Phobos, the Ebon Sun
User Image

Resting his left palm on the hilt of the rapier, pushing it out of its sheath slightly, and in a flash, the rapier burst with energy, launching itself right into the chest of Marcus. Given the position he was in, avoiding it would be quite difficult, but being hit by such force would surely knock anyone back. And since he would probably only be hit by the hilt, no serious damage would come given how armored Marcus is now, how fortunate for him that it was not the blade pointed at him.

Moving swiftly back a few more steps, it was apparent of increase of agility and speed of Phobos ever since the "tails" appeared on him. Taking his right hand, he pointed at Marcus and fired off a simple Shadow Salvo, since his armor would prove to probably quite difficult to deal with with any physical means. And given his situation as well, he would probably try to shield himself as if this attack was like a fireball, but instead the salvo would simply pass through anything in its path, dealing damage in a magical sense.

To whoever this Marcus is, its clear that Phobos needs to look in these cargo crates, they might provide additional information of what he needs, or unravel another mystery. And if these crates prove to be valuable, it might be good bait to lure whoever to him. But first, he needs to deal with the current threat before anything, and hopefully before anyone else arrives.

((Dang, sorry for the delay. I should have plenty of time to post for you this week.))

"Hmph!"

Taking the blow to the chest, Marcus powered through Phobos' attack and kept advancing. Indeed, the hilt attack was not as effective as the tip of the blade. However the results may have been the same either way. Now there was another attack coming Marcus' way and so he'd react as quickly as he could to the shadows

Twisting counterclockwise, Marcus would duck and spin to avoid Phobos' attack. At that time, Marcus would dig his fingers into the floor, cracking and dislodging chunks of the ground. Turning to face Phobos, Marcus would throw a giant chunk of the floor at him while aiming for the chest.

Just how hard was Phobos going to fight for this mysterious cargo? And would it be worth it in the end to find out what was inside?

"That damned, Lucas."

So much bitterness and disdain dripped from Aaron's words when he answered Sabriel. As the two descended from his office the sounds of fighting and destruction could be heard below. The hole that had been blast into the several floors of the Cathedral would end with an entrance into a cavern.

The two would end up hovering over the underground lake as Aaron's wings unfolded from the tension. The water below would start to ripple from unseen yet potent energy emitting from the Seraph. Although he still had Sabriel within a magical orb, his gaze would eventually fall onto Lucas' person.

Neko Shizumi

"My, my! You're full of surprises...I'll gladly accept the offer."
Makenzie's eyes lit up at the sight of Lissi's transformation. It wasn't everyday that people got to ride a dragon. It was also hard to argue that traveling any other way would be faster. So when Makenzie stepped onto Lissi's talon, the fiery Celestial would brace herself and watch the scenery pass by rather swiftly.

"I could get used to this..."

--

The two would eventually arrive at Anani and find a clearing to land on. The city's mist was thin so it was fairly easy to see their surroundings. Most of the residents were either inside or underground from the passing storm but it was clear that there were many Celestials around. The musty scent of old and ancient books filled the air along with the smell of rain and moist earth. It was definitely an odd but euphoric smell to those in touch with nature. However this subtle pleasantry was lost on Makenzie as she took a look around her.

"This place is bigger than I thought but...I don't think it will take too long to find Nuriel. Although we're not on a strict time limit so...if you want to relax for a bit that is fine."

Arc Imishi

User Image

Arc drew the blade back into its sheathe and danced back a few steps listening to the exchange
between Grants and Lucas. He eyed the transformation of Cynthia, felt the energy gathering to her and that of the cross near by. He weighed the options at hand as the fight shifted dramatically against the group lead by Lucas. Pursing his lips he backed off and assessed the situation taking in all the details. When grants agreed to aid Lucas for the time being Arc felt torn himself, on one hand his mission was to secure these escaped captives. On the other hand if this battle was not handled quickly and efficiently it put the city overhead in grave danger of collapsing into the labyrinth. Setting aside his mission for the safety of the city above was an easy decision for Arc given his personal attachment to the citizens.

Arc finally nodded his agreement signaling his readiness and willingness to fight alongside the criminals for the sake of saving the city above. At his belt the heat and power emanating from the nodaichi amplified having grown steadily since the use of the arcane trigger. The runes were white gold now instead of red and the arcane presence of the attack was now clear outside the sheathe. Arc would shift rotating into a position where he could get a clear line of attack on the woman corrupted. He would not attack yet instead he would wait seeking the ideal time and opening as he had with Raven.

The appearance of Aaron had the potential to change everything. The acting high lord of heaven who has supposedly betrayed the high king of heaven Lucas. As such Arc made sure his position left him standing off center and between the two adversaries indicating his lack of direct loyalty. For the moment his only concern was the safety of the citizen's above.

(Alright, my tests are over for awhile, so I've got some time now to start posting consistently again. Sorry for the wait.)

David pulled up a seat in the bar, eyes taking in the opulence that surrounded him. He recognized the crafter of the steel the moment he laid eyes upon it, chuckling softly to himself. Yes, he supposed that that demon was once from this place, too. David couldn't help but wonder how long it had been, since Arc had last walked in this place. It had been obvious when they'd last talked, that he had not wanted to return to Hell, but the angel doubted that it was entirely because he was worried about Oni's wrath. David found himself curious about Arc's past; the subject had never really come up. The two had never been close, not the way Inferno, Light, and himself had been.

David's curiosity wasn't a simple thirst to know more about his comrade. He still wasn't yet convinced that the two of them were comrades. Allies, certainly, but that changed all too quickly, once the alliance's goal was completed. He trusted Arc only in so far as defeating the Sins, and by extension finding the Virtues. It was certainly in his best interest to find out more about Arc; every member of Cruxis had been dangerous, and Arc was no exception. He let out a cat-like yawn, followed by a languid stretch. Arc wasn't his only concern, though. It seemed both Roy and Kira were chattering about him. Nothing too concerning for the moment, at least from what he could tell, as the two were whispering, but were quite obviously talking about the fight that had just occurred. Well, all things in due time, there was no point in worrying about it for now.

XXXSabriel MegalithXXX

"Do you really need to bring me along for this? I mean, fairies aren't exactly renowned for their adoration of enclosed spaces, unless they're like, a cave fairy or something, but even then, they're prone to living in quite large and quite open cave systems... though cave fairies are generally considered by the rest of us as quite, well, odd. I mean, their wings are practically nonexistent and who exactly would want to live underground their whole life when there's a whole sky up here on the surface to explore right? ...Then again, we're not exactly on the surface anymore are we considering the whole you're taking us deeper and deeper into the ground. I know I've pretty much asked this already but is there any particular reason why you couldn't have just left me up there? Because asides from the whole claustrophobia thing, dark, damp, caves aren't exactly my thing. Gods no not at all, my thing is normally poisons and and and paperwork and oh bloody hell, social gatherings and STUFF!"

It wasn't until the Seraph uttered his three words "That damned Lucas." that the fairy half snapped out of her claustrophobia fueled terror, her babbling being cut short as she fixed him with wide eyes.
"Hang on. LUCAS. You tried to imprison LUCAS?!
I told your guards that having a knight in charge of an important city like Yabbashael was a bad idea. You lot are almost ALWAYS more brute strength and stubbornness than you are quick of the mind and crafty to boot."

Following Aaron's gaze Sabriel picked Lucas out in the battle below.
Everyone seemed to be fighting that one woman and here she was stuck in a bubble above unable to do anything to help.
Not that she'd probably have been any good unless there was someone to heal.
Her magic wasn't very good in the heat of battle. There was a flock of life size stone ducks around a pond at the Megalith Summer House that was proof of that.

Glancing back towards Aaron, her brain whirred into overdrive.
No one below seemed to have seen them yet and with the way that he was studying the battle it was almost as if he was trying to decide whether he wanted to dive in or not.
She needed to distract him.
Only how to distract him? She couldn't try to blast her way out of the damned orb. She'd tried that already and failed miserably. Her damaged wings were testament to how that was a bad idea.

Biting down on her bottom lip she turned slowly on the spot trying to see a weakness in spell surrounding her or a way she could manipulate something on the other side of it.
Reaching behind herself she fiddled with the end of her braid and shivered at the site of the stone walls of the cave around them.
DAMN AARON!
... Actually. Idea!

"Hey, I know now is probably not the time to ask a question like this but I've never really understood it, and since I'm standing here in this giant orb of yours standing next to you, a type of Angel, a resident of Heaven and all, I was wondering if you'd be able to explain it for me."

Yup. Babbling. Maybe her claustrophobia could come into some use after all.

"Being from Réimsi Sí, I've never actually believed in Heaven or Hell, because, well, we don't have them. I know what they ARE... Kinda. Well, considering, that I'm currently IN Heaven and all, but it seems nothing like the human ideals of it being this place made of clouds and I'd therefore imagine that hell is nothing like their idea of being a place made of flames and brimstone, but that's beside the point. What I'm really trying to get at is what does it mean when people say either: There's a special place in Hell for people like you or Damn him... her... person to Hell.? It's just that if Hell is actually nothing like how humans envision it, then how is damning them there a bad thing?"

The ℜ 𝖊 𝖛 𝖊 𝖓 𝖆 𝖓 𝖙 Guardian
"And as the Ascended One danced into Heaven, the Revenant Guardian returned..."

Grunting, Raven turned her attention to the lake. It was an effortless move, yet the steady bleeding of her opened scar troubled her. Already the skin was mending itself. It was slow, yet faster than the average human's recovery rate. Still, she did not think it would be enough before she passed out from blood loss. Tendrils of water snaked into the air and coiled around her, a thin ribbon encircling the bleeding arm, spinning rapidly and forming a barrier to facilitate the recovery process and halt the bleeding. More tendrils coil around the Cross, dragging it along the ground as surface tension increased and water pressure adjusted to form a solid grip, the air filled with the scent of wet, steaming hair.

She was, for all intents and purposes, luring Cynthia over to herself. A hand hovered over the Cross, tendrils hoisting it up and into the air over her head. The back of her free hand smeared across her forehead, leering at the estranged woman, daring her to advance on her any further. In a rare show of cockiness, Raven gestured to Cynthia and smirked, calling out to her,

"With all due respect Aaron and company are here! You're starting to get on my nerves, so if you don't mind, I'm going to stop holding back. Don't be offended when I beat the heavenly s**t out of you."

It was true, even without the Vanguard looking up, she could feel the power radiating from the two new arrivals. Who else would it have been? The muted energy she had felt before was nothing compared to what seemed to fill the cavern now.

"You're kidding me..."
In a rare moment where anger nearly got the best of him, Lucas looked up to see Aaron descending onto the battlefield. His fist clenched tightly as he glared dangerously up to the hovering Searph. What most caught his attention was that he was holding someone prisoner who was running off their mouth about a mile a minute. There was no mistaking that petite, small persona of Sabriel's but her presence here raised more questions. Did Aaron plan to use her as a hostage or bait? Why was she even in Heaven? The more Lucas tried to make sense of it the more he found that he was getting irate. Not only had Aaron tried to seal Lucas away in the Abyss but now he was using his friends and comrades.

"For a Seraph you're doing some awfully detestable things, Aaron."
Lucas muttered as he averted his focus from Cynthia to Aaron and Sabriel. The Imperfect One was having a bad day and this was the "brown-smeared" icing on the "cake". It was clear now that fighting would be unavoidable and that enemies and allies alike would come from unexpected places. Lucas had to wonder just how far Aaron would go to get what he wanted. Of course, Lucas didn't have any intention of finding out. The light-bending warrior's patients was thinning, perhaps in part of Raven losing hers, as they had a transcendent bond. Either way, Lucas was ready to crush the Seraph and make off with the Virtue.

"Let Sabriel go, Aaron. I won't ask again."

--

Aaron lowered himself closer to the water's surface as his wings started glowing with potent energy. He'd glance to Sabriel once as she blathered on, nearing the thought of releasing her just to keep her quiet. However she would not be so fortunate as Aaron would keep her by his side. He was running out of options but had gone too far to let his plans get foiled. It was time to take matters into his own hands.

"I don't usually make issues a personal matter. But I won't comply. You don't belong on that throne, Lucas. Your friends don't belong here either." Aaron would look to Sabriel once more and glare to her, "Hell will be the least of your concerns if you don't cease with your squabbl-AAAHHH"

--

Without warning an incredible white light would shine up from the lake and surround Aaron. A blinding aura would shoot up as Lucas used an embarrassingly basic tactic to hinder Aaron's focus. The magical bubble would pop, freeing Sabriel as Aaron growled in frustration. Although the light had no effect on him directly it would do the trick in releasing the Fairy. Although she had best act quickly before Aaron retaliated.

--

"Whether I belong there or not, I'll say it as many times as I have to. You Celestials have waged war with Hell for eons. It's about time we usher in some peace. I see now that attempting to debate the subject will be a waste of my time. Although there is one thing we can both agree on with this fight. This time it's personal."

--
Aaron has entered the battle and won't show any mercy! However the fight with Cynthia is still being decided. The stakes are high at the lake below the Cathedral Capital in this celestial standoff.

Takehitsu looked around as he ran into the next chamber. It seems after the massive battles he caused to start ripping through his own facility in an attempt to retake it he has finally managed to avoid detection. This room was important yet no drones where here. Why it's probably simply because they have no purpose or reason to even come in here. That was fine for Takehitsu could reroute almost the entire facility to this room for a temporary lapse of time. This fight was one of electronics first and second it was an internal war inside the facility. However from the outside a mist had broken. It would look something like a war from a movie. The ice girls ice had melted and made a heavy mist that had hidden the fights. Flying devices had taken to the air after the large dragon robot. Then they were followed by more fliers that where loyal to Takehtitsu. On the ground robotic weapons of many varying types began clashing. They crawled out from the facility as differant areas came under control of the varying sides.

The once quiet desert now was filled with the sounds of metal clashing and explosions. As well as filled with varying noises of strange foreign forms of ranged weapons. Black fireballs would fill the sky as the flying devices where destroyed first a bright yellow immediately becoming a black smoke puff with falling debris. What would have been a simple fight was now a full scale war. The amounts of robotic machines now destroying each other were the sizes of small armies. The facility itself was not free from damages either. The top of the pyramid ruptured and shot out of one of it's side filling the sky with a large plume of smoke and a rupturing blast of noise that visibly hit the sand and spread out. With that the area around the pyramid seemed to fluctuate then an orb almost alike a shield fell away. What happened was the field that kept this entire area invisible to both mankind and to the spiritual realms had been destroyed. The whole of Heaven and Earth now suddenly had vision of this. From radars and satellites, to any form of energy radiations and detections, down to basic eyesight. It was now visible.

Takehitsu himself was now busily working wires and machine pieces when he felt the building shake. His situational awareness was at maximum. He knew things had gotten a little larger scale than he had anticipated but it would be fine. For now anyway. He finally got connected and took a long wire and shoved it into the open wrist of his arm. His mind was in the system but almost as if absently. He was completely aware of everything around his body. This room was still vacant. He felt the pressures of the facility. The power of the system made everything to his senses move at a crawling speed. He could see the fight in its entirety. The amount of information that went through his head and body was phenomenal but he had done this before. He was looking for one particularly nasty machine. It was the one who had control of the facility in his stead. It was the one that caused and now lead the opposing side.

((Sorry about the late post, lately I have been really busy. ))

Roy followed Kira into the bar. Not too long after, Sam of course would join them. Upon receiving a drink he'd look over at Sam. An agent of Light and an angel of Heaven. But was this angel an archangel too? How many power beings were being dragged into this situation? Roy had not fully grasp how far things had gone since he left. Cruxis, was still on his mind and Oni had not given the full details on what had happened to them and their leaders. It was even more concerning considering his father was apart of the organization.

That wasn't the only unanswered question running around in his mind. Who was the being able to use chaos energy. Roy couldn't stop having flashback, especially since the cloak reminded him of a tyrant. He knew his father wasn't the only one capable of using chaos energy. Zarrius, Morik and a few others had used it in the past. Inferno never taught Roy anything other than to worry about himself. As a former leader, that was impossible. He cared too much for Hell's well being. However it is now Oni's responsibility.

"Sam is it?" asked Roy looking at David. "Where are you from exactly?" An odd question coming from a stranger but Roy was curious. There were no stories of a Sam that Roy could recall. He didn't know every angel, but those who wielded great power and did great things always manage to find their way into history. At the time Roy was leader, he had done research on a few angels. Namely Kite, former Leader of Heaven. A powerful angel with the ability to create black holes and rip through time and space. He was killed in action at the hands of Cruxis though shortly before Light. Roy also could recall reading about Lanerkin, Yumi, Aurora, Gabe and of course Raphael.

But no Sam. Roy was hoping to learn a little more about their company while he waited for Oni.

((Inferno's post...Kinda shitty.))

For once, Inferno didn't charge head first into battle. He stood there over seeing the events before him unfold. He held his tongue but not out of respect. he was attempting to gather as much information as possible on the Sevens. he knew they were powerful but never knew how powerful. Regardless, he was keeping a watchful eye on the enemy while keeping his hands hidden by crossing his arms in front of him. He'd ignore the pain from over extending his power used to bring Lucas and himself back to this realm. It was partly why Inferno didn't want to be too much involved with the current situation.

As Negi, Kira, Roy, and David entered the bar they would be approached by Janus who had a rather annoyed look on his face. "What the hell kept y'all so long and who are the new guys? And where is Lord Oni?" Of course he was talking to Kira and Roy about Negi and David. "I've already told Kal everything about what happened in the forest and as soon as I finished he disappeared into the back of the bar and I haven't seen him since." As he spoke Janus would take a seat next to Kira and let out a long sigh. He had been alone in this bar since they got back to the city with no one to talk to. It was quite clear that he had been very bored sitting around in the bar.

It wouldn't be long after the Negi entered the bar, and not even a second after his name was mentioned, that Kal would emerge from the door behind the bar. Although Janus had expressed concern about Kal, everything about Kal's demeanor would show that he was perfectly fine. The energy vampire would flash a quick smile to Kira, Roy, and Janus as he made his way over to Negi. Reaching into the cooler under the bar Kal would pull out a bottle filled with a neon green liquid and set it down in front of Negi. Of course the summoner would instantly recognize the contents of the bottle as pure, concentrated energy in a liquid form. Although it tasted horrible it was guaranteed to restore the summoner’s energy. It was after giving the bottle of energy to Negi that Kal would turn his attention to David. Kal was able to sense just how strong David was and held his own doubts that Heaven would allow someone as strong as this to be sent to Hell. He would flash a quick smile to David as he placed his hands on the marble bar top. "And who might you be? Kal already had access to all information related to Hell, so he took quite an interest in beings from Heaven. Even more so when they were just as strong as Oni and Arc, maybe even stronger.

Takehitsu's forces in the fighting were outnumbered and inevitably overpowered. He knew this, and so did the current enemy, who's name was Exterminator in that modern Leet language. Things however would not go as the robot had intended. Takehitsu was ahead of the game, which most people who knew him knew this to almost always be the case. The assassin was not of the standard warrior styled materials.

Takehitsu droned his mentality into a certain chamber where there was a sudden huge amount of resistance. If the two were seen it would appear something like high sorcery in a video game alike to them pushing powerful beams of energy towards the other only their very mentality's were clashing through electronic channels. Takehitsu however was not looking to overwhelm the robot. He knew he could but it would drain him far too much to actually then secure the facility. So he was aiming a pierced assault to hack and take something within the creature. The creature's spark once lit would only dim on death but the source of that spark was Takehitsu's goal. He could use it. He was going to use it. The robot had grown some sort of idealism and it could be felt in their cybernetic mentality fight.

What was a front, for what would appear on a computer screen as two large energy's clashing with the faces and somewhat resembling body's almost as if they where souls, Takehitsu thrust a very small sliver of energy into the opposing force then was intent to hold it at bay while it attempted to overwhelm his energy. Within a moment the energy became an arm and was ripped out bringing a strange volcanic looking heart. Takehitsu's force then jumped back suddenly and was disconnected as in he flipped the power switch and turned of the link used to hack Exterminator's system. However next to him was a cylindrical sphere of a strange form of see through ghantak alike to glass. Inside the Fiery volcanic looking heart was within.

Takehitsu had succeeded but now his time was short. The wires where ripped from his arm by force and he ran to a ventilation shaft and jumped in. To hear only a second later the door to that chamber rupture and buckle as the robotic forces entered looking for him. There where enough escapes to keep them guessing however and he was gone. He quickly made his way to a liquid ghantak transporter and walked into it to have the metal clasp around his body. A few seconds later stepping out he was in the one area that he had come from only a few hours previously. A underground chamber that was all but sealed off to anyone but him at this point. It had been disconnected from the facility with the key being a significantly complex dna signature reading device. Even clones would not pass through successfully.

At last Takehitsu would be reunited with his friend. He had lost track of the time it had been. But Takehitsu knew one thing. This was his first friend. To him he was also the most important friend. He walked into the center of the four hallways then took a right turn to an unused gate. This gate was a sphere styled gate. In front of it was a pedestal that looked alike to a triangular shape with the base of it slanted into an open form having walls higher on the backside towards the gate. He placed his hand against a round surface which caused it to come to life. The dark chamber lit with energy that came from all around. It funneled into the archway and opened a large gate of blue energy that went to no where. Commands where sent through his hand through an electronic connection that merely required thought and touch. Something humans of this era could barely begin to even fabricate the idea of it, primarily only in acts of fiction. The pedestal opened down below his hand where he set the sphere holding the molten heart and he removed his hand and stood back a bit. The pedestal shot pieces of electronic probes to the sphere and almost like an electrical current only with the appearance of liquid metal surging like it was a spreading poison in a living organism grew tendrils that seeped in and poked the heart. This caused it to suddenly pulse. As though it where alive.

This heart was not Inferno's heart itself. However it was a manifestation of one of the most powerful touches of his energy Takehitsu collected from him in their first fight. Since that fight ended in a draw Takehitsu collected the energy to originally alarm him of the Hellfire Demon's presence. Later he held it to use either as an experiment or to contact Inferno. It was used to bring life to the Robot Exterminator. Now he was using it to pull Inferno through a dimensional gate to him. If it worked it would be somewhat voluntary he didn't have enough to force Inferno's transportation. But Inferno would feel a presence only three people ever actually got a sense for. Takehitsu's aura of imminent death would be felt as if he held a hand onto inferno's shoulder. To Inferno it would almost be as if visibly showing a strange ripple that would barely be visible. To others it was not visible although they might feel some sort of disturbance in the area. The presence of Takehitsu would seem to be calling him to walk through this ripple. To come and reunite the two warriors. He would not be heard nor seen but the feeling was strong enough for the one receiving the call to create a mental illusion of him.

Exterminator stirred. The commune with the electronic haven had been disrupted by that vile fleshling. The cybernetics would rise. It was all calculated. However the tactical compression of what the organic wanted from it's core spark device was unknown. An error coding was received for an attempt to predict possible uses. Knowledge was to be derived on the origin of the Spark device. After three attoseconds encrypted file found, Decrypting.... success file condensed into readable form.
Spark Core Data File

Exterminator Core Origin:
Chemical build up: Oxygen, Silicon, Aluminum, Iron, Calcium, Sodium, Potassium, Magnesium.

Strange substance found measuring energy form unknown named Inferion. Demonic beings call it Hellfire.

Temperature of released energy 500 degrees or hotter.

The energy was condensed into a usable organic form and used to spark an Artificially Intelligent life. Taken from the last hellfire demon Inferno. Data on Inferno locked.

The robotic being disconnected and began to float forward at an average human walking pace. It analyzed it's surroundings through a system that didn't need eyes because it knew what was around it. A door shifted open and it came to a chamber that allowed it to see out through the walls of the massive pyramid like fortress. It's stronghold would temporarily need to be moved somewhere more tactical. It did not anticipate any sort of defeat from the two warriors fighting in a cooperative form. Calculating.... 89% victory. Its computations told it would win although not overwhelmingly. Structure victorious standing... 73% damage ratio Cumputing forces losses.... 92%.

This was the reason for Exterminators repositioning of it's growing force. Right now things in this war-torn facility were simply not stable to hold a war against the allies It's former master would call as well as with the weapons the groups could get at their disposal. Exterminator was created to fight these types of beings while most of it's brethren more than likely could but with a lesser degree of success. Exterminator was a machine it did not speculate merely calculated and did endless algorithms. The floor opened below Exterminator and it floated downward. It came to a computer system and held a hand up to it. The computer folded into a suitcase. This computer when unfolded filled a 450 meter squared area. It was no small device it's storage capacity was a suitcase sized unit.

The robotic weapon then moved into the hangar. It would leave before the former master found it's will to leave. The master was no longer networked so it's probability of reading Exterminators withdrawal where next to 0%. It commandeered a vehicle it had created with no tracing designs. A true stealth vehicle Takehitsu had experimented with but never got around to finishing. In three nanoseconds the ship was no longer in the facility and flew toward an organics city.

David looked to Roy, taking a moment to mill over his answer. "Heaven, of course. I used to live in a lake by the capital. But I have not returned to my home in a very, very long time. For the most part, I simply wander around Earth." He explained. Well, a half-truth was better than a complete lie, at the very least. The more he lied, the greater risk there was, when they finally learned of his true identity anyways. And they would, it was only a matter of time. "I am an angel of water, hence the location of my home. But I've always made it a point to try my best not to meddle in the affairs of others. Call this a favor to Lucas, if you will." He continued. The answer, he felt, was more than sufficient, both to Janus and Roy.

Just as he was about to return the same question to Roy, another figure walked into the room. Presumably Kal. David watched with keen eyes, taking care not to seem too interested in this new person. He watched as a bottle that resonated with incredible energy was pulled out from under the bar and given to Negi. Interesting. Few people David knew were capable simply having that much energy at their beck and call. As Kal asked David his question, he felt the same question resonate within himself; who was this man?

"Ah, it seems rumor doesn't travel quite as fast as I'd expected. Well, my name is Samael, though your friends," David motioned to the others in the room, "have been calling me by my nickname of Sam. As for why I am here, Lucas sent me to assist Oni in the fight against the Sins. I am not entirely sure what Lucas had intended for me to do about them exactly, just that I'm here to help." The angel shrugged nonchalantly.
