Oh my god I was so scared! During the commercial break I didn't want it to come back on cause I was so freaked out! I don't often watch scary movies, etc, but that was one of the scariest things I've ever seen. Not much Doctor, but the angels made up for it. After the episode I went to open the door and suddenly I imagined an angel on the other side. I spent 5 minute staring at the door till I finally got my brother to open it sweatdrop

Brilliant ep. Genuinely scary.
Though this episode, as well as The Girl in the Fireplace (which was also written by Moffatt) reminded me more than a bit of The Time-Traveler's wife...
Stephen Moffatt should really write more episodes, though...

Why did the TARDIS leave them behind?? good question indeed. Maybe because they were 'unauthorised' or something... who knows. In fact I was rather amused when the TARDIS left them behind... the angels didn't get them though, I just thought it would have been funny if they did. For some reason. But seriously, this episode, best one yet!!! The angels were so CREEPY... it was awesome... like when whatsisname turns around and turns back and its only a few cm from his face, haha, best ever. I didn't like it how the Doctor called that machine a 'Timey Wimey detector' though. Timey Wimey explanation was cool but... timey wimey detector was going a bit too far.

OMG I LOVE STEVEN MOFFAT SO MUCH. <3 First Empty Child and now Blink, it never stops scaring the crap out of me (so dramatic) and sending me into the state where you have to watch it a thousand times. It was, FANTASTIC.
I'll never be able to look at a statue ever again the same way.

It was a really great episode, but i missed the Doctor. It was a really scray episode though... and creepy.
But i really like how it started with Sally pulling off the wall paper. that was cool.

I think the reason why things were set up where they'd be left behind is because they need to still be in that time frame to deliver the envelope to the Doctor as he goes to take on the Weeping Angels. There was no way the Doctor could help either Sally's friend or the other guy. They too needed to be apart of the time line for things to turn out as they did. Though, they did live happy lives. And Cathy did a very good job in getting a life together in the 1920s. Though she had a bit of help from a guy that wouldn't leave her. I'd bet it would have like falling into a fairy tail for the two of them.
One other thing. I laughed when the Angels were shaking the TARDIS.
That writer has a way of unnerving me. *toy monkey tapping it's cymbles* Mommy, mommy, mommy, mommy.

The best episode they have ever made in my opinion. The ending was absolutely perfect. The story behind why the angels are stone... makes you think about all the others in this world eh?

I had to work yesterday, so I set my DVR to record it and I just finished it.
O. M. G.
After last weeks teaser trailer, I was very anxious to see this episode. And I was not disappointed!
I wasn't so much scared as I was creeped out. I used to live across from a cemetery, and the statuary can be very unsettling. I love how they worked Easter eggs into it!
And can I just say that when he wants to be, David Tennant can be very off-putting. That video where he's telling Sparrow not to blink was eerie as hell.
And the idea for the Weeping Angels was bloody brilliant! Kudos to the writers for that one.
Definitely what I needed after the crap they aired last week.
Yay for the Creep Factor!

I didn't like it how the Doctor called that machine a 'Timey Wimey detector' though. Timey Wimey explanation was cool but... timey wimey detector was going a bit too far. After watching this episode three more times, I finally get it all....
The Doctor and Martha were touched by the Weeping Angels and sent back to 1969, leaving the TARDIS in the present.
Since stuff never happens to the Doctor on a linear basis, Sally gave him everything he needed to know when he got left behind.
He then encoded the TARDIS to come back to him when the DVD was inserted, phasing out of time, tricking the Angels, and getting his 'motor' back.
Any questions?
