Hi, I am just looking for a bit of help improving my artwork. I requested to join, and was told I was close, but not quite up to standard. So i would really like some honest opinions on my artwork to help me improve. Im thinking about going into an art field when high school is over and done with, and i want to have a fairly decent grasp on my work. So here is my gallery on dev. art: deviantartfeel free to leave comments on my dev. art page if you can. ^__^

Hey, your stuff is really cool! I've never seen a pin-up artist turning the genre so much on it's head!

Hey! .. Um, I really want to improve on human anatomy, but anything more than the usual static pose is difficult to pull off ^^; More than that, though, I'd like to know how to 'pull it all together' better. Pin-ups are fun, but I want to make some actual, full-fledged CGs. I have trouble with lighting and backgrounds, and how to make the characters seem a part of it. I applied already, but was denied.. I should have asked why when it actually happened, but didn't think to. Is it because my gallery is bare? Or I just don't have enough skills..

Y halo thar. My name is Tyler, or Tielur, or you may refer to me in any way you choose.
I'm not a great artist, and I wouldn't even go so far as to say that I'm a good one. I mainly use mechanical pencils to work because I fail miserably with ink and paint.
I'll produce a gallery as soon as I get a scanner which might be as early as today.

I think alot of artists who use the web as their main source of info put themseles down because they do not realise that most really great artists always use reference by way of models or photos when drawing realistically.

Ah, hello there.
Well... A little about me, even though i'm not a member... I'm 14, Female, And seeing as my Dectective Father has drilled not giving away my name on the internet into me, you can call me Tass. (Tastic = Tass) I live in the U.S., and I hate shading. IHATEITIHATEITIHATEIT!. Erm, I digress. Anyways, I'm rather Mediocre, seeing as I suffer random bursts of inspiration that have a tendency to happen during the school day... The only decent things I do happen on lined or graphing paper, because they help me sub-conciously proportion my drawings. I mostly draw people, But animals will sometimes appear. My muse, Monika, Just kind of drags me around by my hair and tells me what to do. While I'm here, I should tell you, I'm more of an author than an artist.
Here's a little sample of my work, done recently on graph paper. Slight nudity, but done in a hopefully tasteful way, and only in profile. http://photobucket.com/albums/b328/Makaihi/Art Fags/?action=view¤t=kin.png Yes, she's pregnant. And in my defense, I meant to put clothes on her, But Monika wouldn't let me...

I really wish there was somewhere I could go to get some life drawing classes under my belt.. But yes, I do mostly make it up. I bought a really useful anatomy book a while ago, and that's helped a bit.

.+. Hallo, I'm Sophie/Spanner and I like drawing & occassionally painting [alhough I only have watercolours and I suck at using them.]. I did some drawing today, which I'll post at some point. That is if I'm allowed to without being a member. Umm. I mostly draw pictures of my friends, from photos. Just because I can't get any of my friends to stay still for more than 2 minutes. I like photography but I really don't have anything interesting to take pictures of. I'll try though. I like anime, and try to draw it but again, I'm not brilliant at it. My strong point is probably sketching, which I love doing. .+.

I know there are life drawing classes around my city somewhere but they are usually expensive (well, by my reckoning anyway), on at the wrong times for me or just for art students. It's easy for someone on an art course to say "go and do life drawings" because they get models brought in for them to draw in class. I have to fork this out of my own money and time!

Hay sup @ u fags <3
Im Purple Angelica, His Michelle, Haxyboo
or the artist formally known as MUFFIN X POPTART~
i draw anime and anthro and have for a very very long time. Uhm, i use ms paint more than any other program~ sometimes photoshop.
Im looking to get back into cging and I am always striving to improve~ (especially with things like perspective, anatomy and like correct shading) I draw with a laser mouse, shes new and i love her : )
But i find that doing so is proabably a big part of the reason why i dont take alot of time on my art, because a mouse is already so time comsuming xD
my biggest problem to date is impatience, i dont like spending alot of time on art, the max is about 3 hours ; ( Im trying to get over this, but lately i draw in a paint chat for lineart and basic coloring and then photoshop it for tweaking, so seeing as i cant rly save in paintchat.... i just have to rush around and get it done : )
anyways im rambling~ i do that alot u will find
uhm, im looking to meet fellow artists and uhm GET DOWN WITH THE SICKNESS XD

....Uhm.....Hi.
I would be D e l i r i o u s, often shortened to just Deli. Go with Deli, the spacing in my name is a pain in the arse.
I'm eighteen, female, and really have no life outside of school, work, and gaia. Friends and the boyfriend factor into that too.
My main thing is computer art. Dolls, CG coloring, pixel work, photo manipulation, random web graphics. That kind of stuff. Everything I do is done in Jasc Paintshop Pro 8 with a Dell laptop and a touchpad instead of a mouse. No tablets or anything.
Main reason I'm here to is obviously to improve on what I already do, and to add to it. I plan on going to an art college for fashion design, so having practice is going to help. I want to do more 'real life' stuff; sketchpads, pencils, paint, things of that nature.
Few examples of CG coloring: checker.board.mer.maid the snow queen

^^;; Hi. I'm ChiAkarui, or ChiA for short. I'm fifteen, almost sixteen (one month to go), and I have do life outside of drawing gaia, howmework, school, and writing. Oh yea, plus friends and family. ^^ My main medium that I work with is pencil and paper, but when it comes to posting online and doing avatar art, I draw digital art. I'm guessing you could call the type of digital art that I do CGing. But, I'm not to sure. The programs I work with are random oekakis, MsPaint, the GIMP, and OpenCanvas. Since I don't have a tablet yet, I use my mouse. ^^ The reason why I'm here is so that I can get some really good advice on how to improve my art from what yuckyness it is. Thanks. Oh Yea.. I suppose I'll introduce myself.
I, like many others, was declined from Art Fags. I expected it though, so I didn't feel bad or anything. I do, however, hope to stick around and improve my art here.
