Super MeissaIf Meissa hadn't seen the jackalope with her own two eyes at the beginning of the hunt, she would have sworn up and down that this "hunt" was for something other than the caged creature that the contestants had been shown at the beginning. That proof and the occasional shout of a sighting meant that the hunt was still going on, but that pesky critter had yet to cross her path.
Perhaps now was a perfect time to head back over the to Arm Wrestling matches in order to limber up for when she faced off against her inevitable opponent. She could come back and hunt for ribbon wearing animals later.

IllyriaCat napping 101 stated that you had to find the best hiding spot ever to curl up in and enjoy a few blissful moments of solitude. Illyria had, for the moment, allowed herself to curl up under a bush in order to steal forty winks or so before she would continue hunting. The guardian cat hadn't seen the prey animal in a little while now so no one could blame her for snoozing, could they?
Placing a paw directly in front of her Illyria stretched once before letting her eyes close in order to recover some of the energy she had spent over at the obstacle course. If hunting for jackalopes became too much, then why would she wish to continue?

Eternal Myrrha So crooning to the frightened animal and offering bribes wasn't working out anymore it seemed. Myrrha huffed silently before she found a small clearing in which she sat down in tailor style before simply allowing the sounds of nature on Cybele wash over her. Soon she would need to take this tranquillity with her when she moved back towards the arm wrestling tournament grounds. Rising from her feet after what seemed like five minutes of absolute peace and quiet, Myrrha vowed that after her matches were done that she would return to hunting the jackalope. Maybe the idea was not to hunt, but to simply wait out the creature and maybe find out that it just wanted a nice sized lap to burrow down into.

Squire IrkallaNothing was really being accomplished in the hunt for the jackalope but Irkalla had managed to find quite a collection of strange little pieces of flora that she was keen to take with her. At least as far as the tournament area where the arm wrestling was taking place. The squire still wasn't sure if it would be feasible to take specimens to Earth lest she introduce a new species to the planet that promptly outgrew the native plants. Nope, she'd not be responsible for an invasive, out of this world, species to take over on Earth. It still didn't stop her from taking a small sample of plants on the small walk that would lead out of the Hunt area to where she needed to be for her match. Arm wrestling wasn't really her forte, but signing up had been done on a whim.

“Mmmmrrrr…” The low, rolling note tumbled out of Mirosnjha’s throat as he gave the most delicate pounce over some low-lying shrubbery, paws landing heavily on the damp earth. There was a reason his kind had evolved beyond these sorts of hunts, and he was pretty sure part of it was so he wouldn’t get burrs in his luxurious coat! Miros hadn’t gone tromping through the forest in- gods, ever, probably! He wasn’t made for this, no matter what other Mauvians believed.
“Can you- can you wait up?” He panted softly, doing his best to keep pace with the far-too-excitable young girl while desperately avoiding touching… any part of the forest. He didn’t blame her enthusiasm. Of course his sweet bonded senshi would love to see all of what space had to offer. Miros just wished it was somewhere less… natural.
A twig tangled up in his tail. Mud squished between the fur of his paw pads. His low-hanging coat just seemed to collect all manner of dirt and foliage and debris. “Zero!” He begged in a yowl as she continued to skip away.
He’d pleaded with her to carry him. But he was too heavy. He slowed her down. She wanted her hands to touch other things, and she needed them if she was gonna catch that jackalope! He didn’t blame her. But this was miserable. Miros gave a pathetic sniffle that may or may not have been loud enough for her to hear, but he hoped it was.
The forests were not for him. He liked the way they looked. He liked the way they smelled. That was all he was interested in.
All this… running amok through the trees, chasing some creature that didn’t want to be caught… so barbaric… If he was very lucky, maybe he could find a nice shady patch of clean moss to curl up on and watch from a respectable distance. Zero’s fathers wouldn’t begrudge him that, he hoped. But that was assuming he could even keep his eyes on her, which even while he was following proved to be a difficult task.
They were deep enough in the woods that most of the other senshi and knights had dispersed out in all directions. There probably wasn’t anything too dangerous in Cybele’s woods…
But if there were jackalopes here, there could be other things as well.
He had to catch up.
And he’d just caught sight of a flash of pink hair pausing beneath a low-hanging tree branch, when he caught another scent in the wind. Another person. His head whipped around to lay eyes on the other, and relief flooded through him. Someone he knew! “Ah! Antisana!” Mirosnjha had never been so happy to see anyone else in his life. He wasn’t so lazy that he’d pawn the responsibility of Zero off on someone else, but there was no reason he couldn’t share it! “Do you remember ol’ Miros? I upgraded your ring for you!” And if just the barest hint of hope and desperation edged his voice, who would comment on it?

Beira, Super Senshi of Loneliness
He could see others rushing, hurrying. Some looked far more impassioned that he was about the task at hand. If anyone had seen him, maybe he looked too casual, or like he wasn't taking this seriously.
That wasn't exactly the case! He just didn't see the need to rush things.
Well, okay. And, also, he wasn't exactly pushing himself. This just wasn't his ideal competition, and it was so hard not to get distracted by how beautiful this world was. He was still looking for the jackalope, he was just also saving his energy in case it decided to jump out in front of him.

Belmont, Squire of Jupiter
Ah, it evaded him. It was to be expected; the creature was small and fast and undoubtedly far more familiar with the terrain here than he was. Belmont wasn't going to be deterred; he saw and heard many others behind him, and rather than be intimidated by the threat of loss, he found that he was more driven now than ever.
Just because he'd lost it once didn't mean it wasn't nearby! It could be hiding under any bush, behind any tree...
He'd been jogging but slowed to reassess his plan.
Maybe if he just took a moment to survey the area he'd figure out where it had run off to. Hopefully before someone else got lucky.
...But maybe he was just having so much fun running around, he didn't want to have to stop.

Dering, Squire of Lysithea
“I don’t know him,” Dering admitted. “I think I might know someone he knows, but I’m not sure. How could you tell he was a punk?” he asked, trying to peer after where the other Lysithea Squire had disappeared to, as if he would have some magical trail that indicated as much.
“Oh, but! No, I mean–you’re not bothering me! Why would you think that, we’re friends. I’m glad to see you. Um–thank you! It was kind of all crazy. I haven’t been a Squire for very long, I’m not very good at this. But I was up on my Wonder, and–oh, I’m sorry, the um–the jackalope. I have no idea where it went.”
He looked around, perplexed temporarily, and then just shrugged and picked a random direction. If Reims had a better idea, Dering was definitely going to follow, he was just worried he was messing up his jackalope hunting.
“How have you been? I just found my ring up at my Wonder, too. I can send messages now.”

If the Jackalope they were hunting was smart, it had stealthily run to the entire other side of the world by now. What was keeping it in this area anyway? Was this just a mad psychological game designed to get a good laugh? Some experiment? Maybe the Jackalope was somewhere in it's tunnels taking a nap, while they searched the briers and brush?
Hierapolis hadn't thought himself prone to conspiracy theories but there was some logic to at least some of his ponderings as he serveiled the surroundings.

Super Sailor PerditaHaving lost sight of the jackalope nearly as soon as she caught a glimpse, Perdita had no reason to argue when Connie tugged her along. Perdita might only know a few people here, of which Connie was one, but she had no qualms about meeting others. That was the main reason she’d decided to come here in the first place.
Perdita let Connie lead the way. Being a bit shy and reserved herself, she wasn’t much for exuberant greetings, but as they approached the Squire Connie had spotted, Perdita lifted a hand to offer a little wave.

Super Sailor YmirYmir stood still and stared Surtur in the eye as the flower was tucked behind his ear. A frown remained on Ymir’s face, but as that was his neutral expression he knew it wouldn’t come across negatively—not with someone who knew him. Ymir hardly knew how to react, so he didn’t react at all, merely stuck close to Surtur and allowed Surtur to continue the conversation until Ymir had something to say.
“I can visit even with the Chaos there,” Ymir reminded him. “I haven’t been since…”
Well, before Chaos had set in, obviously. But his trips to Surtur before hadn’t exactly been for leisure. His memories of the place were tangled up with the anger and revulsion he’d felt for what his own people wanted him to do.
A part of Ymir was curious about what it would be like to visit under less detestable circumstances. Another part of him would rather continue to hide away in the Gallos’ carriage house.
“As long as it’s not hot, I doubt I’d mind the weather,” he added.
