Not like that, but in my first year of playing, my flute teacher wanted me to mark my headjoint with the body with nailpolish so it'd be in tune. Well, being the genious that I am, I messed up completely, and I couldn't get the friggin nail polish off. I couldn't find the rubbing alchohol, so I got the nail polish remover (hello, nail polish needs to be removed!), and i wiped it off.
The next morning, my flute's headjoint is breenblue and smells like nail polish remover, and entirly ruined. Lucky for me, my parents are doctors so they go rid of the gunk with handy dandy alcohol pads. - blaugh

I have a 16 year old flute...no kid. It was my older sister's and I took it for band. Well...apparently it was missing some trill key pads and every time I went to trill my instrument, I bent the main bar more and more. So yeah..I had to bring it into the shop because I f***ed up the screw that holds everything. Plus the many times I've dropped it and the one time that it skittered across the parking lot during a marching practice in middle school. I call it Rakki-Akki, which means Lucky Devil in Japanese.

i didn't do this, but someone took the headjoint out of my flute and dropped it on the pavement, and bent it so that it doesn't fit into the middle section anymore, and is unable to be put together.
i'm still waiting for it to be repaired =/

First time. I'm at a game and half time was done. So we marching band players could go get something to devour. I come back after 10 minutes and I take a look at my clarinet. It looked funny. Then I realized that the mouth piece was cracked....
People infront of meh told meh that someone was walking by a knocked it over. I was planning his murder D;. But I couldn't find him though. So every game after halftime, I would take my mouth piece and barrel with me. People stared. Hehe.
Second time was me being stupid. I tripped and dropped my mouth piece - it broke right off. crying crying .
Ah jeez, just my karma eh? XD

mirmirfied5 I've dented my flute WAY too many times to count. xp I've dropped it on my stand, banged it on the door, and I keep almost stepping on it. xp I'm so clumsy. lol. All i'm gonna say is, Thank god for Shmitt Music's matinence plan!!!! xd i know what you mean! i bent my flute...really badly...in a doorway...it wasn't completely my fault tho...yea...200 just to straighten it out...that's not guarnteed that it would play again...but it was my older flute...so my parents weren't too mad...but yea...i already had a new one..so now in marching band...i play the piccolo...cause it is the schools...and i drop my flute all the time...so i'm using their instrument so i won't hurt mine!! ahahaha!

Fortunately, I don't even have the smallest dent on my saxophone. <3 >w< The worst that's on it is the scratches from 4th and 5th grade from sitting in chairs. I was a shorty shorty shorty. xd

This past marching season, a freshman clarinet had her clarinet ran over by a car! It split straight in half...
I've yet to hurt my Bass Clarinet. It's kinda hard for me to that too...

Hee hee yeah ive had experience in this field. in 7th grade my mom was looking fior an oboe for me to have on ebay and we got one and the guy said that it was newly repaired. so the first day when i playing it, it feels rally awkward and at the end of class i go to put it away, and when i take the joints apart, i hit one of the keys that stick out, and the whole thing fell off, keys and all xd it was a disaster i was sitting there with a wood tube in one hand and keys in the other. ends up he glued it together beforee he sent it out whee

Last year the head joint of my flute fell off in the middle of a parade and was so dented it wouldn't go back in. Other then that a kid in my band left his saxaphone on the pavement before marching band practice and it got ran over.

Kay so during marching season this one week we hadn't been actually playing our instraments very much. Antd then on Friday or THursday we go and actually play some. But flute wouldn't play random notes. But sometimes if I moved one of the keys I could play different notes. It was weird, but it was like that for a few weeks. And one before a half time show the woodwind director was like play 4 tuning notes and it just didn't work out. SO he just shook his head at me. I have no idea how I broke.... But it's fixed now!
My friend's flute won't always play some notes right, but then if she shakes it, it'll play like nothing was wrong!
