For those of you who are here for help or just for the sake of being masochistic, here is where you introduce yourselves. Time to throw down.

My name is Megan, I'm 15, and I'm that annoying type of person who wants to be creative and artistic so badly but is mediocre-to-crappy at everything even vaguely resembling art. I'm here for help, I suppose.

Hi, I'm Mary and I won't be posting any art here yet because I'll be on holiday for a week, but I'd like to learn a lot more about digital art because I really enjoy it. Currently I'm using Photoshop 7.0 but if there are any other (preferably free or relatively cheap since I don't have a lot of money right now) programs you'd recommend learning how to use, I'd be interested.
I'm sixteen, and I live in the UK and I always had a thing for drawing since I was small. I think I picked it up from my brother when I was really little, to be honest, I remember trying to mimic him when I was seven or so since he was better than me. I took Art GCSE but attempted some kind of rebel-without-a-clue revolution against my "creative opression" a couple of months into my second year and just naffed about for a while before deciding I actually did want to get a grade and working really, really hard for about ...a week. I'm probably looking at a C, harhar.
I like music, maths, science, meh. I kind of poke the whole emo/pseudo-grungey/Kevin the teenager look and I guess that's about it.

Let's see, cheap/free/pirateable digital art programs. Um, Painter 7/8 (difficult for me, but Toasty can tell you about it) Open Canvas (stick with ver. 1 if you can find it, it's free) Pixia (never used it) Illustrator (if you're interested in learning vectors) Flash (yes, you can draw interesting things in Flash) Um... I know there are others, can't think of them right now.

I'm new to the whole "guild" thing, so forgive me if I blunder. I am attracted to the philosophy of Bohemianism, and I express myself (or at least something that originates from myself {i think}) through poetry and writing.

Not a member but would like some advice on how to get to "member standards" My name is stacy. Im soon to be 23. Been drawing "seriously" as in actuly wanted to improve since i was about 16. My medium of choice is markers for now as they are just a bit less stress on my hands (i have carpal tunnel sydrom). I used to own photoshop but my disc was destroyed. Here is a list of links to my artwork. They are grouped by stages of being finished. first listed in each group is my favriote and they lessen as you go.
Also note that most of my work is of an adult nature due to the fact i do alot of commissions. I will not post links to them. Sketches: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v163/stacycardinale/personal sketches/Image-13.jpg

I thank you very much in advance for any of your advice. I do realise most people do not like anthros, but i do try and keep a semi realistic look to their anatomy, really more of just humans with animal heads. Thanks again
