urban_samurai red_moon_wolfess urban_samurai red_moon_wolfess Pherfiniel Wow, that's way different than my EB Games. Well, mostly because I used to go in there all the time, and I know a lot of people who work there. And they're all like "Hey, what's up?" It's so funny when new people work there. Before they enforced the M-game 17+ rule a new guy asked me out. And the other guy working laughed with me. And I was like "Dude. I'm like. WAY too young for you." (I was 15 at the time.) I felt awful. He was so embarrassed. they still don't enforce that M-17+ game rule down here! now that you mention it, I wonder why they don't though.... probably too lazy.... now that def. depends on where you go. i get pissed at my employees if they dont check i.d. especially since i can get put on suspension for it if im the m.o.d. not to mention i would never sell a kid a game that has an m rating on it. It might also have something to do with the fact that I am obvously 17 or older, and me just going insane. But I highly doubt that to be the case because I only recently turned so. You work at a game store? what one? yeah my comp. fired like 40+ people one day to prove that they were serious about it. and i work for gamestop. Yeah, gamestop and EB Games got so serious about that. Even my friends were like "I'll lose my job, no questions asked." So I wouldn't ask them to do it for me. I'm pretty sure Illinois is one of the few states enforcing M-games and R-movies. For a lot of places it's just the company's fault, but I think legal action can actually be taken if it happens here. It's obnoxious when you're a mature teen who plays tons of M games, but understandable when you see the 16-year-olds thinking it'd be funny to shoot airsoft guns into each others' eyes. Although that kind of stupidity, you're just born with. I don't think videogames had much to do with it...

My stores don't sell M-17+ games to kids either. I only got my M games because my brother always had to be with me to get them. The prospect of a law suit can motivate almost anybody I guess.

Wal-Mart is completely different. I saw what looked like to be a 10 year old buy Nighty-Nine Knights with no parent around. I was about to tell the manager, but I had to leave. Next time I go I'm telling the manager. That is if they do anything about it.

Have you guys heard the recent crap that parents have been saying about video games? Thier saying that our video games are teaching us to be disrespectful, and that thier the reason that there is so much crime and robbery in the world today. They are also saying that their the reason that over 80% of American kids are obese in the USA. I can see how that could be true to some extent. But the rest of it is preposterous!

I'm actually treated pretty well in EB. Sometimes it's just a... an adventure trying to get a game in there, especially when I don't know exactly what I want (they have an entire wall of PS2 games, most of which are shelved like books because there are soooooo many x_x), so when I do say yes to help, the first thing they ask is what kind of games I play. The clerks in there actually seem kinda impressed that my tastes go all over the place, and not just in cute games.
Then we chat about our favorite games, hard bosses, bitchy characters we hate, blah blah, and they present me with a game choice that ends up being perfect. heart
I love those guys at my EB. They're sweet.
If I do get the "wait you play video games?" attitude, it's usually followed by the person being impressed, not thinking I was lowly. I think a lot of guys are catching on that girls who play game regularly really rule at it.
But yeah, I get the occasional youngster boy who butts in and try to prove how he knows more than me. Whatever. I could cream all as Peach in SSBM and then laugh in their faces, "You got beat by a giiiirl~!"

I went into a video game store once and there were a bunch of guys standing around, i walked over to the gamecube section and picked up one tht i had wanted to try, it was a really bloody game that most people would think only guys want to play it.... i walked over to the cash register guy and asked how much it was (the price wasn;t there) and as i walked past the group of guys i saw some of them with shocked faces at the fact a girl wanted to play that game... it made me laugh.

Honestly, I get very nervous going into video game stores. This sounds horrible but.. I'm nervous because people may look at me weird for being a girl into video games and also nervous because I only look at RPG games such as FF, Kingdom Hearts, and so on... So not only am I a girl, but I'm a girl who's into fluffy RPG games. xD But they rock and don't tell me otherwise scream

I say they should only ban video games for guys cause they're the ones stupid enough to be brainwashed and go do stupid things. Girl on the other hand, well, we're smarter than that. And to top it off, we're way better at playing games than guys anyway. xd The obesity thing is true though. That's why I always make sure that I do an intense work-out video in between long playing session. rofl Right now my buns and thighs hurt so bad from doing this one video yesterday. Gives me a good excuse to sit around all day and play more games. Okay I'm rambling... domokun domokun domokun
