Kara sighed and waited for Core. When Core came out with a bottle of blood she lifted an eye brow. And when she handed her the bottle she was confused. "Ok.... Whats the blood for?" She asked her best friend.

Core closed her eyes and did a small smile . " To build up your strength , of course , " she responded , opening them to look at Kara .

Kara sighed. "The blood won't really help me, Core. I don't think thats what my body needs....." She told her friend silently.

Core sighed and stood up , picking up the phone from the table , she walked into the foyer to make a call . She came back into the living room to put it away . Turning on the TV , they watched in silence .

Kara watched Core leave the room. Then come back. "Who'd you call?" She asked on a commercial. She was curious and wanted to know what Core thought she needed.

" Just a little something , " she responded . Then , as if on cue , the doorbell rang to Kara`s cozy apartment .
Core stood up to answer the door , expected the person on the other side . When the man asked what she needed it for , she replied with ease . " I have recently acquired a snake , " she said , getting an odd look in response .
Coming back into the living room , Core turned off the television and set a cage on the table . Lifting off the cover , she revealed two compartments of rodents . One for mice , another for rats .
" Would enough of these satisfy you ? " she inquired .

Kara watched silently as Core went to open the door. The moment she opened it her nose twitched. "An animal?" She wondered. Core came back in momentarily holding a cage. When she opened it, Kara jumped out of her seat. "What the heck??" She said. After settling down she looked at Core. "Seriously? Rats and mice?" She asked her.
After shaking her head Kara picked a mouse up. It wriggled in her hand. She sighed and closed her eyes. A moment later the mouse stopped moving. After a minute Kara put the mouse down. "Ok.... That was gross." She murmured.

Rizu watched as she got up and scurried out of the room, coward. He quickly returned his eyes to the two attackers in the room. He was not sure what he should do, he could easily take out these two hunters. He had the better ground on them, he was in his Lycan form and close enough to attack. Which meant curtain death for hunters at this level. But he was still plagued with the idea that maybe she was walking right into another ambush. Rizu growled at them before turning and throwing himself out of the window that he came in, landing on the ground and quickly moving himself into a near by ally way. He then raised his neck to the sky, allowing the air in his lungs to roll out into a deep howl, signaling her to return to him. Rizu was furious and frustrated at the same time. If she wanted to be protected she was about to get her act together, and that meant now and if not, she would soon feel the pain he felt from being hunted.

Core looked down for a moment , temporary chewing on her bottom lip ....
" Would you prefer venison ? " she asked . Surely , they could find a place to hunt some larger game .

Kara looked down at the mice and rats then at Core. "Um, yeah lets go hunt some other animals or something. And maybe find an actual snake to give these rats too." She told Core. She was really feeling bad for asking Core to do these things for her. "Listen Core, if you want to go and do something else I understand. I mean I don't want you to think you have to do this with me." She told her friend sincerely. Though she really liked spending time with Core.

" I love spending time with you ! " said Core enthusiastically . She stood up , leaving the cage on the table . Core could always come back for it later .
" Central Park has a few spots where deer have been known to make an appearance , " she stated , walking towards the front door .

Kara nodded. And thought about something. She wondered if deer tasted better. That and she wondered where her brother had wondered off too. She sighed and followed Core.

Xander walked to the door of the apartment supposedly belonging to Ceon. He put out a cigarette on the ground, and knocked, taking a step back. He was dressed in all black, and was fully armed within reason under his long black leather trenchcoat.
He was not here to cause problems, but he was here to pick up a dead body. After not getting a response at the first knock, he knocked again.
His mind raced at this being a plausible trap. His sister wouldn't send him into a trap...but what if someone had piggybacked her phone...any enemy of Rogue's could use their relationship against her if need be.
He shrugged off the thought.
He hoped Ceon would recognize him as Rogue's brother, and not as the vampire who had merely tried to kill him not too long ago.
