Senshi Actaea of the Harvest Actaea cocked her eyebrow this was the plan? She had been expecting a big battle, action. This could end in battle she supposed since that one figure made a good point nega members could teleport so there was no guarantee that they would all stay in the one place long enough for this plan to work. Not to mention would shooting energy at the forces of chaos really have the effect that their side wanted. She wasn't so sure about that, what happened if the effect like supercharged the entire chaos side? It was kinda a stupid thought so she didn't want to voice it. She looked around to see if there was anything she could catch site of that might give her a better feel for things.

Itztenoch

Stood strong against the onslaught, cacophony of questions levied at one and all involved. Itztenoch nodded gently, a careful tilt of his chin in Eso's direction, acknowledged his dear ones quiet outreach even as he reached a steadying hand to settle over the others own, to still the fidget briefly even as he softly mouthed, 'you look fine'.

Took him in hand even, easy tug to bracket up behind Nessa. Where she stood still, where she --- saw the flash of blade in her hands and he couldn't help but reach for her as well. Form a chain of connection between them. Grim in grip and stern in force, aimed to be an anchor at sea.

Set his free hand upon her shoulder, and leveled a look at those beyond. The gathering 'en mass, friend and curious other, casting doubt and aspersion and question alike....

"Breathe" - soft hiss of breath between Eso and Nessa.

They were the chosen few, they were the commodores committed group who had come to give - all for the sake of gaining something greater then themselves. The plan would work. It had to.

Sessrumnir, Knight of Jupiter

Sessrumnir rolled his eyes at Oberon’s antics, but he didn’t have time to be amused. Not when Caedus was explaining the plan.

His eyes narrowed on the two Velencian leaders. He also wanted to know the answer to Ganymede’s question. Why hadn’t they thought to ask for help? The Senshi and Knights, especially the ones who had once been part of the Negaverse, would have been able to help.

Unless they thought it would be too much of a risk. The Velencians were there for a specific mission -- to destroy Metallia -- and they might not have had enough time to trust that the Senshi and Knights they told of their plan wouldn’t just go to the Negaverse to warn them.

Especially not after so many had voiced their concern for the Negaverse and their opposition to forced purification.

They spoke as if it was the same thing as the Negaverse. As if being forced to do things against one’s will was the same as being free to make their own decisions.

“Probably doesn’t help that we have so many Negaverse sympathizers,” Sessrumnir said across the hill to Ganymede, but could also be heard by anyone else around her. He continued to watch Lyndin and Caedus, his arms crossed over his chest. Even the calming pulse of his necklace didn’t help ease the anxiety he felt. “Too much of a risk to ask for help, not knowing if they’d go straight to the Negaverse. Especially after that initial meeting.”

Did he like the idea of having even one Negaverse officer show up? Of course not. Cybele was right in that too many things could go wrong.

“Let us know before you call them, at least,” he requested with a roll of his shoulders, and he reached down to take hold of the fang that hung from his belt. At least they could be prepared to subdue them as quickly as possible. They were all there. They might as well make the best of it, especially if the reward was getting rid of Metallia.

Eternal Sailor Oberon

“Oh s**t. Lyndin has some kind of infinity. Gauntlet,” Oberon tapped out a message to Perdita, still speaking out loud for Sessrumnir’s entertainment (or something like that). “We might. Get snapped. Into dust. Yolo.”

He might have been a little too blasé about the whole thing, but after everything he’d experienced, nothing would surprise him. He was going to be there to support Caedus because that was what he’d promised. Yes, it was probably going to end in misery like most things in Destiny City did, but at that point they could only blame themselves for not having enough people prepared to take on whatever was coming.

They had aliens visiting Earth. They were going to at least try to get rid of Metallia. And if they did end up getting a bunch of Negaverse officers to purify in the process, then how was that going to be a loss for them?

At least he wasn’t a cat again. Yet.

“Ugh, why are mom and dad here? That’s worse than having the Negaverse show up,” he groaned under his breath to Sessrumnir.

Eternal Sailor Lepus

It took Lepus a moment, but she ultimately got the message, giving Charybdis a thumbs up, a conspiratorial grin on her face. “Ah, the stealth approach, then? No worries, you’ve got my back,” she said, fully understanding. Although she was an only child, the concept of avoiding detection by another wasn’t exactly rocket science, and if Charybdis didn’t want Scylla to know she was here, Lepus was more than happy to help a fellow chibi out.

(Even though she was no longer a chibi.)

“Etoile should be around here,” Lepus continued, in response to the younger girl’s question, “she said she would catch up, since she was watching one of her shows. No worries about no candy- there’s always next time!”

As for who her companion was…?

“Oh? This is my protégée, Chibi Aomori, Senshi of zashiki-warashi!” Lepus introduced proudly, completely missing the way Hokkaido was frantically shaking her head, as if to try conveying the point that this was not the case, and that once again Lepus had gotten the twins mixed up, giving Charybdis a pleading look as a cry for help, “I’m her mentor in the ways of causing mischief and just plain being awesome- we met last year!”

Guardian Cat Etoile

Generally, there was nothing that came between Etoile and her shows. Nothing. ‘Dancing with the Stars’ is on?? You weren’t seeing her again for another hour or so, sorry. She was going to watch each episode through to the end, and send in her vote via the website, for her fav celebrities that she wanted to win.

It was no surprise then that when duty called and the mass text went out for everyone to come gather, Etoile had only hesitated for a moment, before ultimately telling Lepus she would catch up soon… after her show. Once it was over, though, the little cat ran as fast as she could, taking a cab part of the way in her civilian glamour, to the designated destination. There were many people gathered already, which made it hard for a small cat such as herself to pick out a certain face among the crowd, but soon enough, she spotted her, and Charybdis.

“Sorry I’m late, but I’m hereeeeeee~” she announced to the two senshi, delighted to see Charybdis again.

Super Sailor Nephthys

Raising a brow the senshi of vampires stared at her fellow senshi. "Really? They're going to summon the Negaverse here...and they aren't prepared for a slaughter?" She questioned the senshi of the kraken. "I can see why some people are making noise and objecting. It's not something I'd be looking to do, I don't see it being a good idea." In fact it sounded down right dangerous to her, a slaughter waiting to happen.

"I hope we're all ready for what is likely to happen." Cause while their guests said they'd never failed a mission, and they knew what they were doing, things on this planet never went how they should. Bad luck and oddly magical things always happened...had anyone told them this?

Shaking her head she took the time to look around them, noting those who were around Scylla and herself. "I hope we're enough." She whispered for her friend to hear. "Scylla...I'll do what I can if it goes bad but I can really only drain energy from a few people. I'll do what I can and you can follow up my attack." Hers would leave people weakened and more vunerable to the other senshis magic. She was already figuring this was going to fail.

"You have kids...keep them safe and run if you need to with them." She'd cover a retreat if it was needed, but she didn't think she needed to tell the other this. She trusted the other got what she was saying. She was only a super senshi, and not nearly as powerful as Scylla, but the other had kids to make it out of this for and she'd help see to that happening. She wasn't trusting this, clearly. Her hands rested in her lap clenching on the heavy fabric of the dress she wore. She was nervous but ready for whatever was to happen.

"If we make it out of this we need some retail therapy. I saw the Dior collection and it's ok...but I like the Chanel collection for the winter. We should check it out together." Trying to lighten things, if only for herself at the moment, she needed it. She was already feeling not so positive about all this.

Lyndin looked at Cybele with an uncharacteristically tired expression; she had others that reassured her, but he did not want any misconceptions to linger in the air. Ganymede was nearby, so he said to each of them, “Research takes time. I didn’t know what we were looking for until we found it. I’ve spent weeks on Earth, studying everything I could. What I know of the Negaverse has been factored into all of this.”

Aliez was right, of course. “I wouldn’t put anyone in danger if I could avoid it. I don’t want anyone to get hurt.”

He said it sincerely, with the weight of someone who knew that such idealism was unfit for battle. There was no way there wouldn’t be injuries sustained in this. They just needed to be worth it.

Caedus swallowed when Scylla returned the gift; he seemed confused at first, and then wrapped his fingers around it to hold it close. She hadn’t been able to speak for long, and she already had others coming to her to guidance, but Caedus nodded and tucked the little stone into a pocket for safe keeping.

He would see it returned to her. He smiled, although it was brief, and did the same for Encke.

Lyndin continued, answering Myrrha’s question, “The machine won’t fire before it’s calibrated. I’ve taken every precaution possible to make sure of that. This machine hasn’t been used, but I’ve made smaller ones that functioned just fine. I’m sorry I could not give you a sample of its power before now but we didn’t have the energy reserves, nor could we risk weakening the comet.”

He looked at the timer on his ComTech. He looked up at the sky, but nothing seemed to have shifted. His attention lowered once more and he watched the group. He listened. He waited. He processed.

He gave them time to leave.

The machine made a beeping noise, loud and persistent, and he looked behind him to his Commanders before he gave a firm nod.

He looked to Sessrumnir.

“I’m going to send out the message in two minutes. That’s all the time we have to prepare for this. If you don’t want to be here, this is your last change to leave.”

And then, he reached for a large, flat lever on the machine behind him. He gripped it tightly and pushed it into an upright position. Almost immediately, a powerful electric hum rippled through the area. The sensation was odd, a bit oppressive but not bad.

“If you’re staying, you’re going to want to spread out,” he instructed the new arrivals. “Don’t go beyond the generators, you’ll blow our cover if you do.”

He smiled, polite, but there was a persistent seriousness about him. He didn’t seem like he was enjoying this; it was just necessary. He turned from the group to address the cluster of Vanguardians.

“Cadets,” he said, and turned to face the rest of the Vanguard. There was something steely in his eye, something dangerous. He was ready for battle, and it showed, but that didn’t make this any easier.

“I have never let you down.” He took a second to look each and every one of them in the eye. “Trust me.”

It lingered in the air, part request, part command.

“I would never lead you astray. You were chosen for this specific mission because I know you are willing to do what must be done, for the good of everyone. I believe in you. I know we’ll succeed.” He drew in a steadying breath and nodded sharply. “Stay in groups, if you can. Look after each other.”

Something didn't feel right to her, but in the grand scheme of things she was beginning to think that it might just be nerves. Though she had studied and trained, there were certain things someone couldn't be prepared for. So much hinged on a successful execution of the plan, this weapon had to fire, and under no circumstances was anyone supposed to get near it. All things considered it was a lot more pressure than the young woman was accustomed to but she would do her best.

Gathering her composure, she gave a firm nod towards the Commodore and set out towards one of the larger generators. She'd take up her position near by, a slight distance away from it, but close enough to be able to reach it if something did go wrong. Once in position she took another deep breath and fixed her gaze on what lay beyond the safety of the perimeter. If something landed on her doorstep she needed to be ready.

Had she charged her weapon?

...She was almost certain she had but in that brief instance she did have a sliver of doubt. Urgh, nerves were a terrible thing.

Location: E6

Be prepared to fight?

Absolutely.

When was Anser not prepared to fight?

Recently energized by finally being an adult senshi and a transcendent senshi on top of that, Anser showed up to the party scene ready to go. She was actually a bit disappointed that no one was already there to beat up--

From what one of the aliens said, it sounded like there would be people to potentially fight soon. For the moment, she would just stay where she was, observing the gathering to see who she would potentially be fighting alongside. Oh, she did recognize the older pages from the last time -- Anser lifted a hand to wave over at Paradise and Empyrean.

Princess Ganymede
Location: E2

Trust would have been an easier thing to offer if they’d only been given more time. After so long fighting this war, a little over a month was not enough time to earn Ganymede’s confidence. She would offer her cooperation, she would support her allies, but she did so under the assumption that their plans were going to fall apart.

Lyndin’s research could not possibly be enough. He didn’t know the Negaverse the way Ganymede and her allies knew them. His confidence could be admirable, but it may also be his downfall.

Two minutes…

Ganymede met Valhalla’s gaze beside her, then Sessrumnir’s across from them. She turned to Cybele and Kerberos, mustering up what little confidence she had for them.

“Be careful,” she said. “Don’t feel obligated to follow me, don’t even feel obligated to stay if you’d rather leave, but… if you’d like to stay close…”

She paused, struggling for words that never seemed to be enough. Ganymede took a breath to settle her nerves. The dread was building. They didn’t have long to wait.

“If things go poorly, I will do what I can to protect as many people as I can.”

Then, with one last apprehensive glance toward Caedus and Lyndin, Ganymede turned to position herself to the north-east.

Transcended Knight Delphi.

Looking ti the page of Neptune she nodded her head slowly. "As ready as I can be." Though she did wonder if that was ttue, how ready wa she really? She wasn't the most confident in a fight and she had never taken self deffence classes. She also wasn't the most active in battles. But she supposed her words were true...she was as read as she could be not as ready as she should be. This was the best for now. Hopefully this would, as the Cosmos squire said, would end tonight.

"Let's hope this ends tonight and doesn't end in a blood bath. I just want this war over with so we can focus on the important things." Like building their wonders and homeworlds. That was what she wanted.

Vyn
Location: C4

When Commodore Lyndin turned to Vyn and the rest of the cadets, Vyn adopted the Commodore’s steely-eyed look for himself. Vyn straightened and banished his nerves. The Commodore believed in them. The Commodore chose them. That meant something to Vyn.

It meant everything.

He would not let the Commodore down.

Vyn nodded, accepting his duties. He would do everything the Commodore requested of him, without question.

He turned to Aliez and said, “Stay with me.”

If fighting was necessary, Aliez would need someone more skilled in that area at his side. (That, and Vyn did not like the idea of straying too far from his friend.)

Character Prince Castor of Hail
Location: E3
Character Eternal Pollux of Frost
Location: E3

To say they had an argument had been an understatement. It was rare the brothers fought to the point of resorting to Italian, but the night prior the entire top offices had all but quietly vacated while the CFO and CEO had it out with each other behind closed doors. It was after all, a family matter, and their staff knew that when either of them began shouting, they'd likely get laden with more work and two very stressed out caffeine demanding men.

Still, there was a reason that Marlo paid to have his and Elzo's offices sound proofed- no one could hear them fighting over just who'd stay behind in the event they'd need to recoup from a loss. More pointedly, who'd remain alive in the event Jada and the other died and their children and famly would need them.

For a long time, Marlo had accepted that roll, but this time, he was done being sidelined- and he demanded that for once, his brother cease using the excuse of his wings as credence to why he was obligate.

In the end they agreed- if this was not a ruse, if there was no duplicity or a political gambit at play within Caedus's ranks, then if anything Castor would be needed in the event the plan very well did end up leaving a very large Metallia sized chaos vacuum that would attempt to latch onto whatever was most amicable. Pollux, by default, would be the one who'd have to pull Castor back should it be too much and, with all the variables at play, Castor's very presence posed a liability and threat. He would need someone he trusted at his side to ensure he was not put into a position where he'd be prone and risk being unable to assist should the others need to flee en-mass.

They had let Jada know- it was only right she be aware- and when the men arrived, they kept their distance, wary, distrustful, and expecting failure.

Chaos and Order could not simply be 'eradicated', it was to be balanced. And while chaos had the upper hand, such a sudden shift was bound to lash back upon them one way or another.

Upon arrival they also realized what else they'd have to contest with.

"Principessa." Pollux was the one who saw her first, his tone telling the young girl she'd not only been seen- but that she would very much regret it.

"Beh, alla fine dovrebbe vederci uccidere le persone, fratello."
Castor sighed, clearly exasperated and resigned, wings fluffing up behind him, keeping his eyes around them, waiting for the inevitable.

Empyrean, Page of Jupiter
Location: F4

“No, he didn’t,” Empyrean agreed with his wife, gaze intently focused upon their alien guests.

Some of the others were starting to spread out, moving around the field, preparing for that moment when, in two minutes' time, agents from the Negaverse would be called there. A part of Empyrean wondered if he should encourage Paradise to leave, but he knew she would insist on staying, even if things grew too dangerous.

Especially if things grew too dangerous. Their children were here. How could he expect Paradise to leave when he wouldn’t be able to make himself follow?

“This way,” he said, guiding her to the east.

On the way, Empyrean caught Anser’s wave and returned it. He knew from prior experience that she could handle things on her own, but he made a note to keep an eye on her as much as he was able, just in case.
