Just before the first light of the sun was to peak up over the horizon, the smell of frankincense burning brought Rei out of her dreamlike state. Peeling back the cover of bedding, she pushed herself upright. Acclimating her eyes to the low light conditions of the darkness surrounding her. As she waited for the adjustment, she could smell and feel the effects of the frankincense's sweet, woody aroma diminishing feelings of stress and anxiety. Her grandfather must of sensed a great deal of stress radiating off the both of them when she and Seiya had returned home last night. Unbuttoning her long sleep shirt, the material fell away with a sigh as she stood up. Crossing her room almost as if by memory, as she could see a little clearer in the dark she placed on her miko clothing to start the day off in morning ritual, cleansing of evil spirits and to start breakfast before Seiya was to stir.

After completing her morning chores, she had a feeling that they were going to go over to the Kou's residence at some point. Seiya, Taiki and Yaten's residence was a lot further away than a casual walk. Turning her head to glance across the courtyard her violet eyes fixated on transportation. Standing there before the window in deep thought, she glanced down at her shrine maiden attire. Running her fingertips along the material along one of her sleeves. Somebody was going to have to get Usagi to school on time. And it would be better if someone drove Usagi verses walking her to school. Who though? Seiya? She didn't know what was on Seiya's agenda for the day, other than to go to the house. IF not her, perhaps . . .Haruka?

Haruka. . .



Just thinking about her and recalling what happened that night in her house and the events leading up to it afterwards, just made Rei's blood boil. 'Breathe, Rei. I highly doubt that Haruka has forgotten about what she did and will come up with some kind of an apology. Right now, let's focus on ..?' Rei's thoughts were silenced when she heard the familiar jingle of a cell phone and a monotone Seiya answer the call. Not one to really listen in on a conversation, Rei turned around to turn off the electrical appliances she had used to make breakfast. And could hear clearly now the bulk of what was left of the conversation even though she was only hearing Seiya's side.

"And then what? Stay with her and look after her? As if. Do you think she will forgive you for what you said by doing her a favor? Don't act like you care now, Tenoh. She'll come with us, at least she'll be happier than being stuck with you."

The agitation from Seiya's voice was definitely evident. "Whatever. All I care about is Usagi and seeing her happy. You can do what you want as long as you're nice about it..." A few, not so nice words came to her mind at that point. Rei refrained from saying something negative because that would have only added more fuel to an already burning fire. 'Great... I am soooooo looking forward to seeing Haruka this morning.' Rei thought to herself with her right eyebrow perked high along her brow.



"Are you okay?" Knowing that was probably a silly thing to say, since Seiya was practically fuming. "If it's at as bad as what I heard. I'll go on ahead and pack breakfast. Kira may not have an appetite but she needs to eat and we all know that Usagi will want to eat as well." She wasn't trying to be funny near the end. It was a matter of fact statement. Usagi was always hungry. "Just give me a few minutes and I will be ready to head out whenever you are, Seiya."
