and Chase appeared and flew up on every wall surface as if some sort of Tombcoming-themed tornado had blown through the hallway. Rory peeled a poster off his face."Oh, manster....Glen's using magic to campaign! COOL Oz magic! That's so unfair!" Rory tapped his forehead, thinking. There had to be SOMEthing he could do to counter this brilliant bit of marketing. Then it struck him. "Aha! I CAN do something! Stand back!Maybe it was wearing his mother's dress that inspired Rory to think more like his mother. Or maybe it was all the time he'd been hanging out with Glen that gave him the idea to be a little more creative with his mirror magic. At any rate, Rory walked back to Cy Clops' locker, rested his hand on the mirror and chanted. As he chanted, his eyes started to subtly glow...."Mirror mirror, on the wall Tombcoming is the dance of Fall Let the name of possible King and Queen On every mirror in school be seen!"Rory took his hand away....and a yell came from the ghoul's bathroom. Howleen Wolf dashed out of it."The mirrors are leaking! GROSS!" She shouted, joining a chorus of boos and ghouls who had their lockers open as red liquid dripped down the mirrored surfaces. The dripping formed letters... EDEHGAL ENILECRAM DNA HTROWDULB MIRROR ROF ETOV
"Edeghal Enilecram?" Cy asked as he frowned at his advertising-covored mirror. "I don't get it." "Darn!" Rory scowled. "I forgot you read everything backwards here!"

Marceline looked on nervously as Rory put his mirror spell into motion... and felt a pang of disappointment when it came out wrong.
"Hold on," She plunged her hand into her bag. "I think I may know how to fix this..."
She drew from her bag her own compact mirror and a small vial of a brownish paste. Popping open the compact, she smeared a symbol onto the mirror surface and mumbled a few words. Once she knew the spell was complete, she snapped the mirror shut; in that moment, all the mirrors flashed a brilliant white before revealing Rory's intended message, reading properly on this side of the mirror.
For a little flair, she also added in some taglines. The mirrors of Monster High now read things like:
A Spellbinding Pair for Tombcoming! Vote Rory and Marceline!
No Need to Reflect on It! Vote Rory and Marceline for Tombcoming King and Queen!
Make No Bones About It! Marceline and Rory Are a Clear Choice for Tombcoming!
"That ought to do it!" Marceline smiled, linking her arm in Rory's.

"HEY! YOU! BUG CREATURE!" Atomica shouted at some sort of mantis-headed boo in the hallways. "VOTE FOR GRYFF FOR TOMBCOMING QUEEN! OR ELSE!"
"Oh, ssssure." Mantis-boy replied, rubbing his chin with one of his pincers. "I'll consider voting for him. What is his stance on the proposed changes to the Creepateria menu other candidates are endorsing?"
"Uh, he-" Atomica stammered.
"And does his platform include a lobbying effort for greater visibility for insectoid students? Like, perhaps a nice green room where we can munch leaves in peace, or a shiny bright light for us to fly around?"
"Er-" Atomica tried to scan her databases for a response. None of this was included in the data tables she set up for the Tombcoming dance. Were these questions part of the 'Puttin' on the Glitz' theme?
"And what is his stance on taxation in the-"
"ENOUGH! VOTE FOR GRYFF OR ELSE. JUST... OR ELSE!" Atomica shoved the mantis-boy through the nearest doorway and slammed the door shut, leaning against it as scratching noises and requests for more information about Gryff's stance on the asphalt easement granted to the school by the county came from the other side.
Whew! Campaigning was HARD!
