Torrid took a closer look at a building as they passed it, smiling to himself and finidng it funny that the two of them agreed.

"Beautiful? I guess it is. It's nice to look at, but I don't think I'd want a house like that. Must've taken ages to do...it's not very practical."

Antigone laughed, and hooked arms with Aysel, nodding and leaning towards her conspiritorilly. "Yes, you're right. No one will miss just two of us..." Sliding golden eyes from direction to the other, the Sanguine female acted while the teacher'sd were distracted, and pulled Aysel into a shop, digging around in her coat pocket for some money, hoping she'd be able to afford the price.

Ubel watched the building as they passed, humming softly, before his gaze lingered momentarily on the sight of Aysel and another girl vanishing into a building. Then he just sighed and looked forward again.

Dariyn had been skirting on the edges of the group...mostly in the back, crimson eyes wide and arms all but wrapped completely around himself. In truth, he was severely unnerved. This wasn't the sort of thing he liked...not at all...no indeed.

He noticed that most of the people he knew in any way shape form or fashion, either were not here, or seemed to be occupied. So he stuck to simply trying not to jump at shadows.

Abrid was keeping a sharp look out while Lelaus rambled on, and he saw the two girls slink off. With flutter of leathery wings Abrid slammed open the door to one of the quiet Fortune Telling Shops and folded his arms across his chest.
"You two heard the rules...stay with the group. If you want to have your Fortune Told, go and see Ardys in Professor's Elias' Planetarium during your free period. Now come on, hurry up or we'll get seperated."

Lelaus
"So, to carry on with Padmir's story..."
Padmir's Story

Padmir especially loved the Cicus animals and the monsters of the pit. She tried in vain to catch herself a Cicus Pet. She set up traps in the Flora Garden that managed to catch nothing but fellow students and irate professors. She even went so far as to use the portal in the gardens to get into the Fauna Gardens at the other side of the city, time and time again, searching for stray Cicus animals. But Padmir never managed to lure out a Cicus pet of her own, and eventually she grew bored with the idea of a Cicus pet. All of her professors breathed a sigh of relief. They breathed their sighs too soon, for Padmir had something -else- in mind to capture and rear.

By this time, the streets of the Melancholia District seem to be growing colder and colder. Mist curls around the corners of the stone buildings, and bits of broken roof tile and stone facing litter the increasingly worn flagstones. Even the weeds begin to look blacker and more sickly. The most noticeable thing about this part of the district is the overwhelming quiet. The only sound to be heard is the scrape of the students' boots along the stones, and the hushed whispers of students' voices as they draw nearer to each other for comfort and reassurance. Even the glow of the house lanterns grows more and more muted, as if the firelight in them is not strong enough to push back the blackness...

A thrill of excitement at breaking the rules went through Aysel as they ducked into the shop, and she looked nervously around, her hands shaking. It was...almost dusky in here, with strange odds and ends everywhere. It also seemed to be quite empty...though she couldn't really tell, what with how crammed the room was. "Hello..?" she called anxiously, grabbing Antigone's hand for support and vaguely hoping that she didn't mind. "Is...is anybody there?"

Nadyrr nodded a little at Elanin's answer, after his initial start he had warmed up to to the idea of having someone to talk to and felt more at ease. "I suppose so, but it would be a real downer to know that you were going to die in a few days or something of that sort." Nadyrr shrugged a little before looking around his eyes taking in the scenery.

Antigone squeaked in surprise, her hands instantly coming up in tiny fists as she was yelled at before she realized who was doing the yelling. Just as quickly as they had come up, her hands lowered, and she ketp her golden eyes on the ground as she slipped out to the shop. "Meanie," she mouthed under her breath, unable to resist being defiant.

Ubel heard the teacher speaking of the story again, but wasn't really paying attention, too focused on how... frightening things were beginning to become. His hand held on tighter to Grave's, fingers chilled and breath misting before his lips. He hadn't though it could get any colder, but it was... and it was getting darker, as well. More and more disturbing... A shudder went through the Academic and he looked at the lanterns as though willing them to brighten.

Dariyn's eyes only got wider, an almost comical thing if the boy hadn't been so frightened. He was beginning to wonder why he'd even come on this trip...him and his bright ideas.

Glancing around...he tried to find Grave, Morrow...just...someone that he knew.

He did NOT do things just to scare himself...

Torrid listened aptly to the story, the cold finally starting to sink in a little. From around his waist he took his coat, a short bomber-style jacket. The dark was making him more nervous, but for the sake of the ones he was with he held his composure together.

Morrow slipped into the crowd of people, reeking of paint. He tried to catch up on what was going on. He looked around and felt.. well... out of place. He only knew two people. Three if you counted that nitwit, but Morrow didn't count him. He looked around, desperate for someone he knew.
